Story Start!

"Woah... something pretty great must have happened, everyone seems to be... better." Naruto noted as he looked around the village. The day after his sleep in space, Yami brought her ship back down to the village, and everything seemed... lighter than before. Despite the fact that they were facing a war that could erupt anyday now, everyone's spirits seemed to be lifted up.

He wondered what had happened in the night he had been gone.

"... The enemy surrendered?" Yami guessed.

That was a guess.

"No way, the chakra of my Pa in my head told me that this started when I was born, meaning that this guy has been planning this stuff WAY before I was born. There is no way this bastard would give up this quickly." Naruto mentioned casually. There was no chance that was going to happen, but it was wishful thinking.

Yami nodded.

'... Honestly, he doesn't even need to fight... We could just leave this planet together, and never come back. Then he wouldn't have to risk himself.' Yami thought, since Naruto asked to come with her.

"I'm going to-"

Without even finishing his sentence, Yami saw as Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke, as if he were a Shadow Clone. Only she knew for a fact that he wasn't one, which made what just happened all the weirder to her. She almost jumped in shock at what happened actually happened, knowing that it wasn't something Naruto did on purpose.

"Looks like he has been Reverse Summoned."

"Hatake Kakashi." Yami took note of his words, and the calm way he said them, even though she didn't know what they meant. Based on his lack of reaction, negative or positive, she guessed that Naruto was in no danger. That was the more reassuring part of his words actually, that he didn't seem worried for Naruto. "... Reverse Summoned?" Yami asked with a raised eyebrow.

Now that she was reassured, it was time for questions.

"Naruto has a contract with a Summon creature, the Toads. While Naruto doesn't usually summon them when outside of battle, they have been known to summon him at times." Kakashi answered it as he stepped where Naruto had been standing. He took his book out, and Yami looked at it with a raised eyebrow.

According to Naruto, it was a smutty romance novel, created by Naruto's own late master, his godfather as well.

"What has everyone excited?" Yami asked, so that she could inform Naruto when he returned.

"Thankfully, I don't have to become the Sixth Hokage... Tsunade has woken up, and she's making a quick recovery now. I actually need a favor from you Yami." Kakashi mentioned in passing. He had wanted to get her alone anyway, so that he could ask this of her. There were several things, that right now, only she was able to do. Kakashi passed his book to her, and when she took it, she gave him a quick glare.

Then she saw that there was a picture in the book, and not like the picture was part of the book. Instead, Kakashi had slipped a photograph inside of the book for her to look at without anyone around them noticing.

'It's a sword... black... red markings, and a mutated handle... this isn't a sword.' Yami thought to herself as she looked at the picture of a sword.

"Even now, with war, we're still accepting missions. A suspicious mission came from a strangely dressed person. A person requesting that Naruto specifically retrieve this sword from some ruins in the Land of Wind. A suspicious mission, to get a strange sword, provided by a suspicious person... seems a little-" Kakashi wanted to say suspicious, but Yami got the point. She looked at the picture with serious intent, guessing who would have access to such a ancient relic.

Kakashi had a right to be suspicious.

"It's a Bladix, it's not a sword. This is a parasitic creature, known for causing the one who holds it to go on a bloodthirsty rampage their body expires." Yami knew what it was after thinking on it. The second Naruto laid his hand on the blade, it would cause him to rampage and kill everything around him until his stamina and lifeforce were both completely used up.

Kakashi glanced sideways at her.

"So, alien."

She nodded.

"Yes... this is a romance novel, right? Ignoring it's deplorable smut." Yami pointed out as she looked at the book that she had in her hands. She didn't believe that Naruto would care too much about the assassination attempt. The book in her hands would no doubt have a different kind of love than the ones that she had been researching. Perhaps, by reading it and ignoring the smut, she would be able to learn what her own feelings towards Naruto were.

Kakashi looked at her.

"I'm ignoring the deplorable part of that. Smut is an excellent way to safely get rid of inner desires that could hinder a person in battle." Kakashi didn't deny it was smut. He would never willingly read the book out loud in public, because even he was embarassed by the smut. It was smut, and Kakashi didn't defend that part of it.

It was just really good smut, which was what he enjoyed about it, and he didn't like it when his favorite choice in book was insulted.

There was a difference between smut and really good smut.

"... I'm ignoring that Naruto's teachers seem to be perverts-"

"I'll have you know, Naruto's been known to invent perverted ninjutsu for battle." Kakashi revealed casually, because he was not allowing his reputation to take this hit.

Yami raised an eyebrow.

"... What?" Yami asked with a raised eyebrow, a little surprised at what she just heard.

"He turns into naked women to stun his opponents, so don't judge me, when you're in love with a pervert like me." Kakashi pointed out, holding it above her head that he had noticed her feelings for Naruto. It was so obvious to everyone that she held love for him that it wasn't even funny.

From the way she stole glances at him, all the way to the fact he was the only person that she relaxed around.

Yami turned red.

"... Using seduction as a means to distract the enemy is actually a... viable tactic in battle." Yami didn't like to admit it, but she had a hard time defending that. Realistically, she could see the value in Naruto's technique. She didn't like it, but she didn't like the fact that she could defend it even more. Seduction, while considered dirty, was actually a very respectable tactic for fighting. She had never used it herself, but she knew others who did use it. "... Also... shut up." Yami stated with a glare at Kakashi.

How dare he reveal her love so casually?

Kakashi eye-smiled at her.

"Back to a serious note, yes, you can borrow my book." Kakashi didn't need her to ask him the question, to know what she wanted. Despite her cold exterior, she was actually a pretty easy person to read. Infact, he would bet that the person who had the hardest time understanding her emotions... was Yami herself. "... I will destroy you if you damage it." Kakashi threatened her seriously.

He would not appreciate his book being destroyed, and the one who destroyed it was going to get a firm ass beating.

"... Thank you." Yami stated, and they were silent.

They didn't really have a lot in common to talk about, and Kakashi didn't have the way with words that Naruto had. Kakashi ended up walking away, while Yami stood in place and placed the small book in her skirt pocket. She didn't want Naruto to catch her reading the filth that she put her hands on. She wanted him to have a good opinion of her, and have that opinion last as long as possible.

'... Even Kakashi seems to know I love... I'm in love... with Naruto.' Yami thought to herself as she looked up and around.

She was in love.

She hadn't known Naruto that long, and he had managed to get her to fall in love with him so quickly? Then again, they had actually met nearly months previous at this point. That would explain why she didn't like being called his friend, because somewhere inside of her, she wanted to be more than that. Actually, Kakashi's words made more sense to her than anything she had been thinking of before.

*Poof*

"Oooh, I'm going to be sick... that was super gross..."

"Welcome back." Yami stated to Naruto with a nod, schooling her features to try and hide her blush from earlier. She noticed that Naruto seemed slightly green, and he was holding his mouth like he was avoiding vomitting. It was like he had swallowed something extremely unpleasant. "What happened?" Yami wanted to avoid thinking about what she just did.

Naruto moved his hand about three feet off the ground, before he motioned about a foot away from his palms.

"I just swallowed a toad that was this big... while... I didn't even KNOW I could use my stomach to store things..." Naruto had never been told that people with Toad and Snake summoning contracts were able to use this stomachs are storage containers that apparently were a lot roomier than they should be. Like the fact that he now had a child-sized toad living inside of his stomach, stored away so that he could keep the Key to his seal nearby at all times.

Yami was silent as she looked at the size of the toad Naruto explained to her, before she looked at Naruto.

"Wait... can you store people inside of you too?" Yami asked when she realized that Naruto might actually be able to swallow a person whole, and store them inside of his body. That would be an extremely useful skill, like when only one person was allowed to go to a certain area. She could hide inside of Naruto, and while he snuck his way into a place, he would release her when it was time to attack.

They could also use Naruto to hide stolen information, and items they needed for future missions as well.

Naruto pulled a scroll out of his pocket, opened it up, before he summoned a very large fuma shuriken from it in a puff of smoke.

"This is how I prefer to store things, using Fuinjutsu. Anyway, now that I have the Key to my seal, I'm going to go and create a new Fuinjutsu." Naruto stated to her as he waved his hand. She blinked in surprise, and when she saw him start to walk away, she followed him.

She didn't know he had that skill.

"Create?"

"When I was on my training journey with Pervy Sage, we started to create a jutsu together. He told me about a jutsu that I can perfect... but I needed the Key to my seal before I could perfect it." Naruto explained with pride in his voice, but Yami saw a rare serious look on his face. She wanted to know what kind of jutsu this was going to be, though she was guessing it had to be a seal based on context clues.

She didn't know Naruto was a creator of... Yami looked at Naruto with a deadpan stare.

This wasn't a perverted technique, was it?

"What does it do?"

She had to know.

"It's called the Torii Seal, powerful enough to seal away practically anything... well, seal things away into me at least. It's based off of my Eight Trigrams Seal that holds Kurama inside of me... speaking of which." Naruto paused and he placed his hand on his stomach.

-Kurama's Cage-

"Hey Kurama... consider you're willing to give me a chance, why don't I return the favor." Naruto started to walk towards the seal on the cage. He lifted his jacket up, and the key appeared on his right arm, going to his hand. Naruto instantly knew how to use the seal's key, mostly because despite almost never using Fuinjutsu, he was actually pretty good at it. Just looking at the key once was enough for him to know how to use it.

He ripped the piece of paper off of the cage.

"Foolish... and if I use this chance to attack?" Kurama gave a dark teasing to Naruto.

Naruto snorted.

"I beat your ass and seal you up so tight that when I die, I'll actually take you with me to the afterlife." Naruto spoke confidently as he twisted the key up against the seal on his stomach. The spiral lock underneath the paper started to undo itself, and several seconds of that, the seal was completely undone.

The bars of the huge cage opened up, and vanished completely as the entire area started to change to become larger than before.

*BOOM*

Kurama slammed his hand against where Naruto was standing.

Naruto was standing between his fingers with crossed arms, a smirk on his face, having not even flinched from what the Tailed Beast did. Kurama looked down at Naruto, before he stretched himself out and laid back down.

"Don't get confident Naruto... we will fight once you're prepared. Though, notice anything strange now?" Kurama asked Naruto, and Naruto blinked.

He sensed something now.

"... I sense... anger... resentment... I'm sensing negative emotions... somewhere inside of my mind?" Naruto questioned as he looked towards the exit into the maze of his own mind. "... You..." Naruto stopped when he looked at Kurama.

Kurama smirked.

"When I was inside of Mito, I gave her the ability to sense negative emotions to try and drive her insane. All Jinchuriki get a special ability from their Tailed Beast... I give greater regenation, and negative emotion sensing. I myself use this ability to look for my host's deepest hates, and exploit them... use this ability to go and fight your inner self. Once you've defeated the other Naruto... I will be waiting." Kurama stated as he closed his eyes, his piece said and done with.

Soon, they would fight for Naruto's body.

Naruto Chapter: 489 - It's mentioned that the Key to Naruto's seal was needed to complete or perfect the jutsu that Jiraiya and Naruto were training with. Naruto was the literal inventor of the Torii Seal.

Note: With Negative Emotion sensing, Naruto can sense the emotions inside of his own mind and track down Dark Naruto without needing the Falls of Truth.
