Hi guys, I'm back with some more Corpse Party. It seems some people are disatisfied with some of the things I've done. Oh well, I won't let it get me down too much. I understand your opinions.
Let's Reply.
Shredder572: Ooooh, I see. Also, I don't know if you caught this, or anyone else did and was wondering, but Annika isn't wearing the Kisaragi uniform. .-. I just now realized that. Let's just say she hasn't gotten it from the school board yet. XD And yesss, the water for hydration was a no brainer for me. XD I know I hate it when they split up too. It's just hard to make stuff happen when they all stick together.
Rockerdude11: Well I hope you stay satisfied!
Codebreakeryuuki: You still bring so much light to my day when you review. XD Hmmm..I'm still deciding about what Yoshiki is going to do about it. Yeaaaah! Go Claire! XD once again, the water for hydration was a big no brainer for it. XD
Lexy02: Because people are stupid sometimes. XD At least Mark is kind of insane so he could probalby find some way to fend for himself.
I'm assuming Ayumi shinozaki and Wow way to go are the same people: Sorry, luv. It's my story. If I want Claire to live, she's going to live. If I want her to be a match for Sachiko, then she will be. You don't really have much control over it, I do. This isn't the game, and I'm just sick of no one being able to take on a little ghost girl.
Sydney33: Oh yeah...I forgot about those parts. So technically Oracle shouldn't have been waving her hands through that one ghost. Oh well, mistakes happen! :D I understand you feel that way about Sachiko and Claire. Our views on Sachiko's strength is a little different from each others, and that's fine. Because personally I think it's stupid none of the characters in the anime/game could just kick her ass...As long as you don't get pissy with me about it because I ain't gonna change it, and I hope you understand that. ^w^
Let's get going with Morishige and Iris! Hoo-ha!
Chapter 21
Iris reequipped all of her items as Morishige thought things through very carefully. He was in a hell dimension. With some girl who had tons of guns, little bombs, tracking devices, and knives all over her. And she's not exactly sane. This could go really really bad, or play out in his odds. On one hand, Iris could flat out snap in this place and kill Morishige, which was a very big possibility. Or she could be a useful aid of protection. As he sat against the wall weighing out the options, he didn't realize he was staring very hard at the ground.
"What? Is the answer to every problem on the assignment you had for tonight written on the ground or something?" Iris said teasingly as she shoved her most used gun back into her belt-loop.
"...Well that's new. Usually people reference to the meaning of life when asking such a question," Morishige said, pushing up his glasses that had slid down his nose.
"I know. That's why I changed it. To be different, and besides, you look more like the smart-ass student who gets good grades anyway, glasses guy," Iris spoke in a slightly high pitch voice tainted with insanity.
"...Make up your mind. Am I Morishi or glasses guy...," Morishige said in a low tone, but in his head he thought, 'Personally I'd prefer neither but it seems like here it's a lost cause to say that...'
"Aaaw! Why choose!? You should be happy! Now you have two pet names!" Iris exclaimed in an excited voice, grabbing Morishige's hand and yanking him to his feet suddenly. He gasped in surprise a little bit.
"Would you let me know when you're about to do that kind of stuff!? And what do you mean by pet name!?" Morishige asked, his voice sounding rather irritated by now.
"No I won't let you know! You're adorable when you're surprised! Oh, and pet names? Well...simple! Consider this a date! You can decide if you like me or not later!" Iris said happily, strutting out of the room. She had placed a random black rose on James' body earlier.
"A-a date!? Wait a minute!" Morishige grabbed her arm and held her in place, "I'm in a hell dimension alone with some stranger who could easily kill me at any moment and you want me to consider this a DATE!?"
"Well...sure. Why not? I mean...we're alone, doing something...," Iris stood on her tiptoes and leaned into his ear and whispered, "together~..." Iris got back down and pulled her arm from his grasp and walked around to his side, hugging his arm. Morishige recalled Mayu hugging his arm in a similar manner earlier that day, and looked away from Iris. He wasn't sure if the heat he felt in his face meant he was blushing or not but he sure didn't want her to know if he was.
"Let us get moving already," Morishige said quietly, walking forward and pulling her with him. Iris caught up easily, not letting go of his arm.
"So is this a date~?" Iris giggled, pressing her cheek against his arm.
"Whatever, fine," Morishige said, trying to sound more irritated than he really was. Honestly, some part of his normal human mind said why not. It's not like he had a high chance of living after this anyway, and somewhere inside he kind of enjoyed the idea of it being a date. Not like he would admit it. (A/N: Fucking boy pride...)
Iris let out something like an annoying fan girl screech and clung to his arm tighter, if it was possible. She looked like a thin weak girl, but when she was hugging something she had one hell of a death grip. Morishige could feel his hand going a little bit numb, but Iris was satisfied for now so he'd just let it go. Suddenly a weight yanked down on his arm and he was pulled to the ground with a yell of surprise. Iris had dropped to the ground and picked up a note. He glared at her bitterly.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" Morishige yelled, losing his cool for a minute, then taking deep breaths and saying calmly, "Fang, please try not to rip my arm off. You're already making my hand go numb..."
Iris stared a little blankly at the note, not even showing she registered Morishige's words for once. It was almost like she was frozen, simply staring at the note with an uncharacteristic frown. Morishige sighed and turned her head to face him eye to eye with his hand on her cheek.
"Don't frown. It doesn't look right on you," Morishige said before he could even register the words that had come out of his mouth. He slapped himself about five times mentally when he realized it. Iris smiled a little and handed him the note.
You and your little boyfriend aren't going to get very far, Iris Fang. More like you're never getting out of here. Morishige came in a group with Ayumi Shinozaki. And well, let's just put it bluntly! She was his group's spirit medium, and I killed her! Oh happy days it's so much fun! And you know the fate of Maryon, and you know there is now way you're going to convince me to get you out of here! See your spirit when you're dead~!
-Ezla
"Who's Ezla...," Morishige said.
"Annika's...sister...," Iris said, resting her head on his shoulder.
He stiffened, but he didn't bother trying to get her off. It was pretty much pointless with Iris, she'd persist until she got her way anyhow. Plus...he felt like it was the least he could do for her right now.
Well that's it for this chapter! I hope you all enjoyed, but if you didn't that's fine. This was kind of a little filler chapter, I really had no idea what to do with those to this chapter.
