Magni is sitting on the beach under the heat of the noon sun. He has been thinking more about what Stan told him about his history, and more importantly about his father's history. Magni wondered how he could even exist here if his parents of this period were never married. Magni still had visions of New Asgard floating in his mind, but now more than ever he doubted that he would ever get back home again. Stan walks up to him and sits down in the sand next to him.

"Hey, how are you doing?"

"I wonder how I can even be here? You said my parents are bitter enemies here and that they fight all the time. My grandfather Odin is still king of Asgard, so where does that leave me. Even the history books here don't mention anything about the legacy of New Asgard."

"Magni they might not mention New Asgard, but they do mention about Thor having two sons. You are one of them."

"That just means one of your mid-guard scribes got confused or mistaken. I never had any brothers, and it looks like I don't have any family at all to think of."

"Listen, buddy, I know you are feeling down on yourself, but at the end of the day does it matter so much as where you came from, or the fact that you are here now? Until we figure this whole thing out, you have Rebecca and me as your family."

"Ha friend Stan you are right, I have been down on myself. I still miss my home of New Asgard, and I will keep looking for a way back there. While I am here, I will make the best of it."

"Good, I am going to go back and let Rebecca know that you are doing better. Why don't you come back with me too?"

"Not right now, I am going to sit out here for a little while longer. Then as you say, I will catch up with you later."

If Magni only knew that he was still being watched on the beach by Madame Viper and that her plans were about to go into motion that would change him and his friends live's forever. In her underwater laboratory, Madame Viper walks toward her special project section where her scientist have been working night and day to please their master.

Viper had been demanded results from her scientist ever since they found a string of Magni's hair after his fight with the sea monster. Viper wanted to develop a creature with his strengths but entirely loyal to her. Although she would never admit it to her servants, Magni's impressive strength could jeopardize her plans for Shore City. After watching his many battles over the last few weeks, she was beginning to believe that he could be the son of Thor like he keeps saying. They were no secrets from Madame Viper anywhere in Shore City.

Rebecca and Stan both were worried about their friend Magni, but neither one of them knew how to help him. It was not every day you tell someone that everything they thought they knew was wrong and that their entire existence was fake. That was the task they were facing with Magni. On top of that, Derek knew that Rebecca was starting to deliver feelings for him, and he was not sure if that was a good thing or not giving everything that Magni was going through at the moment.

"How do you think that we can help him? He looked so sad on the beach."

"I know, but I think we just need to give him some time and space?"

"All I keep thinking about is the first time you introduced me to your cousin, ha ha; he was so sure of himself back them. But now it seems he keeps doubting everything we tell him."

The door opens, and Magni walks in without saying a word to either of them. They just look at each other as Magni walks around them.

"Magni, I think you should consider letting me contact the Avengers so you can talk to your father. Maybe he will be able to help you find out what happened to your world of New Asgard."

"That sounds like a good idea. He should at least have some ideas, and who knows maybe our Thor comes from New Asgard as well and is just as lost as you are in our world."

"My friends I understand what you are trying to do, but no this Thor is not my father. He looks much too young to be him. He is Asgardian and as such may have some answers for me, but I don't know if I can look in the eyes of the man that I used to call father, knowing I would be a stranger to him in this world."

Magni walks away with his head down, Rebecca reaches out for him, but Stan stops her.

"Why did you stop me from helping him?"

"Rebecca I think that Magni needs some time alone right now. We have already told him the truth, but he needs to work some things out for himself. Why don't we go into town and pick up some groceries, and give him time to himself."

Rebecca started to argue, but reluctant agreed with Stan as they both pack and leave to find some groceries.

Viper had been studying film on Magni and thought that it was time to test her master plan out. But first, she knew that she had to draw Magni out from hiding somewhere on the waterfront. Then as an answer to her question, she sees Stan and Rebecca walking going into town. She smiles seeing Rebecca because one thing that all her research has pointed out is that where ever Rebecca is, Magni is sure to follow.

"Stan, do you think that we should have left him along? I know that he is not your cousin, but other worlds, parallel universes is a lot for anybody to take?"

"I got to level with you when I think of everything he has told me since we met that night in the alley. At first, I thought he must have been crazy, but after watching the things that he can do, I realized that he must be telling the truth. If we can have cosmic rays, giant -men, and hulks in our world, whose to say if what Magni believes is real."

As they turn the corner walking by Shore City Gardens and future senior citizen complex Rebecca is first to see the flames as she pulls on Stan's arm, within moments the entire complex is engulfed in flames. They both run across the street to put some distance between them and the flaming building. As they both stare in disbelief, a figure walks out of the building, covered in flames, at first they think it's a victim, but the as they look on the fire does not appear to be hurting this person at all. That's when Stan says "It's a Lava Man!"
