Jkitty (x3): Thanks for reviewing the earlier chapters! I hope you continue with the rest of the story and like it.

So guys, this it it... I have no idea if you liked Chapter 19 or Lily and Seed's warrior names since no one said anything, but I'll take it as a "pleasant silence" X'D

So... I started When the Sun Goes Down in May 2012. I didn't have a fanfiction account yet for another year, so I created a blod and posted the chapters in sections on there, advertising around so my story could still be read and enjoyed (hopefully) by others. It got a lot of views, and I was getting excited. Then I dipped in and out of writer's block, and at this point the blog is abandoned, only visited by marketers who speak Arabian posting in the chatbox or something XP.

Then I made my account on here and posted TDA first, thinking that would get the most popular- and I was right. But when I posted this in November, it eventually rose to second place, CS being third. So if you loved or even just liked When the Sun Goes Down, please keep a lookout for the sequel, A NEW DESTINY! Totally different POVs from this one, so sorry if you enjoyed reading from Lilypaw or Cinderheart's perspective. But when I started this, I was sick of Firestar's family being in the spotlight, so I decided to focus on the tom everybody loves, Brackenfur's family instead. But, as it turns out, they're not all that exciting. I had to add in the Apprentice Paradise stuff because, otherwise, what could I say about Seedpaw, who was born at the tail-end of the actual series and is one of the smallest characters ever known?

So, expect Firestar's family again in the sequel. I'm sorry if you hate Firestar. If you wanted him to die, he did, so XP And if you don't like Dovewing, sorry ahead of time. You'll see why :P But I still hope you'll give A New Destiny (AND) a try.

Again, thank you all so, so, so much! This didn't get as popular on here as I would've hoped, but this was one of my first stories, so I can't expect to be an instant hit! Thanks to everyone who supported this and has stuck with it even back when it was just an eight-chapter story with five reviews. I love you all, and see you at AND or any of my other stories!

You know why I'm so proud? This is the first major Warriors story I've finished. Ever.

And if you have any questions about what happens next, PM me. Only do this if you can't wait a couple days for AND. I will reply to any last reviews on here as I usually do on the Allegiances/Prologue of AND. For the millionth time, thanks!

When the Sun Goes Down ; 5/20/12-8/13/14 DONE!

Poppyfrost could see the light at the end of the tunnel now. They were so close, she could almost taste the lake's somewhat salty tang on the tip of her tongue.

She didn't have either of her kits beside her; one was with her, though, in her heart, and the other just back home. The tortoiseshell could already feel the pride in Molefoot if the lazy young tom had actually gotten up and started to clean up around the hollow. After all, a flood couldn't just sweep by, destroying everything in its path, without leaving some damage.

But Poppyfrost was prepared for it. She was pretty sure she knew what to expect. She nuzzled Berrynose, who was padding confidently at her side. "Excited to be coming back?"

"Of course I am," Berrynose meowed, his voice for once calm and collected. "I think the cold was starting to get into my brain and making me go insane," he muttered, lashing his tail in the direction upward.

Poppyfrost laughed, just glad he had returned from the grief. It had taken a bit, but now neither of them were stunned silent as though their tongues had been snatched from their mouths. "Me too," she agreed. "Me too."

They were getting closer and closer by the heartbeat. Each pawstep curved around a pebble, each pad stabbed by a pointed stone, each mini rocky avalanche caused by a misplaced paw, was one moment closer to home.

Poppyfrost recalled everything about the hollow and lake before the Clans left:

"Medicine cat coming through!" Jayfeather hollered, barreling past Blossomfall and Poppyfrost. Blossomfall glared at the back of his head.

"Medicine cat apprentice coming through!" Briarlight copied despite the worry shining in her amber eyes. However, her exclamation was muffled due to the fact that many herbs were crammed into her jaws.

Poppyfrost backed away a few steps to give the medicine cats space, but she still peeked over Jayfeather's shoulder. She was curious.

Blossomfall bit her lip so hard that it looked as if it could burst. "Will she have to have them here and now?"

Jayfeather didn't glance up from Icecloud as he answered. "Well, it will happen now," he meowed hotly, tail-tip flicking in annoyance. "I don't think she has the strength to get back to the camp in time though."

Poppyfrost's stomach twisted. What was the fate for Icecloud?

Briarlight piped up suddenly. "Jayfeather, a kit! A kit!" Poppyfrost leaned forward in anticipation, along with Blossomfall, whose eyes were wide in… horror? Poppyfrost noticed Mousewhisker rest his tail on her shoulders somewhat soothingly.

A sharp mewl pierced the air, and the blood roared in Poppyfrost's ears. "It's a tom, the first of three!" Jayfeather announced in a mumble, probably only half to the audience. Poppyfrost glimpsed a pure-white bundle identical to his mother. There was not a single piece of another fur color on his pelt from what she saw.

Quite abruptly, Cinderheart blundered in with a dark tabby that smelled of ShadowClan by her side. Both were panting heavily. Poppyfrost gulped. What was a cat from an enemy Clan doing here?

The dark tomcat collapsed down next to Icecloud and stroked her rippling flank with his tail gently. "It'll be alright, Icecloud," he murmured in her ear.

"Excuse me," Jayfeather's head snapped up like a twig breaking from a tree. "Why are you here?"

The ShadowClan warrior fixed his unwavering gaze on Jayfeather. "I am Tigerheart, and Icecloud is my mate. I am not afraid to admit it."

Now Poppyfrost couldn't suppress a smile as she watched Oakkit, Puddlekit, and Bloodkit trot steadily, weaving between their parents' legs, walking underpaw constantly. But nevertheless, the love in Icecloud and Tigerheart's eyes was true, not just for their kits, but for each other. Who cared if Tigerheart used to be of ShadowClan, and that he was named after Tigerstar, his grandfather? He was a kindhearted tom who just couldn't find love in his own Clan. Sometimes, one could do anything for love.

Poppyfrost leaned harder against Berrynose as another flashback consumed her.

Disbelief fizzed in Poppyfrost's paws the heartbeat she laid her eyes on her long-lost sister. She bounded forward toward Seedpaw, warmth spreading through her pelt. The tortoiseshell felt Cinderheart by her side as well as the rest of their family- Sorreltail, Brackenfur, and Lilypaw- not far behind.

"I can't believe it's really you!" Poppyfrost squeaked like a delighted apprentice. She rasped her tongue over the ginger cat's cheek, but was immediately shoved away by Sorreltail, whose amber eyes were wide in relief and joy as Seedpaw was consumed in licks.

"Hey, hey, bug off," Seedpaw mumbled, shying away as though her mother's saliva was poison. "And don't expect me to come back home with you all. This is my place now."

Lilypaw did a double take, parting her lips a bit before demanding, "Are you insane? Of course you can't come back home with us… the, uh, the lake… it's…"

But before she could finish, Seedpaw's glimmering green gaze flitted to Honeykit, who was gnawing on Cinderheart's unsheathed claws. "Is that your daughter?" she asked rather coldly for the type of inquiry it was.

"Why, yes, she is. Her name is Honeykit, after Honeyfern. I also had two little toms, Flintkit and Stonekit, who are over there," Cinderheart replied proudly, flicking her tail in the direction of Lionblaze and their sons, who were all watching curiously from a respectful distance.

"That is- is, er, great," Seedpaw mumbled, reverting to staring at her paws until Brackenfur piped up finally.

"Why did you ever leave, mouse-brain?" he growled. "You left your mother and I worried sick for many nights. Sorreltail could barely sleep," the golden-brown tabby lightly chided his daughter, eyes narrowed as he waited for an answer.

"I couldn't stay there anymore," Seedpaw replied, seeming exasperated in spite of the questioning only just starting. "I felt left out and different from every other cat. I knew that Lilypaw was the dominant littermate over me as well. She was the one with friends and the one who our mentors liked." Lilypaw's face twisted into an unreadable expression, mostly of hurt, surprise, and flattery. "I'm now another moon behind in my training, probably; who knows. But I left, going in the direction of the mountains. I came upon a group of rogues, and believe it or not, they took me in at seeing I was tough. They basically killed their own daughter to put me in her place." Poppyfrost shuddered; what cat would do something like that? She couldn't imagine murdering Cherrystem for another cat. "They made me change my name to Seed, and trained me to fight a bit with their son, Flick. I got stronger until I was able to defeat him. Eventually they announced that they were planning to attack their main enemy. That adversary turned out to be the Tribe. We battled three Tribe cats patrolling, and before I could flick my tail again they traded me off to the Tribe for a dumb old bet, as though I'm a dead mouse. So now here I am. My name is Seed now, not Seedpaw. And if I end up staying here permanently, I could be Seed that Falls from Flower or something like that."

Poppyfrost had never felt gladder that Seedpaw- now Seedspeck- hadn't ended up staying with the Tribe. Seedspeck was meant to be with the Clan. She belonged with her kin, not up in the mountains.

But then the tortoiseshell sighed. Cherrystem. If her daughter was still alive, she would be expecting Dark's kits, still up in the chilly Cave of Rushing Water. Again the thought arrived in Poppyfrost's mind: Sometimes, one could do anything for love. It was undeniably true: Cherrystem would have been willing to give up her whole life in ThunderClan just so Dark could see his kits, and they could raise them together. If that had happened, at times Poppyfrost would painfully wonder why Dark couldn't join ThunderClan. It wasn't that difficult; after all, Tigerheart had done it for Icecloud and their kits, leaving behind his parents, sister, and popularity in ShadowClan.

However, Poppyfrost understood that, between the two, Cherrystem was the strong one. Dark had been weakened by his love for her, but was still fiercer than the infamous Sharptooth when it came to defending his family. But to do that, he had to be in his tougher home environment. And Cherrystem would've been completely okay with that.

Cherrystem's screeches for help still echoed in Poppyfrost's ears sometimes when the dappled female tried to fall asleep. Just a moment sooner, and I could've saved her, Poppyfrost insisted to herself sometimes. Or if I had forced Brackenfur to let me up there with them, I'm a bit bigger than Dark, I could've reached up and pulled down the eagle by its talons. Or just… something… And other times, she argued with her love for Cherrystem. It was meant to be. Things always happen for a reason. Cherrystem had to die. It… it was just meant to be.

It was just meant to be. Poppyfrost hated that. It seemed like the excuse for everything:

"I just lost my mouse! Fox-dung!"

"Oh, it was meant to be."

So, instead of using the it-was-meant-to-be treatment on him, Poppyfrost strolled right up to Dark one last time and murmured, "Sometimes, one could do anything for love." He understood right away; he nodded. Then he got to his paws and rested his head on Poppyfrost's shoulder. "There's no way I could ever make it up to you."

"What do you mean?"

"For giving me the biggest joy of my life," Dark meowed, pulling away and meeting her directly in the eyes. His amber gaze was extraordinary, filled with sparks and flecks Poppyfrost had never noticed before from a distance. "Cherrystem," he whispered her name again, and the two embraced for a long time before the Clans departed.

"Well, this is it, cats!" Bramblestar yowled, dragging himself to the top of the hill, surveying the Clans' home before him. It was a wreck: tree branches strewn everywhere, enormous puddles of water gathered in various places, RiverClan's river swollen to twice its normal size. And, as expected, the lake's shore had changed. Now there was less land. Maybe about a fox-length of what used to be land was now underwater forever. But they could make this work. Baby steps was all it took to get things running back to normal.

The Clans split up for the first time in a long time, each running back to their territories despite their exhaustion.

Poppyfrost streaked across the moor with her group, embedded deep in the heart of the ThunderClan crowd. She wasn't about to get left behind now.

The moment they all plunged into their own forest again, the sighs of relief and yells of glee were clear, ringing in everyone's ears. They ran and ran, crashing through the busted thorn tunnel.

The sight before Poppyfrost's eyes was shocking.

A huge chunk of rock lay in the center of the clearing. The cats looked around, wondering where it came from, and gasped when they saw it had come off the Highledge. Now, the Highledge was significantly shorter, but it still jutted out far enough for there to be a ledge at all.

A sodden gray body was thrown carelessly to the side. There was a sob from Millie.

Besides that was the expected fallen tree limbs and the dens… completely washed away.

"We'll make it through this," Berrynose assured his mate.

Poppyfrost nodded curtly. She beamed as Molefoot rounded around the huge rock, dipping his head to his Clanmates. She didn't care about anything else at the moment. Right now, all that mattered was that they were back. They were home.

See you at A New Destiny! Thanks for everything!
