Hi everyone. You miss me? Well, lets get started. I do NOT own Ninja Turtles or Frozen.

Chapter 21

It was now dawn in Arendelle. Things seemed to go pretty normal for the civilians, but for inside the castle, it was another matter entirely. Within the dungeons of Arendelle, Donnie was working on a large, circular, metallic pad. On top of this device was the mutated Scorpi-Duke, who was now unconscious and had his stinger torn off.

"Um… you sure you can… contain this… creature?" A nervous guard asked.

Donnie finished the wiring before closing a small lid and pressing a button. A pink, cylinder-shaped force field activated and encased Scorpi-Duke inside.

"I'm very certain." Donnie answered. "This is Kraang tech, and these kinds of shields are nearly impossible to break out of."

"Okay, I'll take your word for it then." The guard replied.

Donnie then left the dungeon, having more family-related matters to attend to.

Castle Dining Hall

Karai sat in one of the chairs adjacent to the table with a towel draped over her shoulders, and was given a bowl of warm soup by one of the maids.

"Thank you." Karai said as the maid gave a slight bow.

"Is there anything else you need?" The maid asked as she turned to the queen.

"No, that will be all." Elsa replied

"As you wish, your majesty." The maid bowed again before leaving for the door. Just before she could open the door, it was opened from the outside by Donnie, who had just arrived. The maid was given a slight startle at the sight of the humanoid turtle, still not a hundred percent used to them, but she gave a slight bow to him before leaving.

Donnie entered the room that was occupied also by Leo, Mikey, Raph, Anna, Splinter, Kristof, Olaf, and Sven.

"Ooh. Is it story-time now?" Olaf excitedly asked. Raph's eyebrow twitched.

Five seconds later, Olaf was dropped outside the dinning hall by the red-clad Turtle

"You need to wait out here." Raph said "And don't come in till we're done." Raph closed the door and turned around and was greeted by stares from everyone present. "What? It had to be done."

"Okaaay." Kristof began "I think we need some answers."

"You're a mutant too?" Anna asked Karai, to which the Kunoichi slightly nodded.

"Karai, what happened to you?" Elsa asked

"Well…" Leo began, not wanting his sister to be too down with telling this particular story but was beaten to the punch.

"Leo, it's okay. I'll tell them." Karai interrupted

"Miwa…" Splinter began

"Father, I have to do it."

Splinter put a comforting hand on his daughter's shoulder and nodded slightly. Karai sighed before telling the story.

"You already know the gist of my life. I was raised and trained by Shredder. He taught me everything I know, and he also told me Splinter was the one who killed my mother, I believed him, and because of that I almost killed my real family."

"Well, because he lied to you." Anna interjected "It wasn't your fault."

"That might not be, but how I got like this is." Karai replied "After I found out the truth, you can imagine it was quite the shock for me, I almost didn't believe it myself, until Shredder himself confirmed it. After that he locked me away in his dungeon."

"He raised you and then locked you up?" Kristof questioned. "What kind of parent would do that?"

"The murderous, self-righteous kind." She replied "My brothers rescued me soon after though, and I got away." Elsa, Anna, and Kristof smiled at that. "After I found out what really happened between my mother, Shredder and my real father; how Shredder was the one responsible for her death, I was just so angry, filled with rage." She clenched her fist in contempt "He killed my mother, and almost had me kill my father and my brothers. I wanted pay back, I wanted revenge, so I left for his lair."

"So you left to teach that jerk a lesson? Sounds like he had it coming." Anna assumed

"No. I went to end it. I wanted to kill him."

This earned surprised looks from the listeners, especially Elsa. "You left… to kill him?" the queen questioned

Karai nodded "But it didn't work out the way I planned. I didn't have a chance against him; he was prepared for me. I ended up getting captured, and then I was tied up over a vat of mutagen."

"The stuff that turns people into mutants?" Anna asked. Karai nodded again.

Kristof was now getting angry "It wasn't enough that he lied to your whole life and locked you up? He mutated you?!"

"Not on purpose, it was more of an accident."

Naturally, this left the audience quite confused.

"The mutagen wasn't meant for me, it was meant for them." She said, gesturing to the turtles "Shredder had that mutagen specially modified so that anything that fell in would end up turning into a snake."

"Why a snake?" Anna asked

"Because the snake is the rat's natural predator." Kristof deduced while looking at Splinter. Anna and Elsa soon realized what Shredder's intent was.

"Karai was only the bait." Leo began "Shredder wanted to drop us into the mutagen so that we would turn into mutant snakes and attack Splinter."

Anna was in shock. Makes what Hans did to me seem like nothing.

"That is horrible." Elsa commented

"Horrible is the word." Raph agreed.

"But once we got there, things got complicated." Leo said

"A fight broke out, and during the fight, Leo tried to rescue me. Shredder tried to stop him, and ended up accidentally cutting the rope and… I fell in." Karai finished

Anna covered her mouth with both hands, Elsa's eyes we're so wide they we're almost circular. If Kristof wasn't angry before, he certainly was now.

"After that, you can guess what happened." Karai continued. "I almost attacked my father, but I didn't loose my mind completely, so I ended up leaving. I was out on the streets for a few months."

"Until the Turtles found you right?" Anna hooped

"No." Karai replied "Well… they did, but Shredder ended up getting to me first. At that time, his errand-boy Stockman ended up making these worm-things that can control minds."

"Worms that can control minds?" Elsa questioned

"Shredder's forces stole a bunch of different chemicals and experimented on them to make a special mind control serum." Donnie explained "But the serum has to be given directly to the brain, so Stockman laced the serum over these mutant worms he made and had them go inside someone's brain."

"It's totally gross." Mikey added. "They can go in through your ear or your nose…"

"Ew!" Anna interjected. "To much information."

"So… Shredder was controlling your mind?" Elsa asked for clarification to Karai

"Yes" She answered "I was his puppet for a long time, but my real family rescued me and destroyed his serum and the worms."

While the audience was indeed glad things worked out for Karai, they each felt a great deal of sympathy towards the poor girl.

"For the most part, I have my mutation under control." She explained "But if I get too angry or stressed I… begin to… loose control. I have to keep it in check because if I…. really loose it… I could… hurt someone." Karai couldn't finish as she put a hand to her face. Splinter put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. Karai then felt something soft and furry rest on her lap, she looked to see Sven's head on her lap to comfort her as well, she put her hand on his head, giving a small grateful smile.

Each of the audience was feeling something different. Kristof was more and more angry at Shredder for doing all this to Karai. Anna felt a great deal of sympathy towards the Kunoichi. Elsa felt the most sympathy off all because she went through something similar, having to watch her abilities and not get too emotional or she could accidentally hurt someone close; but Elsa's childhood seemed like a happy fairy tale compared to what Karai went through. The queen didn't know what to say that could help.

"Look I hate to be the wet-blanket here, but we need to get back to the problem we have here." Raph stated

"You don't have to be rude you know." Anna told him.

"No, he's right." Karai said. She took a deep breath and set the soup bowl down before getting up "We need to focus."

"She's right." Leo agreed "Shredder's forces have manage to get inside the castle twice."

"But you guys sent them all packing." Kristof recalled

"They will try again." Donnie replied "This time, with a lot more force."

"Maybe if we just keep this up, Shredder might give up?" Anna suggested

"Shredder does not 'give up'." Raph corrected. "He wants Elsa and he won't rest till he gets his claws on her."

"And that dude's got all sorts of nasty tricks up sleeve" Mikey added

"Agreed, this castle is no longer safe." Splinter said. "In fact, I believe that all of Arendelle is no longer safe."

"You're saying that Shredder could attack my kingdom?" Elsa asked

"If he can't get to you directly, he'll get to you through them." Leo explained. "He'll find a way and do whatever it takes; he doesn't care how it gets done or who gets hurt, he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants."

"And I thought Hans was obsessed." Kristof commented

"So… what do we do now?" Elsa asked

"We could leave." Donnie suggested

"Abandon Arendelle?" Anna questioned "I wont abandon all these nice people to that man! And I know Elsa won't either."

"We're not abandoning them." Leo corrected. "We're drawing him away."

"They're right." Karai agreed "If the place doesn't have what he wants, he won't waste his time."

"So, to be clear, we would only be leaving so that Arendelle won't be in danger." Elsa said

"Correct." Splinter commented

"Okay, I guess that makes sense." Anna said "But where would we go?"

"Oh! What about the lair?" Mikey suggested. "Back at home?"

"I still haven't gotten the Kraang's dimensional inducer figured out yet, the lair's not an option right now."

Kristof thought for a moment before an idea came "The Mountains." This got everyone's attention "We can go up to the mountains, I go up there all the time I know them like the back of my hand, they're isolated, there's little to no people up there, it's perfect."

"That's a great idea." Donnie agreed "And with Kristof's expertise on that area, we could use the environment to our advantage."

"And we can go skiing! Booyakasha!" Mikey cheered, only to get slapped in the back of the head by Raph.

"If we're going up to the mountains, I know the perfect place we can stay." Anna told them.

Elsa caught Anna's smile and figured out what she was thinking, "Anna, are you thinking off…"

"Oh, yes I am. It's pretty high up there, and I wanted to show it to them since we first met them anyway." Anna replied

"Take us where?" Leo asked

"Oh don't worry, you'll know when you see it." Anna said with a wink.

"Very well then, we will be leaving in ten minutes, be ready." Splinter instructed.

Shredder's lair

The heavily bruised Stockman-fly was thrown against the floor of Shredder's throne room. "Pleazzze Mazzzzter Shredder!" He begged. "I did everything I could!" Stockman-fly was currently facing punishment for his failure to kidnap Elsa and bring her to Shredder.

Tiger Claw was present, standing next to the throne room with arms crossed, smiling at the amusing scene before him. Shredder grabbed Stockman-fly by the throat and pulled him close to his helmeted face.

"Because of you, I have lost three of my strongest resources!" He exclaimed as he extended his blades from his gauntlets and brought them close to the terrified fly's face. "The only reason I do not squash you, is because I still need your scientific expertise in my Foot clan. But do not fail me again!" Shredder threw the mutant fly to the ground "Get out of my sight!"

Stockman-Fly made a quick beeline out of the room

"What now Master?" Tiger Claw asked. "Shall I retrieve the queen for you?"

Foot Base/Arendelle Cave

A hologram of Shredder appeared before Rahzar, Hans, and Fishface and the three quickly kneeled before him.

"Master." Rahzar and Fishface both greeted at the same time.

"I am growing more and more impatient with your lack of progress."

"With all do-respect Shredder." Hans began "A human bug was not the best choice against four well-trained turtle warriors."

The hologram glared before speaking again "I am tempted to send Tiger Claw to bring the Ice Queen to me, and to punish you fools for failing me."

"That will not be necessary Master." Rahzar defended "Just send me in. I won't get involved in any fights, I'll just snatch her and be back quickly, and I'm far more stealthy on my own."

"Give me a good reason why I should let you Bradford."

"Please master, just one hour; give me an hour!" Rahzar begged

The hologram took a moment to think before answering, "Very well, in one hour you will report back to me, and do not fail me or I will teach you new kinds of pain."

"Yes master." Rahzar replied before the hologram cut off. The three rose as the prepared to leave the cave.

"He doesn't seem to appreciate you, does he?" Hans observed

"I didn't ask for your opinion pretty boy." Rahzar hastily replied

"I'm only saying someone of your talents should be better appreciated." Hans explained

"When I want to hear what you'll think I'll ask! So shut up!" Rahzar then left the cave and jumped from tree-to-tree heading to Arendelle.

Hans turned to Fishface "I really do appreciate your talents, both of you."

"Watch your silver tongue Princey." Fishface replied

At the edge of the kingdom, the heroes we're all prepared to head out. Kristof was with Sven in his dark grey snow gear; Anna was in her snow attire as well. The heroes we're all near the Shellraiser, and they we're greeted by the guards and a few civilians.

Anna, Mikey, Raph, Olaf, and Donnie greeted some of the kids that came to see them off and gave their share of hugs, and high fives (Except Raph did NOT hug). While, Elsa, Leo, and Splinter we're giving a few instructions to the guards. They said that they we're gonna be back soon, and not to engage any mutants that may arrive. They wished the heroes good luck before they left.

Karai was by the door of the Shellraiser, not being the social type. But she felt a tug on her leg, she looked down and see a small girl smile and hand Karai a small white flower (the same girl who did the same for Leo sometime back). Karai took the flower and patted the girl on the head.

"Alright lets head out." Leo called. Karai, Raph, Anna, Elsa, Donnie, Splinter, Olaf, and Mikey all entered the Shellraiser. "Lead the way Kristof!"

Kristof gave a thumb up to Leo before the Turtle entered the Shellraiser. "Alright bud, let's go."

Sven took off with Kristof, the Shellraiser followed close behind, following the cheers from the civilians who saw them off.

Sven began running uphill, it wasn't long before they got to the cold snowy parts, with Shellraiser close behind.

Inside the Shellraiser, Leo was driving. To say it was bumpy was a bit of an understatement. "Hang on guys, this is gonna get a little rough."

"I like rough." Anna commented

"Like your relationships." Raph cracked "Kinda like you got engaged to a guy you just met."

"Not gonna let that go, are ya?"

"Nope." Raph said with a smile. Only for Splinter to give him a slight pinch in the neck "But what's really important is that you learned your lesson!" he quickly said before Splinter let go. Anna gave a smug grin, while Splinter did the same.

"So, anyone up for twenty questions?" Olaf asked

"This is gonna be a long ride, isn't it?" Karai sarcastically asked

"Looks like it." Leo replied

Back in Arendelle, Rahzar had been leaping from roof-to-roof of the sunny kingdom, taking a few stops to sniff the air, any sign of the turtles or the ice queen. He first took a brief look over the castle, and didn't pick up any of their scents so he's now searching the kingdom. He stuck to the rooftops to avoid attracting attention. The more he sniffed, the more nervous he got; going back to Shredder with nothing usually doesn't end well.

"I am thinking of something…. White." Olaf said

"Is it snow?" Raph asked in a deadpan way.

"Oh! You got it! Gee you're very smart." Olaf observed.

Raph slightly face palmed "Why did we have to take him with us?" He silently asked himself.

"So. Where exactly are we going?" Mikey asked as the heroes continued their ride in the Shellraiser.

"Up the northern mountains, there's a..." Anna quickly covered Elsa's mouth before she could finish.

"Don't tell them yet! I want it to be a surprise." Anna told her elder sister

"At my age, I do not believe I can take any more surprises." Splinter said

"Oh don't worry, it's a good surprise, you're all gonna love it." Anna assured

"Somebody has a positive attitude." Karai observed

Donnie was at the controls and was observing the outer temperature continue to drop as they went further up the mountain. "The low temperature out here should help us a great deal; the Foot-bots electronics can't work in these conditions."

"Which means Shredder can't send an army up here, good." Leo noted. He looked and saw Sven stopping; Leo then slowed the Shellraiser to a complete stop.

The door opened. "Hey? Why are we stopping?" Raph asked as he poked his head out.

"You're vehicle is too big to continue further, we have to go on foot from here." Kristof informed as he dismounted Sven.

Everyone else stepped out of the Shellraiser, The turtles and Karai ended up wearing cloaks due to the cold weather. As soon as everyone was out, Donnie pulled out his T-Phone and pressed a button and the Shellraiser camouflaged. The heroes then began their hike. They we're presently traveling through a few stone arches, with several icicles pointing outward toward the opposite direction.

Anna took a look at Raph and Mikey shivering with their cloaks. "What?" Raph asked "It's cold, we're reptiles, cold-blooded; we don't do cold."

"Anyone got any hot chocolate?" Mikey asked

"You must learn to adapt and embrace the elements my son." Splinter told Mikey.

"Uh, Master Splinter?" Kristof asked. "How come you're not wearing anything?" He noted how Splinter only wore his usual robe and carried his cane.

"I have trained my body for years to endure the environment around me." He replied. "That and having the natural fur coat of a rat doesn't hurt either."

That earned a giggle from Anna.

Karai gave an amused smile as well before turning to the queen walking next to her. "Speaking of which, how can you wear that and not get frost bite?"

Elsa was wearing her usual ice-blue dress. "Oh don't worry, cold never bothers me."

"Right, ice-powers and all." Karai remembered.

The heroes then came to a steep stone cliff leading up further the mountain.

"Well, that's not intimidating or anything." Donnie said sarcastically.

"Looks pretty steep." Leo observed

"Don't worry, you don't have to climb." Kristof assured "There's a…"

"Uh Kristof?" Anna spoke, getting his attention. She pointed up to see Leo, Raph, Karai, Mikey and Donnie leaping and jumping off the edges of the cliff and jump up with their gifted agility.

"Oh, right. Ninjas." Kristof remembered.

After Elsa, Kristof, Anna, Olaf, Sven, and Splinter came up the stair set adjacent to the cliff they continued their trek and reached their destination, which was indeed a surprise for the mutants.

They all had to stop as they saw it; Elsa's ice palace. Their eyes went more wide then ever.

"Woah." Raph, Mikey, Leo, and Donnie all said at the same time. Karai was speechless

"Told ya." Anna said with a smile

"Most impressive." Splinter noted.

Leo turned to the obvious maker of the palace "Elsa… did… did you…?" He pointed to said palace

"Make that?" Elsa finished "Yes I did."

"Wow." Raph said "I mean just… wow."

"Awesome." Mikey said with sparkles in his eyes.

"Beautiful." Was all Karai could say

"Look at all this." Donnie began as he observed the palace "Such detail, perfect execution, just… flawless."

"I know, I said the same thing." Kristof told Donnie.

"Your powers are truly a gift your majesty." Splinter commented, making Elsa blush a bit.

"Don't get me wrong, this is great and all, but you would need some form of security for a place like this."

As soon as Karai said that, a large mound of snow rose up from the ground in front of the castle and took the form of a large behemoth, Marshmallow. The snow beast took note of the six strangers and gave a defiant roar.

"Aaaand I spoke too soon." Karai said as she, her brothers, and father drew their respective weapons.

Elsa and Anna came between them before anything could start "Guys no! It's okay!" Anna told the mutants.

Elsa turned to Marshmallow "It's okay, they're my friends; they're not gonna hurt me." She consoled. Marshmallow seemed to cool down and lower himself "Yes, don't worry, it's okay. Thanks for watching out for me, but you don't have to worry about them."

The mutants lowered their weapons. "I'm guessing Elsa made him too, right?" Raph asked

"Yeah, he's the guard for the palace, and Elsa's body guard when she's up here." Anna explained

"He's awesome!" Mikey commented. "His name should totally be… uh The Ice Guardian! No that's too cliché. How about… Frostzilla! Naw, that's lame. Oh I got it! Snowliath!"

"'Snowliath'?" Donnie and Leo asked

"Cause he's a goliath made out of snow." Mikey explained

"Actually, his name's Marshmallow." Kristof corrected, earning surprised looks from the turtles and Karai.

"Marshmallow?" Mikey asked. "That's boring dude, 'Snowliath'? Not boring."

"Hold on, let me get this straight." Karai told Anna "You named the little annoying one, 'Olaf', and the big fighting one 'Marshmallow'? If it we're me, it would be the other way around."

"Well, the names sort of stuck so…" Anna explained

Raph gave a cocky smile "Olaf was annoying, but I could get used to this guy."

Elsa then came up to the stairs "Well come on, it's actually warmer inside." She called.

"Ooh! Wait till you guys see the inside!" Olaf excitedly said as he ran up the stairs.

Everyone then went up the stairs, save for Marshmallow and Sven, who choose to stay outside. They all got to the palace doors and Elsa opened with a push of their hand. When they all came inside, the mutants marveled at the beauty of the Ice Palace.

"Wow. This is amazing." Leo observed

"Yeah, for a cursed power you got some great decorating skills." Raph commented.

"Thank you." Elsa replied "Well make yourselves at home everyone."

Done.

I would like to once again thank everyone for their support of this story. See you next time.
