They Called Another Man Daddy

AN: It has been a very very long time since I have written anything so I'm very sorry for the standard of writing I am about to offer you.
I have no idea what made me come back to this story or why I feel a sudden need to mark it as complete but with only this chapter left I figured I would give it a shot.
If there are any fans left of this story, thank you for all your support. It meant so much to me and I am sorry I let you all down by never finishing it until now.
Now onto the final chapter
Chapter 21 (The last and final one)
Sam breathed a sigh of relief, she had finally finished the majority of the unpacking. Making a fresh cup of coffee she wandered over to the window that overlooked the backyard where the girls were playing happily together. Charity was enjoying the freedom of finally having her leg out of plaster and the other two girls were over the moon that their sister could once again join in their action packed games. Sam watched the girls running around the backyard laughing. Sam found herself smiling and realised she felt relaxed for the first time in a long time. So much had happened in the last couple of months and now that everything had settled and had been worked out she couldn't get over how happy she was.
After returning from the lake house and filling the necessary paperwork against Pete, her and the girls had quickly packed up the place they had called home for many years and found a place where they could now make new happy memories in an environment safe from Pete, Sam was even consulting with the SGC again which she was loving, it hadn't been easy of course, it would be a while before the whole Pete was completely behind them and everything was different now and there had been a lot of things to sort out especially with Jack. Understandably he had a lot of anger towards her for keeping the girls a secret from him and didn't necessarily understand her reasons for doing so but eventually they had finally figured out a way to move forward and both Jack and the girls were now getting to know each other. The girls had even started to call Jack daddy which Sam knew he was over the moon about. Finally, her precious daughters had the father they deserved.

"Girls, it's time to go" Sam said later that afternoon, raising her voice to be heard by the girls who were now upstairs.
It was Cassie's birthday and everyone was going to Daniel and Janet's to help the young woman celebrate. Sam and Cassie had sorted out their issues after a long in-depth conversation and while Cassie didn't understand Sam's reasoning for disappearing she had forgiven the older woman and embraced her fully once again, and Sam was overjoyed at being involved in the young woman's life again.
There was a sudden rush of feet and three little blonde haired girls quickly descended the stairs, excited over the upcoming celebrations. Truth be told they were also looking forward to seeing baby Andrew, who had had only a short stay in hospital before being released into his parent's care and was now two months old and doing extremely well considering the stressful circumstances of his early delivery.
"Let's go mummy" Hope demanded grabbing Sam's hand and trying to pull her towards the door.
"Come on, we don't want to be late" Faith added joining her sister in her efforts to move their mother.
"I have the present" announced Charity, grabbing the gift that had been placed by the door.
Sam laughed at her daughters' excitement and quickly ushered they into the car.
It was time for a party.

"…. Happy Birthday to you!" everyone sang before cheering as Cassie blew out her candles. Sam smiled at the scene in front of her. Cassie was seated at the table with Janet and Daniel on one side and Charity and Faith on her other side. Hope was with Jack, it turned out she was a bit of a daddy's girl and Jack in turn was more than happy to indulge her and therefore Hope could almost always be found where ever Jack was. Teal'c had been given the baby to hold and he was taking his reasonability seriously, standing stoic as he gently cradled Andrew, the tiny baby looking even smaller in the big alien's arms. Everyone was laughing and joking around, and as Sam watched on she realised she couldn't be happier. Once again she was surrounded by those people she loved, those people she considered her family, and finally after everything she felt at peace once again.
