Symmetrical Love
A series of drabbles about Liz and Kid and their relationship. Each drabble will bounce back and forward through their relationship. Updated when I get an idea.
Chapter 21: Family
A small Kid found himself looking at his angry looking father.
"Who did this?" Death lacked his usual funny tone of voice as he stared down his five your old son.
"Dad!" Kid yelled out before the little reaper in his little suit pointed to the small figure next to him. "Asura did it."
Next to him stood the six year old Asura wrapped up in a mix of baggy clothes and a really long scarf.
"He did it!" Asura shouted pointing back.
Death sighed as he looked at the cracked vase on the floor.
The scene shifted as both young boys sat in the back seat of a moving car fussing about.
"You two stop that!" Death told them as he continued to drive on.
"Dad! Asura's got his scarf on my half!" Kid yelled out.
The scene chased again as Asura wrestled Kid to the ground.
"Dad!" Kid yelled out. "Asura is hurting me!"
Death yelled back. "Kick him in the balls!"
The scene shifted yet again. Kid found himself dressed in Asura's clothes wearing the long scarf to boot. He stared into the mirror and Asura stood next to him.
Asura grinned, "Now you look good."
Kid jolted awake on the couch. The series of dreams were more than a little disturbing.
He rubbed his head as he woke up. Next to him on the couch was a sleeping Patty and Liz. Sometime in the night the trio had fallen asleep on the couch together.
He was sure he dreamt that because he wondered what it would have been like growing up with a sibling. That didn't seem to matter now. He might have been sad at his father's passing but he still had family, his friends, and of course his weapons. The sleeping Patty was probably the closes thing to a sibling he had, he couldn't imagine her anything other than a little sister. Then there was Liz…
Liz slept peacefully besides him with his arm securely around her. Kid kissed on the head, he smiled at her extended belly.
Kid sighed, he knew he had family and he knew his family was still growing.
Authors Notes: Theme for the day is family and I think I got that covered. I hope to post the next one early since I don't have much to do tomorrow. So maybe I will post before I have to get to bed. Anyway some of the ideas here are inspired by a fan comic made by z-raid on tumblr. Anyway I thought this was a fun chapter and I hope you agree. Please leave a review telling me what you think.
