Now this is the part where I normally blather on about my excuse as to why I've not posted a chapter in so long but you guys deserve better than that, I am sorry and there is no excuse. Now to anyone who may have not like the way I portrayed Whitney, the first Pokémon game I played when I was little was Silver, and I absolutely hated how difficult her Miltank and it's rollout was, then in Soul Silver when Suddenly Miltank can affect ghost types with normal moves I hated it even more, so there is a long lasting hatred I have toward Whitney. Oh Alice is currently very ill right now so we have a surprise guest acting as temporary beta.
Chapter 20 – Unexpected family reunion
After the exhausting encounter at the Goldenrod gym, the travelling group decided to meet at the hotel lobby.
"Stupid brat is she even allowed to do that?"
Questioned an exasperated Nicole.
"Technically as she has ownership of the gym she is allowed to ban people from entering it, the only thing she can't do is deny you an official gym battle and award you a badge, but seeing as you won already until she is no longer gym leader you are by law not allowed through those doors, but then again I'd just be happy that she actually gave you the badge."
Explained Bugsy. Throughout the conversation Maisy remained surprisingly quiet, staring out the front doors of the hotel with a questioning look on her face. Catching the redhead's attention.
"Hey Maisy are you ok, what are you lookin…"
Nicole's sentence is cut off when she lays eyes on what Maisy has been staring at the whole time. A teenager is standing in the doorway just staring at the group with a big stupid grin on his face. Suddenly the teen yells Nicole's name and runs full speed at her before tackling her into unconsciousness.
*10 minutes later*
The feeling of cold water being splashed onto Nicole's face wakes her up coughing and spluttering, Maisy runs and hugs Nicole with tears in her eyes.
"Oh thank God you're ok I was so worried"
Looking over Maisy's shoulder Nicole glared at the teen holding a dripping empty bottle of water, looking him up and down, his similarities to her irritating her even further, starting with his shoulder length red hair and blue eyes even down to his height and the way he dresses. At this point he decided to speak up, turning his head studying Maisy.
"So… you must be Nic's new conquest, hmm my guess is that you might last a few days longer than all the others considering she took you all the way to Goldenrod, but really Nic I'm disappointed in you, She hardly looks 15 you should be ashamed of taking this girl's purity"
At this point Maisy was seriously angry and offended that this complete stranger was making comments like that and brought her hand round in an arc to slap him yelling
"Bastard!"
but was surprised when he caught her hand and pulled her close to his body.
"Oh she's feisty I can see why Nic likes you, hey twin-tails how about when Nic is finished with you why don't you come with me I'm sure I could show you a better time than my cousin ever could she doesn't really have the parts for it"
Maisy just kicked him in the groin and rushed back to Nicole's seething form. The redheaded boy bend over in pain taking a deep breath before declaring.
"That's Ok I'm not really into girls anyway"
"Hey I'm back is Nicole feeling any better"
Said Bugsy oblivious to the situation. Before getting grabbed around the waist and having the new boy's hand tangled in his hair and being pulled flush against him.
"Now you are more my type, although I've never been with a gym leader before, I guess it's always good to have new experiences"
Bugsy's face flushed red at the comment and despite telling himself he's straight in his head, he couldn't deny the appeal this man presented to him, it wasn't until he felt something large rub against his thigh that he squeaked and broke free of the man's hold rushing back to Nicole.
"What the fuck are you doing here Neil?!"
Said a furious looking Nicole. The redheaded boy turned towards Nicole, and spread his arms.
"Aww what's wrong little Nicki, can't cousins visit each other every once in a while, and also your reaction times seem to have slowed down if you really couldn't see me coming earlier in the lobby, we used to test each other every time we saw each other"
"Yeah that was back when we were little kids!"
Exclaimed Nicole. Neil walked up to Nicole Before leaning around her and winking at Bugsy who just blushed. Nicole pulled Neil back and looked him in the eyes.
"Like I said what the fuck are you doing here? I know for a fact that you would never visit me if you had the choice"
Neil's smile then dropped and he then said
"Well that's where you're right Nic, I loathe whenever I have to come and visit you, it's creepy, you act and look too much like a female me, but I've just been exploring the Kalos region, and Dad's been working alongside a Professor Sicky-something"
Bugsy then decided to speak up
"um… I think you mean Sycamore"
Neil then smiled over at Bugsy
"That's it, thanks cutie"
Neil then composed himself and said towards his cousin
"The point Dad thinks you, of all people, deserve a megastone"
"A megastone?"
Questioned Nicole. Neil sighed then fished out a pendant and chain underneath his shirt, before in the middle of the street pulling out a pokeball and releasing an aerodactyl, the Pokemon let out a deafening roar, Neil turned towards Nicole again.
"So Nic, you remember Aero don't you"
Nicole simply nodded, she was never comfortable around the aerodactyl and Neil knew it.
"What if I told you I can make Aero here temporarily evolve?"
"What are you talking about, Aerodactyl's can't evolve"
Even Bugsy and Maisy were looking intrigued at this point, Neil simply smirked and pressed a shiny looking stone gently into the Pokemons forehead both his pendant and the Aerodactyl started glowing, everyone apart from neil who was smiling were looking on in awe jagged spikes were pushing themselves out of the Pokemon's skin and it grew in height by a full metre, once the transformation had taking place Aero's eyes were a more vivid blue and almost felt as though they were piercing Nicole's soul, a low grumble sounding almost as loud as an earthquake came from the throat of the new Aero.
"So Nic what do you think of mega evolution?"
"It's… intense"
Gulped Nicole, Neil then laughed under his breath.
"Firstly I'd like to apologise to Maisy I was just joking earlier"
"Wait, how do you know my name?"
"Didn't you know? Nic wrote about you in almost every letter she sent to Dad, she went into great detail, she sounded absolutely smitten by you, I'm guessing this thing you two have got going is long-term?"
Nicole and Maisy just held hands and smiled at each other. Neil just smiled and said
"Well that answers that question I've also been instructed to give you a mega pendant and a megastone for each Pokemon you have that can use one, although we have ran out of Megastones for Slowbro's, sorry, but we do have Heracross."
Nicole then spoke up
"Um, do Gengar or Dragonite have megastones?"
"Oh you have a Ghastly?"
"Well actually she evolved yesterday"
"Congratulations, yeah we have a Gengar stone not one for Dragonite though, although I am surprised to learn that Bugsy is travelling with you however we do have a stone for a Scizor and a spare pendant if he'd like one"
Bugsy's eyes lit up at the prospect and he said
"Thank you very much"
But Neil held his hand back and said
"On one condition. I want a kiss from Bugsy, and I mean a proper kiss on the lips"
Bugsy then blushed madly, and looked at his shoes, before looking at Neil's smiling face, before nodding and moving into the redhead's arms Bugsy slowly moved his face towards Neil's before Neil captured his lips in a searing kiss, Bugsy soon realised he'd just given up his first kiss to another boy, and not only that but he is enjoying it, especially with Neil's tongue at his lips asking for entrance, Bugsy gave in to the older boy's wishes and as their tongues entwined with the other Bugsy gave off a series of cute moans. It was at this point that the two girls watching mouths agape shook there heads and Nicole yelled in public.
"Oi lovebirds get a room!"
At this point Bugsy pulled away embarrassed and blushing the deepest shade of red he's ever been, thinking that he's been denying himself all these years, especially considering how this boy has been making him feel. Neil simply chuckled before taking Bugsy's face in his hands, slipping his hands behind Bugsy's neck and attaching the pendant on a chain around Bugsy's neck, before giving Bugsy a peck on the lips before whispering
"See you around cutie"
then walking off into the crowd of Goldenrod citizens, Bugsy gently touched the pendant closed his eyes and smiled before walking over to the girls, Nicole spoke up first
"So Buggy you look happy, have you discovered something about yourself"
Maisy poked Nicole in the side
"I'm just glad you're happy Bugsy"
"Thanks Maisy"
Whispered Bugsy, before Maisy then asked Nicole
"Although I do worry, how old is Neil, especially considering Bugsy is only 14"
Bugsy then looked very worried at the idea that Neil might get into trouble, Nicole simply laughed and said
"Don't worry Neil is only 16, he's just annoyingly tall. It is interesting though it looks like our adventure has taken a whole new turn"
Said Nicole while staring at the pendant in her hand.
Naomi: Well that took longer than expected, but then again we've never really gotten on well when working together have we
Niall: No not really, but do you really expect me to agree with anything my older sister tells me?
Naomi: Oh well, but that character Neil made me uncomfortable, I know I said you could come up with his character, but you didn't have to make him a carbon copy of yourself
Niall: Well I liked him, I also based all of his interactions with Bugsy off of my interactions with Sam
Naomi: What are you two boys still a thing?
Niall: yes we are thanks for the concern bitch, seriously how does Ali put up with you
Naomi: Well I don't know how Sam puts up with you never calling someone by their actual name
Niall: What don't you like your old nickname Nay-Nay, Ali doesn't mind hers you're just a whiney bitch
Naomi: get back here you bastard
Niall: What's wrong Nay-Nay can't catch me? Must be too many video games
Naomi: Fuck off!
Alice: WOULD YOU TWO SHUT UP, SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP OFF AN ILLNESS
Niall: Sorry Ali
Naomi: Oh go shove a dick up your arse!
Niall: It actually feels quite good you should try it yourself sometime
Naomi: I give up
