Thanks to 4everallways, Lilietje99, tabelizbeck, Guest, Guest, and the other Guest for reviewing Ch. 20! Alright, back to battle!

Tessa was so overjoyed by Will's appearance. But this wasn't logical at all.
"Is logic extremely necessary at the moment?", he asked her, making her realize that she spoke her thought out loud.
"By the Angel, no."
He smiled at her with a smile that was just so Will. She just wanted to lean in and kiss the lips she had missed for almost a century.
So she did.
Even though she was kissing Will Herondale, something felt wrong, off. She realized in horror at her mistake. How could she be so stupid? She pushed him off of her.
"Tessa! What's wrong?", he asked, pretending to be surprised.
"Stop the ruse."
"Alright, fine. Just one thing."
He stabbed her in the chest without hesitating. She watched him smile in satisfaction before he ran off, leaving her writhing on the ground in pain.

Magnus watched as Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern walked towards him. Magnus tried doing something to him, but no matter how much power he used, Jonathan remained unaffected.
"Don't even bother trying, warlock. I tricked another warlock to spell me. I'm immune to warlock magic now. Never mind, I'm getting off topic. Do me a favor, and tell me who your father is."
Magnus froze; he never liked talking about his father. "You care because?"
"Well, there's a lot of talk in Downworld about your 'famous' father. So, who is it?"
The way Magnus' breath had sounded, rattling in his chest, before he'd said his father's name.
"Lucifer," Magnus whispered.
"Lucifer!? The angel cast out of heaven, the demon of all demons, the devil himself?"
"Yes, your point is?"
"Well...never mind. But tell me, how much would your daddy care if you died?"
Magnus scoffed. "He hasn't a care for me at all."
"Good, so he won't mind if I did this?"
Jonathan swung his seraph blade at Magnus. As it neared him, Magnus realized that it was the complete opposite of a seraph blade. The light emerging it wasn't white or a soft blue; it was black and demonic runes were engraved onto the hilt. The sword was so close now, its point almost in his chest. He prepared himself for the pain as-
"STOP!"
Jonathan pulled the blade away and brought it back to his side as he turned around. Magnus saw Alec standing there, bow and arrow in his hand.
Give me one good reason why I should stop," Jonathan said.
"Because you said that if I joined your side, you wouldn't hurt him."
"Oh yeah, I did. But you're fighting for your Institute now, rendering that deal useless. So really, nothing can stop me now."
"Except me."
Jonathan scoffed. "Are you asking for a fight, Lightwood?"
"What if I am?", Alec shot back.
"Then you'll be killed along with the rest of your little Institute friends."
"You can talk the talk but can you actually live up to it?"
"I'll prove it to you."
"Finally. Just let me get weapon of real caliber." Alec pt his bow down and pulled out his seraph blade. He moved closer and Jonathan got his blade ready. Magnus watched them begin slashing at each other.

Jace watched as Clary fought a Drevak demon. She was surprisingly good for a beginner. Well, he did train her himself. He watched as the demon fell to the ground.
"Impressive!", he shouted.
She turned around and shot him a smile. Suddenly, he felt a gruesome pain on his arm. Through his blurred vision, he saw Clary running towards him.
"Jace! Jace, what's wrong?", she asked.
"I...I don't know." He painfully pulled up his shirt sleeve to the spot where the pain dominated. He was filled with horror when he realized what had happened.
His parabatai rune had faded to silver.

Tessa got up from her spot on the ground. Luckily, Sebastian had missed her heart. She got up and spotted Jem across the field. Picking up her fallen seraph blade, she ran to join him in battle.

Alec felt the sword pierce his heart. He fell to the ground in agonizing pain. Nothing, absolutely nothing felt as bad as this. But soon enough, the pain overtook him and he closed his eyes, letting go of the pain...
...letting go of his life.

Isabelle saw her brother fall onto the ground in front of Sebastian. She immediately stopped what she was doing and rushed over to her brother. When she got over there, Alec wasn't breathing. She only looked up once and she saw Jace walking-well, really limping-towards Alec, Clary helping him move. Isabelle looked up at Sebastian in disgust.
"You bastard! What have you done to my brother?!", she screamed.
"He's just taking a nap for...ever basically."
She couldn't take it anymore. She stood up and unleashed her whip on Sebastian. She managed to get a good shot and hit him in the stomach. He gripped his abdomen for a bit before standing up straight again.
"Lightwood bitch!"
"Quite frankly, I don't care if you call me a bitch because in case you forgot, you killed both of my brothers.
"You know you're just like Alec, you can talk, but you can't actually fight."
"Oh, can't I?" She pulled out her seraph blade. "Bring it on."
"Alright, let's get this over with." He began slashing at her, but luckily, she managed to duck out of the way. She pulled her whip out again and wrapped it around his ankles. She pulled and he fell to the ground.
But he was far from beaten.
As she walked towards him, he pulled her leg and pulled, making her join him on the ground. They both quickly got up, but he was faster.
His hand closed around her neck and his finger was at her windpipe before she could have a chance to fight back.

Jace and Clary were frozen in place. They were too shocked by what was happening to even move. So, they just stood there, watching with fear and sadness as Magnus mourned Alec and as Sebastian choked Isabelle. They watched as she struggled to let go.
She was failing miserably.

Isabelle felt herself stop feeling. Sebastian dropped her onto the ground as if she weighed nothing. And to be honest, she felt as if she didn't weigh anything. Her sadness, anger, mourning, and fear all disappeared. There was no more struggle, no more fear, no more pain. She knew what was happening and she wasn't afraid, not anymore.
So she simply
let
go.

The worst possible scenario happened then. Jace and Clary watched Isabelle fall to the ground. Even from where they were, they could see her stop breathing. Sebastian looked at them and smiled a smile that reminded Clary of the Cheshire Cat. He ran off, most likely knowing that he left Jace without his parabatai, Clary without a friend, Simon without his girlfriend, Magnus without his boyfriend, Robert and Maryse without any children, and the world without Isabelle Sophia Lightwood and Alexander Gideon Lightwood.
And there was nothing they could do.
Not anymore.
