Happy two years Austin & Ally! Great, great show, obviously ;]

I didnt want to drag the drama out with Ross' family much longer. The damn secrets Ross, Ratliff and Rydel have been hiding NEEDED to come out. Not my best, but I hope it works. Enjoy!

There were too many secrets going around, Laura thought as she watched the band play at their show the next evening. Rydel and Ross were keeping a few huge things from their brothers, and though it wasn't in her place to say anything, she thought it was still very unfair to Riker, Rocky and Ryland. It was even unfair to keep it from Stormie! Though, they had their reasons and if she was in their predicament, she'd probably feel the same way as well.

Sighing, she stayed backstage with Calum who was clapping his hands and dancing along to most of the songs.

Though, he still seemed to notice something was off, "why aren't you as into this as I am?"

Laura shrugged, "I don't know. I'm just tired, I guess."

"Right, I believe that," Calum looked over her head for a moment before he gently led her to a quieter part of the backstage area. "Talk to me, what's up?"

Laura sighed, "it's nothing, really. Well, it's something actually, but I can't say anything. I promised I wouldn't and… I don't want to betray anyone's trust if I were to say something."

"Wow, that sounds like quite the predicament." Calum blinked.

Laura nodded, "tell me about it."

"Well, why don't you—" Calum began, but Laura's eyes were focused behind him, wide, her mouth dropped open. "What?" He turned around to see what she was seeing, "oh, great."

She moved passed him, "Mark? What are you doing here? Not that it's any of my business, but do you think it's smart to be here right now?"

"I invited him," Stormie came up to them. "I wanted him to be here to see his children play their show."

"Look, I'm all for family reunions and all that, but after what he did to Ross…" She trailed off, "I'm sorry, but I can't support this."

Calum was confused and still standing behind her, but he was smart enough not to say anything.

"Look, Laura, I know you don't approve of me right now, but I really do care for my kids and I do want to apologize to Ross." Mark told her, but Laura just shook her head. Calum (and Stormie for that matter) were pretty surprised. Normally, Laura was respectful and nice, but it seems she had her reasons to be cold, not that they actually knew what they were.

"Why? You're going to apologize and then hit him again? Is that it? Because I know how this works. I've seen it enough in my own family. Maybe a little different because of the two situations, but still the same."

She could see Mark was getting angry with her. "I don't see what my son sees in you, I really don't." He said and Laura stepped back, shocked and hurt. "You're nothing but trouble."

"I am?" Laura looked at him in disbelief, "have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? Do you feel any guilt at all for what you've done to this family? Do you?" She held her hands up, "you know what, this isn't my family, I will support my boyfriend whether or not you like it, and I will be there for him, but I'm not going to get in a fight with you," She narrowed her eyes, "it's not worth it." She then looked away, "excuse me," she mumbled and walked passed them to go back to watching the show. Calum followed after her, knowing well that if he were to say something, shit would go flying all over the place and that was the very last thing he wanted.

"Whoo!" Ross was smiling big as got off the stage after the band's concert was over. He shook out his hair and walked up to Laura and Calum, Laura smiled up at him, though in her eyes, he could see she was upset about something. "That was amazing!" He said and Laura nodded.

"I'd hug you, but you're all sweaty and gross and—"

He grinned at her, "just come here. Give me a hug." He opened his arms wide and then before she could say anything they were around her, hugging her close. He picked her up and spun her around as she giggled. "Still gross?"

She nodded, "still gross."

He playfully rolled his eyes and then looked at her closely. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be? You had an amazing show, I was here for it and I'm feeling pretty damn good right now." He chose to believe her, because really, he didn't want to start an argument with her.

"Okay." He said quietly and then reached down to kiss her, she kissed him back, only for about a second, before she broke the kiss.

"Laura!" Rydel squealed and Laura immediately went to her, hugging her tight. Ross, however was still confused and walked over to Calum.

"She's lying to me, isn't she?"

"How the—look, dude, let her come to you okay? Some major drama went down earlier and… it doesn't look like she wants to talk about it. So enjoy your after show glow and let whatever's up with her go for now."

Ross nodded, "Alright."

"On a happier note though, dude! Your show rocked! Killer guitar solo. You gotta teach me that."

Ross laughed, high-fiving him. "Will do, bro, will do."

He then caught Laura's eye, but she looked away. He frowned, but like Calum suggested, chose to let it go, for now.

He turned to go join everyone else, starting up a new conversation with Calum when he looked up and stopped midsentence.

"Dad?"

"Hi guys." Mark nodded, "your show was great, as always. Great, great job."

Ross glared at him, "If this is an attempt to apologize, you're really sucking at it."

"Ross!" Stormie gave him a look.

"I'm not going to forgive him, not for anything." He emphasized the last word. "In fact, all I want to do right now is push you in front of something." He attempted to walk passed Mark, but Mark grabbed his arm, pushing him back in front of him. He stumbled, but managed to stay upright.

"Ross, don't—" Rydel began, but Ross shook his head.

"No, he can't get away with this! I'm not going to let him get away with shit anymore! What the fuck makes it okay for you to think it's okay to come to a concert and just say how great it was? You act like everything's just perfect with us, but it isn't and you know it. Stop pretending like everything's okay!"

"Ross!" Stormie yelled at him, but he didn't stop.

"Tell them." He stared at him, hard. "Tell them about her."

Mark actually looked confused for a moment. "Who's 'her'?" He used finger quotes.

"You know exactly who 'her' is," Ross answered.

"Ross don't do it," Ratliff grabbed his arm and pulled him toward him. "What the hell are you doing?"

"He just pushed me, why? Because I tried to walk passed him? No. That's not cool, I'm not going to let him get away with hurting me, Rydel, my mom or anyone else anymore!"

"Ross, what are you talking about?" Rocky demanded as Rydel looked down at her feet.

"Someone better start talking," Riker added, but Ross shook his head.

"You know what? Forget I said anything. He's not going to admit to it and it's only going to be my word against his, so fuck it. I'm out." He put his hands up and then walked out of the area, ignoring everyone's calls to come back.

"What is he talking about, Mark?" Stormie asked, but Mark shook his head.

"I have no clue."

"No, dad, you know exactly what," Rydel glared at him and then went after Ross. Ratliff, Laura, and Calum did the same, while everyone just stood there, confused and curious. All except Mark, who was just pissed off, though he managed to hide it pretty well to everyone else.

"Ross! Ross! Stop!" Laura finally caught up to him, which wasn't easy in her heels, and grabbed his wrist, spinning him around. Luckily, she noticed she hadn't grabbed the injured one. "What was that back there? Why would you do that?"

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me, I was just pissed off!"

"Why?" Laura demanded.

"Because he thinks it's okay to show up, tell us we did great after what a few days of disappearance? And Rydel catching him with that other woman or whatever and then her confession to me, do you think I'm exactly happy he's here or up for compliments from him? Do you?" Ross yelled at her and she stepped back.

"No, I don't, not at all." She answered quietly. Ross just covered his face with his hands and then stepped away from her.

"He pushed me with the wrist I hurt yesterday, that's what set me off." He told her, "I'm sure he saw it was bandaged, but you know as usual he doesn't give a shit about anyone else but himself!"

"Okay, Ross, you need to calm down." Laura told him, "you're going to do something you'll regret if you don't."

"What like push my dad in front of the tour bus? I'd love to do that."

"No, you wouldn't. As much as you hate him right now, he's still your father."

"Would you do that to yours?"

"We have completely different reasons for hating our fathers. Okay? Very different. My father abandoned me probably from birth, yours—"

"Hit me and hit Rydel, and hasn't even fucking stopped." Ross interrupted her. "Oh and he's cheating on my mom, so you know, real fucking winner there."

"Wait, what do you mean he hasn't stopped hitting Rydel?"

"He started when she was a kid, well, here since we're in Colorado, and kept it up because of what I'm sure of is his anger towards me."

"No, Ross, you cant blame yourself for that." Laura shook her head. "You can't."

"But it is my fault!" He exploded, "He hit her because he was mad at me for auditioning and then taking the part of Austin. But you know maybe he had his reasons, maybe he's hated me my whole life and I didn't know it, because he was always… I don't know. I don't know how to explain it."

"He's a grown man, Ross. He made his own decisions and none of them were because of your influence."

"How do we know he hasn't done anything else to Rydel? She's the only girl in the house other than my mom, how do we know he hasn't—"

"Don't think like that, you'll drive yourself crazy." Laura stepped closer, putting her hand on top of his, he looked at her. "You didn't do anything to make him choose to do what he did. You didn't, okay?"

"You don't know that."

"Yes I do. If it wasn't true, your brothers, Rydel, your mom, they'd all resent you, but they don't. They love you."

She then hugged him and he nodded against her shoulder, they stood like that for a few moments, before she pulled away. "Okay." He whispered. "Okay." And then he softly kissed her.

She, on the other hand, chose wisely to keep what Mark said to her to herself. She wasn't about to drive Ross to the edge. He had enough to think about and knowing if he knew what happened between his girlfriend and his father, would just make things much worse.

"That kid needs to learn to keep his damn mouth shut," Mark paced back and forth in Ryland's dressing room, Ryland, Riker, and Rocky sitting in front of him on the couch, while Stormie sat in the chair across from them. "He's being so disrespectful and—"

"Can you blame him?" Rocky demanded, "we all saw what you did, it's not like you're going to be forgiven for it like that." He snapped his fingers, "I wouldn't forgive you or be so warm towards you either."

"Why are you here?" Ryland asked, "you set Ross off, great accomplishment, what do you want from us now?"

"I wanted to apologize to him, but—"

"Bullshit." Riker cut him off. "All you've done by showing up here is cause more problems."

"He's right." Stormie agreed. She looked at Riker, "I'm sorry, it was my idea to invite him and I shouldn't have."

"It's okay, mom." Ryland spoke for them.

"No," Stormie stood up, shaking her head, "it isn't. Mark, you know what you did Ross was unacceptable, and I can't have you around him or anyone else right now."

"What are you saying?"

She looked right at him. "I'm saying leave, now. Or I'll have security escort you out if you refuse, whatever you want." She waved him off and then sat back down. She didn't say anything and neither did anyone else.

Without another word, he stormed out.

Laura rested her head on Ross' chest as he played with the ends of her hair, her hand tangled in his hair, she began to rub his head. He smiled against her neck and she kissed the top of his head.

After a few moments, he lifted his head to look at her and was just about to kiss her when he heard a door slam and turned his head to see his father storm away from the buiding.

Their eyes connected and he stormed over to where Ross and Laura were.

"What the hell were you thinking back there?" Mark demanded, "and more importantly what the hell were you talking about?"

Ross didn't say anything, instead choosing to ignore him and play with Laura's hair.

"Ross?" Mark demanded and when didn't answer again, leaned in close to him. "What you're man enough to yell at me in front of our family, but not man enough to talk to me face to face?"

"No, I just don't care anymore. I don't want to talk to you, see you, or even be within three hundred feet from you. I just want you gone. Out of my life…" Ross stared directly at him. "For good." Laura noticed he didn't stop playing with her hair, but didn't say anything, silently cheering on Ross.

"I'm not going anywhere, your mother is still my wife and I'm still apart of this family."

"Yeah, maybe for now." Ross responded cryptically, "but not for much longer."

Laura could see Mark was weakening just a bit. She wasn't sure if he was scared, exactly, but not knowing what both Ross and Laura knew, was probably driving him crazy.

"Stop playing with her hair and talk to me like a man," Mark demanded, but again, Ross just shrugged, but still kept a strand between his fingers, moving it back and forth.

"I'm more of a man than you, that's for damn sure," Ross answered him, finally, looking up at him. "I think I always have been."

"I don't see a man right now, what I'm looking at in front of me, is a child."

Ross suddenly stopped what he was doing with Laura's hair, and pulled his hand away. Laura knew something bad was going to happen now.

But to her surprise, he just stayed where he was and she stayed where she was on his lap, happy and content.

"I'm not the one cheating on my wife," He said, almost nonchalantly as though it was just a normal conversation. His eyes were emotionless as he just stared at his father. "Oh and abusing my son and daughter."

Mark's face turned red and he looked like he was about to say something, but before he could say a word, someone else did.

"What?"

All three of them turned and saw that behind Mark, stood Stormie, Rocky, Riker, Rydel, Ryland, Ratliff and Calum. Riker the one who spoke.

"Yup," Ross sighed, leaning back. "Looks like your secret is out."

"That's—that's not true!" Mark tried to insist, but Rydel shook her head, she angrily walked over to him.

"You can't deny it, I saw you and Ratliff saw you with some slut." She snapped. "Oh and as for the abusing part, I'll just lift up my shirt and everyone can see what you've done to me all these years. Or, we can just look at Ross' face for proof." She glared at him hard, "don't try and deny it now, there's no way you're getting out of this one."

"You can't possibly be serious," Mark was tripping over his words. "They're both lying!"

"Are they?" Rocky asked, he nodded towards Ross. "We all saw you hit him, that's all the proof I need."

"As for the infidelity stuff," Riker began, "we've got three witnesses. So, try again."

Laura wanted to cheer, but knew it was inappropriate. Ratliff turned towards her, catching her eye and she gave him a nod, he nodded back.

"Bye." Rydel waved sweetly at him but then she did something very out of character for her; she gave him the finger. "I hope I never see you again, go live with that slut you've been messing around with behind our backs for years. I hope you're happy with her!" And with that, she stormed passed him, purposely shoving him so that he stumbled a bit. Riker, Ryland and Rocky all shook their heads following after her. Ratliff and Calum went with them and Ross and Laura stood up.

"Doesn't feel good to feel like shit, does it?" Ross asked as he passed by him. He just turned around, shrugging and then followed everyone onto the bus.

Stormie on the other hand, stood there for a few moments, in shock, before she finally came to her senses.

"I want you out," She stated, Mark tried to stay something, but she held her hand up. "I don't want to hear it. Go back to Los Angeles, get all of your stuff and leave." Without another word, she too was gone. Mark was by himself, standing alone, left to deal with what he had so badly screwed up.

It wasn't exactly the best atmosphere to be in, Laura noted. The bus was tense and silent, but it wasn't like she blamed anyone. After finding out what your own father did to your brother, sister, and mother, how else was the right reaction supposed to go?

No one was looking at Ross, Rydel or Ratliff. Ross, though, was strumming a guitar.

"Stop doing that," Rocky snapped at him.

"What, this?" He asked and strummed the guitar again. "I want to do it, so let me fucking do it."

"No." Rocky grabbed it. "If you don't stop, I'm going to throw this out the damn window."

"Good, then you can buy me a new one." Ross shot back. Rocky just let go of it and stormed away, which wasn't much further, as the bus was pretty packed already.

"You know, I just can't believe you kept this a secret for as long as you did," Riker said, looking up and then looking at his brother. "How could you do that?"

"Really?" Ross demanded, "you're going to blame me?" Riker didn't say anything. "I'm so fucking sick of people blaming me for shit! Dad's blaming me for ruining this family and now you are. So, great. Everyone just blame Ross, because he's the fuck up."

"Ross," Rydel said his name gently but he shook his head.

"No, Riker, pretend you were in my position, what would you have done?"

"I would've said something the moment I found out."

"Bullshit." It didn't come from Ross, which surprised everyone. It came from Laura.

"Stay out of this," Ryland snapped at her.

"No." Laura argued back, "I'm not going to watch you tear down my boyfriend for something that wasn't his fault or his problem to begin with. You're all placing blame for what reason? Because you have nothing better to do? I'm surprised you guys hadn't noticed the tension in between Ross and Mark from the beginning."

"I'm starting to think dad was right," Ryland stated a few moments later. "None of this would've happened if it weren't for you." He glared at Ross coldly, "you going to audition for that show was the biggest mistake of your life."

"Fuck you, Ryland." Ross snapped. "If I hadn't gotten Austin and Ally, this band would still be playing gigs for people who didn't give a fuck about us one way or another. So really, fuck you, Rocky and fuck you too, Riker."

The bus stopped at their destination (thankfully) and Ross was the first to storm off.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Riker asked Laura, "stay here, or go after the baby?"

"He's not a baby," Laura stated firmly, "if anything you three are the babies." And with that, she too, left the bus.

Ratliff shook his head disapprovingly, "I knew about it too, guys. But it wasn't in my place to say anything, you know that, but you're not blaming me. Fine, but placing it all on Ross, that's fucked up. It's not his fault he stumbled across it."

"Just like it isn't mine either." Rydel added, "none of it's our fault, but sure go ahead, blame Ross, it's easier that way isn't it? You should be ashamed of yourselves, you selfish jerks!" She was so angry, she just lifted her shirt up and there her brothers (and Ratliff) saw the bruises. "This isn't Ross' fault, this is dad's and if you blame Ross for it, you are officially as worse as dad."

Ratliff and Rydel both left at the point and the three brothers just exchanged looks with each other.

Niether said a word, not knowing what the appropriate thing to say was.

"Hello?" Laura answered her phone, Ross sitting beside her, his head in his hands.

"Laura? It's mom. Where are you?"

"I'm with Calum and Ross, remember I told you I was going to surprise him in Colorado? You said it was fine if Calum, Vanessa, or Raini came with me."

"Yes, I remember." Her mother's voice was cold.

"Did I do something?"

"No, no. It's not you." Laura just looked confused. "Okay, I know you cant see me, but I'm very confused right now."

"Look, you need to come home."

"I can't, Ross really needs me right now, I can't just leave him." Ross lifted his head as she said that.

"It's important, I know you don't care for him very much, but your father was in a very terrible car accident today."

Laura's eyes widened, "what?"

"They don't know if he's going to make it, so… please, come home as fast as you can."

"Mom, I—"

"Laura, I'm ordering for you to come home, you're still under eighteen for the next two weeks, I'm still your mother and I want you home."

Laura closed her eyes and nodded, "okay." She whispered, "I'll see what I can do." She hung up the phone and then opened her eyes.

"What happened?"

"My dad, he was in an accident." Laura answered, standing up. "I'm sorry, Ross, I know you need me here, but I have to go."

Ross nodded and didn't say anything. He was pretty numb to his feelings, she could see it, but she needed him to understand that she couldn't always be there.

It was silent for a few moments, before he looked at her. "I'm coming with you."

"What? No, you need to—"

"We're supposed to leave for LA tomorrow morning anyway, so let's just go now. I want to be a far away from here as I possibly can be."

Laura nodded, "okay." She whispered.

He looked at Rydel, Ratliff and Calum, "you in?"

"Hell yeah, I'm in." Rydel answered and the other two nodded.

"Good, then let's get the fuck out of here." Ross said, a determined look on his face. Laura sighed, knowing him leaving was a bad idea, but knowing that it was good in a way as well. They all needed a break from each other for a while and this was probably the best way to go about it. She only hoped it would end up helping them and not make things even worse.

Yup, now back to Laura's family drama. But it's not going to last long, idk about you, but I'm sick of the drama. But yeah, it's all going to come together very soon. All of it has a purpose and it will all end at some point. Also, spoiler, there's another couple of secrets left. Haha. But the good news is, everything's out in the open now! Don't worry though, everything will get better between Ross and his brothers... or will it? Hmm...
