"Percy!" Sally called from the living room. "Can you come here for a minute?"

She heard a crash and soon enough, her sixteen year old son came barreling into the room. "Hey mom," he said. "What's up?"

She twirled a strand of long brown hair around her finger. "Paul's family is coming over for dinner tomorrow, they want to meet you. I figured you might want to invite Annabeth…"

Sally tried not to grin when Percy's face lit up at her mentioning his girlfriend. She knew that Percy had no interest in meeting Paul's mortal family, and having Annabeth there would make him much happier. It also didn't hurt that Sally loved her son's girlfriend, and was honestly more interested in spending time with her, than her husband's relatives.

Percy smiled, ear to ear, "Really?"

She nodded, "Mhm. Maybe you could get her to help you with your math homework."

Percy scrunched up his nose, obviously thinking of things he'd rather do with his girlfriend- oh gods, she didn't want to think about that. He was still her baby.

Sally shrugged, "Just a suggestion. Because if you get help on it now, you won't need tutoring, which gives you more free time during the week."

"I guess," Percy said, still not looking convinced. "I'm gonna go IM her!"

The next day was Friday, meaning that Percy was in school, and Sally had plenty of time to write and to cook dinner for the Blofis family. Paul and Percy were picking Annabeth up after Goode let out, and Paul's parents, brother, and his brother's family, would be over at five-thirty.

Sally had met Paul's family on multiple occasions, but they'd never met Percy. He was just a little too busy saving the world.

By the time Percy and Paul came back to the apartment with Annabeth, Sally was already working on dinner. She'd settled on chicken and pasta, and was marinating the chicken, when the three came through the door. Paul was first, and kissed Sally chastely, before telling her that he had loads of papers to grade, and walking into their bedroom.

Percy had his arm loosely around his girlfriend's waist, and they were playfully bickering about gods know what.

"Hi Sally," Annabeth grinned. Her blonde hair was braided over her shoulder, and she was wearing a hoodie with jeans and converse.

Sally smiled at the daughter of Athena, "Hello dear. How's school?"

Her gray eyes were shining as she started talking about the architecture class she was taking, but she was soon interrupted by a wistful sigh coming from Percy.

He had his usual blue Jansport backpack on his back, but had a black and white polka-dotted tote in the hand that wasn't holding Annabeth.

"Annabeth," he whined. "My arm hurts."

She rolled her eyes, "No it doesn't, Seaweed Brain. Curse of Achilles? But I get the message. Sally, it was lovely talking to you, but your son is very impatient."

Sally laughed, "Go ahead. Did you bring something a little dressed up to wear during dinner? Paul's family is a little… formal."

She nodded, "Yes ma'am, I brought a dress."

The two walked into the living room and both settled on the couch, shifting so Percy's head was in Annabeth's lap. Annabeth snatched the remote from Percy's hand, pressing the power button. Luckily, the TV was already on CBS, and they were playing a re-run of The Big Bang Theory, one of the only shows that the couple could agree on.

Two episodes and several giggle fits later, Sally called from the kitchen.

"Okay, you two! It's five, and you need to get dressed."

Percy sighed and sat up, turning towards Annabeth, "You can use my room, if you want?"

She wrinkled her nose, "Sorry, Seaweed Brain, but no. Your room is disgusting. I'll be in the bathroom."

She kissed his cheek and stood up, grabbing her tote bag on the way.

He wasn't happy about it, but Percy put on the blazer and pants that his mom saved for special occasions and even brushed his hair. Percy knew this meant a lot to his mom and Paul, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered.

He went back into the living room and sat on the couch, waiting for Annabeth. A few minutes later, she stumbled out of the hallway, attempting to put her black flats on her feet as she walked.

She was wearing a black and blue striped skater dress and had braided the curls that framed her face, pinning them back with a bobby pin.

She was stunning. Well, she was always extremely beautiful, but there was something about seeing his girlfriend in a dress. Or in combat. Annabeth was breathtaking in combat.

He was having trouble remembering his name, and probably would've stayed there, jaw dropped, all night if his mother hadn't walked in.

"Annabeth," she cooed. "You look beautiful!"

Annabeth blushed and started twirling a golden curl around her finger, the way she did when she got nervous.

"Thanks," she said.

Sally muttered something about getting her camera, and left the room. Percy took this opportunity to take the daughter of Athena's hand and kiss her.

"You're gorgeous," he told her, then winced, wishing he had been a little less straightforward.

This only caused her to blush harder.

"Thanks," she mumbled. "You look really handsome, Percy."

Paul walked out of the bedroom, wringing his hands. "Alright guys. So, my family doesn't know about our… friends up in the sky, so if we could keep it that way, it would be ideal."

Annabeth quickly recovered, then nodded, "That's probably wise. It's their first time meeting Seaweed Brain, and you don't want them thinking that he's any weirder than he already is."

"Hey!"

"Is for horses," Annabeth smirked.

Paul chuckled, "And my brother has a set of twins, Michael and Danielle, who are fifteen, and another son, Dylan who's seventeen."
Before either demigod could respond, Sally hustled in, ushering them to the fireplace.

"Stand there. I never get to see you two all dressed up, and we're going to remember how sweet you look."

Percy rolled his eyes, but did as his mother asked, Annabeth following his lead.

They stood at the foot of the fireplace, and Sally clicked away with her camera. "Okay, Percy, put your arm around her."

Cheeks flushed, the couple did as she instructed, and struck various poses, ending with Annabeth sticking her tongue out at the son of Poseidon.

The doorbell rang at five-thirty on the dot. Like- not a minute early or late. Five-thirty.

Paul was the one to answer the door, smoothing down his salt and pepper hair before he did so. Sally guided Percy and Annabeth over to the entryway, fixing Percy's blazer collar as she walked.

"Behave," she whispered in their ears.

The first to cross the threshold was an older version of Paul. He might have been his identical twin, if not for the deeper set wrinkles and slightly baggy skin. Next came a woman who was obviously Mrs. Blofis, followed by a couple Sally and Paul's age and three kids.

Percy glanced over at Annabeth, who looked wildly uncomfortable as the youngest girl inspected them. Neither of the two boys seemed to care, but she was eyeing them like a hawk.

Paul smiled at his family, "Hey, everyone! Welcome… Come in."

They all made their way into the living room. "So, you all have met Sally, and this is her son, Percy," he waved awkwardly, "and this is his girlfriend, Annabeth Chase."

Annabeth gave them a tight-lipped smile, "Hi."

The younger boy crossed his arms and mumbled something about not being able to invite friends. Everyone chose to ignore him.

A woman Percy assumed was Paul's mother spoke for the group and said, "It's very nice to meet you, young man." She shook his hand, "And you as well, Miss Chase." She shook Annabeth's as well. "I'm Louise Blofis, my husband, Paul senior, our son Xavier and his wife Erin, with their children, Danielle, Michael and Dylan."

Mrs. Blofis pointed to each person as she introduced them, and everyone exchanged really awkward nods.

Soon after the Blofis family arrived, Sally declared that dinner was ready, and ushered them all into the dining room.

"So," Mr. Blofis began. "Percy, do you have any plans for college?"

Percy shrugged, "I dunno. I'm not very good in school. That's more of Annabeth's thing."

Okay, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing to say to a family full of teachers. Paul's brother gave him a distasteful look.

"Oh? Then what do you expect to do after you graduate?"

Percy was oblivious to the judgement he was receiving from Paul's family and continued stuffing his face with his mom's food.

"Maybe teach sword fighting, I like that. Marine biology? I'm a sophomore, I've got time."

This didn't seem to please them, but they relented, probably confused by the sword fighting comment. Annabeth grabbed Percy's hand under the table, mouthing, slow down at him. He pouted at her and chewed slowly, then made a face at her. She slapped his leg, then shook her hand, muttering, "Ow."

Percy took the hand she slapped him with, and kissed it gently, and she grinned at him.

Sally cleared her throat, and the couple's bubble was burst, and they realized that everyone at the table was staring at them.

He looked up, and ran his hand through his hair. "Uh… Nice weather, huh?"

Sally bit her lip, biting back a chuckle, but Paul's nephews and niece were grinning. Dylan flashed the two a thumbs up.

Erin, Paul's sister in law, was smiling softly. "How long have you two been dating?"

"Three months," Annabeth said. "But we've been best friends since we were twelve."

Danielle was grinning. "You guys are cute," she said.

"Aren't they? We've been trying to get them together for years," Sally gushed. "It took four years, but it finally happened."

Percy looked like he wished he could shadow travel away, like Nico would in this situation. He hid his face in his hands and Annabeth's face was beet red. It seemed like they were going to spend a lot of time this evening with blushing faces.

"Oh look!" Sally laughed. "We've embarrassed them!"

By the end of dinner, Percy had decided that he liked most of Paul's family. His parents and brother were a little uptight, but they weren't the worst mortals he'd ever met. The adults sat in the dining room, drinking wine and laughing, while everyone else retired to the TV.

Annabeth was kicking butt in Call of Duty, sitting in between Percy's legs and yelling to her team about strategy.

Unfortunately, Percy was on her team, so the Blofis kids didn't stand a chance. When deciding who would be on what team, Annabeth had whispered "mortals versus demigods" in Percy's ear, smirking at him.

Percy may have found a new family, but he wouldn't be able to enjoy if for long…

A/N: I know. I just stopped there.

Teehee. So, it's been a bit longer than normal since I updated, but this is a lot longer than all the other chapters, so…

Also, I would LOVE any prompts, or ideas, because that's what keeps this story going. If you guys don't leave me prompts, I can't write, because gods know I can't think of all these ideas!

I still really want to write my Piper/Annabeth/Hazel friendship stuff, because I love them so much. They're so cute, and I really need some of their friendship in Blood of Olympus. They're perfect. So, leave me prompts and reviews, because they keep me going.

So give me some love, hate, criticism, whatever!
