Rewind

*Katherine's room, 21:37

The TV screen was the only light in Katherine's room, but they didn't care, they were too busy snuggling up next to each other, a fire alarm sounded, they quickly jumped off her bed, and checked the screen, it was flashing, saying: 'Fire in the Arcade, keep calm, emergency teams are on their way'

"Quick! Let's go!" she urged

"What? Why?" Kevin replied

"Because that's where Blinx is!" she yelled back, they decided that going to the arcade was the best idea, so they ran through the door, Kevin stopped.

"WAIT!" this stopped Katherine too; Kevin gave her the time sweeper that she used, well, used to use, she didn't venture through portals anymore, so it just gathered dust. "Just in case" he added, the background hue shifted to orange, it was a Reactive, and they started running again.

*Arcade, 21:43

The fire crew beat them there; they shot constant waves of water trying to douse the burning wreckage, when they arrived, the hue shifted back to normal, Katherine tried to enter, but was quickly blocked by fire crew "I need to see If Blinx is okay!" she noticed Gina sitting on the opposite wall, she walked over "Gina, have you seen Blinx?!" Gina shrugged and Katherine quickly turned, she noticed the crew come out to make way for a stretcher, Kath tried to look, but the body bag was zipped shut, Katherine started to have tears in her eyes, Kevin tried to comfort her.

*21:59

"No one is telling us anything" Kevin said to Katherine as he walked back from the fire crew.

"Are there still time controls?"

"Yes, of course"

"We need to use the rewind"

"Okay"

"At the same time. At the count of three, one…Two…" they had their thumbs on the button. "Three"

The Background hue shifted to pink and everything moved backwards they noticed that Gina had a pleased face when she walked out (in, whatever, it's reverse so, yeah) and that's when the fire started. Katherine instantly knew that Gina was connected, when the rewind stopped, Blinx was just walking in, he ignored Kevin and Katherine. Then they saw Gina walk in. "this is it, go." Katherine said, so she walked in, and Gina was about to push a button in her hands, Katherine paused time, the hue shifted to a blue colour

"Okay, I need to think, there needs to be a subtle way to stop Gina from pressing the button, let's see, hmm….." the pause was half way through its span "umm, the arcade machines are always on and, what the heck, screw subtleness!" time continued once again "Hey Gina…" Katherine walked up to her and swiftly smacked her round the face, and she fell to the ground, unconscious. "Damn BlackFire, are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, what were you doing anyways?"

"It's a long story"

"Ok then."
