Just a really short one shot because all inspiration for Forbidden seems to have gone away.

Roy sat in the grass, gazing up at the sky. It had to be close to midnight, but he was still out here watching the stars because he felt like he didn't have anything better to do.

He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. I can't help thinking that tonight would be perfect if only I had someone to share it with. If only she was here, holding my hand…Roy groaned softly and shook his head.

Thinking that won't change anything. It won't change the fact that she's probably the only woman who doesn't fall head over heels in 'love' with me when I smile at her.

Another sigh. What am I thinking about this for anyway? Moaning about this won't do any good. I just wish…that just once…I could sit here and watch the stars with her…I wish I could know that she feels the same way toward me, just something that would let me know.

His dark eyes continued to gaze up at the deep sapphire sky, lit by thousands of tiny stars.

I wish I could tell you, Riza. I wish I could say to your face that I love you.
