A month and a half has passed by since then and Kyo and Chiaki were progressing very well in their training. Naomi was working on their training as well as her own. Aizen was coming soon and she wanted to be ready. He was going to pay for what he did.

Naomi overheard that one of Ichigo Kurosaki's friends were captured by Aizen but the Head Captain had refused to go and rescue her because he had called her a "traitor". Naomi didn't know who she was, but Orihime is a friend of their substitute Shinigami and Naomi would of course have gone and rescue her. Unfortunately, she had to stay in the Soul Society.

But what would Naomi do when she is needed on the battlefield?

"You are to stay hidden from Aizen and until I am alone with him, that is when you strike."

Gin had told her that one night and did not like it. Naomi wanted to fight alongside her fellow Shinigami to win against Aizen but now she had to stay hidden? She still wanted to help in this fight, maybe she could just stay away from Aizen.

Naomi was suddenly hit with a lot of information. Ichigo and his friends as well as Rukia and Renji were headed to Hueco Mondo to rescue Orihime. Most of the Captains, lieutenants and seated officers were in Karakura town in the Human world with Aizen, Gin and Tousen who had just arrived with their army of Arrancar. To avoid any damage or injuries to the humans, the Gotei 13 made a fake Karakura town for the battle, which caused Aizen to have to change his plans.

Naomi was requested to either go on the battlefield or in Hueco Mondo and she assured them that she'd be there shortly after preparing her division. Momo headed for the fake Karakura town and Kyo and Chiaki were unsure of what to do. Naomi was the last of the Captains to leave her barracks but she had taken some time to calm them down, assuring that everything was alright. She told them to join Momo in the fake Karakura town but to avoid Aizen and help other Shinigami. With Aizen in the fake Karakura town, Naomi decided to travel to Hueco Mondo. She brought the cloak that hides spiritual pressure just in case. Kyo and Chiaki did as told and they knew they would be alright if they stuck together. Kyo and Chiaki had been training together so often that they knew each other's strengths and weaknesses and could help each other out.

Naomi traveled through the Dangai to get to Hueco Mondo. Meanwhile in Hueco Mondo, Renji, Chad, Ichigo and Rukia were fighting against Yammy, who was already in his Resurrección form. In fake Karakura town, the Vizards had just come to the Shinigami's aid, with one goal on their mind, to defeat Aizen. With the Vizards joining the battle, the Shinigami were having the upper hand.

It took Naomi a while to travel to Hueco Mondo and the first thing she heard was…

"RUKIA!"

Naomi was seeing Byakuya's younger sister Rukia falling towards the ground at a high speed. She had to act quickly! And she did. Naomi quickly flash stepped under Rukia carefully, not to hurt her from the impact. She then flash stepped to the ground and looked at her. "Sorry I'm late. Are you okay, Rukia?" She asked with a smile.

Rukia was surprised at how that all happened. Captain Hitsugaya had saved her so quickly and without hurting her. "Yes, thank you for saving me Captain Hitsugaya."

After Naomi saved Rukia, Ichigo Kurosaki came to Hueco Mondo and started fighting Yammy.

Naomi smiled at her and put her down on her feet. "No need to thank me, Rukia." She looked over at Yammy and Ichigo, who were fighting. "While they are busy, do you have any injuries? I could-"

"It's okay." Rukia smiled. "Don't worry about me, you could see Renji and Chad."

"Sounds-" Naomi was interrupted by Ichigo's scream. She turned her attention to the fight and saw that Byakuya and Kenpachi had appeared, striking Yammy and cutting off the arm that was holding Ichigo.

Ichigo was so surprised that he hadn't noticed he was falling to the ground.

But Naomi acted fast and had caught him. "Are you okay, Ichigo?"

"Yes." Ichigo replied.

Naomi put him down on his feet.

"I think that's the first time I've seen Ichigo being carried like a princess." Rukia stated.

"A sight I wish to see more often." Kenpachi smirked. "You look so helpless."

"Shut up, Kenpachi!" Ichigo spat.

"Oh my goodness, Ichigo Kurosaki getting saved. Usually it's you doing the saving isn't it? I thought that I would see that happen but I didn't think it was this soon!" The voice chuckled.

Ichigo turned around. "Mayuri…Kurotsuchi?"

"Oh, is that how you're going to address me? You're just a substitute Shinigami. Well, since you are addressing Zaraki and Kuchiki by their first names, I guess it can't be helped." Mayuri let out a sigh. He was pushing what seemed like a large black cloth on wheels.

Naomi grinned, seeing her old friend. "Hey, Mayuri!"

"Hey." Mayuri greeted back.

"Oh, so she could call you by your first name?" Ichigo gave him a look.

"Naomi is a friend." Mayuri simply replied.

"And I am not a friend?" Ichigo countered.

"No."

"Quit your blabbering!" Yammy had enough. Here he was waiting and they had been talking amongst themselves. He raised his arm and went to strike Naomi.

Naomi grabbed her sword, turned and slashed his arm off in a swift moment. "Didn't someone ever tell you that it was rude to interrupt people's conversations?"

"Ichigo Kurosaki, you are needed in the human world." Byakuya told him.

"You little-!"

Naomi flash stepped and attacked him again.

Unohana and Isane had appeared in Hueco Mondo and started healing Renji and Chad.

Ichigo nodded and went to see Mayuri, who opened up the portal and then headed to the human world.

Byakuya and Kenpachi flash stepped next to Naomi. "Don't worry about him. Let us take care of this."

Naomi blinked. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, go join Ichigo in the human world. They need you."

Naomi nodded. "Right, be careful!"

"…Who does she think she is talking to?"

Naomi jumped into the portal and headed to the human world.

A couple hours have passed by. Gin and Aizen were talking.

"My, my. I've grown tired of catching mice."

"What will you do with them after you killed them?" Gin asked.

"I'll string their corpses somewhere in the outskirts of town, where they'll be easy to see, then get to work on the Ouken." Aizen moved, pointing his sword towards Gin.

"Sounds good to me." Gin told him. "In that case," Gin placed a hand on Aizen's sword. "I'll handle killing those kids."

"Gin…"

Gin's sword elongated, piercing Aizen where the Hogyoku was.
