Sorry it took so long to update! I got a job and it sucks but its also money.. Oh the woes of being a teenager... Anyway I know I said I would get it up last night, and I feel like a jerkwad for not doing it, but I literally fell asleep at the keyboard. No joke!
Things had changed since Castiel had taken Jay. None of the youngsters were able to do much alone. They even had a guard posted outside the bathroom when they had to use it. Lucifer was a mess all by himself. Jay is what kept him grounded, what brought out the humanity part within himself. Jay was his little buddy.
"Who do you think would do this?"
But nobody had an answer.
Jay sat curled up in the small cage. Knee's covering his face as tears fell from his eyes. Who was that mean lady? Why was she so mad at daddy? He sniffled and wiped his snot covered nose on his sleeve, he wanted his daddy.
Daddy knew how to make all the scary things go away. Daddy would blow this meanie to little itty bitty smithereens. There was a bunch of mean people down here too, and it was cold, really really cold. Jay jumped at the pounding on the side of his cage.
"Oh looky here boys! This is what made the oh so powerful boss a softy!"
Jay screamed when they reached through the bars at him.
It was insanity. Almost like he was hearing Jay screaming right next to him, even though he knew that if he spun around the child wouldn't actually be there. For some reason though the small pendant that the boy had given him kept burning against his skin. It was like someone was poking a white hot poker into his chest.
Chuck noticed this, he notices everything, all seeing all present and stuff. He saw Lucifer fidgeting with the pendant that Jay had given him, he saw how he made a face that suggested that it was burning into his skin. He knew that He should have told them sooner but He never really though about it until now.
"Lucifer... There is something I must tell you"
He frowned when the naturally light blue eyes turned to look at him and they were a grayish hue. Losing Jay was starting to take its tole on Lucifer, quicker then He had originally thought possible.
The one angel guy smited the meanies away with a single flick of his wrist. He still wanted daddy, or uncle Mikey, or Uncle Gabe, or Uncle Raph, but he started to wonder if this angel knew his daddy too.
Tentatively he crept closer and closer to the angel, he knew it was an angel, how he wasn't sure but he just knew it. The trench coated man spun around when he got close enough.
"Go back to you spot"
The tone he used was only one Jay had heard when daddy was mad and got angry at him when he did something bad, so Jay ran back to his spot as fast as his little legs could carry him. Fresh tears formed in his eyes as he buried his head in his arms.
Where was daddy?
"So let me see if I am understanding you correctly. These small things that the kids gave us have tracking capabilities in them?"
Chuck nodded shyly. Sure He was God, but even he got a little shy sometimes. Now was one of those sometimes.
"I figured that as they grew older, and you still wanted to be with them, that it would be easier to keep track of them"
Michael agreed that it was good idea while Gabriel and Raphael muttered about never leaving these kids, particularly theirs, alone again. Lucifer nodded his head in agreement.
Unbeknownst to any one, Jay and Lucifer both fingered the pendants around their neck a the exact same time. Nor did they know that Abaddon was about to make the worst mistake in her entire life.
