Chapter 21
That evening janet had been at the hospital the whole afternoon and now that liberty had fallen asleep she had decided to leave for a while,so janet was on her way to the elevator when she ran into dusty;"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see how you were doing because I was worried about you after seeing how upset you were at metro today."answered dusty and was shocked to see the bruises around her nose;"What happened,janet,did jack do that?"
"No,molly did."replied she;"She attacked me and punched me against my nose."
"Why?"asked her friend surprised;"Why would she attack you like that?"
"Are you defending her?"began janet angry;"Are you saying that I must have done something to provoke that woman to make her hit me?"
"No,ofcourse not,janet,that's not what I'm saying."said he with a sigh;"I only asked you why she attacked you."
"You made it sound like I did something to make her do that!"answered his friend;"But why am I surprise since you used to sleep with her."
"Hold on,janet,there's no reason to act like that towards me and for the last time I only meant that I was curious as to why she attacked you."replied dusty;"The fact that I once had a thing with molly has got nothing to do with this!"
"Go to hell,dusty!"yelled she furious and stormed off;"You can all go to hell!"
Carly was cleaning up in the kitchen when jack,who had stayed there for dinner,came in and put his arms around her,pulling her up against his body;"Hey,lady."
"Jack…."sighed carly as she pushed him away;"The kids are in the livingroom!"
"So?"whispered he into her ear while he once again pulled her body up against his and kissed her neck;"It's your fault you know."
"And why is it my fault?"asked his ex-wife stuned,turning around towards him;"Well?"
"You look way too hot again so how can you expect me to be able to behave myself around you?"smiled jack,leaning closer towards carly and nearly pinning her up against the kitchensink,and leaned in for another kiss;"So it is your fault,carly."
"You could always take a cold shower."laughed she and pushed jack away again;"Out at the farm."
"Are you sending me away now?"said her ex-husband with a mischievous smile;"Really?"
"You can stay,jack,if you can behave yourself."smiled carly while she quickly walked away,out of the kitchen;"I will try to look less hot."
