anyway here is my personal happy ending but you can always help me with other ones!
"Momma."
A soft voice came and went and slowly my dream blacked out and I awoke before the end of my typical dream. I hadn't gotten to the part where Lan-fan returned, Fu's death, Greed's death, His Rebirth by my stone, the moment when Red's mother came to get him, the moment his mother confessed why, the moment when I found out Red and I where…
I woke from the same nightmare that I had been my life. I panted sitting up in my bed.
"Momma?" The soft voice of my child came again and the name spoken told me it was Miranda.
"What's wrong Miranda?" I asked softly and whipped fresh tears from my face.
"You were screaming again..." Miranda frowned holding her floppy black wolf doll to her chest.
"I'm sure I wasn't screaming Miranda." I frowned. Her ears were more sensitive than her sister's. "I was just talking in my sleep." I smiled and held out my arms for a hug. She came over and crawled onto the overly sized bed and sat in my lap. "Now what are you doing out of bed?"
"I had a bad dream." She frowned and made me wrap my arms around her. "What were you talking about?" She asked looking behind herself and at me.
I sat confused for a moment. "What do you mean?"
"What was YOUR bad dream about?" She asked.
I laughed lightly and gave her a squeeze. "How'd you know mine was bad?" I chuckled.
"You were calling for Daddy again." She frowned.
"Oh..." I frowned and simply sat with her in my arms.
"When will uncle and Daddy be home?" She asked looking up at me once again.
"I don't know Mira..." I said the truth sadly. "Your dad and uncle look alike so they both had to go home together to save it... they promised to come back though and take you, Gina, and me back to their home... they just want it to be safe first." I said snuggling my nose into my child's hair making her brown ears twitch away from my cheeks.
"What about Gina's condition?" Miranda worried about her sister.
"Her daddy will come and cure her..." is said and a strange silent tear went down my face and landed on her head.
I really missed Ling and Greed. I wanted them back at my side to help me. The twins were hard to manage and it's hard to keep them believing that they're fathers would be back.
In the beginning I was happy with the near incarnations of the two but now the longing was changing and growing much like my daughters themselves.
"Don't cry mom." Miranda said and hugged me from behind herself.
"I won't Mira." I said and let my face dry slightly before taking her off my lap and picking her up.
I carried her down the hall and spoke. "Let's go get you some water and get you back in bed." I smiled.
"Okay!" Miranda smiled and hugged my neck tightly.
I paused and looked to Gina's room where she started a coughing fit.
I sighed and went to get her as well.
"Gina..." I spoke softly and shook her awake.
"Ma?" She asked and sat up. "Was I coughing again?" She asked sleepily.
"Yeah... want a glass of water? Mira's having one." I said.
Gina nodded and reached out to me hoping for a ride. I smiled and picked her up as well both my daughters sat on my arm and hugged my neck covering my eyes with they're sleeves. It wasn't a problem for me with my ears so sensitive and my eyes dead.
I walked to the kitchen and set them on the counter before going to get them some simple water.
"Thanks, Ma." Gina smiled and took a sip as soon as possible.
"No problem." I smiled and patted her head and picked the two up and put them back to bed like the daily schedule I had slowly started.
I flopped back into bed and took out my dream book. I frowned and sloppy wrote in it like the last few years. "Repeat of "promise day" dream- ended before fight with Wrath. Mood: tired-(dream ended before Greed's death)."
I sighed and curled back up into my dreams.
Midnight sat alone her brown hair to her waist. Young Red came into the room and pulled her behind him. His words and sight lost to her as he spoke. "I'm home! Let's play Piano together again!" He smiled at Midnight as she stared blankly and let him pull her along. The younger red headed twin put the older brunette on the top of the piano where under strings would be plucked and the dull child could feel happiness in it.
Red sat at it and played making a smile come to Midnight's lips.
That was the relationship with Red and Midnight; before she was taken to be fixed, and only got broken more. Before her mother returned her from fear and haunting. Midnight being like a quiet shadow driving her mother insane enough to demand she be taken back.
I felt a shaking this time. I woke from the beginning of my Promise day dream. "What is it Mira... I wasn't even having a nightmare..." I said softly and rubbed my eyes free of the uncomfortable sleepers.
"My pup having nightmares?" A voice I felt I had long forgotten asked softly.
I perked, my ears copying me. "Greed?!" I asked tackling him in a hug when I realized who it was.
"Wha- no hug for me?" Ling wined with a slight pout.
I pulled back with a smile and hugged him to.
Greed's wolf ears twitched with jealousy and his free tail flicked with annoyance.
Ling let me go and smiled down at me his eyes still closed in his strange Manor.
Greed suddenly picked me up and I panicked for a moment but settled in with in a second.
He carried me out into the living room and sat me by Ling who had already helped himself to sitting on my furniture. Greed flopped down sighed. "So..." he said slowly unsure what to say.
I simply smiled and put my hand on his. I reached over and did the same with Ling.
"How are they?" Ling asked about Gina and Miranda for what felt like the first time.
"Well Miranda's doing fine... she has a natural half animal birth so she lucky doesn't have the pain I do..." I smiled at the beauty that my child didn't have to pay for a mistake that wasn't hers or mine.
"That's good." Greed, the second part of her genetics, smiled a tiny bit at that as well.
"Gina's struggling though..." I frowned and looked to my lap. "Her vocal cords are half and half so she has trouble breathing sometimes."
"She's the more human one right?" Greed asked. "Ling's daughter."
"Yeah. I tried using my stone to fix her, but I don't have it anymore. I would ask Dr. Marcho but I know he no longer has his. He used it on Havoc and Dad..." I frowned at the explanation.
"You don't have it any more?" Ling asked almost jumping from his seat.
"I think when I used it to bring back Greed it left my body and entered his once again." Ling and I both looked to Ling's near copy.
Greed's new wolf ears twitched with annoyance once again and his tail flicked thumping the leather couch. "So it's my fault she's suffering?" His eyes were closed and if they weren't they would most likely be twitching as well. "Ling's the father and more human so he's the one who messed up the brat's genetics."
I frowned with a pout. "Greed, that's not nice..."
"And I thought you loved me..." Ling pouted and turned away.
I sighed at the two who almost broke out into a well-practiced argument.
"Would you guys be quiet! You'll wake up Mira and Gina!" I snapped and smacked them both over the head. "Seriously... how did you get along enough to fix up an entire country...?" I asked them with a soft annoyed sigh.
Ling's smile came back slowly and he patted my head as he spoke. "We agreed that we wanted it safe for you and the twins..." he said softly and smiled brighter before Greed's voice brought my attention to him.
"... and that we wanted to see you again... as soon as possible." Greed said looking away from me as his tail tapped the sofa again.
"That makes me happy!" I smiled and my tail wagged causing a repeat of taps in my joy.
Ling chucked and pulled me into a hug from behind making me fall back onto him. "That's good." He smiled.
"Hey..." Greed glared at us. "Share." He demanded and pulled me to sit up properly, Ling attached. He hugged us both and I had never felt so warm before. Only one thing was missing.
"Daddy?" Miranda asked stepping into the room from the hallway, Gina at her side.
I smiled and spoke for the two speechless fathers who hadn't seen their daughters scene they were born. "Daddys' home."
Miranda ran straight for Greed and hugged him tightly climbing onto his lap to get there.
Gina was a bit slower but she curled up into Ling's lap none the less.
Greed stared down at Miranda. He slowly began to pet her soft shoulder length brown hair, making her look up at him with soft brown eyes.
Ling cuddled Gina and nuslled her black head where no animal ears sat.
She slowly closed her light blue over shining animal eyes as she let herself fall back asleep.
"Looks like they like you already..." I smiled and pet both twins' tails.
"I'm glad." Ling smiled and glanced at me.
"They... don't hate us..?" Greed blinked down at Miranda softly breathing and holding him.
"No... I wouldn't let them... I would only tell them the good stories... and when things got sour for them, I'd tell about how even you two had flaws... I wouldn't allow them to think you were never coming back..."
"Good, because she's mine." Greed said and hugged her tighter causing me and Ling to laugh.
Me: okay let me know if you want me to do another ending. it will be of your choice just review to tell me!
