Umbrageous
Definition: angered at something unjust or wrong.
She was always the quiet one behind the camera. Her friend would do all of the talking and she would just watch with a smile as she filmed every single word. At night she would go over the tapes, every tape one after the other until the sun rose through the window to declare morning.
Every night she would rest her head on her hand as the screen slowly flickered in front of her mind-numbingly. One thing that would grab her attention was one boy. He had golden blonde hair and striking blue eyes, Tamiya had been observing the boy for months.
"I wish I could talk to him. All I've ever said was 'thanks Max for saving me from those bullies'" the girl mocked herself as she threw her body onto her bed.
"Honestly, Max is so amazing-" Tamiya closed her eyes as she relived the day she first met the boy.
It started out as a normal day Tamiya had just finished recording Millie after class had let out. She was just about to put her camera away in her bag when someone grabbed it from her hands.
"OOOH look at me, I'm such a great camera girl with my pathetic camera!" A girl sneered at Tamiya as Millie joined her friend's side.
"Like seriously why do they even think anyone watches their stupid little show." Another girl laughed at the two.
"Only dumb babies watch that show." The first girl added as she bounced the camera in her hand.
"Hey Tiffany, Lilay! Leave them alone!" Max's voice rang through the hallway as the four girls' turned their attention to him.
"Tsk what do you want Max?"
"Seriously you have to ask that? I guess what they say is true girls are from Venus. Well Tiffany let me tell you how the people on Earth are supposed to treat each other," Max strolled toward the girl with the camera and swiped it from her hand, "We treat each other with respect and kindness. If we see evil, like you, we stand up to it. So if you can't handle our customs maybe you need to go back to your planet."
"Ugh, you ARE so annoying! Also, we are not aliens!" Tiffany growled.
"Really? Could have fooled me, I mean you face is a different color than the rest of your body." Max claimed, nonchalantly.
"You little twerp!" Tiffany screamed as she began to rub her face makeup onto her neck to make it blend.
Tamiya sighed as she reopened her eyes, clutching the camera to her chest.
"Max, you are so amazing. I would even call you umbrageous." Tamiya smiled as she rolled over and fell asleep.
