They arrived at the stadium a little bit before the game started and Chloe wasn't sure if she'd ever seen Charlie so excited. Beca had made sure to get them great seats just behind the visiting Cardinal dugout. Chloe nearly squealed when she saw her favorite player emerge.
"Mommy! Mommy! Is dat Moina?" Charlie asked, excitedly pointing to a random player. Before Chloe had a chance to answer, the man himself heard Charlie speak.
"I'm right here little man." Yadier Molina answered in his thick accent. "What's your name?"
"Chawlie! You Mommy's favowite pwayer!" He yelled from the first row of the stands while Chloe held him with wide eyes. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. "She say you da man!"
"Oh yeah?" He smiled and asked one of the bat boys to get him a ball. "Did your mommies bring you to the game to see the Cardinals win?" He asked assuming they were a family.
"Yeah!" The boy yelled back at him with a fist pump.
"Well we'll try to play extra good for you today. Would you like a ball?" Charlie nodded smiling. Yadier took the ball from the bat boy and signed his autograph on to it. He actually walked it over to the side where he could actually hand it over to Charlie. "There you go kid." A stunned silent Chloe finally spoke up when he was actually a foot in front of them.
"What do you say Charlie?"
"Fank you!"
"Yes, thank you so much! You are so awesome." She said while she took her phone out. "Do you mind if we take a picture with you?"
"Sure." He answered and Chloe squealed, making him laugh. She asked a person in the seat next to them to take the picture. The three gathered around the baseball player as the person took their picture.
"Thank you so much for everything. Good luck today!" She said and he nodded walking away. She thanked the woman next to her before she turned to Beca. "Oh my God, I can't believe that just happened! He was so nice!" Charlie was holding onto to his newly signed ball with a huge smile on his face.
"Beca! I got a basebaw!"
"I see that buddy!" Beca answered as he went to sit on her lap as the game was ready to start. Chloe knew this day was going to be amazing, but it was turning into one of the best days ever. She looked over to her two favorite people snapping a few pictures of them, and then loading everything onto her instagram.
"Thank you for doing this." Chloe leaned in taking a hold of Beca's hand. "I love you." She kissed her cheek making Beca smile.
"I love you too, baby. And you don't have to thank me, but you're welcome." Beca answered and before Chloe had a chance to say anything a young girl came up to Beca.
"Excuse me, but you're Beca Mitchell right?" The young teenager asked, drawing the attention of Beca and Chloe.
"Yeah, I am." The brunette answered and the girl smiled.
"Can I have your autograph? I'm a huge fan. I want to be a music producer one day and you are just awesome. I love your music. I heard that you and Demi Lovato are working together and I can't wait to see what you guys put out." The girl rambled as she held out a piece of paper and pen. Beca chuckled taking the paper.
"Sure, I'm so happy that you like it and definitely be on the lookout for Demi's new album. It's going to be killer." She said as signed the paper on the knee that Charlie wasn't sitting on.
"Hi!" Charlie said to the girl and Beca handed the paper back.
"Hi." She replied back, smiling at him. "Thank you so much and you look so cute together." She said before taking off. Beca then readjusted in her seat, taking a hold of Chloe's hand. She noticed the redhead staring at her. "What?" She inquired and Chloe shook her head.
"Nothing, I just forgot that you're famous."
"Trust me, I'm not that famous. I'm more behind the scenes, so people don't really recognize me. That usually doesn't happen."
"Whatever, you're just being modest."
"I'm serious. They may know my name and my music, but people don't usually recognize me unless I'm all dressed up in some dress for an awards show."
"Oh, that actually makes sense. When I see you on the Grammy's you do look a lot different." Chloe said. "Still really hot though." She smirked.
"When is da game gonna stawt?" Charlie asked impatiently, interrupting them. He was a great child but still just a two year old.
"It's getting ready to start buddy. Look they're lining up for the National Anthem." Soon enough the game was underway.
It was scoreless going into the fourth inning as the leadoff hitter was walked, then Yadier Molina came up to the plate. Chloe and Charlie cheered loudly as he stepped into the box. A few pitches later, he got a sweet pitch was right down the middle. He swung hard, connecting with the ball. Everyone could tell as soon as it was hit that is was out of the park. He jogged around the bases then touched home plate, pointing up towards the heavens. (His home run ritual.) Just before he went into the dugout he pointed to Charlie then gave him a thumbs up. They cheered for him until he went into the dugout. Yes, even Beca had to cheer for the guy. I mean, he made Chloe and Charlie's day. How could I not like the guy now?
After the first half of the fourth inning the Dodgers were still scoreless. The home crowd, trying to get their team pumped up, started doing the wave. Beca couldn't even internally roll her eyes, because the excitement on Charlie and Chloe face was so worth it. Chloe was holding Charlie as they watched the waves going around the stadium. Beca snapped a picture of the two with amazement shown on their faces. She loaded on to Instagram with the comment of "My world."
"Look Charlie, here it comes." She smiled. "Are you ready? 1…2…3." Their section all stood, throwing their arms in the air. Charlie cheered as it kept on going. Chloe and Beca looked at each other with smiles on their faces. They knew this moment was special. This was a day that they would remember and look back at in the future. Chloe reached out touching Beca's arm, her fingers trailed linking their fingers together. Beca caressed the back of Chloe's hand with her thumb, still memorized by each other. They were stuck in the moment until the wave came back around and Charlie yelled in glee.
"Hewe it comes!" They smiled at each other again then Beca picked up Charlie just in time for them to stand up. She stood up, raising him high above her head as the wave went by. The wave must have worked because in the bottom of the fourth the Dodgers came alive scoring two, now just trailing by one. Between the fifth and sixth inning the kisscam began going around. It was one of Chloe's favorites. She was laughing at all of the cute couples on screen, she especially loved when one of them was paying attention and the other one wasn't. Some poor lady or man was all of a sudden being grabbed and kissed. She was laughing at the previous couple when all of a sudden she, Charlie, and Beca were suddenly on screen. Her eyes went wide and she looked over at Beca. They smiled then kissed each side of Charlie's cheeks, making him smile brightly. Chloe could have sworn she heard the crowd awe and cheer a bit louder than usual.
The next inning Chloe bought them cotton candy on a stick from the vendor that had been walking around. It was the first time Charlie had cotton candy, one bite and he was addicted. His face lit up like it was Christmas morning.
"Oh no." Chloe said as she saw his face. "Maybe the cotton candy wasn't such a good idea." And Beca laughed.
"Please, he looks exactly like you do when you've had candy." She stated, but then remembered how Chloe acts when she's on a sugar high. "Oh no."
"Yeah."
"Maybe I should take this away from the both of you." Beca teased and held the stick of candy at arm's length.
"Hey!" Charlie and Chloe said at the same time. "Do not take cotton candy away from C squared." Chloe said with a pout, and then reached across Beca taking the stick from her. Beca shook her head with a chuckle as she watched both mother and son pick at the sugar treat.
The game ended with the Cardinals winning 4-2. They began filing out of the stadium and walking towards the car. Charlie was still on his sugar high, talking about a mile a minute. Luckily it was a about a fifteen minute walk to the car. He walked in between the two women, holding both of their hands. "Dat was so awesome! I wanna pway basebaw. Can we go pway basebaw now? I wanna pway!" Chloe and Beca just continued to chuckle as he rambled on.
"Not tonight Charlie." His mother said. "You need to get to bed."
"I don't wanna go to bed!" He pouted like a pro. "I wanna pway basebaw!" He jerked his hands out of their grips and tried to throw a fit.
"I don't think so mister." Chloe said in her stern motherly voice. "You better behave or we won't go to the park tomorrow. Got it?"
"Yeah, I dot it." He answered, hanging his head. "I sowry Mommy." He reached up for her to pick him up. She picked him up, kissing him on the cheek as he laid his head on her shoulder.
"I see someone's sugar crash is hitting." Beca said then leaned closer to where only Chloe could hear. "Is it weird that I'm oddly turned on by your Mom voice?"
"Oh my God, shut up." Chloe busted up laughing and pushing her away. "Are you serious?" She asked and Beca smiled, just shrugging her shoulders.
"Maybe, it's kind of hot." She said and Chloe just smiled shaking her head.
"You're impossible." Chloe stated as she shifted Charlie. He had fallen directly asleep as soon as he hit Chloe's shoulder. Beca noticed the struggle and held out her arms.
"Here let me take over."
"Thanks, he gets a little heavy." They made it to the car just a few minutes later. Beca carefully placed Charlie in his car seat before getting in the passenger seat.
"You're getting so much better at that." Chloe said as started the car. "It's kind of hot." She repeated Beca's words from earlier. The brunette smiled and leaned over the console giving her a kiss that soon turned passionate. Beca pulled away though before it got too heated.
"Not that I'm not enjoying this, but let's get home so I can do things to you." She whispered huskily in Chloe's ear, sending shivers down Chloe's spine.
"Hmm, yes ma'am." She replied as she pulled out of the parking lot. During the drive home Chloe reached across holding Beca's hand, caressing her hand. "I had a really good time today. Thank you for everything."
"Definitely one of the best day's ever."
They arrived back to Chloe's apartment. Beca got a sleeping Charlie out of the car as Chloe got the picnic basket from earlier. They were walking into the apartment building hand in hand. It really had been like that all day. They reached out subconsciously, always having the need to touch each other, even if it was just holding hands. Holding Charlie with one arm and Chloe in the other, Beca thought she could really get used to his. They got on the elevator and Chloe whispered in her ear.
"Just wait until we put him to bed, I'll so you just how much I enjoyed today." This time sending shivers down Beca's spine and making her heart rate triple. They got off the elevator and made the way to the apartment. Beca had to readjust Charlie to her other arm when they turned the corner and saw a blonde woman in blue scrubs by Chloe's door. The redhead looked over and Beca who was rolling her eyes. About that time Beth looked up at the approaching couple.
"Chloe, I need to talk to you." She said then looked briefly at Beca. "Alone."
"There's nothing to talk about, I need to get my son to bed." Chloe replied trying to step aside, but Beth blocked her.
"I'm not leaving here until you talk to me." She said and Chloe rolled her eyes.
"Fine." Chloe answered aggregately, stepping around her, and turned to open the door for Beca so she could take Charlie in. "I'll be right in."
Beca nodded. "You going to be ok?" She asked, really not liking the fact Chloe was going to be out here alone with that bitch.
"Yeah, it's ok. Will you change him for me?" She asked and again Beca nodded.
"Of course."
"Thanks baby." Chloe said and leaned in giving her a kiss. Beca turned going into the apartment, missing the blonde's reaction. Chloe shut the door and turned to the woman. "Ok talk."
"What the hell was that!?"
