This is the one hundred fifty-fifth chapter in Pokemon Heroes. We're nearing the final battle in this season. Enjoy!

(Opening Song)

"Crystal!"

The girl's sweaty head jerked left and right, and her teeth were pushed into each other.

"Don't hurt her!"

"Gold..."

The word escaped her mouth, and she groaned.

"Be careful! Crystal!"

"Gold, " she said, and her eyes jerked open.

She placed a tired hand on her forehead. She could see that she was within the forest within a pink sleeping bag. The sun was down, and the fire by her provided her heat as the cold winds brushed past her.

"What happened?" she thought.

She wore a yellow beanie, a white short jacket, and a red shirt underneath. She wore yellow bike shorts and white and red shoes. Her black hair fell from both sides of her face, and it went upward at the end.

This was Crystal, a girl from New Bark Town. She was on her journey and had been alongside a boy named Gold for a long time now.

She felt a presence near her, and she slowly turned to see who it was.

"Go-"

Her face was then covered in shock.

It was not Gold that sat behind her.

It was Drew, going through her bag, having a honey bun within his mouth with another unopened one in his hand.

He stared at her, and they sat in silence for a while. Drew slowly removed the honey bun in his mouth, chewed the piece that remained, swallowed, and then blinked a few times before he cleared his throat.

"Um...hey. So yeah...this happened. I can explain, I mean I can just buy you new ones. I got bored, found them, ate them, but not on purpose. I...um...thought they were mine."

Crystal didn't respond. Her shock remained.

"Yeah...so...you know what. Forget it. Forget it. I don't need it anymore."

He placed the unopened one back in her bag. He cleared his throat again.

"So...how ya doing?"

Still no response. Drew took the unopened bun, opened it, and proceeded to have another snack.

Shattered Memories

In some other part in the forest, within an open area as the risen sun lit up the area, a boy slept. He slowly opened his eyes, and he sat up slowly. He was sluggish. He noticed that his red jacket and hat were to the side, leaving him with his black t-shirt and yellow shorts. He moved his hand through his ruffled hair and yawned, and then he looked around.

His eye immediately set itself upon two other kids.

One was a boy with a red open jacket and a black t-shirt. He had on black jeans. His red hat was upon his black spiky hair that struck out.

The other was a girl who was physically smaller, but she was older than all of them. She simply wore a black shirt under a yellow dress. She wore a large hat to hide a blonde ponytail, so from a distance, she might appear to be a boy.

They seemed to be eating breakfast, and their attention turned to the boy that just woke up.

"Hey, Gold," said the boy eating breakfast. "You feeling alright? We found you with your head buried into the ground."

Gold looked to them, blinked a few times, and then looked around.

"Red? Yellow?" he said. "How did I get here?"

"Didn't I just tell you we found you with your head buried into the ground?"

"Why were you in that situation anyway?" asked Yellow. "By the way. Would you like some breakfast?"

"Where's Crystal?" asked Gold.

"Crystal?" said Red. "Oh yeah. I forgot you actually have a friend."

"We didn't find anyone with you," said Yellow. "You were alone."

"Alone?" said Gold. A few seconds of silence, and his eyes widened as he let out a shriek.

"You just lost all of your manhood in a matter of seconds," said Red.

"I lost her," said Gold, and he quickly stood up and frantically looked around. "I actually lost her! Oh Arceus! Her mom will kill me!"

"Of course YOU would lose someone," said Red.

"I don't have time to be fighting with you right now!"

"Where were you before?" asked Yellow.

Gold placed his hand on his head and thought.

"I don't remember the details that well, but I just remember entering some kind of ruins with her," said Gold. "We triggered something, we were attacked by something, and then an explosion. That's it."

"There are some ruins in the area," said Yellow. "It's empty. How did you trigger something?"

"I don't remember," said Gold as he started putting his clothes back on. "But somewhere along the way, I lost Crystal, and I need to find her and make sure she's okay."

Red and Yellow looked at each other, and then Yellow nodded with a smile. She looked back at Gold.

"We'll help," she said.

"Yeah, we'll help find her, but I'm just doing it to laugh as she bitches at you for losing her in the first place," said Red.

"I said I'll fight with you later," said Gold while glaring at Red after placing his hat on.

Ash looked out from the top of the large rock that sat on the edge of a rocky cliff. The view was grand, showing trees that stood on the ground below, and the mountains that rose far ahead.

He looked back at the others.

"Did you figure it out yet?" asked Ash.

"Still trying," said May, turning the map around over and over again.

"Just admit that we're lost," said Ash.

"We're not lost," said May. "We're...um...taking a shortcut."

"And this is what happens when we leave you with the map," said Ash.

"That's not fair! This map is confusing! There's this thing and that thing."

"That's a tree," said Brendan.

"A tree? That doesn't look like a tree to me. That looks like a hill. This illustrator must not know his landmarks."

"Then how about looking at the legend next time!" yelled Ash.

"What's a legend?"

"Guys, guys, chill," said Brendan, and he took the map away from May and handed it to Dawn. "We'll just turn back and find our way into the right path," said Brendan. "There is no reason to argue. Which way did we come from?"

Ash and May pointed in opposite directions. They looked at each other, and then lowered their heads.

"I guess we're lost then," said Brendan.

Dawn looked at the map, and then she turned to Brendan.

"This isn't even the right map."

Gary stood over Misty. Her bruises were healing up, but she was still unconscious.

It had already been two weeks since the incident, but she still wasn't conscious yet.

Gary's face had shown nothing. He simply just stared at her.

Sephiroth, walking past the room, quickly looked back in and saw Gary.

"Hey, boy," said Sephiroth as he proceeded to walk in. "How are you?"

Gary turned his head toward Sephiroth slowly.

"Has she woken up yet?"

"Nope," said Sephiroth, and now he stood over his niece. "The bolts of electricity you sent coursing through her whole body really dealt some damage. It's a surprise that she's not dead after taking that. Her body isn't built for it. I've been feeding her and providing her drinks. You won't have to worry about her."

"I'm not worried."

"Of course you're not," said Sephiroth. "What about you though? You've been training a lot lately. I haven't sent you on a mission in three days. You haven't complained once. Finally accepting a break?"

"Training helps me pass the time until you send me on a damn mission," said Gary.

"Well not anymore," said Sephiroth. "I've prepared a mission for you. Are you free?"

"Is that supposed to be a joke?"

"Yes. I guess you're just not a joyful person."

"Just tell me the details."

"Okay, okay," said Sephiroth. "This is a retrieval mission. It has nothing to do with me. It'll help you, and especially Misty."

Sephiroth could tell he got Gary's full attention now.

"The mission is within an unnamed forest. There are ruins hidden in it, and I wanted you to go and retrieve what was inside it."

"Wanted?"

"Yeah. You see, the ruins were already infiltrated," said Sephiroth. "These ruins have rock golems scattered throughout it, so obtaining the special item would be...troublesome. Two kids had entered it, but they were blown away within ten minutes. But-"

"But?"

"But they took the item," said Sephiroth. "Too bad, right? That was just pure luck, though. I'm actually surprised."

"What did they take?"

"A healing scroll," said Sephiroth. "The scroll has a spell that can heal someone of any injury or sickness within seconds. I may need that immediately."

"And how does that help Misty?"

Sephiroth nervously scratched his cheek with his finger.

"When I told you she was getting better, I meant her outside injuries," said Sephiroth. "Inside, she's not. Your power damaged her heart. The shock has now caused her heart to beat abnormally. If she's not treated immediately, she could wake up in a poor state. She won't be able to do the things she does before, and soon she might just die."

"Then bring her to a hospital," said Gary, putting an angry emphasis on hospital.

"They'll only get as far as I did," said Sephiroth. "She may be hooked up to a machine for a long time. They'll just drug her and perform surgery on her. Would you want that?"

Gary didn't respond.

"I guess you understand then," said Sephiroth. "I have tracked down the person who holds the scroll. They are still within the forest. Take it by force. Don't allow witnesses."

Gary sighed.

"Fine," he said.

"Good," said Sephiroth. "You will go within fifteen minutes. I'll send you to an area where they should walk by. Ambush them there. Understand?"

"Understood."

"Good," said Sephiroth.

Gary looked at Misty once more, and then walked off.

After he left, Sephiroth looked at Misty, revealed a smug smile, and then walked off.

"I say we go this way," said Brendan, pointing at the map that was spread out before Dawn, May, and he.

"No, we should go the opposite way," said Dawn. "That makes it a shortcut."

"It may be a shortcut, but it's not a good place to walk past. It would be wiser to go the other way."

"That'll take us another day, and I already don't like being here."

"How about we go through here then?" asked May.

"May...that's a lake," said Dawn.

"A lake?" asked May. "That definitely is a car."

"Why would a car be out here?" asked Brendan. "And that doesn't even send us the right way."

"We're going in that direction, right?"

"No, we're heading east."

"East? I thought you said weast."

Ash sat on the same rock, looking toward them and had his eyes closed. He just waited for them to come to a decision so they could be on their way quicker.

Pikachu slowly looked toward the sky.

"Pika!"

Ash was shocked back into reality, and he looked at his partner.

"What is it?"

"Pika Pi!"

Pikachu directed Ash's gaze toward the sky. Ash looked, and he saw a Pokemon clad in metal soaring across the sky at an amazing speed, but Ash's look slowed it down and watched it go by slowly.

It was a Skarmory, and Pikachu had recognized its scent.

"That's Gary's?" asked Ash. "Are you sure?"

Pikachu nodded.

"Alright!"

Ash quickly stood and looked toward Skarmory. May noticed him standing up and turned to him.

"What's wrong?"

"You guys stay here," said Ash. "I'll be back!"

He jumped off the cliff, and fell into the trees below them.

"What?" asked Brendan.

Drew walked with his hands in his pockets, and a face of someone beyond annoyed. He walked quietly along the rocky path that attached itself to the side of a high rocky area.

"She better not be..."

He slowly turned around, and he saw Crystal behind him with a disgusted looked on her face.

She had been following him.

"You know, if you don't want to be near me, you can just leave."

Crystal didn't respond. She just stared at him with the same look of disgust.

"Um...I said you can just leave," said Drew. "Are you alright?"

He slowly walked toward her, but she jumped up and moved back as fast as she could.

"St-Stay away from me you psychopathic maniac!" she yelled.

Drew turned around, and the same look of annoyance reappeared on his face.

"What the hell is wrong with you anyway?!" she asked. "I've only been with you for two hours and already I've seen you fall off a cliff, get attacked by a bunch of Ariados, and then get dragged into a fight with Primeapes! How are you still alive?"

Drew started thinking.

"Luck, I guess."

"Luck?! Don't screw with me!"

She then cowered into a corner on her knees while having her hands clasped together.

"Where are you, idiot? Why'd you have to leave me with this guy? You better not be having one hell of a good time while I stay here in fear!"

"Then leave," said Drew.

"I can't! I don't know where I am!"

"Oh Arceus," said Drew. "Look, how about I help you find this person so you can get off my ba-I mean, so you can feel safer."

"You'd do that?" asked Crystal, and it seemed like she had calmed down.

"Why not," said Drew. "Tell me his name."

"It's Gold."

"Gold?" asked Drew, and the wrinkles on his forehead was showing how deep in thought he was.

"You know, Gold?!" exclaimed Crystal, coming closer, and with each step a smile grew bigger on her face.

"Gold..."

Then joy emanated from his body.

"Money."

"I'll find him myself!" yelled Crystal, and she stormed off.

"Okay then," said Drew, closing his eyes and turning around and walking the other way. "Have fun in the wild, bitch."

He took a few steps before opening his eyes immediately, turning around, running to Crystal and tackling her to the ground.

Seconds later, a powerful thunderbolt crashed down onto the spot Crystal was previously standing at.

The thunderbolt's crashing to the ground caused the ground to shake violently. Red, Gold, and Yellow fell forward until the earthquake beneath them ended.

When it did, Yellow rose up quickly, quickly climbed up a tree, and looked out.

"What the hell was that?" asked Red.

"An attack of some sort," said Yellow. "It's in an area with Pokemon. They might've be hurt. We should get over there and check. Let's go!"

She jumped off the tree and started running away.

"I'm right behind ya!" yelled Red, and he rose and followed.

"Hey, what about Crystal?" asked Gold.

"We'll find her, but now we have to take care of the problem in front of us!" yelled Yellow without turning back. Red turned back to Gold and motioned for him to come.

Gold looked at the path behind him, and then looked back at Red and nodded.

"Fine!"

He rose up and ran after them.

Ash saw the smoke that rose from that area the large thunderbolt struck.

He stared at it, frozen on top the large tree he was standing on.

Pikachu, on his shoulder, slowly looked toward Ash.

"Pika?"

Ash was pushed back into reality, and he slowly looked at Pikachu.

"It is Gary. It definitely is."

"Pika Pi?"

"You know what I'm gonna do," said Ash, and then his fist crashed against his palm. "I'm gonna go over there and knock some sense into that idiot."

He then jumped off the tree, and headed for his destination.

The smoke covered the area.

Drew held his arm up to his nose to prevent himself from breathing it in. He reached for his Pokeballs on his belt.

He tossed two, and out came Absol and Flygon.

"Flygon, remove the smoke!" ordered Drew. With a screech, Flygon started to furiously flap its wings, and the winds pushed away the smoke from them easily.

"What just happened?" asked Crystal while she tried getting back up. " Is it your fault?"

"And there you go pushing the blame to me," said Drew. He kept his eyes focused, looking around for the suspect that caused this.

And then his eyes finally settled upon someone above them on a rocky ledge on the side of a high rocky landform.

Drew's glare suddenly turned into a goofy smile.

"Gary!" he called out.

True enough, Gary Oak was on that ledge, looking down at them. He didn't even acknowledge Drew's existence.

"Why are you ignoring me G-Dog?" asked Drew. "I'm right here! I am the one speaking to you right now!"

"Why are you socializing with the guy who just attacked us?" asked Crystal. "Are you not aware of that?!"

"Oh yeah, he did try to attack us," said Drew, and he placed a finger on his chin. He then turned back to Crystal and shrugged.

"Must've gotten in the way of target practice."

"Target practice?!" asked Crystal. "What level of dumb are you?!"

"Level 3, but I'm slowly working my way up to level 4."

Gary jumped off the ledge and landed in front of Drew. Drew looked at him and spread out his arms.

"And he came down for a hug. How nice."

Gary removed his sword from the sheath. His foot pushed itself against the ground, and then he propelled himself forward.

Drew opened his arms wider and smiled, but he wasn't going to receive his hug.

He noticed Gary was heading farther to the right, where Crystal, who watched him come closer and closer with wide eyes, was.

"Huh?"

Gary prepared his sword to strike, but suddenly, Drew moved more to the right so he stood in the way of Gary. Gary thought fast, and he directed his foot to Drew's side.

Drew was launched toward the side of the large rocky landform. His face crashed onto it first, and then he fell to the ground.

"Um, Gary, you're supposed to hug me with your arms," he said.

"He was your friend!" yelled Crystal. She was silenced after the tip of Gary's blade was brought inches from her face.

"Hand over the scroll," ordered Gary.

"Scroll?"

"Hand it over now! I don't have time!"

"I-I don't have a-"

Gary rose his sword, but his wrist was grabbed by Drew. He turned to the boy, and they stared at each other.

"Be careful where you're swinging that," said Drew. "You could cut someone."

Gary forcefully pulled his hand away, and then elbowed the boy on the face. Drew fell to the ground while holding onto his face.

"Were you not at some ruins in this area?!" asked Gary.

"I...I don't really remember what I did last night," said Crystal.

"Don't play dumb with me."

"Here," said Crystal, and she slowly took out her bag and rummaged through it. "I'll show you I don't have it. Just calm down and-"

She pulled out the scroll, the rolled up scroll with wooden sides and indestructible soft paper. She stared at it for a while, and slowly looked at Gary.

"This?"

Gary swung his sword downward at her, but she quickly moved out of the way. She rolled across the ground, and then she reached for her Pokeballs as she came to a quick stop.

"What's your problem?" she asked while standing up. "If you want this scroll so badly, it must not be for a good reason. You realize I can't just let you have it now."

Gary turned to her and used his power to dash toward her at lightning speed. She didn't have time to throw the Pokeball, Gary had already delivered a kick to her gut.

She was sent into the air, but she didn't land on the ground.

Drew's Flygon dashed through the air and caught her in midair. It soared up into the sky with Crystal on its back.

Gary looked up at it, and he prepared to strike.

"Listen, buddy," said Drew while still rubbing onto his face, and Gary's attention was now directed to him. "I don't know if you're on your man period or something, but you're not being you right now."

Drew's hands were removed from his face, and a smile was still present.

"So how about you put that sword down for a bit and we can just talk this out."

Gary didn't have time for a conversation.

He suddenly appeared in front of Drew and he swung the sword downward toward Drew's head, but the boy's reflexes moved him back. Gary swung upward immediately, but Drew had moved back once again. Gary swung his sword sideways, but Drew bent his back far enough so he could place his hands on the ground, though this action caused a cracking sound to come from his back, and Drew squealed.

With him like this, Gary could get a clean cut with his sword, but suddenly Drew's Absol jumped over its trainer and attacked Gary with Razor Wind, sending blades of wind at him, but Gary jumped back, avoiding them.

He took out a Pokeball quickly and released Electivire, who used Thunderpunch on Absol while in midair after being released.

Absol was pushed back on the ground. It created a Shadow Ball and launched it at Electivire, but the large Pokemon easily knocked it aside. It crashed its fist into the ground and used Shockwave, sending jolts of electricity at Absol.

It jumped into the air and used Psycho Cut with its horn to strike Electivire, but Electivire used Thunderbolt to strike Absol in midair.

Crystal watched from the sky with Flygon rubbing her stomach, the place Gary struck.

"Let me down there!" she yelled. "He's after me! I'll fight him!"

Flygon shook its head, but then it sensed something and quickly moved out of the way before Skarmory struck it with Steel Wing, dashing right past.

"What the heck?!" exclaimed Crystal.

Flygon used Dragonbreath, but Skarmory dodged that and tried striking Flygon again. Flygon proceeded to dodge and fly away, but Skarmory was too fast, and there were many close calls.

Drew looked up after fixing his back and saw the new opponent.

"That's yours?!" asked Drew to Gary. "What's so special about that scroll anyway?!"

His talking had distracted him, for Gary drove a lightning powered fist into his gut, sending him toward the rocky landform. He crashed onto it, and then fell to the ground while rubbing his stomach and head with a pained expression.

"That's not fair!" he yelled. "If we're gonna do this, we're gonna do this on equal terms! Just so you know, I am beast on Fruit Greninja!"

Gary came after him again, and swung his sword at Drew's head, but the boy quickly ducked farther, and then pushed himself forward to get behind Gary.

He grabbed another Pokeball and threw it, releasing Roselia.

"Roselia, use Razor Leaf on Skarmory!"

Roselia looked toward the sky and shot the sharp leaves at Skarmory. Unfortunately, it had no effect at all. It merely hit Skarmory and produced a "clanking" sound before falling back to the ground.

But hurting it wasn't the goal.

Skarmory looked back at its own opponent, and then it was struck by Flygon's Hyper Beam.

Gary looked up at Skarmory, thus giving Drew an opening as well.

He ran at Gary and grabbed the boy's arm that held his sword.

"Gotcha!" said Drew. Gary simply looked at him, and then a surge of electricity escaped his body, shocking his surroundings and Drew. The boy fell to the ground, and he twitched as the jolts flowed throughout his body.

"You son of a dick!" said Drew as he slowly looked at Gary. "You won this round!"

Gary walked toward Drew.

Drew got to one knee. He looked at Gary.

"Play fairly next time, dammit! Where's the fun in it if you do that, right Gary?"

He then looked into Gary's eyes, and he froze.

"Gary?"

The boy launched himself at Drew, and the green haired boy just stood where he was, watching his former friend get closer.

The blade would've separated Drew's upper body from his lower body, but it didn't make contact with him.

The person who got struck was Gary, and the deliverer of the strike was a Breloom that got in-between the two. It had used Sky Uppercut, and its fist had struck underneath Gary's chin.

With a roar, Breloom pushed its fist higher, launching Gary high up into the air.

Absol was on the ground, and Electivire was over it, prepared to throw the finishing blow, but it was prevented from doing that as vine whips wrapped themselves around it and tossed it aside.

The Skarmory was prepared for a strike as well, but it didn't make it, because it was struck with a Double-Edge by a Togekiss that dashed right past it. The sudden strike made it lose focus, and it was sent toward the ground, but it stopped in midair and dashed up to the Gary in the sky and caught him.

Gary looked down at the interrupters.

"Crystal!" yelled Gold. His Togekiss flew down next to him. Red was by him with Venusaur. Yellow was by Drew with her Breloom.

They were all just staring at Gary. Gary looked around at all of them.

Now, he could either retrieve the scroll now and not waste his time on them, or he could retrieve the scroll and wreck them all anyway.

And he could.

But he decided against it, and looked toward Crystal.

At lightning speed, he appeared behind her in midair, and his sword cut open her bag.

"Hey!" she yelled.

His power then made him easily retrieve the scroll, and Skarmory caught him in the air.

"Let's go!" he yelled, and Electivire heard. It forcefully pushed Venasaur to the side, and he ran into the forest after its trainer who flew away on Skarmory.

They all just watched him go. Drew's eyes were stuck on him.

"Gary?" he said.

"GARY!"

Ash yelled as he jumped into the area and ran in Gary's direction. His foot hit a pebble, and he rolled into some bushes.

Gary heard the voice and looked back, but after not spotting Ash, he looked forward, and then he was gone.

Gold was on his knees, and Crystal stood over him with her arms crossed. Red and Yellow sat near them, and Red was eating popcorn that he obtained somehow.

"I'm sorry," said Gold. "It was my fault. I made us enter those ruins because I thought it was a shortcut. I screwed up after taking the scroll and we were attacked. I placed it in your bag because I thought you wouldn't lose it so easily. I just thought if I sold it, I'd get big bucks."

"You screwed up, asshole!" yelled Red, and he started to laugh uncontrollably. Yellow karate chopped his head to quiet him down.

Gold looked up at Crystal.

"Will you please forgive me?"

Crystal stared at Gold, and then she sighed. A smile formed on her face.

"Oh Gold-"

Now, she was smacking him with a paper fan that was one of the contents littered on the ground from her bag as he screamed like a baby.

"Do you realize what you did?!" yelled Crystal. "I almost died! My bag is now destroyed! You're holding all of my stuff now! What makes it worse is that you left me with a psychopath that almost got me killed multiple times!"

"It makes sense," said Red. "It is Ash's friend."

"Is that how you think of all his friends?" asked Yellow.

"Actually, I never got to thank him yet," said Crystal, looking around.

"He's talking to Ash right now," said Gold. "I think they're just catching up with each other."

To the side, Ash and Drew were speaking to each other in private.

Ash had filled Drew in on the things Gary had been doing, and what he will continue to do in the future. Drew listened to every word, and at the end, he lowered his head.

"So that's what Gar-Bear's been doing this whole time," said Drew. "I knew something was different as soon as I saw his eyes."

"I knew when I saw the eyes, too," said Ash. "I just didn't want to believe it. Something like that happening again is something I want to avoid."

"Again?"

"Nothing," said Ash as he lowered his eyes. "It's nothing."

There was silence now, and Ash could see that Drew was just continuously thinking.

"Don't worry, though," said Ash. "I will take care of Gary. He's doing something that involves me, so I will end this."

Drew sighed, and then smiled after looking at Ash.

"I know," he said. "This is just another Ash and Gary fight, isn't it? I'll just let you two work it out somehow. Arguments bring people closer together, so after all this, you two might get along better, right?"

"Uh..."

"We'll all go back to the good old times," said Drew. "We just have to be patient, right?"

Ash stared at him, and then scratched his head as he kept it lowered.

"Um...whatever. Fine. Yeah."

Drew chuckled.

"Hey, Ash, where are the others?" asked Red.

"They're-"

Then his face was filled with regret.

"They're in the forest," said Ash. "I was so caught up in finding Gary that I left them. They might be lost, starving, confused, and I just left them. Oh Arceus, what kind of friend am I? What-"

"Hey, Ash," said May.

Ash turned around and saw May, Brendan, and Dawn coming toward them.

"We found the right map," said Dawn.

There was silence.

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! What's everybody doing here? Did we miss a party or something?" asked Brendan.

"I've got it."

Gary tossed the scroll toward Sephiroth's hand. He took it and stared at the wooden sides.

"Good job, Gary. You know how to impress."

Gary turned around to get out of the room.

"You know what to do with it," said Gary.

Sephiroth continued looking at the scroll, but then a snicker escaped his mouth.

"Sorry about that," he said.

Gary stopped, but he didn't turn.

"This scroll is useless. It has been ineffective for years now. It's just a scroll with ancient words on it. Nothing special."

"What?!" yelled Gary, and now he turned and glared at Sephiroth.

"Yup, just junk now," said Sephiroth, and he tossed the thing over his shoulder. It hit the wall and fell to the ground.

"Then what was the point of sending me on that mission?!" asked Gary.

"I'll just say it," said Sephiroth. "I had planned to let you finally settle the score with the Aura Guardian. I know I told you that capturing the Princess was priority, but he was getting in the way for far too long, so why not dispose of the problem now?"

"But I didn't see him on the mission at all!"

"That's the issue," said Sephiroth. "I had calculated everything, from everyone's positions to where they will be, and I was unsuccessful. It seemed that a certain boy had delayed the arrival to the spot you were stationed at. You were there for hours, weren't you? But I also calculated an early time or a late time, but it seemed a small pebble had screwed it up as well. It was just coincidence you two didn't see each other."

"So that was Ash," said Gary, remembering that he heard Ash saying his name as he left. "What about Misty? Was everything you told me a lie, too?"

"Nope," said Sephiroth. "I was serious about everything. I was lying though about not doing anything about it. I already cured her. She's doing fine. She's just making a slow recovery."

Gary found himself letting out a small sigh of relief.

Sephiroth's cheerful personality suddenly disappeared, and now he stared at Gary with serious, fierce eyes.

"But I need to deal with that boy as soon as possible," said Sephiroth. "That brings your fight with him closer. Once he's down, we both get what we want, right?"

Gary simply nodded.

"In order to become stronger," said Sephiroth. "you have to destroy those who are stronger than you. Remember, that boy is way stronger than you."

"He won't be for long," said Gary.

"So, are you ready?" asked Sephiroth.

Gary nodded.

In the room near the room Gary and Sephiroth talked in, Misty finally awoke from her slumber.

Her eyes were wide.

"Ash...is stronger than Gary?"

(Ending Song)

Next Time on Pokemon Heroes: The son of the Guardian of the Sea returns, and now he finally sets his final plan in motion. In order to protect May, Ash will finally settle with score with this boy, along with a little help from a Knight from the League of Knights. What is Sora planning, and who is this Knight that has a past with this boy? Next Time: A Longed For Power.

That was that chapter. This season will be ending by the beginning of March, and I am already prepared to reveal what's in store for the next season (it is an important one). I reminded you on the statement that Sephiroth says when he says that Ash is "stronger" than Gary. Every fight they've been in, it shows Gary getting the upper hand most of the time, and sometimes Ash gets demolished by Gary, so how is it possible, but the answer will be revealed soon. Just you wait. See you next chapter!

Read and Review please :-)
