Chapter 21: Popsicles
Murasakibara and I decided to go get some popsicles after 2 hours of window shopping by the mall. I felt sorry for him as he just wanted to eat snacks all the time when some of the shops do not allow food inside. After sulking for a few times, Atsushi decided to keep a poker face of himself.
Once we reached a cart selling popsicles, Mura-kun immediately bought 2 sticks and started eating one before he paid. The seller was surprised and I had to quickly give him the cash before he accused us of stealing. We sat at the benches nearby and Mura-kun hasn't uttered a word and was just concentrating on eating.
"Atsushi, thanks for today."
Murasakibara looked to me and shook his head.
"I had popsicles. I'm happy."
I smiled at him and proceeded to unwrap my popsicle. Right before I managed to lick the Popsicle, Mura-kun licked it first. His action left me staring at him.
"Atsushi!" I said in shocked. He looked to me with his innocent straight poker face.
"What?"
"This is mine."
"Why can't we share?"
I giggled. "You mean, taking what is mine?"
Murasakibara pretended to not hear what I had just said and lay on my shoulders. In the end, I just gave up my popsicles. His eyes were sending happy waves and ate the popsicle. Mura-kun thanked me by leaving a peck on my cheek. Summer couldn't get any better than spending time with loved ones.
