Daniel Darkrai didn't respond, all I heard was the cries of human and Pokemon alike, I heard several sets of paws walking over to me. A big paw prodded me.

"Picasso?"

"Whu?" I muttered weakly. My eyes creaked open and I noticed we weren't in Anistar City, in front of me was Kissy's new litter, Rachel's, and a unrecognizable Purrloin in front of me.

"What in God's name happened?" I growled, "How did we end up here?".

"Well, we're in Lumiose City now" Rabbit explained, "What happened was-"

"The ground split!" Owl interrupted, "Me and my siblings fell into the snow and some huge force blew us away to Lumiose City where we found these Espurr standing over your body in the midst of destruction!".

"That about sums it up" The female Purrloin sighed, "I'm Tortoise, my parents we're asleep when I was born, cause of Daniel Darkrai".

I froze, this was the Purrloin egg that Cloud and Jaguar raised before being caught in the Nightmare!

"What do we do now?" Kim snapped.

"Look for shelter" Chestnut replied before helping her lame-legged brother through the street. Owl threw me over his shoulder and we proceeded to walk through the destruction.

Fires were blazing through the shattered towers. A women was crying the names of her loved ones while Pokemon searched desperately for their owners.

We found what used to be a cafe and hid under a table, avoiding the shattered glass.

"NO! Diantha!"

What? As in the champion of Kalos herself?

"Owl, take me to the voice, Chestnut, watch the others"

Chestnut's chest ruffled with pride as she stood protectively over her fellow peers.

I remained on Owl's back as he sprinted to a Tyrantrum wailing at a body. A Hawlucha, Aurorus, Gourgeist, Goodra, and Gardevoir were also at the T-Rex Pokemon's side.

I flicked my tail to tell Owl to walka little closer, but when we did so, the Tyrantrum swung his head up at us as roared.

"Please don't harm us!" Owl begged, "We wanted to see who...died".

"Our mother" the Tyrantrum wailed.

"She's not biologically our mother" the Goodra whimpered.

"But she's all we've known" the Aurorus cried, "When I was born, the first thing I saw was her".

The Goodra rolled the body towards us, a piece of metal was impaled in her chest, her face was almost unrecognizable cause of the soot that covered it.

It was indeed Diantha, the champion of Kalos.

"What's happening?!" Owl whimpered as a huge green tail slammed a tower far away from us.

"Rayquaza" Hawlucha gasped in awe, "She is angry".

She?

"Yveltal has made her mad" Gardevoir whispered, "She lost her home in Hoenn to a construction crew of humans and she tried to settle in Kalos".

"Which was clearly a big mistake" Gourgeist added, "Yveltal won't rest till she's gone or dead".

"LOOK OUT!" Suddenly, the Tyrantrum threw himself in front of me and Owl and winced as a pole hit his skull. The Tyrantrum took the pole in his jaws and flung it away from the others.

"It's not safe here" The Tyrantrum growled, "Me must get out of this city".

"NO! But what about our mother?!" the Hawlucha wailed. The Tyrantrum grabbed the flailing Hawlucha in his jaws and walked in the path of destruction, the rest of Diantha's Pokemon followed with their heads low and their tails drooping.

Owl stood in silence, staring horrified at the mutilated body. I patted his shoulder.

"C'mon, we need to go back" I reminded him. Owl nodded and walked back to the Cafe where Chestnut was walking around her siblings and friends protectively.

"We need to get out...where's Nermal?!" I panicked. Chestnut's fur bristled in shock as she looked at them.

"You mean you don't know where he is?!" I growled. Chestnut looked back at me and flinched.

"N-no" Chestnut trembled.

"We need to go look for him!" I growled, "C'mon, Owl! Let's go, lead the way!".

Of course, I was still helplessly hanging on Owl's back as he lead the others through the turmoil.

"The leader of Kalos is dead?" Tortoise meowed. Are champions leaders of their region?

"Yes" Suddenly, Tortoise leaped in excitement, Kim and Garfield doing the same while Rabbit kept limping behind with a silly grin on his face.

"Why does that make you all so happy?!" I growled, completely puzzled. They stopped.

"The humans won't know what to do if their icon is dead!" Kim purred, "Now's it's only a matter of time before the Kalos Hero shows up and starts the rebellion!".

Wh-what? But I don't want to do that, I just want to go home!

"We won't have to live like this anymore" Rabbit whispered, "Then my children can live in peace".

I was surprised by the solemnity in his voice as he limped past the squealing cat Pokemon and pressed himself against his sister, whom looked at him with sad eyes.

"Picasso! I see him!" Owl cried.

"Where?!"

"In the rubble, OH! He's facing RAYQUAZA!" Owl screamed.

I flipped myself off Owl and managed to wobble on weak legs, I saw Nermal on top of a slice of broken window snarling at Rayquaza...whom was right in front of his face.

"NO!" I yowled, suddenly, my footing recovered and my feet left a blaze as a ran at the speed of a cheetah on caffeine, I leaped into the air and used Flying Press on the Rayquaza's face.

The Rayquaza let out a surprised yowl before using Dragon Tail on the ground. It shook, sending me falling into the broken remains of a fallen tower.

I felt blood overcome me and heard Chestnut scream before my eyes sealed.

And the blood-curdling screech of another Legendary.
