Mark chuckled as he looked to his left while Arizona once again huffed and began to tap her foot, her arms defiantly crossed over her chest. "Impatient much?"
"I just don't understand why I have to be blindfolded for this surprise." Arizona lifted her head to try and peek out from under the blindfold.
"Jesus Blondie, it's literally been like two minutes. Cal just had to run around the corner to get it, relax. You're gonna love this one, trust me." The pair were standing outside of Callie's apartment building. Since Mark lived across the hall, he'd helped the two women bring their bags for their trip down and was now standing with a blindfolded Arizona, guarding her while his best friend went to get her surprise.
Turning towards the sound of Mark's voice, Arizona raised her eyebrows. As well as someone who was blindfolded could anyway. "How does everyone know about this surprise Callie has except for me?" She felt two warm hands on her exposed shoulders turn her body so she was facing what she assumed to be the street. She heard Mark chuckle again behind her.
"Just shut up, and enjoy your surprise, Blondie. It'll be awesome." He knew that word was her kryptonite by now as he said it with a smile. "Trust me." Hearing the distinct purring sound he was waiting for make its way towards them, Mark gave the short woman's shoulders one last squeeze. "That's my cue. Have fun kid; they're gonna love you." Mark left the blonde woman standing there blindfolded with a genuine goofy grin on her face at his supportive words.
Seeing Mark leave and her girlfriend remain glued to the same spot, not yet having put the sound and Mark's departure together, Callie slowly pulled into place and shut the engine to her baby off. She couldn't help the smile that spread across her face at how adorable Arizona looked standing perfectly still, clearly losing her patience with not being able to see. Before getting out, the brunette paused so she could just enjoy the sight of her girlfriend totally rocking her favorite pair of low waist jeans that had a few holes in various places from being worn everywhere throughout the years and a white wife beater tank. It was stupid how turned on the Latina got from such a simple outfit on Arizona's tight, small frame. Quietly making her way behind the blonde, Callie chuckled at the way Arizona jumped slightly when she placed her hands on slender hips. "You know…you are just too cute standing here blindfolded like this." She placed a kiss behind Arizona's ear.
"Calliope…" The hands on her hips had startled her at first, but as soon as the sexy sultry voice made its way to her ears and she felt the soft lips behind her ear a smirk appeared on Arizona's face. "Does this mean I can take this ridiculous blindfold off?" She didn't bother hiding the desperation in her voice.
"Like I said, I think it looks good on you." Callie laughed and hugged the slumping body in front of her when a child-like whine made its way out of her girlfriend. "Okay, okay I'll stop torturing you; as fun as it is. So…do you remember when we were talking about how we both love classic cars?"
"Yeeeah?" Arizona wasn't sure where this was going, but she was beyond happy when she felt Callie's hands begin to work lose the knot on her blindfold.
"Well, I might have kept a secret from you so I could surprise you with it later. And I figured since we're going to the beach, and we're just going to New York, we could take…this." Callie smiled as she heard a gasp from in front of her as she removed the blindfold.
"Hoooly…Thunderbird…" Arizona took a small step towards the light blue car, marveling in how clean and…perfect it looked. She wasn't sure how long her mouth had been hanging open, but she didn't care the closer she got to the beautiful vehicle parked in front of her.
"Good eye babe." Callie gave her girlfriend's ass a light smack.
"Hey…I know a classic when I see it." The blonde ran her hands across the top of the car and took a look at the matching light blue and cream interior. "Calliope…this car is amazing. Is it yours?" Arizona knew a car like this in such condition was not a car you could just go out and rent, her girlfriend must have been the owner.
"Since I graduated high school…"
Arizona looked back to see the far off, almost sad look in Callie's eyes and knew that her father must have bought the car for her. Callie always got that look on her face when she talked about her parents. Their abandonment wasn't a pain Callie had really dealt with and they seldom spoke of it. With a slight shake of her head, Callie looked down at Arizona with a smile. One the blonde immediately returned, wanting to keep the mood positive.
"Anyway, this is my baby…and she drives like a freaking dream. So I figured…if you want…you can drive us to New York." The brunette couldn't help but laugh as blue eyes nearly bulged out of Arizona's head and her mouth was once again hanging wide open in shock.
"M-me? Baby…are you sure?" Arizona looked back at the car, licking her lips, already feeling the vibrations of the engine under her fingers.
"I mean, do you want to?" The Latina could already see the want, no, need to drive her baby in her girlfriend's eyes as she dangled the keys in the air.
"I would love to!" Arizona jumped in the air and grabbed the keys out of Callie's hand before planting a big kiss on plump lips. "Thank you babe!"
Still laughing at her adorable girlfriend, Callie put their bags in the trunk before joining Arizona in the car, finding the blonde smiling like a fool running her hands over the dash. "Good surprise?" The brunette returned the giant smile she was met with.
"The best surprise." Leaning over, Arizona kissed Callie with all of the excitement she was feeling, leaving both of them slightly breathless. "Ever." All Arizona could do was giggle like an idiot as she turned the key and the loud purr of the classing coming to life was heard. Taking one last look at her perfect, drop dead sexy girlfriend sitting next to her, Arizona licked her lips once more, taking a moment to appreciate the sight of Callie in such a car, immediately feeling a jolt of arousal shoot through her. Her long, tan legs in the black shorts she was wearing and the expanse of her chest and arms exposed in the white spaghetti strap tank top she had on were almost unfair. She was sure she forgot how to breathe for a second as Callie let her gorgeous long black hair down and threw on her aviators, readying herself for their drive on such a gorgeous summer day, unaware of how aroused she'd just made the blonde. "Oh, you are so getting laid tonight Cal." She meant every word as she shifted the car and began their trip, ignoring her now laughing girlfriend as thoughts of how she was going to thank Callie for such an amazing surprise later running through her head.
A few hours later, Arizona looked over to her girlfriend and smiled, loving being able to take in the beautiful sleeping form of the Latina. She felt herself begin to flush as she thought of all of the things she wanted to do to that flawless body.
"I can feel you undressing me with your eyes…" A slow smirk made its way across Callie's face. She'd woken up a minute or two earlier, but upon noticing the lustful glances and reddened cheeks of her girlfriend, the brunette decided to let the blonde continue to think she was asleep, selfishly enjoying how the piercing blue eyes raking over her body made her feel.
A smirk of her own donning her face, Arizona reached over and ran a hand up and down a warm, tanned, toned thigh. "Oh, I'm doing so, so much more than that, Calliope."
Feeling a shiver as Arizona's hand continued rubbing her thigh, Callie sighed, thoroughly enjoying the heat she could feel from the blonde's fingertips. "Mmm…I bet you are…"
Arizona tried to focus on her driving and not the unbearable ache between her legs that the sexy hum from her girlfriend caused. In an attempt to control herself, she stilled her hand on Callie's knee as she spoke. "Actually, I'm glad you're awake; I was just about to wake you up anyway. We are about to hit Astoria." When they'd begun their drive, Callie gave Arizona directions on how to get to Queens and told her if she fell asleep, to just wake her up when they reached it.
Stretching her back slightly, Callie let out a small yawn and saw that they were already on Astoria Boulevard. "Okay, great. Just take this to Grand Central Parkway, and then you stay on that until you hit the L.I.E, and then just keep on driving baby."
"What exit am I waiting for?" Arizona went to school in New York City for four years and made plenty of friends who were from Long Island; she knew the Long Island Expressway well.
"Exit seventy…" Callie couldn't help her sleepy chuckle when Arizona's eyes widened and her head snapped in her direction.
"Your house is all the way out in Montauk?" The impressed smirk suddenly on plump lips at her knowledge of the exits did not go unnoticed by the blonde.
"Yeah, my uncle and father love it out there. Obviously it's a bit of a drive, having to go all the way to the end of the island, but when they want to get away, they really want to get away." Callie smiled as she remembered the times her family had spent at the beach houses her uncle and father owned.
"It's got to suck a little when they have to leave and go back to the city for business." Keeping her eyes on the road, Arizona didn't catch the almost pained expression on Callie's face as she prepared to respond.
"Well when they're here for more than pleasure, they usually just take the jet back and forth. It's only like a thirty minute ride back to Queens." Callie knew her rich cat was already out of the bag, after all, they were currently driving in her incredibly expensive graduation present, going to her uncle's giant beach house on their private beach. Be that as it may, she still hated talking about things that made it clear just how wealthy her family was. Like their personal jet. Well, jets, but she wasn't about to bring that specific detail up.
Arizona was quick to hear the hesitation in her girlfriend's voice, which made it easy to assume the jet she spoke of belonged to the Torres family personally. Even though Arizona had profusely assured Callie that her family's wealth meant nothing to her, she knew it was still a subject that made the brunette uncomfortable. "He must love not having to make that drive. I would hate to leave the beach to sit in a car for two hours to go to work, only to have to do it again after working just to get back to the beach." The blonde could see in her peripheral that Callie was visibly grateful that she didn't make a big deal about the jet. Reaching over to grasp a tan hand, Arizona brought it to her lips and kissed the back of it before looking over to her gorgeous girlfriend and sending her a reassuring wink. No more needed to be said on the subject and the two women fell into a comfortable silence as Arizona continued their drive.
After spending another two hours on the road, Arizona finally pulled the Thunderbird off of the L.I.E and began following her girlfriend's directions to the beach house, her nerves becoming more noticeable the closer they got to their destination. Her nerves only grew once they pulled down the long driveway that led to the Torres' beach house. Or beach mansion as Arizona thought it should have been described. The fact that they had to punch in a code to open a huge privacy gate should have been a warning for her. She felt her mouth hanging open as she took in the beautiful house before her. The winding, circular, stone driveway ended in front of a cream colored mansion with gorgeous wooden and stone columns holding up the several balconies that could be seen from this side of the house. The blonde followed her girlfriend's direction to pull into one of four open garage doors, but was not fully paying attention to anything else the brunette had to say. The gorgeous landscaping of palm trees and various other delightfully colorful plants swaying in the sea breeze made the entire property of the house all the more stunning. She could only imagine what it looked like on the inside.
Noticing first her girlfriend's nervous energy and then her absolute shock, Callie couldn't help but smile at her, loving how adorable Arizona was without even trying. "Like what you see, babe?" She playfully placed her fingers under a fair chin to help Arizona close her still gaping mouth as she helped her out of the car.
"Calliope…this place is beautiful…" Arizona really couldn't come up with the words to describe what she thought of the place. She'd been on vacations that weren't as nice as where she found herself in that moment. "I don't even know what to say…"
Laughing, Callie gave Arizona a quick kiss before grabbing her hand to lead her out of the garage. "Well then don't say anything. Besides, Uncle Berto and Aria probably know we're here now, so you'll have plenty of talking to do in just a second." Feeling her girlfriend's body tense beside her, Callie stopped their movements and turned Arizona so they were facing each other, placing both of her hands on strong shoulders. "You nervous?"
"Nervous? Me?" Arizona tried for a second to play it off, even though her heart was about to beat out of her chest. She'd never really met a girl's family like this, and she completely underestimated how much pressure she'd feel for them to like her. And this was no normal girl, after all. It was Calliope. Someone she'd quickly grown to care for more than anyone else she'd ever been with, and she really didn't want to mess this up. Looking into the dark eyes of her girlfriend, Arizona could see that Callie was already calling bullshit on her attempt to kill her nerves. "Am I really that obvious?" The genuine smile that spread across plump lips helped Arizona calm down slightly.
"Only to me, but don't worry…they are going to love you." Callie ran her hands up and down Arizona's arms, trying to soothe the shorter woman's nerves. It warmed Callie's heart that Arizona was so nervous to meet her family. She wasn't worried in the slightest that the blonde would charm the pants off of her uncle and sister, but the fact that she cared enough to even be this nervous about it meant the world to Callie.
"You really think so?" Arizona genuinely needed the reassurance in that moment, which was not something she was used to.
"I just know it." Giving her girlfriend a knowing wink and a smack on the butt, Callie turned in time to see the front door of the house open, and her sister appear on the front porch. "But there is only one way to find out, right?" She couldn't hide the huge smile that spread across her face as her sister began walking towards them. She hadn't actually seen Aria in person in forever. Grabbing Arizona's hand again, she began to quickly walk them in the direction of her sister, laughing at the pure excitement she saw on the features that so closely matched her own.
"Hey big sister, it's so good to finally see you!" Aria wrapped her arms around Callie and squeezed her tight, loving anytime she got to see her sister in person.
Arizona smiled as she watched the sisters reunite. Aria was a little shorter than Callie and slimmer, but other than that, they were carbon copies of each other. Both had perfectly tanned, toned, curvy bodies and long silky black hair which framed an impossibly friendly face that housed deep, dark brown eyes that spoke for themselves in any situation. She began to hold her hand out as the younger Torres turned in her direction, but it was quickly swept aside as she was pulled in for a hug as well. She couldn't help but smile as she relaxed into the genuine hug her girlfriend's sister gave her.
"It's so great to meet you in person, Arizona! I'm so happy you guys are here! We're gonna have so much fun!" Aria bounced on the balls of her feet, unable to hide her excitement.
Feeling her own excitement increase at how bubbly and happy Aria seemed to be, Arizona couldn't help but laugh and swing her arm over the younger woman's shoulders, feeling her nerves disappear. "Aria, I can already tell we are going to get along fantastically. Calliope always rolls her eyes at me when I get this excited about stuff…" Stealing a glance at her now eye rolling girlfriend, Arizona sent her a wink.
"Girl, you and I have that in common. Cal over here was never as excitable as I was when we were younger, and I can see that still hasn't changed." Aria started to laugh at her now scoffing older sister.
"What need do I have to get so excited and…bouncy? That's what I have you two for. Between the two of you, that's all the excitable energy I'll ever need." Callie turned back towards the car. "Rye, why don't you take your new best friend over there inside and I'll get our bags."
"Babe, you don't have to get those by yourself, I can help you." Arizona began to follow her girlfriend, not wanting to make Callie carry their bags alone, but was stopped by her girlfriend's gentle shove on her hips after giving her a quick kiss and a wink of her own.
"Don't worry about it Sweets, you drove the whole way here, I can get the bags." Still seeing the hesitation in blue eyes, Callie smiled and gave soft pink lips another quick kiss. "Go ahead, let Rye show you the house, she loves it. Make yourself at home, I'll be right behind you." Turning the shorter woman around and giving her a small pat on the butt, Callie went to the garage to grab the bags.
Aria watched the interaction between the two, noticing the big, genuine smile on her sister's face. She couldn't help the small grin that began to adorn her own face, not being able to remember the last time she saw her sister so relaxed and happy. She had a feeling this Arizona just might actually be every bit as special as Callie said she was. Smiling as the blonde turned back around to her, Aria linked arms with Arizona as they made their way to the house. "C'mon chick, I'll show you the digs."
Walking through the front door, Arizona's breath was nearly taken away. The entire first level of the house was spacious and open. The walls were white and had many "windows" cut into them, making it possible to look into every room at once. The doors to the giant deck and beachfront view were open, making the sea breeze come right through the house, the sheer linens that hung in the doorways lightly swaying back and forth. Stepping into the living room, Arizona looked up at the sky viewing ceiling, lighting up the whole room which she had to step down into upon entering. The huge white wrap around couch looked like it could sleep twenty people. She took a deep breath of the clean, ocean air smell, immediately loving the house. The whole thing was so obviously made for comfort, every single item and design in the house chosen specifically to make you feel relaxed and comfy. "This place is amazing…"
"My uncle has amazing taste." Aria smiled at the goofy happy look on Arizona's face as she took in the house around her. She herself had a similar reaction after their uncle had shown her the house once it'd been built. From then on, it was her absolute favorite place to be and she visited whenever she was able. Aria could already see why Callie told her she would like Arizona so much. The blonde's friendly, bubbly energy was similar to her own, but Aria could see in the striking blue eyes of the other woman that there was also an intense seriousness housed inside that small frame. She could see what had her sister completely enamored. "My sister seems really happy…" She felt compelled to let the blonde know, knowing that she had to be the reason behind it. Plus, Aria just liked seeing people's reaction to things, she couldn't help herself. As bright blue eyes met her own, Aria couldn't help but smile wider at the hopefully happy look in them; she was not disappointed at the reaction she received.
"Really?" Smiling to herself as she thought about her girlfriend. "I hope so…she makes me happy, so…" Not really knowing what else to say, Arizona looked up and felt relief, the smile on the brunette's face looking back at her let her know she didn't really need to say more. She could see that the younger Torres also had her sister's uncanny ability to read and understand people without needing words.
Callie walked into the house with their bags, setting them down in front of the stairs that were off to the side of the front foyer. "Where's uncle Berto?"
"He said something about having some errands to run and that he'd be back for dinner. You guys want to hang out by the pool until then? We could crack open the liquor cabinet?" The younger Torres mischievously wiggled her eyebrows at the other two.
Callie locked eyes with Arizona whose eyebrows were raised in question while a small smirked played at the corner of her mouth, indicating her choice. Callie cocked her eyebrow so subtly, it was almost imperceptible in response before turning back to her sister. "That sounds like a plan."
While the three spent time lounging and drinking by the pool, Aria was able to see even more how much she liked Callie's new girlfriend. Her older sister always made a reputation for herself for being a badass, being tough, but few knew as well as Aria just how much of a romantic and how sensitive her sister could be; the older Torres always hid that side of herself well. Aria could see in the way that Arizona looked at Callie that she was entirely aware of this side of her sister; the dreamy, caring blue eyes that followed Callie's every move; the smallest hint of a smile constantly fixed on pink lips, suggestions of the care with which Arizona used with her big sister. The petite woman had a wit and playful streak that could match anyone's but she was so sweet with the taller brunette that it made Aria smile. Taking a sip of the margarita in front of her, Aria decided to speak her mind, as she often did. "I like you so much more than Callie's last girlfriend, it's not even funny." Aria saw the slight look of shock creep out of the blue eyes across from her, but it was quickly replaced with appreciation.
"Is that so?" Arizona glanced over to Callie with a playful twinkle in her eyes. "This is…Erica you're talking about?" The uncomfortable look on her girlfriend's face at the name did not go unnoticed by Arizona. She knew Callie still felt a wave of insecurities anytime that particular part of her past was brought up, although, she secretly (and a bit selfishly) liked hearing from the younger Torres that she was the preferred partner for Calliope.
"Yeah…what a freaking bitch." The younger brunette took her straw out of her drink and tipped the cup over, finishing the margarita, almost choking when she heard the raised voice of her sister.
"Aria! Can we not get into that right now? We just got here." Not that she was still hung up on Erica or anything, but just talking about that whole situation had a way of making Callie feel worthless real quick.
"What, Cal? She wasn't nice at all. To anyone. Especially you. All I'm trying to say is how great I think Arizona here is and I'm happy you're with someone who is so sweet to you for a change. Sue me for thinking my big sister deserves some happiness after all the crap you've been through…" Aria's voice got soft at the end of her sentence. She knew her big sister hated talking about her past mistakes, but she really did just want Callie to know that she could see how happy she was and how different Arizona seemed to be from the people of her past.
Callie couldn't help the warm feeling and the slight blush at her sister's words. She felt all of her annoyance and feelings of worthlessness melt away as she felt soft fingers close around her hand while she looked next to her into the smiling, dimpled face of perfection.
Arizona didn't break eye contact with Callie while she ran her fingers over the top of a smooth tan hand and responded to Aria's words with the truth. "She makes it really easy." And Callie really did. Arizona found it slightly amusing that Aria was pointing out how good she was to Callie when it was Callie who was amazing to her. Arizona knew she would have lost her mind weeks ago if it hadn't been for the brunette sitting next to her. She was quickly starting to believe more and more that Callie's breathtaking smile and gentle touch was all Arizona would ever need to be happy. She could feel her smile grow without a care the longer she maintained eye contact with the endlessly telling brown eyes next to her. Raking her eyes down the long, tanned body of her girlfriend, Arizona began to feel her mouth go dry at the sight. The barely there red bikini showed off every curve of Callie's body splendidly an Arizona could already see all of the wonderfully dirty things she was going to do to it later.
"That being said, you two are going to have to get your eye fucking under control because I am not about to spend the week trying to figure out what disgusting thing Zo over here is doing to you in her head." A smug smile was plastered on Aria's face as she spoke, knowing exactly what the look in Arizona's eyes meant.
Arizona couldn't have held in her laugh if she'd wanted to. Callie's sister had an in-your-face, put it all out there way of talking that reminded Arizona of Tim. You never really knew what was going to come flying out of their mouths, and Arizona loved it. The bug-eyed expression of her girlfriend didn't help her hold back her laughter that was for sure.
"Seriously? Honestly Rye, you can be so crude sometimes…" Callie huffed as she finished off her drink.
"Ooh, baby…" Arizona stood up and walked behind Callie, placing her hands on her shoulders before running them down muscular arms as she bent down to Callie's ear. "Don't act like you aren't crude sometimes too. Besides…" She briefly nibbled Callie's earlobe before continuing, smiling at the slight shiver she felt run through the body under her hands. "Your sister wasn't really wrong…" With that, Arizona turned and made her way to the pool and dove right in, leaving Callie with her mouth hanging open slightly in shock and arousal and Aria, once again, laughing uncontrollably.
"Oh, I really like her sis; she's fantastic!" Aria could tell that Arizona would have no problems keeping her sister on her toes. It took a very special person to keep up with Calliope Torres, after all. The younger Torres stood and walked over to the pool-side bar to grab the tequila and a few shot glasses.
Callie smiled as she accepted the glass from her sister, incredibly happy that Aria and Arizona seemed to be so fond of each other so quickly. "She's pretty great, right? Berto will like her you think?"
"Oh my gosh, he'll love her, are you kidding? He'll think she's adorable."
The two sisters clinked glasses before throwing their shots back. Aria continued to speak for a second when they placed their glasses back on the table, but Callie was gone. Her attention was completely focused on the petite blonde climbing out of the pool.
Callie felt a surge of excitement shoot through her body as she watched the dripping body of one Arizona Robbins pull itself out of the pool. The muscles in her arms, then core, and finally legs pulsed with every move. Each part of her body was easily visible in her low-cut, black, cut-out sides swimsuit. It was all Callie could do to keep from drooling.
Arizona made her way back to the sisters at the table just as Aria was beginning to snap her fingers in front of the elder brunette's face, confirming to Arizona the look she thought she was receiving from Callie. She finished her walk with a little more sway to her hips than she began and a smug smile on her face.
"Earth. To. Cal! I swear, you two are freaking hopeless." Aria tried to sound annoyed, but she couldn't hide the smile on her face and the playful look in her eyes.
"Afraid so, sis. Now, shut up and keep pouring. Babe?" Callie turned to her sexy girlfriend, gesturing at the liquor and shot glasses as she sat down next to her.
"Yes please!"
The girls continued to drink and joke around with each other out by the pool until the sun began to threaten to set. They were so lost in their conversation and laughter that all three were completely ignorant to the figure making its way through the house, out to them on the deck.
"I can see you beautiful ladies have chosen to start the party without me…"
The sudden and unexpected presence of a very deep male voice caused Arizona to jump slightly as she turned to face its owner. Arizona thought to herself that deep, soulful brown eyes must just be a Torres trait as she took in the man who was clearly her girlfriends uncle standing before them. He was tall, tan, and clearly in shape; his light button up and jeans hugging his figure in a perfect fit. His hair was clean cut and she could tell was held in place with a little bit of product. He seemed to have the perfect salt and pepper coloring to his hair and a warm, inviting smile.
"Uncle Berto." Arizona could hear the happiness in Callie's voice as she stood up to greet her uncle. "It's so good to see you."
Berto wrapped Callie up in a warm hug and she smiled as she inhaled his familiar comforting scent of his minty-clean aftershave and tobacco.
"Mi Lucero, I've missed you. How have you been? You look beautiful." Berto cupped Callie's face as he took in the appearance of his beloved niece, smiling at how happy she seemed.
Callie smiled; she hadn't realized how much she missed her uncle until that very moment. "I've been good. I've missed you guys so much.
Keeping an arm around Callie's shoulders, Berto winked at her and turned them back towards the table. "Well I heard that there is someone I need to meet, so why don't you introduce me to your lovely guest my dear."
Arizona stood up, nervously running her hands through her hair, eliciting a small giggle form Aria as she sat back and watched. Feeling bad for her adorably nervous girlfriend, Callie left her uncle's embrace and wrapped her own arm around Arizona's back, resting her hand on a slim hip as they faced her uncle. "Uncle Berto, this is my girlfriend, Arizona." She looked next to her, locking eyes with Arizona's bright blues and smiled. "Babe, this is my uncle Berto."
Turning to Berto, Arizona held out her hand and gave her best Robbins smile, letting her dimples work their magic. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." The genuine smile she received instantly calmed her nerves.
"The pleasure is all mine, I assure you, Arizona. It is wonderful to finally meet you, I have heard nothing but great things from Callie about you. Please, you can call me Berto."
His deep, gravelly voice intrigued Arizona. It kind of reminded her of Antonia Banderas; very pleasing to the ears; smooth as butter. Between his kind words and his firm handshake, Arizona felt completely at ease. She could see why the two sisters were so fond of their uncle. "Well Berto, I must say that I love you house here. It's beautiful." The blonde gestured around her at the house that she'd already fallen in love with.
"Thank you very much; I put a lot of thought into this place and I have to say that I am quite fond of it as well. I wish I could live here all year, but unfortunately I must stay in Miami for business." The tall man rubbed the back of his head with a sigh.
"Which I'm sure is so hard." Aria smiled lovingly at her uncle after her playfully sarcastic input.
Callie, Arizona, and Berto sat back down at the table, Berto flicking Aria on the nose as he took the empty seat next to her. "Always so fresh."
Aria shrugged. "You love me, Uncle B."
"This is all too true, my dear." He laughed lightheartedly at his niece before turning to the other two. "So ladies, what do you plan to do here on your vacation?"
Turning to Arizona, Callie shrugged and took her hand under the table as the two shared loving smiles with each other. "I don't know; we hadn't really made any plans. I think we're just going to relax and wing it? Definitely spend lots of time on the beach." If Callie had her way, Arizona would spend the entirety of their vacation either in a swimsuit or completely naked.
"Oh, I meant to tell you Cal; I met some friends for lunch in the city the other day, and I ran into Addison. I told her you guys were coming and she said we should all get together in the city sometime." Aria poured everyone another shot as she spoke.
"Yeah that might be fun. What do you say babe? Wanna go to the city one day?"
Even though she'd really only just left New York, Arizona felt like it'd been forever since she'd been there. "Absolutely, I'm down for that."
"I have some business in the city the day after tomorrow if you all would like to fly in together." Berto placed his phone on the table after checking his schedule to make sure.
"That sounds great, I'll call Addie later tonight." Callie threw back another shot. She was so happy to have Arizona and her uncle and her sister around her at the same time. It made the sting of the absence of her parents hurt a little less. She felt Arizona squeeze her hand and when she looked over into those beautifully deep blue eyes she felt the warmth of her genuine happiness of the moment spread-out over her entire body.
Arizona could stare into Callie's eyes all day and never grow tired of them. She could see the happiness Callie was feeling pouring out of them and it only made her smile grow wider. This woman was amazing and Arizona could barely recall how she could have ever been without her. Such thoughts scared the shit out of her most days; after all, they'd only been together for a short period of time. All the same, the thought of not having Calliope to think about all of the time scared her even more. Arizona was broken from her daze as she heard a frustrated sigh from Berto behind the bar.
"I will say, the one thing this place does not have…Caesar."
Arizona laughed as identical groans erupted from the Torres sisters.
"Oh God…" Callie rubbed her forehead.
"Here we go…" Aria threw her hands in the air.
"What?" Berto feigned feeling insulted. "Don't give me that girls; you know I need them." The tall man looked down sadly at his bar.
"Need what?" Arizona looked at all three with confusion written on her face.
"Caesar is my favorite bartender at my favorite restaurant of ours in Miami and he makes the-"
"The most spectacular mojitos and when I'm out of town, I can never find one as good." The sisters simultaneously finished Berto's statement before all three girls began to laugh, their alcohol consumption making them giddy.
"Oh sure, poke fun, but a man cannot really enjoy himself unless he has his favorite beverage." Berto's face became even sadder than before.
Getting her laughter under control and standing, Arizona made her way over to Berto at the bar. "May I?" She gestured to the bar supplies in front of him. Berto glanced at her with a slightly confused look on his face with made Arizona giggle a bit more. "My last couple of years in college I bartended a few nights a week. I got pretty good at it; I bet I could take a crack at making your kind of mojito."
Berto smiled and stepped aside as Arizona winked at him, gesturing to the bar. "Please, be my guest Arizona."
Callie watched as Arizona quickly went about fixing Berto's drink, completely enamored with what she saw. The way Arizona's hands smoothly went about crushing up mint and pouring liquor made Callie have to remind herself that she was in mixed company. "I didn't know you were a bartender…" Callie was pretty much involuntarily thinking out loud, she was so turned on suddenly.
Without missing a beat or stopping anything she was doing, Arizona looked up at Callie and winked. "Well there are still some things you have to learn about me Calliope."
Hearing this blonde bombshell bartender say her full name made Callie's brain go completely numb and it remained that way until a swift kick from a snickering Aria under the table brought her back.
Callie was making it very difficult for the blonde to behave herself when she kept throwing those looks her way. The alcohol already running through her system only exacerbated things. It almost made her lose concentration on what had to of been the best mojito she'd ever made. Almost. Finishing the drink, Arizona handed it to Berto and leaned back against the bar, waiting for the verdict.
Berto slowly took a sip an immediately closed his eyes and smiled as he hummed. "Oh my…esto es magnífico!" Putting the drink down, Berto pulled Arizona into a big hug. "I'm so pleased, I could cry. Sincerely." Turning back to look at his radiantly smiling niece, Berto couldn't hide his delight. "Lucero, you must keep this one around, she is incredibly special."
Standing, Callie wrapped Arizona up in her own hug. "You aren't telling me anything I didn't already know Uncle B."
The rest of the night went much as it began; all of them just relaxing and enjoying each other's company. They went inside to have their dinner of ordered pizza and went back outside to the fire pit by the beach and drank and laughed until they all decided it was time to turn in.
Upon entering their room, Callie pulled Arizona's body close to hers, connecting their lips in a kiss she'd been waiting hours for. "You bartending? Incredibly. Hot."
Catching her breath from Callie's kiss, one side of Arizona's mouth turned up in a sexy smirk. "Ooh really? Well, I'll have to remember that." Arizona leaned in and began sucking on Callie's pulse point, smiling at the slight groan it produced. "Like I said Calliope, there are some things you've yet to learn about me…" Arizona let out a yelp and giggle as Callie spun them around and pushed her on the bed, falling next to and slightly on top of her, plump lips only inches from her own. She could smell Callie's breath, slightly laced with tequila wash over her and it was completely intoxicating. A surge of excitement made its way to her center almost immediately.
"Oh, I have a feeling there are going to be plenty of days ahead where you surprise me. I can't wait. You're amazing. And my family loved you." Smiling at the blush quickly forming on Arizona's face at her words, she leaned in and gave pink lips a kiss filled with all the sweetness in the world. "Thank you for coming here with me. It means a lot. I'm sure this isn't the easiest thing for you to do, but I really appreciate you doing it for me." She didn't think she'd be able to convey just how much Arizona meeting her sister and uncle meant to Callie. She knew Arizona was uneasy about relationships, and meeting family members surely went along with that, plus everything happening with Tim, but the blonde had never once faltered in her assurances that she wanted to be here, to do this for Callie and that made the brunette's heart soar.
Cupping the Latina's face, Arizona looked directly up into beautiful brown eyes and smiled. "Not that meeting members of your family is any sort of imposition, but I'd do anything for you, Calliope. I hope you know that." It was as close to her actual feelings as she could get at the moment. She needed just a little more time to be ready to say such things out loud, but the look Callie was suddenly giving her made her feel like the brunette was reading through the words and right into her mind and already knew. Not knowing what else to say that wouldn't ruin the nice moment they'd just shared, Arizona pulled Callie back down into an even more heated kiss and rolled them over so that she was the one on top. Seeing a perfectly sculpted eyebrow kink in the sexiest of ways up at her, Arizona knew that Callie had welcomed the, for all intents and purposes, subject change. "How about I show you how much I loved my surprise this morning?" The blonde suggestively wiggled her eyebrows and she inched her hand down the brunette's body towards her center.
"I've got no objections to that." Callie gasped as Arizona's hand cupped her and applied the perfect amount of pressure.
Leaning down to whisper in Callie's ear, Arizona smiled at the reaction she was already receiving. "Good."
The two spend the rest of the night worshiping each other's bodies; caught somewhere in between the light and fun, acrobatic sex they were used to having and something that was slowing turning into more, as if their bodies were trying to convey something that neither woman was prepared to put into words just yet.
Sorry guys, but after the last update, I experienced the worst case of writer's block that I've ever had. I had to take a step back for a little bit. Forgive me!
