Harry settled more and more info his life in those times. There were times he would stop and look at his photos or look at the map. The map though he tried to limit. But Salazar always seemed to find him when he was in those moments. Or Hedwig. They were always there for him. He had no idea how Salazar always seemed to know when he needed him. As their relationship deepened, Harry had opened up to him more. He had told him most about Voldemort, just not that he was Salazar's descendent. He even took the man into his memories Kreacher brought back. Harry wanted him to see part of what he had left behind. It was the closest thing Harry could do to taking Salazar home with him.

Just before Christmas, Harry was headed out onto the grounds. He had been invited to spend time with the centaurs. It seemed the herd celebrated the solstice and not holidays as they did. They were headed to spend Christmas at Gryffindor manor, leaving the next morning.

Harry felt a bit dizzy. "What?"

He didn't know he wasn't alone till he heard. "Are you alright?"

Harry turned to see Helga. "I didn't know you were out."

She came to his side. "I was in the greenhouses."

Harry hadn't thought of that. "I was headed for the woods."

"You look pale."

"Just a bit cool."

Helga looked like she didn't believe him. "Are you sure?"

He didn't want them to worry. "I am fine, I don't need you worrying Sal."

Helga put a hand on him. "We all care."

Harry sighed. "I know you do."

"You would tell us if something was wrong."

Harry assured her. "I was just dizzy from the cold."

Helga squeezed his arm. "I am here if you need."

Harry groaned. "I have enough memories of the infirmary."

She laughed. "I will not try to take that personally."

"I hope not, neither should have Poppy. Liked her, just not the potions."

Helga turned towards the castle. "You will tell me if….."

Harry assured her he would tell her if something was seriously wrong. He told himself it was nothing more than the cold weather bothering him. He must have been coming down with He thought it was just his luck that he would get sick around the Christmas season. He had no idea what to expect of the holiday back in these times. Unlike his birthday, Christmas was a holiday he has actually had good memories of, since school. Last Christmas has been celebrated at Grimmauld last year. It had been tainted by Arthur's injuries, but he had spent it with both of his godfathers. Harry could admit he couldn't bring himself to look at their photos often, as he missed them. He could look at his parents and be happy they were alive and the Harry in his time had them and his siblings. But they weren't real to him. He had grown up without his parents, never knowing them. He may have only had the marauders for a few years, but they were family. They were the dads he thought he may have.

Harry headed towards the woods and tried to put his mind into the day. He was met by the hunters, and he was taken back to the village. Harry thought of Hagrid with a small smile. He knew Hagrid would have enjoyed getting to attend such an event.

The lead centaur motioned to him. "Join me."

Harry wen to his side and bowed. "Thank you for the invitation."

The centaur reminded him. "We have welcomed you as a member."

Harry smiled. "I am honored."

"You are bothered."

Harry stopped. "What?"

"Your head."

Harry didn't know how he knew. "A headache."

"Make a tea from this."

Harry took the bag. "This will help?"

"For a time."

Harry put it in his cloak. "Only a time?"

"Even we don't know all the stars hold."

Harry was pale. "Hopefully time."

The centaur lord motioned him to rejoin the event. "That may be your issue."

Harry tried to focus on the event and not the headaches or the worries either. He tried to convince himself it was nothing more than the flu. The centaur lord had said it himself, he had no idea what it was. Harry was slowly starting to move past the pain of all he had left behind. He would always miss them but he had a place here. As he helped with the school, and explored his feelings for Salazar, his life was settling down here. He didn't need the stars or whatever it was, to mess with him this time. He was not the savior back then, and he just wanted to be happy.

He did manage to get the rest of his mind into the celebration and enjoy it. He got to show off his archery skills with the centaurs. He was nowhere near their level but they could give him hints. The food was good, and he enjoyed the company.

Harry smiled when Salazar met him at the edge. "Wasn't expecting you."

Salazar kissed him. "Waiting for Godric?"

Harry smirked. "I guess you will have to do."

"If I didn't know my best friend…."

Harry cut him off with a kiss. "You know us both."

Salazar laughed. "Aye, I do."

Harry headed up to the school. "Maybe need to set him and Helga up together."

Salazar choked. "As likely as you and Row made as a couple."

Harry reminded him. "Not my taste in more than one way, and there is Robert."

Salazar changed topics. "How are you feeling?"

"How? Helga."

"She was worried earlier."

"Just a minor cold."

Salazar eyed him. "Are you certain?"

Harry assured him. "A cold."

Salazar didn't look quite convinced but he let the subject drop for now. Helga would not have said something if it was simply a cold. Perhaps because none of them had ever seen Harry sick since he had come. Even Rowena had noticed that we was a bit pale. Rowena and Robert were coming with them for a few days, before heading to her family home. She had said nothing, but the others guessed, she was likely pregnant.

That night Harry called Dobby and handed him a pouch. "I need you to brew this. And you are not to tell anyone."

The group headed for Gryffindor for the Christmas holidays. As in the summer, Helga and Rowena both planned to head home for a time as well. Harry was reminded that like himself, Salazar really had no family of his own any more, other than the servants. Both he and Salazar were very welcome though at Gryffindor by Godric and his grandfather. The cool welcome he had received the first time he was there, had slipped away. Harry and Salazar planned to spend some time up at Slytherin manner as well. This time Godric would not be tagging alone with them.

The morning of Christmas Harry could admit he felt a bit nostalgic as he headed down into the hall. He thought about the Christmases at school, and opening gifts with Ron and the others. Or Christmas at Grimmauld with his godfathers last year and the others.

Salazar came and sat with him. "Thinking of them."

Harry noted it was not a question. "Sorry."

Salazar kissed him. "Don't apologize for missing them."

Harry returned the kiss. "I am happy to have you."

Salazar assured him. "We all miss our families at times like this."

Harry wondered. "Would they approve?"

"Approve?"

"Of me?"

Salazar was surprised. "Why do you worry?"

"I know some people….. "

Salazar assured him. "My parents knew my tastes already."

"And they were okay?"

Salazar nodded. "All they wanted was me happy."

Godric had overheard. "And some grandchildren."

Rowena saved Harry who was blushing. "All our parents hoped so."

Robert finished for her. "It seems we are leading the way."

Salazar looked at Rowena. "So you are?"

Rowena nodded. "Yes."

It was not as easy or soon in those times to tell when you were pregnant. Of courses witches had spells back then unlike muggle women. But it still seemed to take a bit longer. The couple had been married since just before Halloween. Even Harry was happy for the two of them. He remembered assuring Rowena, when Robert was a prisoner, that he would make it out alive. He had assured the woman that she would have kids. He wondered if it would be her son who taught at the school, or Helena. He still wished he could remember what Luna had said about Helena.

Harry managed to get his heart and mind back into the holiday. He was surprised when one of his gifts was an offer to work on fixing up his castle. He was reminded he may want it for a child of his one day. Salazar had even presented him with a tapestry, after a joke he made.

Before dinner Salazar turned to Harry. "Will you take a walk?"

"I would like that."

"I hope you approve of our gift."

"I was just surprised."

"Godric thought if we had more than one…."

Harry smiled as the man trailed off. "If we have more than one what?"

Salazar pulled him into a long kiss. "Child. I have always wanted a big family."

Harry was coy. "A family with you? I was keeping my options open. Maybe Godric…"

Salazar snarled. "My brother…."

Harry laughing cut him off. "I would like two."

Salazar calmed. "Maybe one of each."

Harry ran his hand down his face. "You would make some beautiful children."

Salazar kissed his nose. "With your eyes."

Harry thought. "Tom."

Salazar pulled back. "Already saying another man's name."

Harry smiled. "Your descendent. He had my mother's eyes."

Salazar's hand went to his pocket. "Sign perhaps this is the right time."

Harry was confused and shocked when he realized what Salazar was about to do. He loved the man and he hoped the two of them would marry. They had been standing here and talking about having children together. But somehow he had not imagined it would happen this soon. It wasn't simply because he was younger. In his own time he would still have been a student and not an adult till next summer. Time was different here though and he would soon be a teacher himself. And the age didn't seem to matter to him right now either.

Harry was amazed. "Are you…."

Salazar knelt. "I love you."

Harry was so amazed. "I love you too."

Salazar opened the box. "I know it is quick, but I love you more than life. I swear I will spend my life making you happy. Marry me."

Harry wanted to say yes but the world started to spin. "No."

Salazar was upset until he realized Harry was swaying. "Harry."

Harry's head spun. "Sal, help."

Salazar stood up and tried to hold Harry. "The cold is back."

Harry clung to him. "I can see them."

Salazar scooped him up. "See them?"

Harry was losing consciousness. "My godfathers."

Salazar didn't stop but he was confused. "Your memories."

Harry shook his head. "With me and my parents."

Godric appeared. "What happened?"

Salazar realized Harry was out. "He has some odd vision and collapsed."

Godric called to Rowena. "Find Helga."

Salazar took Harry up to the guest room he had been given and laid him in bed. He was reminded Harry had not said no to his proposal. He had been about to collapse. He tried to assure himself Harry would get better and would accept his proposal. But as Helga appeared, and with Gideon by her side, it was hard. He was confused and his concern grew as he saw the faces of both of them. He had not been certain why Gideon had been summoned, even if he was their host. But when Helga asked about the vision Harry saw, he had a sinking feeling about both.

Helga confirmed. "I'm not sure, but Gideon agrees, his body is rejecting this time. He has been back here too long."
