"cilan, are you serious?!" says ash also shocked
"yes it's quite true. soon after I left you guys me and burgundy got together. she wanted me to help her with her connoisseus training so I took her under my wing. not long after that our partnership developed into a budding romance. ah the aroma of love is so divine! isn't that right, darling?" says cilan turning to burgundy
"c-cilan, what do you think you're doing?! telling them all that! are you trying to embarrass me?!" says burgundy still blushing hard
"not at all love, but it's the truth isn't it? no need to hide it so we might as well show the world how much we feel for each other. besides it was you who kinda pursued me first if I recall. when I went back to the striaton city gym you followed me back there. you watched my gym battles, cheered me on, praised me when I won, and even got jealous when the other cheerleaders cheered for me haha" says cilan smiling
"d-d-don't tell them that!" says burgundy blushing more
"heh oh sorry dear burgundy. I just can't hold in the feelings we share" says cilan
"tch, even so.. you don't have to advertise it. geez!" says burgundy folding her arms pouting
cilan chuckles a bit looking at burgundy as she turns away.
"wow cilan, never thought I would see you dating burgundy" says ash
"yeah, so now you're seeing someone too cilan. unbelieveable" says iris
"hmm? seeing someone too? what do you mean iris?" says cilan
"oh that's right you don't know yet" says iris
"huh? don't know what?" says cilan
then brock walks over to the group and puts his hand on cilan's shoulder.
"well you see cilan... ash has got a girlfriend now too" says brock
"hmm?... what?! really?!" says cilan looking at ash
"uh... y-yeah haha" says ash rubbing his neck shyly
"oooh amazing! so we both found our soul mate! who is she? I must meet her!" says cilan
"oh here she comes now" says brock looking behind ash
serena, who had been in the kitchen getting drinks, walks over to them holding soda cans .
"ash I brought sodas. hmm?" says serena looking at cilan
"well hello there" says cilan
"oh hi. so are you another of ash's friends?" says serena
"ah why yes am I. my name is cilan, pokemon connoiseur"
"oh oh. I'm serena, kalos queen"
"kalos queen huh? what a fine title. it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance" says cilan bowing slightly
"oh thank you, and the feeling's mutual" says serena smiling and nodding
"so then I take it you are ash's girlfriend?" asks cilan
"oh, yes that's right" says serena giggling and glancing at ash
"ah I see now, very nice. you two make the perfect couple. I'm happy for you both. I can tell, the aroma of love between you both is as strong as it can be!" says cilan
"oh, well that is true and thank you for the compliments. I'm flattered" says serena
"oh no problem" says cilan smiling
then serena glances over seeing burgundy standing there. burgundy looks back at her, the two stare at each other for a few seconds, then they recognize each other.
"hey, you're..!" they both say at the same time
"hmm?" says ash
"what is it? have you two met before?" says cilan looking at them both
"you're the one, the girl from in town. you bumped into me earlier" says serena
"oh so that was you huh? just so you know my shoulder still hurts cause of you running into me" says burgundy
"hey I said I was sorry, and plus you were kinda rude about it afterwards. you ran into me too" says serena
"well you should've said you're sorry. also don't blame me for that, you were the one running and not looking where you're going" says burgundy shrugging
"what?! you...!" says serena balling her fist
"wait serena, just calm down" says ash
"but she-!" says serena looking at ash
"burgundy..." says cilan in a serious tone
burgundy flinches hearing him and slowly looks at him.
"hm?" she says
"apologize to serena please" says cilan
"wha? but.. but cilan, she was-" says burgundy
"uh-uh no buts, apologize. you remember what I taught you about people skills don't you?" says cilan
she pauses for a second thinking then she sighs and lowers her head a bit.
"ok fine..." says burgundy
she then turns and steps forward to serena.
"um hey, uh serena?" she says
serena looks at burgundy a bit curious.
"well uh... I'm... I'm sorry for bumping into you earlier. I should have been paying attention too.."
"and?..." says cilan
"er, and I'm sorry for being rude about it too. I-I didn't mean it... hope you don't think bad of me. again, sorry" says burgundy bowing
serena looks at burgundy a bit shocked by her change in attitude.
"oh um, don't worry about it. it's no big deal haha. apology accepted, lets just be more careful when we walk" says serena smiling and giggling a bit
