A little bit of fluff I wrote as merely an amusement but also an exercise to get me back to work.

Priss Asagiri took notice of the raging storm outside the window of her daughter's bedroom, hoping her wife and lover would return home safely. The latest weather report called for a torrential downpour and high winds. Her mood lightened a bit as her daughter, Rachel, walked in ready for bed. "Did you brush your teeth, kid?" Priss smiled at the six year old.

"Yes, mommy."

"Good. Come on its bedtime and your momma will kill me if I let you stay up." Priss said as she turned down the comforter and had Rachel climb in, before tucking her in.

"Mommy?"

"Hmm?"

"Can you tell me a story?"

Priss gave off a smile as she couldn't deny her daughter a simple request for a bedtime story. Reading off the titles of children's books, Rachel said she hear it. "Okay how 'bout I tell ya' a story on the fly?"

Rachel just blinked incomprehensively.

"I'll make it up as I go along." Priss smiled as she sat down on her daughter's bed wrapping an arm around her. "Once upon a time there was a handsome red-eyed knightess who was charged by her Queen to find her daughter, the princess. Well, the knightess embarked on her quest to track down the ugly chrome faced ogre…"

"Chrome faced, mommy?"

"Yeah kid, this ogre was so butt ugly that even the other ogres would have nothing to do with him so he donned a blue helmet and chrome face plate to hide features. Didn't solve his problem with the other ogres though, they still thought he was a jerk!"

Courtney Krieger-Asagiri sighed in relief as she finally walked through the front door her overcoat was completely soaked and dripping but thankfully waterproof as her suit underneath was dry; she hanged her overcoat on the coat rack to dry while placing her purse and briefcase on a stand in the entry way. It'd been a very long day as she had meetings and other affairs to attend but also she was in process of turning her modelling agency over to her subordinates as she felt comfortable in their abilities to manage without her as she wanted to spent more time with her wife and daughter; she would only come in or make appearances when it was absolutely necessary. Dragging her body upstairs, she noticed the light in Rachel's room was still on and it was well after 9. Reaching the door, she smiled as she watched her beautiful wife tell Rachel a bedtime story.

Priss was about to continue with the story when she noticed her daughter was asleep. Kissing her daughter good night, turned out the lights and closed the door behind her. "Well?" a voice said to which turned to see the love of her life, Courtney.

"Well what?" Priss asked as she took Courtney by the hand and led her to their bedroom.

"Did the knightess save the princess from the ogre?" She asked wrapping her arms around Priss' waist looking into her beautiful red eyes.

"Yes," Priss breathed, "and the knightess and her princess lived happily ever after." Priss cupped her wife's face before giving her an open mouth kiss.

"And the ogre?"

"He went into the used car business." Priss quipped with a roguish smile.
