A/N: Hey everyone, I know its been a while since I teased the idea of getting rid of a chapter and continuing on with the story. I'm sorry for upsetting some of you for that chapter, I've just always wanted to end a chapter that way, so I hope this new chapter can make it up to you. With Christmas just three or two days out depending on where you live, I thought I'd give you a present being this new chapter! I hope you all enjoy reading and have an awesome Christmas. Taking a deep breath in and out, I was nervous as hell in a couple of minutes I'd be out playing my first basketball game for the school and I was a little nervous.

I heard a voice ask "You ready?"

Looking up to see Dylan standing in the entrance of the female locker room, I replied with "Yeah," I stood up from the bench with my towel and followed him out and into the boys locker room.

Coach then shout "Alright guys, today is the first game for Toby and Emily, if they mess up don't be mad but if they do it again then you can be mad," I smiled to myself and looked across the room to see Toby was as nervous looking as I probably was.

Coach said "Alright, let's go out there and try to win," he placed his hand in the middle and we did the same.

We all then shouted at the same time "Goooo Sharks!" before tossing our hands up. We then started to pat each other's back and start to get really excited.

Toby said "Hey you nervous?"

I replied with "Yeah, you?"

Toby said "Absolutely terrified."

I smiled and said "Let's just go have fun, yeah?"

Toby replied with "Yeah!" The other guys all then said it as well; we looked around at each other before nodding our heads and made our way out of the locker room. Walking out I saw the other team on the other side of the court practicing, I looked up into the stadium to find Ali, Mona, Noel Spencer, Hanna, Aria, My Mum, surprisingly Jason was there as well, Jenna and the guys I played basketball with Noel on Saturdays.

Kyle another guy on the team said "Wow big cheer squad."

I replied with "Yeah, hopefully I won't let them down."

Toby said "You won't," he patted me on the back and we went to put our towel and water on the bench. Looking up at my cheer squad for Ali but I didn't see her which made me panic before I saw her running down the steps and over to me.

Ali said "Hi."

I replied with "Hey, what are you doing down here?"

Ali said "I wanted to wish you good luck before the game started," I nod my head and that's when Ali leant forward to kiss me.

I heard a voice ask behind me "Can we all get some of that luck?"

I looked over to see all the team standing there, I replied with "You wish," before lightly punching Dylan in the ribs.

Ali then said "Emily," she pushed my shoulder.

I replied with "What?"

Ali said "Nothing, I'll see you after the game."

"You bet you will, for our first date too."

"What do you mean?"

"Well I didn't want to put pressure on you with our first date, so Noel came up with the idea that we double date with him and Mona; which is what we are doing after the game."

"Where are you taking us?"

I heard my Coach yell "Fields game time!"

I say "Sorry, have to go," I pecked Ali quickly on the lips before running out onto the court.

I watched as the other team laughed and said "What you guys sick of losing so you brought a girl in, to help you lose better."

I smile at the guys on my team and reply with "You guy will go easy on me right? I mean I'm just a girl playing a man's sport right," I blinked my eye lashes a bit.

Smart mouth said back "Of course we will, won't we guys?"

I watched as they all nodded their head, smiling at my teammate before replying with "Thank-you so much."

The ref said "Alright let's play," he throws the ball up and blows his whistle at the same time. Toby knocked the ball back to Kyle, the guy who was on me was blocking me extremely so I lightly elbowed him in the ribs and Kyle passed me the ball. I took off running down the court to our hoop; I dodge a guy and went up for the perfect layup and the ball fell into the net.

Smart mouth said to me "Hey no fair."

I replied with "What I'm just playing a man sport," I then angrily stepped on his foot and the other team shout but the ref let it go. When the buzzer for a half time went our team was down by ten points, I had already been given three personal fouls.

As we walked off the court, smart mouth said "That's what happens when you let a girl play a man's sport," I went to charge at him but Toby and Dylan held me back.

Coach came over and said "Emily cool it."

I replied with "Okay," I put my hands up in surrender before sitting annoyed down on the bench. Toby chucks me my towel and Coach goes into the game plan for this half, he has come up with some really good plays that we can all do if we work as a team.

Coach said "Everyone clear?"

"Yes!" we all shouted back at him. When the ground broke away from the pack, I look up into the stand behind me to see Ali having a really in depth conversation with Mona. I saw Noel tap Ali on the knee and point towards me, Ali looks over at me and smiled; which makes me smile back.

I felt someone tap my ear, looking back I saw it was Dylan and he shouted "Get your head in the game."

I replied with "It is," the ref called out that half-time was over. Taking a quick sip of water and wiping the remainder of sweat from my brow, I chucked them onto the bench and headed out onto the court. As Dylan threw the ball into Toby, I got a cheap shoulder to the back knocking me down onto my feet but the ref was looking the other way so no free.

Getting back up I saw Toby was dribbling the ball down the court but was soon stop and was looking for someone to pass it off. I took off running as fast as I could down towards the open space I had seen, once in it I shouted out for the ball and Toby passed it over. Dribbling towards the hoop, I did a 360 around a player and went up for a slam dunk.

Jumping down from the hoop I was given high-fives from my teammates as the crowd roared but the game was far from ours. As the siren sounded for the end of the game just as an opposition player took a three point shoot. We all stood and watched as it bounced around the hoop before falling in for the three points which gave them a two point win. The opposition team and supports that had come to watch the game all started jumping up and down, while our team and supporters were deflated. I fell down onto the ground absolutely devastated about the lost, placing my hands over my eyes to wipe the dripping sweat out of them.

I hear Dylan's voice say "Come on Emily, we have to go shake the other team's hand," looking up I see Dylan holding out a hand. Taking his head he boosts me up from lying on the ground and he leads the whole team over to the opposition who are still celebrating. Stopping their celebration they all shook our heads, I turned to be a good sport but I hate to lose and so I just kept smiling.

One of the opposition players that I was shaking hands with said "See, this is what happens when you let a little girl play a man's sport." It was all a blur one minute I was shaking his hand and then the next I was being put onto a stretcher and into an ambulance with Ali hovering over me with a scared look on her face, then the next everything went dark.

Fluttering my eyes open to close them again because it was very bright, I let out a groan and tried opening my eyes once again but slower this time. In my view was a white ceiling and I could hear a beep sound, my view was then covered by Alison concerned face and what also looked relief.

I asked a little confused and hazy "What happened?"

Alison replied with "You being an idiot is what happened," she smiled down at me while I looked up at her confused.

"After you finished playing your game, you were shaking an opposition hand and then you just start hitting him. He hit you back, he gave you two broken ribs and a concussion which is why you black out," I nodded my head really trying to follow along with what she was saying but I was feeling really tired and drowsy.

I asked "Where's my Mum?"

"I wanted to make sure you were okay before I called her," I nodded my head.

Ali asked "Do you want me to go ring her?"

"No, It's okay," I smiled up at Ali and she smile down at me.

"Do you need anything? The doctor said you couldn't eat anything yet but you could have some water."

"Water would be great but you need to do one thing first."

"Anything?" Ali replied with.

"You need to take a deep breath and say to yourself that I'm okay, I am going to be okay, can you do that?" Alison nodded her head and I watched as she took a deep breath in, she then lipped what I had said over and over again. I could see Alison instantly relax, she then moved out of my sight and I assumed it was to get me my water.

I asked "Can you help me sit up?"

"Sure," I heard Alison reply with before moving into my view and even though it hurt like hell Alison helped me sit up.

"Here you go," Alison holds a cup out with a straw but when I tried to take the cup she wouldn't allow it. Alison brought the straw up to my lips and took a few sips, which did a greatly for my throat.

"Thanks beautiful," Alison placed the cup back down on the cupboard and sat down on the bed.

"What happened out there?" Alison asked.

I replied with "He just said something that pissed me off."

"I gathered that from the fight but what did he say?"

"He said that's the reason girl's shouldn't be allowed to play basketball, I just snapped I guess."

"Emily," Alison face soften as she cupped my face with her hand.

"I'm sorry, you know how I am with that kind of stuff."

"Oh believe me I know, I know more so know," I smiled up at Alison as she leant forward to peck my lips.

"Seeing you completely out of it as the guy kept hitting you, your beautiful was torture and the trip in the ambulance was unbearable. It was only a couple of minutes, I have no idea how you survived two years without me here in your life."

"It wasn't easy and in a lot of ways I gave up, giving up was my way of dealing with you not in my life."

"You are pretty strong, did you know that?" I shook my head while Alison smiled at me and she went to kiss me until the door open.

My Doctor I assumed because of his white coat said "Ah good to see you're back Emily," he started doing all these doctor test to make sure everything was okay with me.

My Doctor said "Everything seems good here. Now you're going to be in quite a lot of pain over next few weeks, you have two broken ribs and they take a while to repair. You've got a few bruises here and there which should heal in a few weeks. Do you have any question or concern?"

Ali asked before I could say a word "Is she allowed to eat?"

Mr Doctor replied with "Yes, I'll have a plate of food spent up here straight away."

Ali asked another question "Is there anything she's not allowed to do?"

My Doctor answered with "Nothing to energy consuming like rough sport, any sport actually, stairs should be avoided if possible and just be really careful. Emily your certainly going to be in a lot of pain, so I hope that fight was worth it."

"Every second," I replied while trying not to show my annoyance in him.

My Doctor said "Your principal is here to see you, are you up for it?"

"Well it's not going to be good but sure I'm up for it," I replied with while trying to prepare myself for what was about to happen. Mr Davidson walked into the room with not a happy look on his face, I gulp out of nervousness and it made Alison look at me concerned.

Mr Davidson said "What a night, hey Emily? You've clear had this agenda planned from the start, to get back at me for making you swim or was it something else just as crazy."

"No Mr Davidson Sir, I enjoyed playing basketball," I replied while becoming scared at his tone of voice.

"Okay what was it then? You couldn't handle losing? It was just a game Emily, I understand it was your first and last game but still."

"Wait, what do you mean last game?"

Mr Davidson said "What you didn't think they're would consequences for your actions tonight? Your off the team Emily, we can't have a loose cannon like you on the team and especially not after tonight. On top of that you are suspended from school for two weeks and you better change your god dam attitude, your pissed at everyone we get but you've got Alison back now move on. The school was really trying to help you Emily, with swimming, with basketball and even the play, I'll give you one thing you have incredible acting skills. You accept our help but it was just an act, to throw it all in our faces." He was so god dam lucky I couldn't move because of my broken rib or else I would be giving him a pair right now.

I replied with "Maybe I didn't want your help? Did you ever wonder that? I don't need anybody's help but the people I let in which is only six people, Alison, my Mum, Noel, Mona, Jenna and Toby; everyone else can get stuffed."

"It's time to start looking yourself in the mirror Emily and ask whether you like the person you see in mirror, do you even know who you are anymore?"

"Yeah I do see myself in the mirror every day and I am happy with the person I am today, that I will be tomorrow and the days after that. It wasn't an act Mr Davidson, I maybe a loose cannon but I had good shot at winning a champion chip game, now the team will never win. I don't care that I'm off the team, I was happy there but you are the one that kicked me off it and now let's see what I can really do in my free-time at school."

Mr Davidson said "Stop acting like everyone should be focusing on you, you aren't the only human being in the world," I could see Mr Davidson lips moving but I couldn't hear a word he was saying. My heart felt like it was beating a hundred beats per second, just incredible fast and then I felt my body start to seizing. I heard piercing scream, locating it to Alison who I could see was crying and being held back by Mr Davidson, I tried to reach out for but my limps weren't working. I saw the door burst open with my doctor and tons of nurses, a mask was then put over my face and I don't remember anything after that.

Alison P.O.V

I knew something was wrong with Emily the minute she didn't stop Mr Davidson from talking, then when she's started to seizure it scared me badly. I went to stop her but Mr Davidson starting pulling me back, I tried fighting him but he was grown man and I just wasn't strong enough. I yelled for help when I saw Emily look at me and in came a bunch of people, I watch as they laid her back down and put a mask over her mouth. We are then pulled from the room and are out in the waiting room, I was terrified I was going to lose Emily and I just couldn't lose her; not now. It seemed like hours before I saw Emily's doctor leave the room and make his way of to Mr Davidson and I.

I asked while standing "What happened? You said Emily would be fine."

He replied with "As Emily is underage you have to be aware in what happened, I just had to talk to Emily first before coming to speak with you. On the first and second check it appeared Emily was fine but on the third one we found a needle mark on Emily's big toe, it seems Emily was drugged whoever it was is an amateur. The drug injected into Emily was a mixture of heroin and cocaine but it was lethal dose, whoever drugged Emily they wanted Emily to dead." I couldn't believe what I was hearing someone had tried to kill Emily and my first though was my attacker, that thought scared me.

I asked "Can we go in doctor?"

He replied with "Yes but please don't aggravate her, she knows someone tried to kill her," I nodded my head and made my way back towards the room. Entering the room as quickly as possible but without startling Emily, the sight before me breaks my heart because Emily is on the floor in tear and the whole room has been destroyed. Crouching down slowly in front of Emily, I watch her slowly open her eyes and when she sees it's me she instantly crushes herself on top of me. As I am holding Emily, rocking her from side to side in the hopes that Emily would calm down and go to sleep.

I began to wonder if this is how Emily felt when she found me, whether her heart felt like it was going to explode from beating extremely hard. Every fibre in my body was feeling Emily's pain because I had been where she was, someone had tried to kill me dozens of time but he never did. I hadn't told Emily yet about how many times he killed me and then brought me back to life, he would always laugh at me gasping for breath and I knew I'd never forget that laugh. Fear becomes me when I think that this guy was the one to have tried to kill Emily, in an attempt to get me and feel myself pull Emily even close and tighter to me.

"I love you Emily with all my heart, with every fibre of my being and I never want to be without you ever."

"Love you too," I heard Emily whispered out before her head lulled to one side and her breathing evened out; Emily had fallen asleep. Kissing Emily on top of her head as I did so I heard a light knock on the door and looking over my shoulder I saw it was Noel and Mona.

"Hey," I whisper to them and watch as they take in the room.

Mona asked "What happened?"

I replied with "Can you straighten the bed for me and help me get Emily into it, then I can explain."

"Sure thing," both Noel and Mona said at the same time. Not wanting to disrupt Emily from her sleep since she had just fallen asleep, I stay where I was while Mona and Noel moved to tip the bed back onto the wheels. I wondered how Emily had managed to flip it and no hospital stuff had heard, or come to check on Emily; I really wonder if this hospital was any good at all.

Seriously though, Emily told me these are where my remains were brought and they claimed those bones were mine; which they clearly are not. Now with Emily alive patient they barely check up on her, you'd think they'd put it at the top of your list of things to do; I mean you just told a patient someone tried to kill them. Shaking my head out of the thoughts I saw they had managed to get the bed on the wheels, Mona was currently placing the table up the right way and Noel had crouched down to my level.

Noel asked "I think it will be easier if I pick her up," I nod my head agreeing with him. We slowly which places I moved out of Emily's arms and he moved into them, and then when he was ready he lift Emily up with him. I looked at him like he was insane to have that much strengthen in his legs and upper body; though I think I was jealous of him for being able to lift up my girlfriend when I couldn't. Once Noel placed Emily on the bed, I moved toward the bed and start to cover Emily up with the blankets.

After tucking Emily into bed, I leant down and kissed Emily on the forehead and turning back around to face Noel and Mona who were wrapped up into each other's arms. Following behind Noel and Mona as we left Emily's room, as much as I didn't want to be too far away from Emily but I'd hate for her to wake up, to her me talking about her and feel annoyed at me for talking about her. Leading the couple into the waiting room where we found Toby, Jenna and Mr Davidson sitting in the room, I couldn't help the glare that came up when I saw Mr Davidson.

"Alison," Mr Davidson said after witnessing me glaring at him.

I replied with "Look I don't want to be rude or anything but I can't talk to you right now, I need to tell our friends what's going on and then get back to my girlfriend. When Emily is fit enough to return to school, we'll come to your office first thing and we'll work out what happens from there."

"Okay, I'll inform Mr Martins that he'll have to find two new leads for the play," Mr Davidson said before taking his coat and leaving. Running my fingers through my hair, I had completely forgotten about the play and it was supposed to be showing on Monday.

I asked facing Noel and Mona "Are you two okay with taking the leads?"

Mona replied with "Sure," Noel nodded his head. I think Noel would almost do anything for Emily, I was glad Emily had that person and I couldn't think of anyone better than Noel.

"Hey, I could probably step up and cover Noel's part," I heard Toby's voice say.

Noel asked "Really dude because that'd be like awesome."

Toby replied with "Yeah, I'm a quick study," he and Jenna entered our circle.

Noel said "Okay, I'll go see if I can catch Mr Davidson and see if we can get the drama room open to rehearse tomorrow and Sunday," we all nod our heads at each other and he takes off running carefully since it still is a hospital.

"Mum? Jason?" I question when I see them running up to the counter asking about Emily was my guess.

Mona said "We called them on the way here, including Emily's Mum who is trying to get in contact with Emily's Dad before coming over."

I nodded and said "Thank-you, I had completely forgotten about ringing people."

Jenna said "Your focus had to be on Emily, which we all understand," Mona and Toby nodding their heads helped me feel better about not calling anyone.

"Hey Honey," I heard Mum say as she wrapped me into a hug.

"Hey sis, has there been any news?" Jason asked while hugging me after Mum.

I replied with "Yeah Emily has bruises all over her, two broken ribs and a concussion which is what coursed her to black out."

"How the hell had she manages to destroy her room with two broken rib?" Mona asked surprised at Emily strength.

"Mum, are you able to go sit with Emily until I get in there, I don't want her waking up alone?"

Mum replied with "Sure Honey," Mum smiled at me before heading towards the room I pointed out to her.

Jason asked "Do you want me to go with Mum?"

"No, are you able to ring the girls? I don't know if Emily wants them but right now the best thing for Emily is to know she is love, by literally everyone," Jason nodded his head and made his away outside to do the phone calls.

Toby asked "Why do you think Emily needs to feel loved?"

I replied with "Because it's what I need after someone tried to kill me," I let out a breath and run my fingers through my hair. Saying those words while thinking about Emily seemed criminal or foul because Emily was the sweetest human being alive, the thought of anyone trying to kill her was wrong on so many levels.

Jenna asked "Wait, someone tried to kill Emily?"

"Yeah, she was arguing with Mr Davidson when all of sudden she couldn't talk or move. Soon machines started beeping, Emily's eyes closed and that's when it was discovered someone had poisoned Emily to kill her."

"Wow," they all breathe out. Nodding my head we all look at Emily's door, I could feel everyone's emotions and they were all feeling for Emily.

Toby asked "Why was she arguing with Mr Davidson?"

I respond with "Because of the fight Emily got into, he was kicking her off the team and Emily well didn't take it well."

Mona said "But basketball actually seemed to be working, I mean Emily is certainly a lot calmer."

I replied with "It was and I think having it taken away from Emily was upsetting her the most, she just wouldn't admit it."

"Hey, I was able to catch up to him and he is okay with us using the drama room over the weekend," we heard Noel say excited. After what I told them about Mr Davidson they all tried to show their happiness for Noel but it clearly wasn't working.

Noel asked "Something I said?" he sound completely confused about what was wrong.

I replied with "We are all just annoyed at Mr Davidson but it's great Noel, really it is.

Noel asked "What did he do?" all the excitement and confusion was out of his voice, he was now angry and had a look to kill.

Toby answered with "Mr Davidson was here because he was kicking Emily off the team."

"I'll kill him," Noel said with a look on his face which scared me. Mona went over to Noel, pulled him away from the group and I think she was going to try calm Noel down, as well as tell him what had happened.

I asked "Do you guys want to come with me into see Emily?" Jenna and Toby nodded their heads; I lead them towards the room where Emily would be. Getting to the door I could hear laughing and when I opened the door I found the source, my Mum and girlfriend were laughing together; I didn't know how to feel about that.

"Hey," Emily said towards us and held her arms open. Allowing for Toby to hug Emily first, then Jenna next which was for a lot longer than Toby but when Jenna finished I stepped up to Emily and she pulled me up onto the bed to lay with her.

"Are you okay?" I asked while taking a deep breath of Emily scent. A scent that was always able to calm me within seconds of smelling it, when I was away I truly missed it and now that I was back I wasn't going to take it for granted.

Emily replied with "A bit sore but I'll be all good," I smiled at Emily responds because it was so her and it made me love her even more. It was odd that I was feeling this happy and content even though we were in the hospital, someone had tried to kill Emily but I was okay because I was in Emily's arm. Being in Emily's arms always made me feel safe and like I could rule the room, I don't know how Emily made me like this by just wrapping her arms around me. Feeling lips on my forehead I looked up to see Emily looking down at me, Emily smiled and I smile. I was completely and utterly in love with Emily and I was more than okay with that fact. I didn't care who knew now and I thought I was completely insane for ever caring about what people thought if I was to be in a relationship with Emily; I was an idiot back them. I was then thrusted into a tightly squeezed hug with Emily, I looked to see Mrs Fields Pam had arrived and was making sure her baby was okay.

Pam asked "Are you okay Emmy? What's broken? Why did you get into a fight? Now I rang your Dad and his going to see about getting time off to come see you." After Pam finished talking and hugging us, I helped Emily sit up from out slouched precision we had comfortable gotten into.

Emily replied with "I'm fine Mum, I only have two broken ribs and I have my reason. Dad doesn't have to come home just for me, I'm okay."

Pam looked at my Mum and said "Don't you just love the way kids make everything sound like nothing even though they're in a hospital bed," Mum laughed and nodded her head agreeing with her.

Emily said "I am okay though, my ribs will here and I'll be good as new," I knew Emily was just putting this on for her Mum's sake. Soon after that Noel and Mona entered the room, I watched as Noel and Emily looked deeply into each other's eye having a private conversation and I felt like I was intruding on an important moment. A smile then appeared on both of their faces, they squeezed 'their girls' shoulders and pecked us on our temple. Mona looked at me questioning, I just shrugged my shoulder and began to giggle as Emily start kissing my face all over.

It wasn't long after that when Jason entered the room with very concerned and worried Hanna, Spencer and Aria behind him. Emily had been a little stand-offish with them but after learning I wanted them here, she seemed to calm down though she and Jason seemed to have this weird understanding. The room was full with a lot of people who all cared a lot about Emily; it was exactly what I want for Emily to see that people loved her and wanted her around. Smiling up at Emily one last time before snuggling into her and falling asleep, I was really exhausted and didn't think people would've minded me sleeping.
