Glitch's p.o.v

"Jake?" I asked, the wounded mercanary cowering under my boot.

"Yea." He said. "Now why did you not kill me?"

"Your not a Raider. Are you?" I asked.

"No! I already told you, I just got here today. I'm just a hired gun!" He said, reaching down and grabbing his leg. It was still oozing blood from his shin...it was definatly broken.

"Then why did they hire you?" I asked.

"Not sure, I told you. I literally just got here like half an hour ago! I was told they would tell why I was hired when I got here! I was suppost to wait for the boss to get here, but you guys just showed up and started shooting! The boss isn't even here yet." Jake said.

"So you have no clue why your actually here yet?" I asked, I needed to know everything possible.

"No!" He yelled. "What do you not get about I was waiting for the boss to get here?" He angrily asked, again wincing at his leg.

"I understand everything just fine, but..." I stopped as I suddenly had an amazing idea, but I needed to get Rexy and Chase first.

I looked at Jake and put the barrel of my pistol up to his head. "You move from this spot I'm going to blow your brains out right here!"

"I don't think I'm able to go anywhere anyways jackass." He said.

"Good, now lets just hope your a man of your word." I said, then walking away and into the barn to get Rexy and Chase.

The inside of the barn was in even worse condition than the outside, and it didn't help due to the typical raider 'decoration' style of guts and entrails hanging off the cealing and walls. All the crude grafity and smell didn't help either. All this aside, I needed to find Chase and Rexy. I didn't have to look far though, they where both standing at the end of a hallway and stairing at a wall that was on the right side of the hallway. I couldn't see whatever they where looking at because the corner of the narrow hallway blocked whatever it was. I walked down to meet them.

"Guys, what are you looking at?" I asked, getting there attention as I walked through the hallway.

"You might want to see for yourself." Chase said, not braking eye contact from whatever was on the wall...I'm not really sure if I wanted to know either, but I continued to walk down the hallway anyway.

The sight at the end was horrifying. There where three torched and charred corpses hanging from a metal wall from chains and large metal spikes that where pinning them to the wall by there hands and feet, one of the corpes didn't even have a head. They where definatly intentional murders, but it was one I've never encoutered, so the sight of it made we want to puke up my breakfast.

"That's just all sorts of messed up." I said, not able to look away from the horror.

"Yea, that's kindove sick." Chase said, gagging a bit.

"Agreed." Rexy responded.

I didn't really want to change the subject so sudden, but we couldn't afford getting distracted by something we can't prevent.

"Well...you guys have any luck finding Shadow in here?" I asked.

"No, he's not here." Rexy said, letting out a sigh.

"Okay then, I think I have an idea for how to find him." I said.

"And what's that?" Chase asked.

"Well, you know the guy outside." I asked, knowing the answer.

"Yea, why." Chase responded.

"Well, I figured out that he just got here around half an hour ago. He doesn't even know why he's here yet because the raider boss isn't here to tell him why he was hired. And you both know that raider bosses know all slave or capture trafficing that goes on, right?" I asked.

"Yea, and I see what your getting at, but what makes you think that Shadow was captured?" Chase said.

"Yea?" Rexy said.

"Honestly, I don't know...but you guys don't either, so it's a better lead than nothing...right?" I asked, hopping they would listen to the rest of my plan.

"Yea, I guess your right. We really don't know what where your doing, where kindove just wondering the wasteland and hopping that we find him...so a plan is better than no plan. Let's here it." Chase said, walking closer to hear the plan.

"Well, again, raider bosses know all capture and slave trafficing...so I was thinking that we hide and wait for the boss to get here, than capture him with any means necessary. Then we interogate him to see if he knows anything about shadow or even just near raider hideouts, then we just..." I was cut off by some maniacle laughter coming from the end of the hallway.

"SO! IT WAS YOU THREE WHO KILLED THEM!" The raider screamed.

This was definatly the boss. He was dressed in an armored variant of this gang of raiders clothing, he also had a bloody welding mask and a crown that was fassioned from bones. He had a tank on his back that had a tube that went from the bottom of the tank to whatever he was holding in his hand...but it was what was in his other hand that made we worry. He was holding an unconcious Jake by his throat.

"Let him go!" I screamed.

"Okay...If you insist." He said, his loud voice turning into a very serious one as he threw Jake onto the floor beside him and stomped on his chest.

"You little bastard!" I said as the three of us each pointed our weapons at him.

"Come quietly or face the concequiences.

"HA!" He yelled "It's nothing I haven't seen before!"

The boss pointed the unknown weapon at us. I didn't know what it was, but a weapon is a weapon, so I wasn't taking any chances.

"Guys, take cover!" I screamed as I pushed Rexy and Chase to the opposite wall that the corpes where on and rolled to the side with the corpses where as a wall of flames came flying towards me.

"Really...a flamethrower." I said to myself.

The hiding part of the plan was gone, but we could still wound him. I needed to tell Rexy and Chase before they started shooting.

"You guys alright?" I screamed over to the other side of the room as the flames where so thick that I couldn't even see them.

"Yea, where good...what's the plan." Chase responded.

"Well...we can still wound him and take him for interoggation! Just shoot his legs when he is reloading!" I screamed over as I wiped sweat from my face, that fire was hot as hell.

"Let's hope he runs out soon, the building might collapse any second now." I heard Rexy say over the hissing of the flamethrower and the laughing of the maniac wielding it.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Look at the wall!" Rexy said.

The flames where hitting the back wall of the room and it was in a blaze of even more fire. It was definatly going to give out soon. Luckily, the raider ran out of fuel. I could finally see Rexy and Chase again instead of fire

"Alright! Move up!" I said as I drew my pistol and ran down the hallway, Rexy and Chase following behind, as I shot the struggling raider boss in the shin...three times. I didn't want him getting back up. As I ran by I grabbed the raider by the shot up leg and started to drag him out of the now burning building, he was screaming and flailing out of rage and pain.

"Come on!" I screamed back at Rexy and Chase. "We need to get out!" I screamed back, the building was catching fire quicker than I thought it would, but we managed to reach the entrance without any further problems.

The three of us ran out and stopped around one hundred feet within the barn.

"Everyone okay?" Chase asked.

"Yea...I'm fine." I said, trying to catch my breath. "You good Rexy?"

"I'm good." He said "But...uh...Where's the other guy?" He asked.

"What other guy?" Chase said, I was a little lost to...but than it hit me.

"Shit! I need to go get him!" I screamed. "I don't care who he is, no one deserves to die like that."

I reached down at the raiders welding mask and pulled it off, I needed some heat protection.

"If this guy moves, kill him." I said as I looked down at the raider...he was flipping me off.

"Cute." I sarcastically said as I sprinted into the burning barn to retrieve Jake.

The heat was awful, the barn was nearly completely in flames now. I really didn't care though, I just needed to get Jake and get out ASAP. Luckily, he was still in the same spot where the raider threw him...he was also still passed out. I ran over and picked him up, throwing him over my shoulder. I thurned an sprinted as fast as I could towards the entrance without dropping Jake. I was literally inches away from the entrance when two of the walls caved in.

"Shit!" I said to myself.

I started panicking, I didn't know where to go now, and the air was getting thinner by the second. My vision was starting to get blurry from lack of Oxygen as well, and Jake seemed like he was getting heavier. I looked at the pile of debry where the entrance used to be and tried to kick it in...it wouldn't budge. I kept trying to kick it over and over, I was having trouble standing now. I think I could hear Rexy and Chase trying to move the debry outside, and I tried to warn them...but I couldn't speak anymore...I was now suffocating! I was now on the ground with Jakes unconcious body laying next to me, I was literally clawing at the debry just to see if I could do...something! But that kind of luck was impossible, instead, I passed out.
