Okay so, Jessica made a mistake... Oh dearie me. I was researching for this chapter when I noticed one tiny fact... Jason knew Hazel before he disappeared... Well he'd already disappeared in this timeline (Not that it's mentioned yet) so he's not going to know Hazel this time.
On a side note, that means the doors of death were opened sometime in September so at most... two weeks after Kronos was defeated. They may have been opened earlier as well. Awkies right. Gaea really didn't wait long to get the party started. Not really. This is really another filler chapter, the fun starts soon; but not yet. Which is slightly annoying, because filler chapters are shorter, and very hard to lengthen, so I apologise for it's shortness! But I am going to post this ridiculously short chapter because it's better than keeping you all waiting.
I am, however, going to stop apologizing for lateness... by now you should all see it coming. Really.
Anyway, onwards we go!
We didn't actually get on the boat until much later.
We walked around the Underworld and met a lovely girl named Hazel before making our way back.
Totally broke the rules of not bringing anyone back to life.
On the other hand we found out the Charon's boat is completely automatic these days.
It was fun making our way back that night. I kept asking Hazel questions about her time versus modern time. She answered my questions honestly, even after we got back to the hotel.
It was the next day that things got interesting.
Turns out there's a whole other breed of demigod. Nico had a demigod dream all about it. Turns out the gods aren't just Greek but Roman too. On the other hand, the two types of demigods aren't friendly. Which is why Nico and I had to be very careful not to mention much about there being Greek demigods.
But we were heading there anyway. First stop was a place known as the Wolf House. Hazel would have to start there and make her way to the Roman camp by herself. Nico and I on the other hand would be going straight to the camp as ambassadors. Well Nico was. I was just tagging along. It would be fun though.
When we reached the entrance to the camp we met two campers to whom Nico handed over a letter.
"I am Nico di Angelo, Ambassador for Pluto, and I request a meeting with the praetors," he said seriously.
The two campers looked over the letter carefully before nodding.
"And your companion?" the male on the left asked.
"This is Harley Potter, she's a clear-sighted mortal."
That seemed to be enough for them and we were soon led by the same camper through a maintenance corridor. On the other side he gave us directions before heading back to his post.
I was looking every which way at everything around me as Nico received further directions and we moved further into camp.
Eventually we ended up in an office area where we were waiting in front of a desk flanked by two dogs. I reached forward and took a few of the jellybeans on the desk. They tasted quite nice.
After a moment a girl in a purple toga walked in and took a seat on one of the high back chairs. Nico remained standing so I just took more jellybeans and stood besides him.
"I am Reyna, the current Praetor of Camp Jupiter. You are Nico Di Angelo, Ambassador of Pluto?"
"That is correct."
"And you are his chosen Ambassador why?"
"My father believes there are troubled times ahead. I'm sure you have noticed. My father asked me to begin contact with Camp Jupiter so that you are kept up to date with certain events. May I enquire as to where your partner is?"
"Jason Grace, has been missing since October."
The praetor gone? Like Percy? Too weird to be a coincidence.
"Search Parties?"
"No results, If by the Feast of Fortuna he has not been found we will be electing a new praetor."
Poor Reyna.
We spent the rest of the day on a tour of Camp Jupiter. I was much bigger than Camp Half-Blood, but a lot less fun. Everyone was busy doing some duty, preparing for the War Games that night. War Games were like the capture the flag that we played at Camp Half Blood. So alike that I still wasn't allowed to join in.
At least here I could actually see what was going on. I could never see enough of capture the flag due to the trees. Tonight Cohorts one and two were defending while the others attacked. Giant eagles hovered above the battlefield at the ready for people to be carried away. I'd love to fly on an eagle. Apparently they do practice with them at the camp. I'd have to ask Nico about that, it would be so much fun! I wonder if I could have one as a pet... No it'd probably eat Susie and that wouldn't be any good. Plus I couldn't speak bird. Having a pet that I could understand was so much cooler.
The war games were very... exciting? The defending team won, although it seems as though this was expected.
Nico and I left for home shortly after the games were over.
Susie was very glad that we came back. She wouldn't say it directly but "Thissss placcccce isssss sssssso boring. You really ssssshouldn't leave me here by mysssssself you insssssufferable bratsssss" was close enough.
Don't forget to vote on the poll on my profile! Thanks to those who already have!
Again, sorry for such a short chapter, I did my best to bring the word count up but it really was no good. Next chapter should be much more fun, It'll skip over a bit of time though.
At least next time it won't be another filler chapter!
Reviews and Ideas are Appreciated and Adored!
