Chapter 21
It physically took the combined efforts of Vance, Fornell, DiNozzo and Sacks to stop Gibbs from going charging there and then, that along with the other Alpha's who stepped into his path, all voicing the need for restraint whilst tell the angry Alpha that they were on his side. However it was Tim's reaction to the events as he changed back into human form that had the most impact on Gibbs
"He yanked my tail Jethro! My tail!" Tim whined completely not caring that he was naked in front of strangers, as he held his backside with both his hands. The moment Gibbs heard his mates pained voice, he turned around and immediately wrapped his arms loosely around the younger man, allowing Tim to snuggle his face into the crook of his neck on his right side, as he looked down Tim's back.
Deep bruising was already clearly visible and Gibbs looked at Ducky, who sense the question without even being asked, having been able to give the young man a quick examination whilst he had still been in wolf form.
"Pulling Timothy's tail in such away, would have caused it to dislocate, that's the bruising you can see Jethro and it will get worse before it gets better, as all bruises do." Ducky explained before informing the pair of the rest. "Sitting will be not be possible for the next couple of hours and uncomfortable for the next few days I'm afraid, but I am sure there's will be no permanent damage."
Tim nodded as he looked at Ducky sideways on, snuggling closer he looked up at Gibbs expectantly and Gibbs obliged as he lean in and kissing his mate, just as someone cleared their throat from behind.

Abigail Sciuto was pacing in the elevator as it made its ascent, she was late for the meeting thanks to the idiots of the inner circle who had not only detained and interrogated her about Donaldson's death, but had promptly left for the meeting without her, meaning that she had had to find her own way into work and since none of the FBI personnel offered her any help that had meant using public transport, something which she found very offensive.
Deep in thought Abby only had time to register the doors to the elevator opening when Fox and his closest inner pack member barrelled their way in, making it impossible for her to get out.
"Hey!" Abby snapped angrily.
"Get out the way woman!" Fox growled, as he shoved his way past her, expecting the inappropriately dressed woman to move aside like lower ranked wolves did for senior pack members and more importantly Alpha's.
Having not registered who the other people were Abby retorted without thinking. "Just the hell do you think you are telling me what to do!" she demand.
If it were possible Fox's anger flaired and before Abby realised what was happening, she was pinned to the wall of the elevator.
"You will give me the respect I deserve as Alpha." Fox growled, he had sniffed the air, confirming the woman was a wolf and not human, if she had been human he would have apologised and dropped the matter
"Who is you're Alpha?" The Alpha demanded, as he let go and moved back a step.
"Gibbs, unfortunately" Abby replied meekly too stunned to do otherwise, no male had ever used force against her.
Fox took note of the underline bitterness in Abby's answer, he decided to test her, throwing out a question as if to no one in particular "Can no one in that pack respect our laws and traditions?"
"I do" Abby stated, even though Fox had let her go, she had stayed were she was, which pleased Fox, maybe the whole incident had started off as a genuine mistake, but he didn't fail to hear the lie that was being told. Fox raised a questioning eye brow at the comment, whilst one of senior pack members leaned in close and said something to him. Without knowing what was said, Abby noticed how it seemed to both appease and entertain the Alpha at the same time.
"In that case Miss….?"
"Sciuto, Abigail Sciuto" Abby informed
"Miss Sciuto, please join me for lunch"

Gibbs bristled at the interrupt, breaking the kiss with his mate before turning his head slightly and nodding acknowledgement to the remaining Alpha's just slight behind him on his right, as he protectively tighten his hold on Tim.
"Alpha Gibbs, we won't keep you." Parks started having received the acknowledgement. "We believe it's best to adjourn this meeting for another time."
"Sounds like the best option, Alpha Parks." Vance acknowledged as he joined the group.
"Agreed." Gibbs stated, as he turned both himself and his mate to better face them, causing Tim to shift over slightly, that ended the nuzzling that his mate had been doing, instead Tim just rest his head on Gibbs shoulder.
Jenkins took a small step closer. "We are all agreed Fox had no right to do what he did to your mate, our packs will support yours as and when necessary, especially with the council."
Parks snorted. "Not that Fox would get very far with them anyways, he's still out of favour in their eyes."
"Yes well that packs always been trouble in one way or another, but Fox can still be dangerous, his pack is much larger, male dominated too." Jenkins reminded them all, not that they needed reminding, they all knew that it would take combining the Park, Jenkins and Gibbs packs together to outnumber Fox's pack, and that was unlikely to happen anytime soon.
"Take the lad home Gibb, he's had a nasty shock." Jenkins encouraged as he looked fondly at the young man in the other Alpha's arms.
"I will." Gibbs replied, the younger three Alpha's bid Gibbs their farewell, however Jenkins held back until they had moved away.
"Call me Gibbs." Jenkins implored "We have matters we urgently need to discuss."
"I'll call you tomorrow Alpha Jenkins" Gibbs replied, satisfied Jenkins nodded, they shook hands before then older man turned and left.
"Gibbs?" Vance turned to his Alpha, having remind silent during the rest of the discussion.
"Teams only working cold cases, I'm taking Tim home." Gibbs informed, as Ducky, Tobias and Sacks approached, the younger man holding out his mates clothing.
"We'll escort you Alpha" Tobias informed

After an interesting lunch with Alpha Fox, Abby had been left a lot to contemplate, so as she re-worked the forensics of some cold case she let her mind wonder.
They had discussed various subjects, but in the main they centred on pack honour and history, Abby readily agreed with the Alpha's take on how things should be, which seem very much to impress the man, smirking as she recalled this, she mentally thanked her mother for teaching her the art of manipulation when it came to the opposite sex.
By the end of the meal Alpha Fox was offering her a position not just with the FBI but also his pack, to which she humbly requested time to think over the offer, which Fox had happily given her.

Sitting back as he watch Abby Sciuto walk out of the restaurant, Alpha Fox almost laughed at her naiveté, she had just played right into his hands, did she really think that a low life pack member like she was, even if she believed herself to be high and mighty, could seriously influence an Alpha. No Fox had plans, plans that would see only one pack in the whole of Washington DC, his first step was to take out his closest rivals, meaning Alpha's Gibbs and Parks, which in turn would force the numerous women in those packs to join his by law, whilst the men would be slaughtered.
His thoughts then drifted to a certain man in particular and he smirked to himself, well not all the men. Fox knew the history of how human wolves had come about, much like any other wolf and was very well acquainted with both the reality and fiction when it came to Omega's.
His outrage this morning, wasn't what he had made it out to be, he had been angry alright but not at the fact that the young man was a true Omega, what he was really angry about was that the Omega in questioned was now part of Gibbs' pack and that it was the same Omega his brother-in-law, from Norfolk, had informed him of and had promised to capture for him.
The Omega's age was what interested him the most, he had many child birthing years ahead of him and this would prove extremely beneficial to the pack as it would mean that the packs numbers would swell abundantly, as unlike standard female wolves that could only give birth once a year at best, True Omega's who's wolf was female could give birth at least twice, if not three times, every year.
Fox grew serious it was time to start planning the demise of Gibbs pack.

Early evening found Gibbs laying on the bed with Tim draped across his chest, casually running his hand up and down his mate's back but never going below Tim's waist line. Ducky had given Tim a small dosage of Cyclobenzaprine to help his muscle to relax, which in turned made his mate sleepy, so as Tim slept on and off, Gibbs mind returned to running over the events of the mornings meeting, his eyes wondered over the now purple/yellow bruising and his anger at Fox immediately rose.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Tim asked clearly still dozy as he lift his head of the broad hairy chest of his mate, as he looked at Gibbs.
"What?" Gibbs questioned startled as he came back to the present.
"You're angry, what have I done….." Tim started to reply, instantly assuming the anger was direct at him.
"No!" Gibbs refuted a little too forcefully, causing his mate to flinch and start pulling back.
Wanting to kick himself, Gibbs quickly wrapped his arms around Tim preventing his withdrawal as he took a second to reign in his emotions as he reassured his mate. "No, you've done nothing wrong."
"Then the anger?" Tim questioned, as he woke up further, he had an idea and eventually he would be able to distinguish between the emotions that Gibbs directed specifically at him and those that were pointed elsewhere, but with the relationship to his mate still being so new he needed clarification.
Gibbs huffed. "Just recalling the events of the day, Tim, guess I'm going to have to be more guarded around you from now on."
"What! No!..." Tim exclaimed, then suddenly cut himself off and he realised who he was talking to, ducking his head and blushing as he rushed to apologise for speaking out of turn. "I'm sorry Alpha."
In response Gibbs just tighten his hold. "Never apologise."
"But…but you're the Alpha I…" Tim's voice trailed off as he looked at his mate's expression.
"Yes I'm the Alpha, but when we are alone, you don't need to worry about pack rules and places, you're my mate, now it seems to me you were going to say something else before you cut yourself off."
Tim took a moment to ensure he conveyed the right words. "I don't want you to have watch your emotions, I just need some time to recognise what's meant for me then I will be able to ignore the rest."
"Really? You can do that?" Gibbs questioned surprised. Tim's grandfather had explained little about what his pack could and couldn't do with their abilities.
"Yes, it just takes time and practise. We can adjust how much we want to feel in any given situation as well as vary the distance, right now I am only concerning myself with our apartment and the corridor leading up to it."
"So we'll know if someone's coming in future before they arrive." Gibbs smirked he liked that idea.
"Yep, no more surprise visitors." Tim smile shyly back, before rolling his neck.
"How far?" Gibbs asked as he shifted them both into another position, so that they were laying to face each other making it easier to have a discussion, having recognised the signs of a cricked neck in the making.
"Sorry?" Tim replied confused by the question as he had just told his mate, the distance he was currently observing.
"How far can you feel people's emotions for?"
"This morning, when my ability came back online, I told you it was like a switch…..right?" Tim reminded and Gibbs just nodded, allowing his mate to continue his explanation "Well because it was so sudden I didn't have any time to put up the mental barriers that enable me to control what I can and can't feel, so it was my full range that kick in, which is around thirty miles radius."
"Thirty miles!" Gibbs exclaimed, completely shocked.
"Its cascades down the further out" Tim replied calmly, smiling as he felt Gibbs surprise and shock at what he had just told been told by his mate and the fact that Gibbs completely forget about guarding his emotions, taking in Gibbs sceptical thoughts and look he continuing in more detail "Grandpa taught me how to manage the barriers"
"Do you realise how many miles that is?"
"Err, from memory – because I worked it out once – two thousand, eight hundred and twenty some odd square miles" Tim answered "With blood family I've managed to communicate at a distance of three hundred miles, but that was very strained and took a lot of effort."
Gibbs stared at Tim in awe. "Your whole family could do this?"
"Yes, but I seemed to be able to do further than the others and…" Tim voice trailed off as he seem to realise what he had just been about to reveal.
"And?" Gibbs prompted.
"I seemed to be the only one that could detect their emotions no matter how far apart we were" Tim voice quivered sadly at the memory being recalled.
"Oh Tim." Gibbs sympathised as he noticed the change in his mates mood, as his mate again started to struggle with his own emotions over the recent loss, Gibbs gathered Tim into his arms whilst kissing him tenderly on his cheek.
