Epilogue

Even though a little over two years had passed, Itachi had not been fully accepted by Konohagakure's citizens ( the exception being the couple's closest friends) but he couldn't care less. For the first time in his pained life, he was happy. He had a wife he adored and a child soon to be born. He had become the clan's leader vowing to change things to what he thought they should be.

He already had a nephew, Aiko's and Neji's son, but it was too soon to tell if he had either the byakugan or the sharingan. His parents said they didn't care, but the truth was, Aiko hoped for the byakugan.

Sasuke, on the other hand, the one who had proclaimed his second goal in life to be the resurrection of his clan, ended up alone and with no desire to change that. He spent most of his time between the Leaf and the Sand as he now occupied the diplomatic position once held by Hyuuga Neji. He spent little time in Konoha and even less with his siblings. His friends supported him through it all and remained hopeful he too could find happiness one day.

Speaking of friends. Guess who became the Rokudaime Hokage? I'll give you a hint: he's very loud and soon to be married to a pearl-eyed beauty. It took them a long time to get there but they were finally engaged. Hinata had even stopped fainting whenever he kissed her.

Wait until you find out what happens on you wedding night Hinata-chan.

A few weeks later a beautiful baby girl with pink hair and dark eyes was born. Itachi's happiness was complete...

...he was finally home.
