Ahhhhhhhh! I AM SO SO SORRY FOR LEAVING THIS STORY FOR SO LONG! I just feel so stressed with having so many stories to write & having more ideas for stories that I just think "fuck it" & forget about everything for a day & the cycle repeats. Maybe I should just go back to my old ways & only update stories that I have inspiration for & maybe stories that are almost finished rather than have an updating schedule that stresses me out.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter! :D

Guest: Aw thank you! You're so sweet! & You should totally try writing your own story :) I mean, I see people all the time that won't write bc they think they're writings shit, but honestly, you never know until you try & when I first started out my ideas were horrible & my writing was crap, but look at me now! I've definitely come a long way since my first story haha. & maybe you could put your name on the guest account name so I know who you are when you review from now on? :)

Chapter 21

One Month Later

For the past month everything had been sailing smoothly. Everything was the same as it had been ever since Rydel had gone to jail. Ross would stay home, mainly because he was forced to by Ellington, Rocky, Riker and his Mom, whilst the rest of R5 – minusing Rydel – would be doing stuff for the band just to let people know that this tiny bump (no pun intended) they had ran into did not mean they were going off the radar as a band. They still did things that they use to before all this happened, and they even set stuff up for a fans like a few radio station visits etc.

They couldn't do more except go to places the band was invited too. It wasn't like they could play a full set of a live show when their lead singer is obviously incapable of doing so and their keyboard players in jail.

Somehow a bass, drums and one guitar wouldn't work out. Well, it could, but only if you wanted to see a really crap R5 show.

Ellington had just gotten home by himself after spending the day with Rocky and Riker, sorting out things for R5. He was supposed to be back at the apartment about two hours ago for something, but he ended up staying with the two boys and going for something to eat with them instead. He couldn't remember what he had to be back for.

But now that he was stood at the door of his and Ross's apartment, he was starting to feel nervous and scared about it. Especially since Ross's hormones have been getting worse, with him being 7 months and a half pregnant now. Those were driving Ellington up the wall. Which is mainly part of the reason why he chose to stay away from the apartment as much as he could.

He took a deep breath before opening up the door of the apartment, going in with a smile on his face in the hope it wouldn't trigger any sort of mood swings. Hopefully if Ellington stayed happy and cheerful, Ross would stay that way and not get angry or emotional for no reason. He shut the door and turned around "I'm back!" Ellington called, seeing the apartment was empty "Ross?"

Ellington stepped further into the apartment, looking around confused. He couldn't hear any sort of movement at all, which started to worry him. Ellington made his way to the bedroom slowly and opened the door, expecting to see Ross laid in bed asleep. But he wasn't.

Okay, now this was scaring him.

"Ross!" Ellington called, barging into the bathroom. Nothing.

Ellington turned around and ran back into the living room, hurrying to get his phone out of his pocket. He searched through his phone frantically and dialled his number, waiting for him to answer. That was when he heard a phone vibrating on the table. He threw his back and groaned, hanging up. Ross really needed to learn to take his phone out with him when going places.

Wow. That sounded as if I was his Dad. Eh, good practice right? Ellington thought. Ellington shook his head No. Shut up. Not the time.

As Ellington went to go dial another number, he heard keys being put into the door of the apartment and his heart finally went back to its normal pace when it opened and Ross walked through it. He breathed in relief "Oh my, God! Next time tell me when you're going out so I don't have a heart attack!" Ellington said, about to go over to him but when Ross turned around he feared for his life as it looked like Ross was about to pounce on Ellington and rip out his throat.

So instead of going closer to Ross, he took a step back. "Is everything okay..?" Ellington asked.

"Where have you been?"

"With Rocky and Riker..."

"Doing what?!"

"Sorting out band stuff..."

"Didn't you guys finish doing that like, oh, I don't know? 2 hours ago?!"

Ellington nodded, feeling scared. Ellington's afraid of a lot of things, but if he had to pick a number one fear. It was hormonal Ross. "Y-yeah... but... we were hungry and tired from er... sorting out stuff with R5, so we um... went for a bite to eat and drink... and... sorta lost track of time..." Ellington explained, he didn't know why he was crapping himself so much. It wasn't like Ross could do much to him. He can barely get up from the couch or bed by himself. "Why..?" Ellington asked, even though he knew he was daring to ask.

Ross looked thoughtful for a moment "Where were we supposed to be two hours ago?" He asked.

Ellington began to think for a moment and his mind had gone completely blank. The only thing he was thinking about was how his body would look in a casket six foot underground. He puffed his cheeks, trying to think. He exhaled and shrugged "Sorry. I don't know... Where?" Ellington asked, Ross's face dropped and if looks could kill Ellington Ratliff would be on the floor dead "was it important..?" Ellington asked again, his voice going higher in pitch this time.

"Was it important?" Ross questioned.

"It was important wasn't it..."

Ross rolled his eyes "We had to be at the hospital for a check up on Leila! Of course it was fucking important!"

"Ah," Ellington said, now starting to vaguely remember the last time Ross had told him about that appointment. Which was about twenty seconds before Ellington left this morning. "I'm sorry. I forgot. I didn't mean too, I was just so caught up in band things, and well... yeah. You know how that can be sometimes. Um, I won't do it again I promise! When's the next one?" He asked.

Ellington was treading on very thin ice.

"There isn't."

"What do you mean there isn't?" He asked.

"Exactly that! What's the point in having one when the next one is barely a few weeks before she's supposed to be born? Nothing much would have changed! There are no more appointments, so don't worry, there's nothing to be late for any more." Ross said, smiling sarcastically at him at the end of the sentence.

Ellington rocked back and forth on his heels, trying to make the atmosphere a little more lighter and less tense "S-so the only thing I have to be on time for now is when she's born?"

That was it. Ice. Broken.

Ross shook his head, bemused "You know what, if you can't be there for a simple little check up, then you might as well not even be here at all!" He walked in the direction of the bedroom, and seen as though Ellington was in his way he pushed him out of the way, making him land on the couch that was next to him.

Ellington jumped when he heard their bedroom door slam shut, and he's pretty sure he heard the door frame crack too. He sighed heavily and threw his head back. Sometimes he wishes he was still with Rydel. She was less trouble than what Ross is being right now. He knows that it's not a nice thing to be thinking when somebody else is carrying your child, but it's true.

He'd give anything to be somewhere else right now. He can't deal with it any more. The hormones, the stress. Ellington was about to lose it, and it wouldn't be pretty when he did.

Mainly because if he did lose it with Ross, Ellington's brains would be smeared all over the apartment thanks to Rocky. That isn't a sight that people would want to see.

Ellington sighed and got up off the couch and made his way to the bedroom. He opened it up and slowly peered his head round the corner, seeing Ross laid in bed with his back to the door. He went into the bedroom, closing the door, and climbed onto the bed behind Ross. He leaned over so he could see Ross's face "I'm sorry." Ellington said, kissing his shoulder seen as though he couldn't reach his cheek very well or his lips at all.

Ross sighed softly and turned around to face him "I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to overreact like that."

Ellington wrapped his arms around him, resting his chin on top of his head "It's okay. You're pregnant. You're gonna overreact at everything," He said, making Ross laugh softly. "So, who took you to the hospital if I didn't? How did you get there?" Ellington asked.

"Alexa."

Ellington rolled his eyes "Great. I'm taking it next time I see her she'll be jumping down my throat—oh my, God she's gonna tell Rocky!" he said, letting go of Ross and sitting up "I'm dead. Oh my, God."

Ross sat up next to him "Oh, relax. She won't say a thing to Rocky. Besides, what can Rocky do anyway? It's not like he can drag you to places you're supposed to be? I can do that," Ross said, making Ellington raise his brow at him "alright, maybe not as good as I used to, but I can still manage. I don't need him babying me every time you do something wrong. Even if it's only minor."

"Can you tell him that? Cos if I do one more tiny thing wrong, I don't think I'll be able to make it to Leila's birth," Ellington said, making Ross laugh "I'm being serious! I will not make it to the end of these nine months, and it'll be Rocky's fault. Slash my own."

Ross rested his chin on Ellington's shoulder and looked up at him "You'll be fine."

Ellington smiled at Ross before kissing him gently on the lips. Ross kissed him back and wrapped his arms around his neck. The kiss was deepened by Ellington and he placed his hands on Ross's hips before lying back on the bed with him, Ellington being on top. He tried his best to be gentle and not to put his full body weight on top of Ross in case he started to crush Leila. Which made Ellington begin to wonder why Ross wasn't on top.

But it was too late now.

Ross's hands ran through Ellington's hair, and just as Ellington's hands went to the button of Ross's jeans, Ross grabbed Ellington's hands "No." Ross said, immediately.

"What? Why?"

"I don't want to."

"What do you mean you do don't want to?" Ellington asked, confused "you just... I don't..."

Ross shook his head "It's not that I don't want to, I do!"

"Then c'mon!" Ellington said, about to kiss him again. Surprisingly Ross had already got him in the mood, and he wasn't about to stop now that he was half way there.

"No, Ell, the baby!"

"What about her?"

Ross rolled his eyes "Dude, if we do, do it, we're practically having sex with her in between us," Ross said, seeing by Ellington's face he didn't have a problem with it. Ross's mouth almost dropped open "If she was physically here right now, in between us, as in I'd given birth to her, would you still do it?" Ross asked, seeing Ellington looking thoughtful about it "Ellington!"

"No! No! I wouldn't! God!" Ellington rolled off him. He sighed and wiped his face "Sorry, sorry... it's just... I don't know. I haven't exactly 'done stuff' like that in a while. I guess I was getting a little bit too excited," Ellington shrugged "still. Doesn't matter. I guess I can wait another month and a half... or maybe even longer because you know... you don't know if she's gonna be late or early... and you need to recover to—Sorry, ignore me, I'm sounding like a desperate sex, crazed idiot."

Ross rubbed Ellington's arm gently "There, there. It's understandable," Ross paused "anyway. I'm gonna sleep for a little while." he said, laying back down with the covers over him.

Ross went to go rest his head on the pillow, but he saw that Ellington was in some sort of trance. He waved his hand in front of him "Ellington," Ross said, catching his attention "are you alright?" He asked.

Ellington nodded "Oh, y-yeah, I'm fine. Did you say you were going to sleep?" Ellington asked, Ross nodded "oh, erm. Okay. I'll just run to the store. We're beginning to run low on food, so... I might as well go whilst I'm doing nothing," He said, climbing off the bed "I'll be back soon. Not that you'll be awake when I get back," he kissed Ross on the lips quickly "see you later."

Ross sighed and watched as Ellington left through the door before laying down and getting comfy, ready to fall asleep.

Georgia sat at home on her couch, flicking through the channels on TV as she had nothing else better to do. None of her friends were out, and she wasn't going to go out by herself. She did that last time and it was boring as hell. She was that bored she was even starting to consider going to pay Rydel a visit in jail. But she thinks visiting hours are well over now.

They probably are.

She shrugged. It wasn't like she was desperate to see Rydel Lynch's face again anyway. She doesn't know why, but there's just always been something about Rydel that Georgia's never liked.

Georgia switched off her TV and got up to go into the kitchen to make herself something to eat. As she was about to go into the kitchen, she heard someone knocking at her door. She sighed and turned around, making her way too it. She opened it up, her brow furrowed "Ellington. What are you doing here?" Georgia asked "shouldn't you be looking after Ross?"

"He can take care of himself." Ellington said.

Georgia let him into the apartment and shut the door behind her "What are you doing here?" Georgia asked, repeating her question.

Ellington shrugged "I don't know. But... all I know is that I'm going to regret this badly, but... I'll regret it later."

Georgia cocked her head "What are y—"

Before Georgia could respond Ellington grabbed her and kissed her on the lips roughly and passionately. It didn't take long for her to push Ellington away and slap him "What are you doing?!" She shouted.

"S-sorry! Sorry! Shit! Sorry!" Ellington said, putting his head into his hands when he realised what he was about to do "it's just... I don't know. Ross is driving me up the wall and I needed to get away from it."

"Aren't you dating Ross? Oh my, God," Georgia shook her head, looking down on Ellington "I don't know why, but I was actually willing to go further with that kiss up until I remembered about you and Ross."

"I kn—" Ellington went to go respond to Georgia that confirmed about him and Ross being together, but something stopped him. Something twisted inside of him sprung to life. He lifted his head "I'm not dating Ross. W-where did you get that from?" he asked.

"I thought you guys were..."

Ellington shook his head, smiling reassuringly at her "No, no! I'm as single as the most single guy out there! Why would I want to date Ross for?" Ellington asked, laughing at the thought of that idea "that's just... stupid. I mean, I know he's carrying my baby and everything, but that was just a one night stand that should never have happened. Ever. Trust me. I've been regretting it ever since."

"Seriously..?"

Ellington nodded "Yeah!" he stepped closer to her. He pecked Georgia's lips "So... what do you say? You and me? One night and one night only."

Georgia's brow raised "You do realise when people do these one night and one night only things, it turns into a friends with benefits situation and they keep going back for more when they're bored. Right? Trust me. I know from experience."

Ellington shrugged "Then so be it. I don't care. We can have our own personal friends with benefits thing going on," he said, making Georgia seem unsure "besides, it's not like we're with anybody important. So, why should it matter?" Ellington asked.

Georgia shrugged "I don't know, Ell... it seems... dodgy. I mean, someone else is pregnant with your child. I don't want to get in the way of that."

"And you won't. Trust me. It'll be our little on and off thing. What do you say?"

Georgia sighed, after thinking about it for a little while "Alright. But if this gets out and anybody asks, for a change it wasn't my idea, and I will tell people you manipulated me into doing this!"

"Fine by me."
