Terra Badge

The sandstorm raged in the Gym. "Ugh I can't see very well, what about you Alex?" Cryssie asked.

"They are just standing, I'm guessing the final battle is about to start." Cryssie was saddened. "Guess that means Rhydon lost" Alex just nodded.

"Absol be careful you've seen how powerful it is!" Zayne called out.

Herman chuckled. "You won't win! Donphan Earthquake!"

Zayne sprang into action. "Absol jump up and Psycho Cut Barrage!" Absol leapt up high avoiding the destruction and began its attack by spinning then releasing multiple attack to the Donphan who couldn't avoid them and was soon knocked back.

"What?! No! Donphan get up and Roll Out!" Herman ordered in a distraught tone.

"Absol, dodge it, then counter with a Shadow Claw!" Absol landed and charged and tried to avoid the attack but got hit on the shoulder, sending him back. "Grr sol!" Absol stood tall. "It'll take more than that to stop us! Absol Water Pulse!" Absol gritted its teeth through the sandstorm then charged its attack firing a ring to the enemy.

"What!? Protect now Donphan!" The Donphan ducked and covered itself taking no damage.

"Darn! That could have been it!" Zayne moaned. "Absol Shadow Claw!" Absol began its charge again.

"Donphan Earthquake!" The attack sent Absol flying up high.

"Absol quick, Water Pulse!" He charged the attack and released it hitting the Donphan it went flying but it stood back up but it was staggering.

"No! You've confused it!" Herman was losing his cool.

"Ha ha! Absol Hyper Beam!" Absol readied its attack high in the air then sent the energy down.

"Protect! Donphan!" The attack caused the sandstorm to turn into dust covering the scene. What happened?

"What happened in there? Alex?" Cryssie asked

"I'm not sure...Absol sent an attack to the opponents Pokemon, but I can't see." They both squinted to see what happened. After the dust settled it was clear that the Donphan was unable to get its shield up and was defeated on the floor.

"Donphan is unable to continue! Absol is the victor! Zayne is the winner!" The green flag ended the match.

Herman moaned "Argg! Return Donphan!" He withdrew his Pokemon. "You have won, congratulations" He walked up to Zayne, and offered his hand. "You have brought down the mountain." He had his normal tone back.

Zayne shock his hand. "I should thank you, you helped me to get stronger"

Herman smiled. "Ha ha, I must apologize for my previous encounter, I was a little harsh."

Zayne shook his head. They both laughed. "Well, here is the Terra Badge" He held a small badge that looked like mountain with a river flowing down it.

"Thank you!" Zayne picked it up and showed Absol. "We did it!" They both jumped with joy.

"Ha ha, don't stop training, the leaders will only get stronger and so must you" Herman said, and Zayne nodded. "Yeah!" He said

"Great job Zay Zay!" Cryssie came running over with Alex and Spheal. "Spppeee!"

"Yes, congratulations!" Alex said.

"Thanks guys!" He looked at Herman. "Umm, a few days ago some people were trying to break into this place, members of Team Dawn, would you happen to know why?"

He looked back shocked. Alex also jumped at this. "Hmm, I have no idea, the only Pokemon here are my own other than that there is nothing for them to take" He shrugged. "Well, your next destination would be Straton Town, I wish you luck on your journeys, also give my best to your Grandfather"

Zayne nodded sadly. "Will do". They left the building.

"I'm going to head off to Kalran City now" Alex said.

"Oh, okay..." Zayne was a little sad, he had gotten used to having him around. "But you take care of yourself more!" He scolded, and he got poked for it.

"That was my line , dummy, so, take care Alex and look after yourself!" She smiled.

Zayne rubbed his head "Ow!"

Alex smiled but he seemed saddened. "Goodbye, friends. See you soon okay?" He turned and waved back and left towards the docks.

Zayne sighed. "Just you and me again."

She looked at him angry. "Why must you say it like that?!" She poked him.

"Ow! Will you quit it!" At the Pokecentre Zayne was on the phone to his Mom. "I did great! You should have seen how strong my Pokemon were!" He couldn't hold in his excitement. Once he was finished he headed back to the till.

"Your Pokemon are fighting fit, we hope to see you again!" Nurse Joy nodded and Chansey followed.

"Thank you! Come on Absol, Cryssie is missing you!" They left building looking at the red sky he let his thoughts fall to his Granpa. I'm getting stronger but it isn't enough yet to help you. They left for the docks to meet with Cryssie.
