Gibbs team managed to kill off the last of the Lost Ones after hours and hours of running and shooting. "Well, that was a lot harder than I expected." Tony said while catching his breath, "No one said it was going to be easy." Gibbs said, wiping some of the blood off his face.

"But I expected there to be more of them." Ziva said.

"Yeah, I thought there was supposed to be an army of them." McGee had added.

"Maybe she didn't have time to make them after what Andrew did to them." Tony said.

"Maybe…" Gibbs before pausing. It wasn't long until he realized something. "Unless, she wanted to keep us busy!" Gibbs exclaimed, "Keep us busy?" Tony said, "You mean she did this on purpose?!"

"McGee, Tony! See if you can Lestrade on the phone! And the ambulance too!" He told them.

"Right boss!" They both said while trying to find the best place to get a signal.

"Ziva, with me now!" Gibbs yelled.

"Got it!" Ziva replied. With that they went back inside the asylum, not realizing that there was smoke escaping from the windows.


-Meanwhile-

Envy and Korra ran right into the lobby.

They both caught their breath after they gave Toto and Minatsuki the slip. "Damn Envy, you really need to stop setting things on fire." Korra said, "Hey! I had to alight!" Envy yelled, "Would you rather we both end up as swiss cheese!?"

"No, but we could've come up with a better plan than that!" She yelled back, "For all we know Sherlock and Shadow could still be in here! Didn't you think of that!?" "I did!" Envy said, "Which is why we have to find them before this building collapses on itself!"

"What are you two arguing about now?"

Korra and Envy both turned to see Gibbs and Ziva. "Hey you two!" Envy said, "Perfect timing!"

"Why?" Ziva asked, "Well we only have a few minutes to get out of here." Korra said, surprisingly calm."

Gibbs turned to Envy and just gave a look to him. "You used the fire plan, didn't you?" Gibbs asked, "I didn't have a choice okay!" Envy shouted, "Anyway we have to hurry and find Sherlock and Shadow! Hopefully they already got to Sakura already!" "Our thoughts exactly." Gibbs said, "Let's move!"

They quickly exited the lobby.


-At that Moment-

Shadow and Medusa clashed their swords together, while Sherlock fired from his gun whenever he got the chance. However all Medusa kept on doing was, dodging all the bullets that he had fired. Shadow flew back when Medusa used her vector plate trick.

Medusa laughed, "YOU REALLY GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO DEFEAT ME!?" She charged at Shadow with the same technique, but he managed to block it.

"I THINK I CAN MANAGE!" Shadow yelled, kicking her in the stomach despite his injuries. With his other hand he materialized a fire spare, strong enough to pierce her and stable enough to not set fire to the room.

He threw it at Medusa, but she managed to dodge it. That didn't stop him though, he continued to materialize more of the spears and throw it right at the snake witch. This time with one of the spears, she caught it and threw it right back at Shadow.

Shadow dogged his own attack and threw more spears at her, but she continued to dodge.

"ALRIGHT THAN!" Shadow said, "TRY THIS!"

Shadow than managed to materialize a large sphere, and he threw it at Medusa.

Medusa quickly dodged the attack, "VECTOR ARROW, X2!" Arrows appeared behind her and went straight for Shadow. Luckily he managed to dodge it, but was literally blown off his feet by the blast.

Shadow managed to get back up on his feet and grab his sword. He once again charged at Medusa. As Sherlock continued to fire, he saw that all Medusa did was dodge or slice the bullets. "Damn! This is getting us nowhere!" Sherlock thought, "There has to be something else we could do to beat her, but what?" The detective quickly examined the room, but saw there was only one option that he could use.

"I don't have a choice."

He changed his angle, reloaded the gun and prepared to fire.

"SHERLOCK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Shadow shouted.

"GET READY TO DUCK!" Sherlock shouted back. With that, he pulled the trigger and the bullet ricochet off the walls. Sherlock shielded Sakura in case the bullet went towards her, while Shadow took cover. Medusa tried to keep track of the bullet so that she could cut it.

"Where the hell is-"

Before Medusa could finish, the bullet pierced her head and black blood splattered right on the floor. She fell flat on her back and soon enough a polluted water puddle formed underneath her. Shadow got up off the floor and went over to Medusa. "She's dead…" Shadow had stated.

"It had to be done Shadow." Sherlock said, "She would've tried to hurt you and Sakura if I were to leave her alive. You would've done the same thing, if you were me." Soon they heard Sakura cry out in pain; They Sakura thrashing in her sleep.

"Sakura!" They both shouted, they ran over to her and checked her condition. "Oh no! The chip!" Shadow cried out, "We're running out of time!" "Damn! We have to get her out of here now!" Sherlock yelled out.

While they were about to leave, the detective didn't notice that Medusa was standing behind him, about to make a grab for him.

"SHERLOCK, WATCH OUT!"

Shadow pushed Sherlock out of the way and she grabbed a hold of him instead.

"SHADOW!"

The young hedgehog was gasping for air when she grabbed a hold of his neck. She ripped off his scarf and brought him closer to her.

"What are you do-GAH!"

He cried out when he felt her teeth sink into his neck, like a vampire that was drinking from it's victim.

"NOOOOO!" Sherlock cried out.

As he fell into a drug-like state, Medusa retracted and licked her lips. "That went a lot better than I previously expected."

Sherlock turned to her, "How the bloody hell did you manage to survive a gunshot!?" He said, "It's impossible!" Medusa let out a chuckle and wiped some of Shadow's blood off her face, "Nothing is ever impossible if you think about." She said, "You really shouldn't believe that there is such a thing as superstition." Sherlock grabbed the gun and prepared to fire, that was until she started to squeeze Shadows neck.

"You know something…" Medusa said, still squeezing his neck, "Whenever people look at a person like this, they assume many things. They assume he's a demon, a monster, even an alien. If they assume that, they'll think he can die differently." She squeezed his neck even harder and Shadow tried to his best to gasp for air. "However, that is not the case." Medusa said with a smile, "Want a demonstration?"

"Put… Him… Down." Sherlock said still pointing the gun at her, "Or I will-"

"You'll what?" Medusa said, interrupting him, "You'll kill me? And just prove to Donovan and Anderson that you're just another murderer?"

Sherlock just froze at that question. Medusa snickered, "It hurts, doesn't it?" She asked, "To be different from others? To feel left out? To have something that no one else could understand?"

Sherlock tried to say something to deny it, but he couldn't find the words to say it. He instead allowed her to continue.

"I hear you say you hate people who are normal. And the reason is because you think they're… Stupid. No I don't think that's the case. You don't hate them. You envy them."

The detective lowered his gun and looked down at his feet. Medusa chuckled and walked towards him still holding onto the young hedgehog. She started to circle around the detective.

"You want to be one of them don't you? You want to be the everyday businessman. You want to do the same damn thing everyday that the businessman does. Even if it is boring, you just want to do the same thing every single day until your time has come. You want to understand the meaning of happiness, how it feels to be sad, and how it feels to be loved. Why do you want all of this, I ask you. Is it because it's for fun? Or is it because you want to be human?"

Sherlock didn't make any eye contact with her. All he did was clench his hand and bite his lower lip. She smiled and continued.

"That's what you want isn't it? To be human? To be normal like them? To be as stupid as them? If you ask me it's just so-"

"You're… Wrong…"

Medusa and Sherlock turned to Shadow, both shocked that he was still able to speak. "What did you say?" Medusa said, a bit anger that he interrupted her, "I said… You're wrong… About him…" He replied. "What the hell do you know?" She said, "As I said before you've only known him for a short time, how do you know I'm wrong?"

Shadow then started to explain, despite the witch still holding on to his neck.

"The reason why… I know you're wrong… Is the fact…. Your skull is just as thick… As the rest of the people… I encountered… True, I just met him… But after what… Sakura told me…. I would rather die for him…. Than for Donovan or Anderson… Or rather those… Dogs from the government…. Anyone would've…. Just left her… To die in… The cold…. But not him… He chose to save her… As did John… I don't care if he…. Really is… A psychopath… He's more… Of a human being… Than anyone… Will ever be…"

Sherlock couldn't believe what he had just heard! To think that a person, he barely knows is able to have the guts to say what he thinks about him, despite the short time he knew him.

A human being? Sherlock? He must've been joking.

Out of rage Medusa suddenly slammed Shadow's head right on the wall causing his forehead to bleed. Sherlock screamed his name again, as Medusa threw him towards the other side of the room.

"Why you-!"

Sherlock attempted to tackle Medusa, but she ended up grabbing Sherlock's arm and snapped his bone in two; he shrieked in pain.

"SHERLOCK! NO!" Shadow screamed.

The detective fell on his knees and grasped his arm and bit his lower lip to sustain the pain. Than she turned to Shadow and walked over to him.

"You…" She said with a glare, "You honestly think this man is already human!?" She kicked Shadow right in the stomach; he spit out blood as she kicked him.

"YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT THIS MAN IS ALREADY HUMAN!?" She repeated as she continued to kick him. She grabbed his neck once again.

"Don't… Make… Me… Laugh…"

Her sword materialized in her hand.

"I think I'm going to have to punish you." Medusa said with a sadistic tone.

"SHADOW! NO!" Sherlock shouted.

As Medusa prepared to run the sword through his side, there suddenly came a familiar voice.

"MEDUSA!"

Medusa quickly return turned around, about to attack her interloper; As soon as she did, she felt something sharp pierce her heart. She looked only to see that there was a knife shoved in her chest.

"N-no…" She choked, "It can-can't…"

She looked forward to see the person who was holding the knife. Both Sherlock and Shadow were shocked to see who the person was.

"Alice?" Sherlock said.

There she was, standing right in front of Medusa, still holding on to the blade; However, there was something different about her that was obviously in plain view.

Instead of having short black hair, she had long black hair that went over her shoulders. She wore a blue dress that reached her knees, with a white apron that was stained with blood. She had worn a necklace that went with the dress which appeared to be a horse shoe. She also wore black buckled boots, with black and white knee socks to go with it.

All of them were pretty much shocked to see Alice alive and well, and they were left speechless.

"Ho...How did…?" Medusa tried to say.

Alice said nothing to her. She picked up her head and looked at Medusa, and finally she spoke.

"You've already taken enough lives from this world…" She said to her with a glare, "You'll never rob anyone, of that… Ever again…"

Medusa felt herself lose energy; she dropped Shadow to the ground and he gasped for air once again. She then removed the knife from the witch's chest; Medusa began to stagger for only a few moments until finally she fell in the pool of corpses. They saw the color leave her eyes. Alice then went over to Sherlock and helped him off the floor.

"Sorry I took so long." Alice said, helping Sherlock brush some of the dirt off. "How are you here?" Sherlock had asked, "I saw Medusa kill you, so how-?"

"It's like I said before. I'll explain later." She said, not letting him finish, "Right now, we have to get that little girl to the hospital. After we get the hell out of here"

"What do you mean by-"

Before Sherlock could finish, Korra & Envy suddenly busted in the room and fell on their faces. "What the hell!?" Shadow yelled. Envy quickly scrambled off of Korra, "GUYS! WE GOTTA GET GOING! KORRA DID SOMETHING INCREDIBLY STUPID, AND NOW THE WHOLE-!"

Envy stopped when he saw Alice standing next to the detective.

"Alice?" Envy said, "Is… Is that really you?"

Alice nodded her head, "What, you didn't think I would die that easy did you?"

Korra & Envy were both speechless, seeing Alice just standing there. It wasn't long until Sherlock cleared his throat. They turned both turned to him, "You were saying?" Sherlock asked the two of them.

"Huh?" Korra said. The three in the room just gave them a blank stare.

Korra then laughed nervously, "Oh right, heehee sorry."


-Later-

After Korra & Envy explained what had happened, and what Korra did, they regrouped with Gibbs & Ziva and ran outside before the whole building was set ablaze. They met up with the others; Surprisingly enough Lestrade with the whole of Scotland Yard waiting for them was there as well, waiting for them.

Shadow recognized one of them, "Sherlock, isn't that person…?"

Sherlock soon saw the person, "John?"

John ran over to them, "Sherlock! Thank god you're still alive."

"What are you doing here?" Sherlock asked, "I thought you weren't going to show up."

"I couldn't just leave you alone could I?" John said.

Sherlock smiled, "No, of course you couldn't." He then turned to Lestrade, "And I didn't expect you to show up here."

"Hey, John convinced me to come here." Lestrade said, "What happened to Medusa?"

Alice then stepped forward, "She's dead, I killed her out of self-defense."

Lestrade turned to her, "She's dead? Are you sure?"

"Yes." Alice replied, "Her body is burning to crisp in there now."

John was honestly surprised to see Alice standing right there talking to Lestrade. He went next to Sherlock, "Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is that Alice standing right there?"

"She told me that she would explain it later." Sherlock replied to him, "For now, just keep it to yourself."

John then turned to Shadow and Sakura who was on his back now, "How is she?" John asked him, "She's alright." Shadow said to him, "From what I can tell her injuries are-"

Sakura than shrieked, clawing her nails into Shadow's shirt. Shadow had panicked, he immediately placed Sakura on the grass.

"Sakura! Sakura!" Shadow yelled trying to get her to wake up.

"Damn it! The chip!" Gibbs said, "It's killing her now!"

"Jesus!" Lestrade said, "Donovan! Call an ambulance, now!"

"Right!" Donovan said, as she did just that.

Alice then turned to Sherlock, "You know as well as I do, that by the time the ambulance get's here it's going to be too late for her."

"I know that!" Sherlock said, "What do you suggest we do?"

Alice thought about it for a moment until…

"Well we only have one option. Well, I wanted to test this anyway."

"Test what?" John asked.

Alice then turned to Korra and Envy. "Do you have it?" Alice asked.

"Of course we do." Korra said, she took it out of a backpack and handed it to Alice. The object that Alice had was appeared to be a small box, like a television set. There were two headsets that was connected to the small box. She placed one of the headsets on Sakura's head. "What, what is that?" John asked.

"It's a two-way transmitter." Alice replied.

"Two-way transmitter?" John said.

"It's a machine that can enter another's mind while they're asleep." she replied.

"Why use this on her than?" Sherlock asked Alice. "Listen to me Sherlock, we can't shut off the chip, or perform surgery without the proper equipment. But what we can do is slow the chip down, just to buy us enough time to perform surgery."

"Slow down the chip?" Shadow asked, "How?"

As she got the machine ready, she started to explain.

"Well in reality she's asleep to us, but in her head she isn't asleep, she's still wandering in her own world, her wonderland if you will. If we can put her to sleep in her mind than we may have a chance at saving her."

"Put her to sleep mentally?" Shadow asked, "You can actually do that?"

Alice nodded her head. Than Envy said, "The only problem, it's going to be a risky for both the patient and user. One wrong move and they could both be trapped in limbo for good."

There was then a moment of silence within the group, that was until Sherlock said, "I'll do it." The group turned to him in shock. "Sherlock you can't be serious about this." John said. All the consulter did was give the doctor a look, and just like that, John knew.

"Oh god, you're not kidding…" Was the only thing John could say. "With all due respect Sherlock, I think it's best if I go." Shadow said to him, "I mean, if you mess up, you might-" Sherlock stopped the young hedgehog before he could finish. "And with all due respect to you, Shadow, you don't know how the inside of a brain works like I do, if you were to go in there and try to find her it would be too late." Sherlock said, "If I go in her head and manage to find her and save her, so for once in your life, let someone else give you a helping hand."

Shadow was about to say something, but he instead just kept his mouth shut. He then said to Sherlock, "Do what you have to do."

Sherlock then turned to Alice, "Are you sure about this?"

All the detective did was nod his head.

"Let's waste no time then." Alice said to him. With that, they got started.

Sherlock sat back on a nearby rock which was close to Sakura, and Envy placed the headset on his head. As he prepared he said to the detective, "You might feel a slight ticklish feeling."

Alice began to start up the machine. She turned to Sherlock, "I'm going to send you in now. Be warned though, if something does indeed happen while you're in her head, I might be able to pull you out so be prepared for what's about to come."

"I'm always prepared." Sherlock said.

"Of course you are." She replied.

As she turned on the machine she began to count, slowly.

"1...2...3...4...5...6...7..8...9...10...11….."


Sherlock began to feel drowsy, and her voice began to muffle and before he knew it, he fell asleep.

The detective slowly opened his eyes and found himself sitting on a bench of what appeared to be a museum. He had found himself sitting in front of a painting of what appeared to be some kind of wolf, standing on it's hind legs, and blood had fallen from it's mouth just like a waterfall. Sherlock got up from off the bench and saw that all through the hall there were paintings similar to the wolf that stood before him.

"So this is what her mind palace is like."

He walked towards the end of the hallway; As soon as he reached it, he found himself what had appeared to be a pathway with more doorways, leading to different parts of her mind. The one he had just gotten out of was nightmares. Sherlock walked down the long path not knowing which one to go into. Until he heard a voice.

There was a crooked man

He walked a crooked mile

He found a crooked sixpence

Upon a crooked stile

Sherlock followed the voice towards a door that was labeled, "Sakura's Room". The voice was coming from in there, and it was obviously where Sakura was.

He bought a crooked cat

Which caught a crooked mouse

And they all lived together

In that crooked little house

Sherlock opened the door and found a familiar face holding on to a white rabbit plush and sitting on a bed crawled up in a ball and staring out the window. He noticed that Sakura was a lot younger than she was from before. This time she was in the body of a five year old, instead of a body of a nine-year-old. He entered the room which had startled the young girl. She turned to him and gave him a somewhat of a scared look as if she didn't know him.

"Who-who are you?" The little one asked him. Sherlock was shocked at the fact that she couldn't remember him, but he let it slide and said to her, "Well I'm your friend, that you met, a while ago."

"A friend?" She asked while tilting her head.

"Yes, a friend." Sherlock said while taking a sit beside her on the bed, "What are you doing up so late? Didn't your parents tell you it's a school night?"

Sakura squeezed her white rabbit and she said, "I can't sleep."

"Why can't you?" The detective asked

"I've been having bad dreams, and I don't know where my mommy and daddy is. I can sleep without mommy and daddy to comfort me."

"Do your mommy and daddy keep the bad dreams away?"

"Yes. I tried to look for them, but I can't find them."

"Your dreams… What are they about?"

"Other children like me… They make fun of me… I want to play games with them… But they said that…. That I wasn't one of them… Since I'm not one of them… I couldn't play with them… So that's why I…"

Sakura began to lose her words; Not knowing what to say, she buried her face within her legs. Sherlock put his hand on her shoulder, "You shouldn't let them get to you." He said to the child, "Those kids are just stupid."

"Stupid?" She asked, "Why are they stupid?"

"Because, they don't see the real picture. All they do is just fill their heads with all kinds of rubbish, and that makes it hard to get just the important stuff."

"Really?"

"Believe me, I do know."

"That makes me feel a little better."

"I'm glad to hear that, do you think you could go to sleep now?"

All Sakura did was shake her head. "I need, someone to play the violin." Sakura said as she pointed to a violin that sat on a stool, "Mommy always plays it to help me sleep." Sherlock smiled and said to her, "If I play the violin for you, then will you sleep?" Little Sakura nodded her head with a smile; the detective got up and picked up the violin.

He started to play for a little while. It wasn't long until Sakura started to sing.

As she sang, Sherlock had stayed in rhythm and the scenery around them in the room began to change, to something that was a lot more like heaven. The heaven that everyone in the world wanted to grasp on to.

There were now in a meadow field, at the orphanage in Japan where Sakura and Shadow used to play with some of the children, who were kind enough to keep their secret from others. He saw them both play with them, and he saw how happy they were.

Soon enough he saw the first time Sakura and Shadow met. He was surprised to see that she had met him when she was a baby he was also pretty shocked that she was able to remember something like that. The one thing he couldn't figure out was, why was he seeing her memories. Was it because of the song, or the fact that her memories were coming back?

It's a damn cold night

The scenery began to change once again, this time it showed them living on the streets. Shadow was stitching himself after being bitten by a dog, and Sakura had a worried look, and she was upset, probably because Shadow had shielded Sakura from the dogs. Shadow comforted Sakura and he knew that it wasn't her fault.

More scenery had shown in front of Sherlock, both happy and sad. As Sherlock watched the memories in front of him spiral, he was honestly even more shocked than he was before.

He had no idea that they both as children was able to go through an ordeal. From losing the only two people that was a true family to them, to a life in Baskerville, he was shocked to see that they didn't lose their minds. He was so surprised that Shadow had abandoned his child just for Sakura's sake.

Maybe he was wrong about him, maybe he wasn't as stubborn as he looks.

Than soon enough, he saw Shadow and Sakura together in a cell in Baskerville. He saw that Sakura had held on to what appeared to be a scalpel and she was about to take her own life until Shadow stopped her. He forced her to drop the knife, and slapped her across her face, speaking japanese to her.

"馬鹿!何をやっていると地獄だと思いますか (Idiot! What the hell do you think your doing)!?" Shadow had shouted while pinning both of her hands against the wall. He looked at the scalpel on the floor.

He turned to Sakura, "その小刀...あなたは、あなたが医者からそれをしませんでした取った (That scalpel… You took it from the doctors didn't you)?" He asked, with still a bit of anger on his tongue.

Sherlock saw Sakura nod her head, but he saw it wasn't in shame; She didn't make eye contact with him.

"私は自殺を予想していなかった···ではないあなたから(I never expected suicide… Not from you)..."

Sherlock saw Sakura say nothing to him, instead she just looked down at her own feet. Shadow gritted his teeth, and then he said to her, "私は理解していない...なぜ...なぜだろう(I don't understand… Why.. Why would you-)-?

"私はそれを取ることができない(I can't take it)..." She said cutting him off, "私はそれをもう取ることはできません(I just can't take it anymore)..."

Sherlock was now blown away by what Sakura was saying to him.

"ママとパパは、私の家族は私たちを拒否し、両方とも死んで、私たちはちょうど私の両親のように死ぬのを待って、ここにいる。私はちょうど私がこのすべてを停止したい、私は我々はすべて満足していた当時に戻りたい、もう一度ママとパパを見てみたい(Mom and dad are both dead, my family rejected us, and we're here, just waiting to die like my parents. I just want to see mom and dad again, I want to go back to those times when we were all happy, I want this all to stop)..."

Sherlock couldn't believe what he was hearing, Sakura a little girl like her having thoughts of suicide at one point. Well, he couldn't exactly blame her after his last case in Baskerville and more horrible things that facility has been doing to people like them.

Truly during his last case in Baskerville, he was scared for Harry, at the fact that he almost committed suicide and could've been with his father, but with Sakura this was different. Her mind could've been broken if it hadn't been for Shadow.

"シャド...私ができる場合、私はしないでください(Shadow… I don't know if I can)..."

"そのようなことを言ってはいけない(Don't say things like that)..." Shadow said to her as he pulled her in for a hug, "あなたのママとパパ...彼らはあなたが自分自身にこれを行う見た場合、彼らは幸せになる(Your mom and dad… Would they be happy if they saw you do this to yourself)?

Sherlock saw Sakura freeze in his arms, soon he heard him talk in english in which she understood.

Sherlock saw Sakura cry in his arms and she cried out, "ごめんなさい!ごめんなさい (I'm sorry! I'm so sorry)!"

Why is everything so confusing?

The scenery changed once again, this time the detective saw Shadow and Sakura both running through the forest away from the looks of it. At some point they both stopped to catch their breath. He had seen Shadow look back and count the many armed guards that were now looking for them. Shadow then turned to Sakura.

He heard him say to her, "Sakura, I need you to listen to me. Run as fast as you can to the train station, and no matter what happens, don't stop and don't look back."

It's a damn cold night

Trying to figure out this life

Won't you, take me by the hand?

Take me somewhere new?

"なぜ?あなたは (Why? What about you)?" Sakura had asked, "あなたは私と一緒に行かない(Aren't you going with me)?"

Shadow shook his head, "I'll stay and hold them off as long as I can."

I don't know who you are

But I… I'm with you

I'm with you

"しかし、我々はロンドンに行くことになっている、それはあなたが私に言ったことではないでしょうか(But we're supposed to go to London, isn't that what you said to me)?"

"I know, I know I said that, but they're just so many of them right now… If we were to stay together, we would both be taken back to that place. I know you don't want that."

"何を私が行うことになってんだ?私はあなたなしでは何もできません(What am I supposed to do? I can't do anything without you)."

They both heard a snap in the branches; the guards drew closer to them.

But I… I'm with you

"You need to keep yourself hidden. You can't trust anyone, not even the police."

"なぜできないのですか(Why can't I)?"

"Someone is looking for us. She can blend within the crowd and can be anybody she wants to be, so that's why you can't trust them you understand."

"私は私の叔父に連絡しようとした場合どのようにして、多分彼は助けることができる(How about if I try to contact my uncle, maybe he can help)"

"He's dead Sakura. I'm sorry but everyone is dead."

I'm with you…

Sakura was shocked to hear the news. She let it sink in her brain. "誰もが死んでいる(Everyone is dead)?"

The only thing Shadow could do was nod his head.

"そんな筈はありません(No way)..."

"That's why… You need to keep yourself hidden, do you understand?"

Sakura nodded her head, "あなたが戻って来るのだろうか(Will you come back)?"

"I will come back." Shadow had replied.

Sherlock than saw Sakura stick out her pinky, "約束ですか(Promise)?" The detective saw that Shadow had at first hesitated before he intertwined his pinky with hers, "I promise."

They heard the branches snap again, Shadow turned to Sakura, "Go Sakura, run!"

Sakura nodded and she did just that as Shadow headed in the opposite direction. It was about hours before Sakura managed to get to the trains and sneak in the back cart where they stored the luggages. She soon heard a gunshot in the distance.

When she saw it came from the direction where Shadow ran, she started to cry.

Soon enough Sherlock had stopped playing and the her memories came to an end. He saw that the little one fell asleep, while sitting up and some of the colors came back in the room he was in. He placed the violin down and then he put the little one in a comfortable position on the bed and placed the covers over her.

A single tear had streamed down the detectives face after he had seen her memories, of the life that she and Shadow had to go through. He still couldn't believe it, all that they have suffered after their rejection from her own family. Even if that were to happen to him, he wouldn't know how long his own mind would last.

He took his leave from Sakura's room. As he was about to close the door, he took one last look at the sleeping child.

"Sweet dreams, Sakura."

He slowly shut the door and took his leave.
