Chapter 20
"Emma, who is that?" Rarity asked, gesturing her hoof to the unicorn behind the bars.
"I'm not certain but it looks like…" Emma trailed off. 'No…it can't be. That's just taking it too far!' She thought. But sure enough, right behind the bars of the cell just about twenty feet from them sat a ponyfied *I don't care if that's not a real word* Peter Pan. He was dark green with a short, dark brown main and tail and bright blue eyes. On his flank was his shadow.
"Hello there, would you mind helping me out of here, I'm a bit stuck at the moment." He said. Emma stared in disbelief.
"No, no, no, there's no way!" Emma exclaimed as she shook her head.
"What!? What are you talking about!?" Rarity asked, getting a bit impatient. "Who is that?"
"Oh, where are my manners? My name is Peter, Peter Pan. And you are?" The unicorn introduced himself. Emma darted to the bars, looking him in the eyes suspiciously as he took a small step back.
"No! There is no way! That's just…NO!" Emma exclaimed, flailing her han-ERM- hooves. Rarity trotted up to the manic alicorn, taking her hooves and pulling them down in an attempt to calm her down. It worked, but Emma was still obviously flipping out.
"Emma, calm down." Rarity said to her friend. She then turned to Peter. "I am Rarity and this is Emma." She introduced them since Emma certainly wasn't going to.
"Well, it's lovely to meet you two." Peter replied. "So, do you think you could help me out?"
-SOMEWHERE ELSE IN A VERY DEPRESSING PART OF THE STORY-
"P-Pinkie?" Jefferson choked out, lying on the ground next to the limp, blood-soaked pony. She didn't make a sound so he nudged her with his hoof. "Pinkie, wake up." He ignored the agonizing pain in his side as well as he could and focused on waking Pinkie up. Hook had left him with a gash in his side and three gashes in Pinkie's side. Jefferson turned her over to examine her wounds. She was bleeding a lot and there wasn't much time left until she'd bleed out. He attempted to use his horn and, after a few fruitless tries, managed to get it working. He didn't know any spells, but some part of him sort of knew what to do, so he simply followed it. He assumed that must have been one of the perks of being a unicorn; instinct will take over if needed. The spell worked and Pinkie's wounds healed over. Jefferson let himself lay limply on the ground, completely exhausted from the amount of power the spell took. He wrapped his hooves around Pinkie and pulled her close.
-LET'S SEE WHAT'S GOING ON OVER HERE-
"And then she kicked the last tree and all the apples fell into the bucket without a single one missing! And she did it all in under an hour! It was CRAZY!" Apple Bloom really seemed to enjoy telling stories about her older sister. Gold sighed and came to a stop, turning to face Apple Bloom.
"Don't you think this might go faster if we just focused on finding our way out of here?" He said calmly. Apple Bloom looked at him for a moment before a large grin took over her face.
"You're right!" She said as she continued to walk. 'Wait…that's it? That's all it takes?' Gold thought. He walked forward and continued to lead the way.
"Oh yea! I almost forgot to tell ya! There was this one time that…" Gold sighed again. He knew it was too good to be true.
A/N: So, did you like it? I liked writing it! :o) Please review and tell me what you think! 'till next time, readers!
