Chapter 20
Another month flies by. Everything is peaceful no stress, no accidents, and only one hospital visit and thats only to see the baby. Mori and Airi didnt want to know the gender. They wanted to keep it a surprise. The host club was helping Airi every chance they got. Airi looks like she has a half of a basketball for a belly. Whats worse is she knows she will only get bigger. She looks at the others with a look of question.
"A vacation?" She asks Tamaki with Mori rubbing her stomach.
"Yeah~! It will be a smaller Suoh residence that is used mainly for getaways, rolling green hills, a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains!"
"It sounds amazing Tamaki, but can I actually go with being a blimp?"
"Your not a blimp." Mori states.
"Pleease Airi~?" Honey smiles wide. She thinks a bit and gives in.
"Ok ok I'll go."
They all get packed up and head to the Suoh residence. When they get there, someone is waiting outside. A familiar someone. "No way…." Hikaru says in a fearful type awe.
"It cant be….." Karou says in the same tone. Once they pull up Tamaki gets out and walks over to the person. That person is Kyoya, he looks terrible. His hair has grown to be quite long and shaggy, he also has circles under his eyes from where he looks as if he hasnt slept in awhile, he is also thinner like he hasnt ate. But whats worse than all of that is he has bruises all over his body. Airi felt scared, but she didnt know if it was because of his current state, or because of what happened months ago. Tamaki walks over to the terrible figure. Its the first time anyone has seen Kyoya look so defeated. Tamaki takes him inside. The others are unsure of what to do. Tamaki waves them in. They all go in slowly, especially Airi. She doesnt want to see him, she doesnt want to be around him.
Once they get to the door Tamaki stops her and holds her shoulder. "Airi. He's asking for you." Her heart beats fast from the anxiety. "Dont worry about him though. He doesnt have the energy to do anything." She feels a bit at ease, but knows that if he wanted to, he could use that last of his strength to hurt her. Mori tightens his hand around her hand. She nods and they pick out a room. She sits on the bed deep in thought. Mori comes over and kisses her forehead.
"Im scared Takashi…." Her voice quivers when she speaks. All he can do is hold her close.
"I'll be right there with you." She nods and sighs standing up. She rubs her belly for comfort before walking into his room. Mori is right behind her every step of the way.
She gets kind of close to him. He looks worse up close. He looks like a skeleton that should belong in a hospital. He shifts his head over slowly and smiles. "You came… I was starting to worry." He says calmly yet very sickly. All she can do is stand there and tremble. "I wanted to apologise to you both. I would have felt bad doing what I did without apologising before I die."
"How could you do that Kyoya?" Airi's voice is trembling like she is getting ready to cry. "How could you almost kill me and my unborn baby, put me and Takashi through hell, then try and kill yourself?! Why do all of this….?" Kyoya looks at the ceiling in thought.
"Honestly…. I dont know anymore….. What I've done…. will never be forgiven…. Maybe…. deep down….. I really loved you Airi…. but I knew you didnt love me…." His voice was so calm, but then it started to crack and stutter. "Im sorry for what I did…. Im so sorry…." The tears can be seen rolling down his face. Its the first time she has ever seen him cry.
"Kyoya…." She looks down at her stomach. She grabs his thin frail hand and places it on her stomach. The baby moves for him. His eyes widen but the tears keep flowing. "They forgive you so…. I will too….."
