I am SO SORRY for the long wait! I have been busy with school, homework and my other stories that I lost motive for this story. But never fear, I have returned! It is time for Marcus to continue his journey!
Chapter 19
Once after Marcus hangs up with Elsa, he started to look around the campus to find the people in the book Sanguine gave him. The book, 'The Pirates of the Caribbean', was about, well, mostly pirates. It was about a young woman name Elizabeth Swan, who saved a young man name William Turner from the sea. Well, long story short, she was kidnapped by a pirate named Barbossa and his crew and William seek the aid of a pirate named, no surprise, Jack Sparrow to save her. After a long journey and Jack Sparrow gathering a crew, they all manage to save Elizabeth, only to be intercepted by Barbossa and his crew. But there was something wrong with Barbossa and his crew. As it turns out, Barbossa and his crew were cursed to roam as the living undead. And in order for the curse to be broken, Barbossa and his crew had to collect Aztec gold coins to break them of the curse. Long story short, Will and Jack found Elizabeth and saved her and defeated Barbossa in the end and Jack got his ship, The Black Pearl, from Barbossa back.
While looking around campus, Marcus groans as he rubs his eyes and thought "How am I going to do this? I mean, using my wand will help, but I need to find a place to keep Maleficent out of the way. If only I can…wait…in the story, Jack Sparrow is Captain. So why did he correct me when we first met? I need to see him."
After that, Marcus heads to his car, and once he found it, he got in and drove it to the town. As he drove into the town, Marcus begins to looks around until he saw Jack on the side of the street. When Marcus parked his car, he got off and walks up to him.
"Hey, Sparrow," Marcus said.
Jack Sparrow looks at him and said "Who're you?"
Marcus narrowed his eyes and said "Are you serious? We met yesterday and you already forgot?"
Jack begins to think hard and said "Nope, never heard of you."
As Marcus cursed, he then thought "Wait a minute…what if…"
Turning around and making sure no one is around, Marcus rubs his Ring of the Void and his Bottle of Divine Wine appeared before him. When Marcus turns back at Jack Sparrow, he held up the bottle and said "How about some of this will help you 'remember' me?"
When Jack saw the bottle wine, he quickly gets it, opens it and drinks it. Marcus huffed and said "So much for that idea."
After almost a minute of drinking, Jack let out a loud sigh of relief and said "Ah! That is the good stuff! Almost tastes like rum!"
As Marcus rolls his eyes and was about to take his bottle back, Jack looks at him and said "Ah! Lad, it's you!"
Marcus groans and said "Oh, now he remembers me."
Jack swirls a bit and said "Oh I remember you alright! You…You were part of my crew!"
Confused, Marcus raised an eyebrow and asked "What do you mean?'
Jack replied "I mean you are part of my crew…Dragonborn."
Shocked, Marcus asked "You…You know me? Or…my past self?"
Jack nodded and said "Of course, mate-y."
Still confused, Marcus asked "But…seconds ago…you didn't know who I was and now you remember me? How is that possible?"
Jack held the Bottle of Divine Wine and said "This rum is helping me remember!"
Marcus rolled his eyes and thought "Oh man, so that's how he remembers his past life?! By getting drunk?!"
"Okay Jack," Marcus said.
"CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow," Jack said.
"Okay, CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow," Marcus said, "I know all about your story. So how do you know about me?"
Jack smirks and said "You were part of me crew, and a fine edition you were. You helped me take out Barbossa and got me my ship back."
"But why would I be a pirate?" Marcus asked.
Jack replied "Because mate, you wanted to."
Marcus rubs his eyes and said "Alright, so you know what is going on at least."
Jack nodded and said "Aye, that whole curse thing going on. So…what's the plan?"
Marcus thought about it and said "Well…if you can remember then the others can. But…the only reason why you can remember is because you're drunk. So…yeah…"
He then got the Bottle of Divine Wine from Jack and said "I am going to go now. Uh…great seeing you…I guess?"
When Marcus was heading to his car, Jack said "And be sure to defeat that witch. She needs to be stopped and the curse broken."
With that, Jack fell to the ground and fell asleep. Marcus just shook his head and got in his car and drove back to the university. When he got there and parked his car, Marcus got out and headed to his dorm room. On his way to his room, he decided to head to the Theta House to tell Anna and Elsa about what he found out. Deciding on what to do, Marcus walked towards the Theta House. Once he got there, he knocked on the door and Anna opened it. When she saw him, she smiled and said "Oh hey, Marcus! What's up?"
Marcus replied "Not much. I have gotten information about Operation: Bigfoot. Is Elsa in?"
Anna nodded and said "Yeah, it's just us. Come in."
When Marcus nodded, he entered the house, and when he walked into the kitchen, he saw his girlfriend sitting by the kitchen counter with an ice pack on her head. Marcus laughed and said "Awww, what's wrong, babe? A little too much?"
Elsa chuckled and said "No, I'm better now."
As she placed the ice pack down, Anna and Marcus sat down and Anna asked "So what's up?"
After Marcus explained the story he got to the girls, both Anna and Elsa thought about it and Elsa said "And how are we going to do this?"
Marcus replied "Well…I recently discovered a bit of a loophole to the curse."
Curious, Anna looks at him and asked "What is that?"
Marcus looks at them and asked "Have you've known anyone who got drunk? You know, before I came to Storybrooke?"
Anna and Elsa thought about it and Elsa replied "As far as I know, no. Why?"
"Well," Marcus said, "Apparently, when someone gets drunk, they somehow remember their past."
When Marcus said that, both Anna's and Elsa's eyes widen and their faces started to blush. While rubbing his eyes, Marcus said "It's strange, I know. But when I gave Jack Sparrow, oh wait I mean CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, the bottle of wine Elsa drank, he began to talk about his past life. It's strange."
"Yeah," Elsa said as she nervously chuckles, "That sounds crazy."
Marcus shook his head and remembered something. He looks at Elsa, raised an eyebrow and asked "You…didn't remember your past life when you were drunk, did you?"
Stunned, Elsa nervously sweats and said "Uh…nope! Not one bit! Hahaha, I have no idea what you mean!"
Suspicious of Elsa's behavior, Marcus shrugs and said "Okay, so…we just need to find Will and Elizabeth."
"And that Barbossa guy," Anna said, "But where are we going to find them?"
"I don't know about Will and Elizabeth," Marcus said, "But Sanguine said that Barbossa took Jack's job here in the university. If we find out what job it is, then we find him."
"So…" Elsa said, "What is Barbossa teaching?"
"That…" Marcus said, "Is a good question. Why don't we ask around?"
Anna quickly said "You know what, Elsa is still not feeling well. Why don't you go on ahead and find out?"
"Are you sure you don't want me to get you anything?" Marcus asked as he looks at Elsa, "I mean, I could get you some Tylenol or something to ease your headache."
Elsa gently smiles and him and said "I'm fine, thanks. You do what you have to do and I'll just stay here and recover."
Marcus nodded and said "Okay, I'll let you guys know what I find."
He then walks over to her, gently kisses Elsa on the head and left the Theta House. Once he was gone, both Elsa and Anna let out a sigh of relief and Anna said "Man, that was close!"
Elsa agreed and said "Yeah, though…shouldn't we have told Marcus about my dream? About my past life?"
Anna shook her head and replied "Nope! We want that to be a surprise. Or wait at the right moment to tell him."
Elsa sighed and said "Right. But…have we've been drunk before?"
Before Anna could reply, she stopped and said "You know what…I don't remember drinking before."
Elsa thought about it and said "You don't think it's the curse affecting us, right?"
Anna replied "Right. So…all we have to do is get drunk to remember?"
"Oh no!" Elsa said in a demanding way, "There is no way you are drinking!"
"Oh come on," Anna begged, "This might be our chance to remember our past lives and…"
All of a sudden, Anna stopped herself and begins to remember something. Elsa saw this and asked "Anna? What is it?"
Anna looks at her and said "I just barely remembered something. If…If Merlin remembered his past self, then…wouldn't that affect someone else?"
Elsa begins to think about it and said "You're right! If one person remembers who they were, then everyone who is connected to that person must be affected as well!"
Anna then said "We must find Merlin and asked him about this!"
Elsa agreed as the two of them rushed out of their house and went to find Merlin.
While Marcus was walking around the campus, he begins to look through every building to find Will, Elizabeth or Barbossa. When he walks into the quad of the campus, he saw every student approaching different booths set-up. As Marcus raised an eyebrow, he remembered that there was a Club Rally where different clubs are set-up and have students join. When he was walking around, he saw a familiar face: Ariel was talking to Belle. He walks up to them and said "Hey girls."
Both Ariel and Belle look over, saw Marcus and smiled. Ariel then said "Oh hey Marcus! How have you been?"
Marcus replied "I've been fine. You guys plan on joining any club?"
Belle replied "Well, I just joined a Book Club, since I love to read them."
Ariel then said "And I joined the Swim Team. I would have the Glee Club but…"
"Yeah," Marcus said, "I know."
"So," Belle said, "What about you? What club are you going to join?"
Marcus thought about it and replied "I don't know yet. Hey, can I ask you guys something?"
When both Belle and Ariel nodded, Marcus asked "Do the names Will, Elizabeth and Barbossa mean anything to you?"
"Elizabeth?" Belle asked, "You mean Elizabeth Swan? Because she is in our fraternity house."
Marcus nodded and said "Yeah, her."
"Why?" Ariel asked, "Trying to play match-maker?"
Marcus shrugged and said "Worked the first time."
Both girls laughed and Belle said "Well, I don't know is she is interested right now."
Marcus shook his head and said "And the other two?"
"Well," Ariel said, "I don't know any Will, but I do know Barbossa. He coaches the Fencing Club."
"Fencing Club?" Marcus asked.
He knew what the Fencing Club is, and it makes perfect sense to why Barbossa coaches it since he was a pirate in his past life and he knows how to use a sword. Marcus then said "Thanks for the information. I am going to look at what club to join."
Both Belle and Ariel nodded and Belle said "Okay, hope you pick the right one!"
When they said their goodbyes, they all went their ways and Marcus was quickly looking around for the Fencing Club. After a few minutes of looking, he finally found it. He saw a few familiar faces: Phillip, Phoebus, Henry and Jacob. When Marcus looks over, he saw an older man with a dirty long brown/blonde beard and long hair, green eyes and wrinkle skin. He was wearing a grey bandana, a long sleeved grey dress shirt, beige pants and brown boots. Marcus narrowed his eyes as he was looking at Barbossa.
When Barbossa saw him, he smirks and said "Aye, how are you doing, lad? Care to join the Fencing Club?"
Marcus thought about it and replied "That is why I am here."
"Marvelous," Barbossa said, "But let us see how you far. Phillip, test him."
When Phillip heard his name, he turns to Marcus and said "You sure you want to do this?"
Marcus nodded and replied "Yeah, I'm sure."
After the two of them put on the safety gear and practice swords, the both of them turn to each other and crossed their swords. When Barbossa cried 'Begin', both Marcus and Phillip swung their swords at each other. Thanks to his past knowledge, Marcus quickly learned how to wield a sword and parried with Phillip. After almost a minute, Marcus quickly disarmed Phillip and jabs his practice sword towards his chest, ending the match. When Marcus pulled back his sword, Barbossa smirks and said "Impressive, you certainly have a talent with the sword."
Marcus shrugs and said "I try my best."
Barbossa chuckles and said "I bet you can improve in the club. Care to join?"
Marcus then thought "If I join, then I can keep a close eye on Barbossa. Plus, I might see what else can dig up on this guy."
"Alright," Marcus said, "I'll join."
"Marvelous," Barbossa said, "We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 2 for 1-2 hours. See you then."
When Marcus nodded, he took off his gear. While he did that, Phillip went up to him and said "That was some nice moves you got there. Where you learn them?"
Marcus shrugs as he taps his head and said "I guess I know."
Phillip chuckled and said "I suppose so. I'll see you in the club then."
When Marcus nodded, he headed to his dorm room. Along the way, he heard a voice crying "Marcus!"
Turning around, Marcus saw Elsa and Anna rushing up to him. Curious, Marcus asked "Elsa? Anna? What's wrong?"
When the sisters were near him, Anna said "You are not going to believe what we found out!"
Curious, Marcus asked "What is it?"
Elsa replied "Well, do you remember when Merlin got his memories? Well, we were thinking that, if Merlin got his memories back then…"
Anna then said "Then that means people who are connected to Merlin must have gotten their memories back!"
Shocked at this, Marcus asked "And did you guys find out who Merlin was connected to?"
The sisters nodded and Anna said "Yeah, and you are not going to believe who it is."
As Marcus raised an eyebrow, Elsa said "It's Arthur."
Marcus' eyes widen and asked "What?! Are you serious?!"
The two of them nodded and Anna said "Yeah."
"But then…shouldn't he have his memories back?" Marcus asked.
"Let's go ask him," Anna said.
When Marcus nodded, they headed to his dorm. Once they arrived, they saw Arthur typing on his laptop. As soon as Arthur saw them, he said "Hey guys, what's up?"
"Arthur," Anna said, "Do…Do you remember your past life?"
Confused, Arthur said "What? No, of course not. Why?"
Elsa said "Because we talked to Merlin and he said that you are connected with Merlin. And since he was the first to get his memories back, then you would have gotten your memories back."
Stunned at what he heard, Arthur said "Are you sure? But…I don't remember anything."
Thinking about this, Marcus said "This is a strange case here. If Merlin remembers his past and not Arthur's, then what is going on?"
Everything thought about it and Anna said "This is hard."
"Tell me about it," Marcus said, "Now things got more complicated."
As everyone rubbed their heads, they all thought the same thing: How can things get worse?

If someone who is under the curse, while the curse itself is being broken, and gets drunk, they will get flashes of their past life. That is how Jack Sparrow knew of his past as well as Elsa.
