Chapter21

-Meanwhile with the princes and princesses-

"Hi there." Leaf from behind them.

"Oh my Mew... Leaf you really look like mother." Dawn said.

"Wow..." May and Misty said in unison.

"Hey Gary aren't you going to say something to your future wife." Hugh nudged.

"Uhh... Leaf-" Gary's words were cut-off.

"Princess Leaf you look lovely today." Red said and went in front of Leaf, grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"Hehe... Thank you Prince Red." She giggled.

"I heard that the coronation is today." He said.

"Yes, sadly it is. It's a must because the townsfolk are in need of a new ruler." She replied.

"I see..."

"Oi oi Gary, You're losing her." Drew whispered.

"Shut up." Gray grunted back.

"Did you say something Gary?" Rosa asked.

"Uhh... It's nothing Rosa. Leaf you l-look..."

"Look what?" She said.

"Beautiful..." He said while trying to hide his blush from them.

"Hehe... Gary's blushing." Ash teased.

"Shut up Ash!" He glared at Ash.

"Well, he can't help it. Leaf really is beautiful." Misty said.

Leaf is wearing a light green and dirty white colored ball gown(A/N: I'll just leave at the end of the chapter the link for the full details of Leaf's gown) Then all of her is on her right side and in curls, for the accessories she's wearing a pear-shaped pendant that her mother gave her when she was 14 year old and she's only wearing light makeup.

"Misty is it with you?"

"I already told mother and father's royal adviser to get since mother and father told him about it because he is the most trusted person they will entrust that secret." She replied.

"Okay, please get it when he comes here. You know how important it is." Leaf said

"Yes. It is the most priced possession of our kingdom." Misty replied and went to look for their adviser.

"What's with this crown you speak of?" Drew asked.

"This crown has been passed from generations to generations, a lot of bandits are trying to steal this crown for it's jewel is very rare and it can make a person rich like us. Our great grandmother thought of hiding it, so that it would lessen the people knowing about this crown." Leaf said.

"So when the people see the new crown they'll think that it was brand new because of a new ruler?" Paul asked.

"Yes, and I believe that not most of the people around the town or outside the region has already forgotten about this." Leaf replied."

"I see." Drew said.

"Princess Leaf can we talk again? Alone." Red said and he reached out his right hand waiting for Leaf's hand.

"Yes you-" She was cut-off when a hand grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the room.

"I think the plan worked." Dawn said.

"What plan?" Ash asked

"Red is planning on making Gary a little more jealous and then there you have it." May replied.

"Ohh I see. Where's Rosa?" Ash replied

"Now that you mention it, where is she?" Misty said.

"Here I am." Rosa said as she entered the room.

"Where have you been? Where's Curtis? Dawn asked.

"Oh about Curtis..." She said.

-After 5 minutes-

"He what?!" Everyone exclaimed.

"He wants me to be his queen." She replied and sighed.

"Then what did you say?" May asked.

"Well, I told him that I don't like him that way." Rosa replied and this made Hugh sighed in relief.

"Well someone is a little relieved about the news." Drew teased.

"Shut up grass head." Hugh grunted.

"Haha! He called you grass head! High five Hugh!" May exclaimed and they high five each other.

"Tsk."

"Did you say something else?"Misty asked.

"Huh? Why did you asked that?"

"I think Curtis won't accept a simple 'I don't like you that way' that easily without any explanation." Misty said.

"Uhh..."

"Come on Rosa. Spill it already!" Dawn said excitedly.

"I don't think that would be the perfect time to say it." Rosa replied.

"Why?"

"The coronation is about to start in less than 10 minutes. Gary and Leaf aren't around yet. We have to look for them." She said.

"Oh yeah I forgot about them. I was just so caught up with Rosa's rejection." Dawn said.

"Me too." May said also.

"Come on let's go find those two." Paul said.

"Okay." Everyone said except Red who just nodded.

-Meanwhile with Gary and Leaf-

"Hey..." Leaf said hoping that Gary would let go of her.

"..."

"Gary, would you please let go of me? Where are we going?" She asked.

"Somewhere..."

"Where?" Leaf insisted.

"Just somewhere okay?!" He exclaimed making Leaf flinch.

"Okay..." She replied in a low voice and looks down, Gary glanced a little behind and saw what he did to Leaf.

'You're so stupid Prince Gary. Way the go to make your princess happy! Now she's sad and I have to do a lot of explaining now. It's because of that Red who is flirting with her and she just goes with the flow. Does she even think what I feel?! Huh? Where did that came from? I can't believe that I really like Leaf this much, why can't I stop being like this so I wouldn't hurt Leaf like right now?' He thought and then he stopped from his tracks making Leaf bump on his back.

"You could at least told me to stop." She mumbled.

"Sorry..." He said still not releasing his grip from Leaf's wrist.

"Huh?"

"I'm sorry for acting like this. I don't like this feeling that I'm feeling right now it makes me weird and do weird things to you like this, I could even hurt you. I don't what kind of feeling is this but what I'm trying to say Leaf is that I don't like you near other guys, I don't like-" He was cut off when Leaf put a hand on his shoulder.

"Are you jealous because Red and I very close when we talk to each other?" She asked.

"I-I'm not jealous!" He exclaimed with a little blush on his face.

"Well, the feeling that you hate is jealousy-"

"I told you I'm not jealous! D-Don't assume that I-I'm jealous..." He said trying to hide his face.

"Hehe... You kept on denying it Gary but your face shows a different answer." She pointed

"Shut up already Leaf." Gary said and hugged Leaf which surprised her.

"I got jealous, okay? You don't have to rub it on my face." He muttered.

"Why would you be jealous? You don't even like me." She replied.

"Leaf, I won't be jealous if I don't like you." He sighed.

"I like you Leaf." He said and hugged her even tighter.

"Gary..." She said and hugged him back.

"Well, isn't this a lovely scene. Don't you think so?" Red said to the others.

"Red!" They both exclaimed.

"Finally! Gary admits it!" Hugh exclaimed.

"I think another one down." Drew said.

"Really? Whose the first one?

"Paul."

"Hey!"

"Are you going to deny Paul?" Drew teased.

"Hey! She's engage to me, so she can't see another man other than myself. It's not like I care for her or anything." He replied while looking away.

"Hahaha! Paul's embarrassed!" Ash laughed hysterically while the other's join as well.

"Shut up Ketchum!" He shouted.

"So, May how about you?" Rosa asked.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" She asked.

"I think Ash's denseness has rubbed on you now May." Dawn said.

"No Dawn, I think May is always like that." Rosa replied.

"What are you talking about?" May asked.

"When will you admit that you actually like Drew?" Dawn asked.

"W-Why would I like a prince who's attitude so rude and arrogant?" She replied as she looked away from their stares.

"Hey, watch your words airhead!" He argued.

"What are you denying the fact when it's true?" She retorted back.

"Oh well, here they go again." Misty sighed.

"They're always like that, get used to it Misty." Dawn said.

"Congratulations to you Leaf and Gary." Rosa congratulated the two new rulers.

"Thank you Rosa." Leaf said.

"Hey guys, aren't we forgetting about something?" Hugh asked.

"Oh yeah, the coronation ceremony!" Leaf exclaimed.

"Then, shall we go now?" Gary asked and he offered an arm to Leaf.

"Yes, thank you." Leaf said as she accepted Gary's arm and walk with him side by side.

-At the Throne Room-

"Do you, Leaf, Princess of the Johto region, will take the throne and the responsibility that has bestowed upon you and let these people live in peace and harmony?" The minister said.

"I do." She replied.

"Then you Gary Oak, Prince of the Kanto region, are you willing to protect and guide the people into a brighter path just like before and to rule this region?"

"I am willing to do so." He replied with conviction.

"On my behalf, I now present you the new King of the Johto region." The minister said as he put the crown and robe on Gary.

"And Queen of the Johto region." He said and went to Leaf and put on the robe and when he was about to put on the crown, suddenly a metal claw grabbed the crown and it was being pulled away from them causing a commotion at the throne room.

"The crown has been stolen!" Someone from the crowd shouted.

"Leaf!" Misty exclaimed.

"Hehe... I finally have it! The crown jewel of Johto!" A voice of a man exclaimed as he held the crown upward.

"Who are you?! Reveal yourself!" Gary shouted.

A cloaked figure came down the chandelier and there he stood in front of Rosa,

"Long time no see, Rosa." The cloaked figure smirked.

"Huh?" She said and then she was grabbed and thrown over the shoulders of the cloaked figure.

"Rosa!" Everyone shouted then the cloaked figured ran away from the entrance.

"Rosa! Give her back you bastard!" Hugh shouted and he ran after the two.

"Hugh!" She shouted and reached out her right hand.

"Rosa!" Hugh shouted back and tried to reach for her hand but it didn't for Curtis released his flying pokemon, Pidgeot and they flew away.

"No!" He shouted and fell onto his knees.

"Go Swellow! Follow that Pidgeot and make sure that you're hidden." Ash exclaimed as he released his pokemon.

"Hugh..." Dawn said.

"Don't worry. We'll save Rosa for sure." Gary said.

"I already have Swellow following them." Ash replied.

"Thank you Ash..." Hugh replied still not looking up.

"Why would that cloaked man steal the crown and kidnap Rosa?" Misty asked.

"Hmm..." Dawn put her right hand under her chin.

"We will get that person Hugh." Gary said.

"But how? I mean we only got Ash's Swellow to follow it. What if it gets seen?" Leaf said worriedly.

"Don't worry Leaf, I always practice Swellow sneaking and following without getting notice since it was a Taillow." Ash replied with confidence.

"Okay, I'll follow them first." Hugh said.

"Bring Paul with you so that you can have a back up. We'll follow you from behind." Ash suggested.

"Sure. Let's go." Hugh said and Paul just nodded.

"I'll follow behind as well." Gary said.

"Thanks Gary." Hugh said and they both brought out their pokemon which are Honchkrow and Samurott.

"Find Swellow and he will guide you to where is Rosa." Ash said.

"I want to join as well." Misty said as she brought her pokeball out but Leaf held her hand and said,

"No, stay here and comfort Dawn."

"Hmm... Fine..." Misty replied.

"Let's go." Hugh said and rode with his Samurott and went away.

"I'll watch over him." Paul said and raised his right hand for Honchkrow to grabbed it.

"Please be careful." Dawn said.

"I will." He replied and flew off.

-Meanwhile with Rosa-

"Let go of me please!" She shouted.

"Hmm..."

"Who are you any way?" She asked.

"Someone you know." He replied.

"There are many people that I know. Please be more specific."

"Hmph. You'll know later." Then he told his Pidgeot to land at a platform on a tower, surround by gold and brown trees.

"What is this place? And please put me down!" She exclaimed.

"If I do that then you would run away again." He replied and walked in front of a Ho-oh statue and put her down there.

"I see that you have captured your princess." A voice from behind said.

"Let's start the ceremony." Another one said.

"Hey! You monk start with the ceremony!" The man said.

"Y-Yes, sir Curtis." The monk said nervously.

"Ceremony? Curtis?!" Rosa exclaimed.

"Hmph. Finally you know who am I." He said and removed his hood and smirked at Rosa.

"You're the worst!" She shouted.

"Now, on with the ceremony."

"Y-Yes, sir." The monk replied.
