I had exams. You can't hold that against me. :) Well, I would have done this earlier but I am busy. I have a week holiday and after I am bound to a week without technology because I am going on a school trip with my friends. It will be fun but I am so sneaking my phone in! XD
Onto serious stuff. This story will be ending in 4 more chapters and one of them will be Maddian's 3rd date.
Daniel stayed behind Maddy, as the ears, as Rhydian, as the eyes again, led the group back over the bridge with the new addition of Daniel Smith. When they got to the place they found an injured Bryn, they all, except Daniel, winced.
"We'll keep going forward." Rhydian said behind his back.
"Whatever. Thank goodness I called my mum and told her that I was staying over at yours." Tom said.
"Same." Shannon commented.
"Thank goodness we brought loads of supplies and food. It looks like we'll be here longer than we thought." Maddy said pointing to the night sky.
"You're right, cub." Daniel said. A further fifteen minutes passed till someone talked.
"How much further?" Shannon moaned. "My legs are killing me."
"Yeah, we've been walking non-stop for hours, mate. Let's take a half an hour break or something." Tom pleaded.
"But in that half and hour, my mother and our friend could be killed!" Rhydian shouted. "So stop moaning and let's go."
"Control your boyfriend." Tom mumbled to Maddy.
"We don't have suffer because of him." Shannon added.
Maddy rolled her eyes and walked up front to Rhydian and placed a hand on his back.
"Rhyd, let's take a ten minute break. I'm sure Murik is just waiting for you so we can take our time." Maddy said. Rhydian rolled his eyes but kept going. "Please, Rhydian? For me?" She pouted.
Rhydian stopped sighed. "Five minutes. That's all." He caved. The group cheered and sat down on tree stumps and began to eat.
"I see movement!" Shannon whispered, looking though her night vision binoculars. The group had their short break and had been walking further for another twenty minutes when they reached a cave.
Rhydian, Maddy and Daniel sniffed the air out and Rhydian grinned when he smelt the familiar scents.
"It's them." He whispered, excitedly. "Alright. Daniel, Maddy; surround the area in a triangle form. I'll stay here. Shannon, Tom; don't get hurt and you'll be our eyes and ears. You'll be in between two of the triangle lines so you are in the safe areas." Rhydian instructed.
"Ok. Dad, let's go." Maddy whispered as she and her father took their formations.
"Good luck. Take this." Shannon said, handing him a walkie talkie. Tom had followed Maddy to give her one. Daniel had his super hearing to use instead.
"Thanks." Rhydian smiled, hugging her. "You are all fantastic people. I don't know what I'll do without you in my life." Rhydian said.
Shannon smiled and sighed. "You're not dying yet, Rhyd. Let's get this over with. It will be ok. You'll see." She whispered, kissing his cheek lightly. "And by way, if we don't make it, Tom and I were going out behind yours and Maddy's backs."
"I knew it!" Rhydian grinned, hugging her again. "Now, go. We'll all meet on the other side." He winked.
"Yep." Shannon said, ending the conversation and going to her position.
Rhydian press the 'talk' button on his walkie talkie. "We ready?" He asked.
"Affirmative." The rest replied.
"Ok. For our clan." Rhydian raised his hand, putting the walkie talkie into his pocket.
The next thing he knew, he was turning into his wolf form.
Oooh! We're getting closer! Next chapter is the Big Fight. Stay tuned!
