Chapter 21: #LoveisLove

Jake squirmed as he felt a hand poking his side. He swatted at the hand and missed. He heard a soft chuckle and opened his eyes. He saw Damien smiling down at him.

"Can I help you?" Jake asked him.

"It's morning," Damien said with a big smile.

"Yeah," Jake said slowly.

"It's thanksgiving," Damien said quickly. Jake nodded his head. "You wanna know what I'm thankful for?" He asked.

"Lay it on me," Jake said sitting up to look at Damien.

"I am thankful for getting to wake up every morning next to my sexy husband," Damien said. Jake opened his mouth but Damien held a hand up. "Not only is he sexy, he's smart, funny, kind, and overall he's just amazing and I thank god everyday that he chose me. I am just so glad that I get to call him mine," Damien said grabbing Jake's hand and bringing it up to his lips.

"You are so corny," Jake said shaking his head. He placed his hand on Damien's chin and pulled him in for a real kiss. Damien smiled into the kiss and wrapped his arms around Jake. However, Jake pushed Damien away. "Don't go getting carried away."

"Aw come on, just a little?" Damien pouted. Jake laughed and pushed his husband away. He stood up and started to get dressed.

"It's already after ten and Adam is gonna be up soon and want to start cooking," Jake said.

"Party pooper," Damien teased.

"Don't you ever get enough?" Jake asked looking to Damien.

"I could never get enough of you," Damien replied with a wink.

"Come on, before Adam starts pestering us," Jake said holding a hand out to Damien. Damien sighed and took Jake's hand. He allowed Jake to pull him from their bedroom. Adam was already up and eating a bowl of cereal.

"Late start Addie?" Damien asked.

"It's this kid, he's not here yet and I'm already always tired," Adam said shaking his head. "So what's your excuse? Laziness?" He asked teasingly.

"I have a day off from school and from work, I decided that I was gonna sleep in for once," Damien replied.

"Lazy," Adam said again.

"Whatever, when do we start getting the turkey ready, that's gonna take the longest," Damien said.

"As soon as I am done eating," Adam said.

"Maybe after I eat," Damien said heading to the fridge.

-We Are-

Kyle sighed as he got out of bed. He wasn't looking forward to today. After his argument with Jared, Kyle wasn't sure where they stood. He hated fighting, but Jared's insecurity over Lilly was getting old. Kyle didn't know any other way to show Jared that he loved him not Lilly.

Kyle started grabbing clean clothes. Leora had to be done with her shower by now. She had been in the bathroom for a half hour now.

"Come on sleepy head, pops wants our help," Leora said walking out of the bathroom. She looked a little surprised to see Kyle awake and up already.

"Why isn't not like we're cooking the meal. He's buying it," Kyle said walking past Leora into the bathroom.

"Don't be such a grouch, he wants help and we are his slaves so hurry up," Leora said.

"Whatever, just let me shower," Kyle said shutting the door on his sister.

Kyle quickly showered and got dressed. He walked back out to the room. Leora was ready to go. Kyle hated that she had become a morning person. It was weird. She never used to be like this before.

Once Kyle was ready to go the pair exited their room and started down the hallway. They ran into Jared and the guys. They were all heading in the opposite direction.

"Hey Leora," Noah said getting the blonde girl with a tame hug.

"Oh sure, you're nice to her," Kyle said rolling his eyes playfully.

"Don't be jelly," Leora said with a grin. "What are you guys doing today?" She asked. She looked between Kyle and Jared and saw they were avoiding each other's gazes.

"Just hanging out here, can wait for out Thanksgiving meal though. Tell your pa this was a nice surprise," Noah said.

"Will do, we actually have to go help him get things ready," Leora said.

"Yeah, we'll see you guys later," Kyle said.

He quickly led Leora away and down the hallway. He stopped at Kendall and James' room. He knocked on the door not looking over his shoulder. He heard the elevator doors slid shut. A glance down the hallway told him the guys were gone.

"What happened?" Leora asked.

"Nothing," Kyle said quickly.

"Sure seems like nothing," Leora commented as the door opened to reveal James and Kendall. Both looked to Kyle a little shocked.

"I wasn't expecting you," James said looking to his son.

"Le told me you wanted help, so I figured I'd come help, is there something wrong with that?" Kyle asked.

"No, we're just shocked is all," Kendall said.

"I can go back to bed if you guys like," Kyle said pointing over his shoulder.

"No, let's go we've got lots to do today," James said.

-We Are-

Lilly yawned as she made her way into the living room. Layla and Miles were sitting on the couch talking and watching TV. Layla said something that made Miles laugh.

"What are you losers up to?" Lilly asked.

"Nothing that concerns you," Layla said snarkily.

"Calm down Lay, I didn't care anyways," Lilly replied.

"Then why ask," Layla asked.

"Ok enough, it's thanksgiving, can't you two be nice to one another for at least one day?" Miles asked.

"Good luck with that, Layla papi wants you in the kitchen," Logan said. Layla jumped up and ran from the room. "By the way, the Kings will be over soon. Hey don't have family in the area and Lucas wanted to come over so we invited Mary and Gerald," he said.

"Sweet," Miles said pulling his phone out. Logan left the two alone.

"Yay, see this is why I don't get why Le had to ditch me for Atlanta," Lilly sighed.

"To be with her dad, thanksgiving is about being thankful Lil, for what you have and not being a brat," Miles said. Lilly's jaw dropped but she quickly closed.

"I guess you're right, sorry," Lilly said looking away from her brother.

"So what's up, what's got you all wound up?" Miles asked.

"Nothing," Lilly sighed.

"Ok then," Miles said. He turned his attention to the TV.

Lilly sat back in her chair. She was still thinking about what had happened with Artie last night. Artie was a nice guy. He made her laugh and made her feel something other than hurt. She wasn't sure why she was pushing him away. Things were complicated and Artie was better off without her.

-We Are-

Jared sat back in his pool chair. The hotel pool was indoor and the guys were all in the pool having a good time. Jared was still thinking about last night though. He hated fighting with Kyle, but it seemed to be all they knew how to do lately.

Jared just wanted Kyle to admit that they were dating. He just wanted some recognition from Kyle. Ok that was a lie, Jared wanted the world to know that Kyle was his. That they were dating and no one else could have him.

"You look so bored."

Jared looked up and saw Timber standing over him. Jared over his get from the end of his chair and Timber sat down.

"What did you do?" Timber asked.

"That obvious?" Jared asked. He sighed before sharing that he and Kyle had an argument. He left out the details, but Timber got the gist of it.

"You're such a kid sometimes," Timber said.

"I am not a kid," Jared said annoyed.

"You are in so many ways," Timber replied, "if you want my advice apologize for whatever stupid shit you said and let him make the next move," he said.

"You're not the first person to tell me that," Jared commented.

"Then get your head out of your ass and listen for once in your life," Timber said.

"I suppose I could give it a try," Jared said playfully shoving Timber. Timber just shoved him back.

"Seriously though, you can't try to hard, when you do that that's when things all fall apart," Timber said.

"I get it, I'm trying to hard, but it's like he doesn't want anyone knowing. It's like I'm his dirty little secret," Jared sighed.

"He'll come out when he's ready. Remember he grew up with famous dads, he knows what the spotlight is like. He had a very public life when he was little," Timber said.

"I know, it's just...I'm an idiot," Jared said.

"Finally something we can agree on."

Jared and Timber looked up at Kyle and saw him smirking at Jared. Timber greeted the younger blonde before making his exit t the other side of the pool where Icy was sitting. Kyle pulled up and chair and sat down next to Jared.

"Still mad?" Jared asked.

"Not anymore, I think we've both come to the realization that you're an idiot," Kyle said.

"Haha," Jared said glaring at the blonde slightly. "I am sorry though, I was being dumb and I know how you feel. It just feels like you don't care sometimes," he said.

"I wish I knew how to change that," Kyle said trailing off slowly. Jared arched a brow at him. "I have to go," he said jumping up.

Kyle ran over to the polls edge and summoned Noah over. Noah climbed out of the pool and the two started talking lowly to one another. Noah pointed to his stuff and Kyle thanked him before taking off and grabbing Noah's phone with a promise to return it as soon as he was done. Jared caught Noah's eye. Noah just smiled and jumped back into the pool.

Jared sat there more confused than ever. He had no idea what had happened.

-We Are-

"How much longer until the food is ready?" Jake asked walking into the kitchen.

"It'll get done when it gets done," Adam said sending Jake a small glare.

"I was just asking," Jake said.

"You've been just asking every ten minutes for the last hour," Adam said.

"Relax Adam, he's just hungry," Damien said.

"We all are," Cooper piped in.

"Well this takes time. The food has to cook so go watch TV or something," Adam snapped.

"Ok, guys leave Adam be," Mason said walking into the kitchen. Jake and Cooper both zipped their lips with their fingers. Adam shooed them all out of the kitchen.

Jake walked over to Miri and sat down next to her. Cooper and Mason returned to the couch and started chatting.

"So Coop, your mom not doing anything today?" Jake asked.

"Nah, she's working and then she's going over to her boyfriends," Cooper said.

"Ah, how is he?" Jake asked.

"He's a step up from my dad," Cooper replied.

"What about Blaine, I haven't see him in awhile," Jake said.

"Me either, he's got a new girlfriend and he's always with her now," Cooper replied.

"New girlfriend? I thought he swore if love after Shay dumped him," Adam said from the kitchen.

"Shay was a slut and Ashlee is ten times better. He's really happy now. Especially after everything that went down with Casey and our dad," Cooper said slowly.

"Speaking of Casey, has he changed his mind yet?" Adam asked.

"Nah, he's never gonna want to see me or Blaine or any of the others. It's too late for him," Cooper sighed.

"Wow, poor kid," Adam said shaking his head.

"On the plus side, I did finally meet one of my half sisters and she's pretty cool," Cooper said.

"Mallory right?" Adam asked.

"Yes, she thinks Miri is just the cutest little girl ever. Her son Heath is cute too," Cooper said.

"So how many kids did Carter actually have?" Damien asked walking out of the kitchen.

"24, here in the United States, but he did travel abroad a lot and who knows how many foreign kids he has out there," Cooper sighed.

"Ok subject change please," Adam said as he realized how deep the conversation was getting. This was thanksgiving a time to be thankful and happy.

"Ok how about we talk about how you and Cooper think you're being so sneaky," Jake said. The two in question turned to Jake surprised. "Don't act so surprised, we all saw it coming. What I don't get is why you're trying to be so secretive," he said.

"Coop and I have a lot to work out, we don't need everybody added their two cents in," Adam replied.

"I get it, but you don't have to lie, we're on your side here Adam," Jake said.

"Yeah, you and Day are, but Dad and Pops will see things differently," Adam said.

"Blaine too," Cooper added.

-We Are-

Kendall smiled as he looked at the meal he, James, Tracy, and Jazz had managed to pull together. They were throwing an impromptu Thanksgiving dinner for everyone on tour. It looked good and he hoped it would be enough. They had set everything up in Icsis' suite since it was the biggest room.

"Ready to call the kids up?" James asked walking up to his husband.

"I suppose, before the food gets too cold," Kendall replied.

"Yeah, that would be awful," James laughed. Kendall nudged him lightly. James just laughed again and pecked the blonde on the lips.

"You guys are so cute," Jazz gushed. The pair blushed at that. Kendall told her to text the girls as he texted his kids and the guys. Tracy texted her group as well.

Soon everyone had arrived and they had settled into the small living room. Kyle was the las to arrive. He found a spot leaning on the arm of the couch next to Jared.

"Where did you disappear to," Jared asked Kyle.

"No where," Kyle shrugged.

"Ok, now I know this is not the most traditional thanksgiving meal, but it's better than nothing," Kendall said getting everyone's attention.

"I agree, I wasn't sure we were even gonna celebrate," Jackie said. The others all nodded their heads in agreement.

"Yeah well thank James, Jazz, and Tracy for setting this up," Kendall said pouting to the three.

"Ok so go ahead and dish up guys, we worked hard to get this here," Tracy said.

Nobody had to be told twice. Everyone grabbed a plate and started dishing up. They scattered about the room eating and talking. It felt like a real thanksgiving. Once everybody was full and done eating they all sat around talking about what they were thankful for.

"Well I for one am thankful for everyone in this room. You guys have all become like a family to me," Noah said.

"Yeah, you're like that pesky little brother that doesn't know when to shut up, but we love you anyways," Jackie said.

"Nah, I thinks he's a sweetie," Naomi said.

"Ok I'm awesome moving on," Noah said grinning.

"Ok, my turn," Icy said getting everyone's attention. "I am thankful for my family and my friends," she said looking to Timber. "And the new family I am about to start," she added.

"Dani are you saying what I think you're saying," Winter asked her sister.

"Are you pregnant?" Glacia asked.

"Yes I am," Icy said.

"We're also engaged, we both had big news to share with one another," Timber said. Everyone started congratulating her and Timber.

"So I guess this means Icsis will be on a hiatus after this tour?" Chili asked.

"Who knows, maybe," Icy said.

"Having kids is a lot of work, but not the death of you're career," Kendall said, "I would suggest taking time for yourselves though," he said.

They continued around the room, everyone continued telling what they were thankful for. They made it all the way around he room to Kyle. Kyle smiled and pulled his phone out.

"Ok, so yeah, I'm thankful for my family and my friends," Kyle said messing with his phone. He smiled and pocketed his phone. "I mean it too. I am so thankful for you guys," he said looking around the room to his family and then to his friends. "I am just happy that I've got two dads that love me no matter what I do and awesome friends. I'm even thankful for Jared, you're amazing and so patient sometimes," Kyle said as Jared's phone pinged, along with Matt, Noah, and Roldy's phones as well.

"What did you do?" Jared asked as his phone started going crazy.

"Why don't you see for yourself," Kyle said pointing to his phone.

Everyone pulled out heir phones curious as to what Kyle had done. Jared was the first to see. He looked up to he younger blonde shocked. Everyone was a little shocked at what Kyle had done. He had posted a picture of the himself and Jared together with Jared kissing his cheek. The caption under the photo was; I am thankful for having the best boyfriend ever! #loveislove #agedoesntmatter. He had even tagged Jared in the photo. Twitter was going crazy. People were retweeting the post and talking about it.

"Kyle you didn't have to do that," Jared said looking up from his phone once more.

"I know, I wanted to," Kyle said.

"Thank you," Jared said standing up and pulling the blonde into a kiss. The girls all awed at the two. They broke apart blushing. Both avoided eye contact with Kendall and James.

"There's no going back Kyle," James said.

"I know, I already talked with dad. He wanted to wait until the guys were done with tour, but we know how well I listen to others," Kyle said.

"You always gotta do it your way," Leora said.

-We Are-

"Jake did you see what Kyle did?" Adam asked while looking at his phone.

"What did he do know?" Jake asked curiously.

"It's all over Twitter, take a look," Adam said. Everyone pulled their phones out and checked Twitter.

"Wow, I didn't think he'd have the guts to do it," Jake said.

"At least not yet," Adam said.

"Yeah, I expected him to wait a bit longer and draw this out as long as he could," Jake replied.

"Well, love is love, and he seems happy," Cooper said.

"I know, I'm happy he's with someone like Jared and not some jerk who's using him," Adam said nodding his head.

"I guess, but he's always gotta be so dramatic and showy about it," Jake said.

"That's Kyle, flipping the world off, it's who he is," Adam retorted.

"I guess, but he's our brother and he's gonna need our support when he gets back. Look what people have already started," Adam was looking at some hateful tweets about Kyle and Jared's age difference.

"People are so awful," Mason said shaking his head.

"Yeah, but nothing we can do to change them, just accept that they are stupid and move on. Kyle doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, well outside of family and friends. He'll make it through this," Adam said.

"I hope so," Jake said looking down at his phone. He quickly sent out a tweet supporting Kyle and Jared. Adam did the same.

-We Are-

Lilly, Layla, Lucas, and Miles were all sitting in the living room after dinner. They had all eaten so much they were ready to burst. The adults were in the kitchen cleaning up and chatting amongst themselves.

"So Lucas, how was your first thanksgiving with us?" Lilly asked, "we can be a bit crazy at times, and usually it involves more people, like Kyle, Lilly and their family," she added quickly.

"It was fun, you guys make me feel like I am family," Lucas said.

"You are, you're our brother," Layla said smiling at Lucas. "You're a lot nicer than Miles too," she added.

"Watch it squirt, I know where you sleep and I am the prank champion," Miles warned her.

"Ooh, I'm so scared," Layla teased.

"Ok moving on, did you like the food? I know that papi's recipes are a bit out there and different," Lilly said.

"I was all good," Lucas said quickly. "I don't think I am gonna be able to get up for like a week now," he added rubbing his stomach. The other three laughed at that.

"Oh my god, look at what Kyle did," Layla said holding her phone out to Miles. He snatched the phone from her. His jaw dropped as he looked at the picture.

"What?" Lilly and Lucas asked simultaneously.

"It's about time," Miles said passing the phone to Lilly. "He finally came out to the public. Things are gonna get crazier for him," he said shaking his head.

"Crazier for who?" Carlos asked as he walked into the living room with Mary behind him.

"Kyle finally came out, on Twitter," Miles said.

"Oh really, he's dating that singer in Kendall's band right?" Carlos asked.

"Yes papi, but they all sing," Layla said.

"Isn't he older than Kyle?" Carlos asked confused.

"Yeah, but who cares love is love, age shouldn't matter," Miles said defensively.

"I never said their was anything wrong with that," Carlos said quickly, "I was just asking a question," he said.

-We Are-

Kyle was sitting in his room with Jared. Leora was hanging out with Jackie and the girls along with the ladies of Icsis as well. Kyle and Jared had put their phones on silent and decides to spend a little time together.

They had already checked most of the tweets they had gotten within the first few hours of Kyle's post. There was a lot of support and there was also a lot of hate. Some people thought they were cute, while others though it was unfair that Jared was dating Kyle and not them. Other people even though it was wrong that they were dating. Kyle was still a kid and Jared wasn't. There were several argument going. Kyle had manGed to get #LoveisLove and #AgeShouldntMatter treading worldwide. Another trend that popped up was #AgeDoesMatter. Kyle and Jared did not care for that trend. They avoided it.

"You really didn't have to do that," Jared said softly.

"I know that, I already told you I wanted to," Kyle said again. Jared had been like a broken record ever since he had tweeted that picture. "I wanted the world to know that Jared Munroe was all mine and not anyone else's," he said.

"Aw, how sweet," Jared said playfully pinching Kyle's cheek.

"Yep that's me, me sweety pants," Kyle joked. Jared laughed at that.

"So what are you gonna do when you get back home? Are you gonna be alright?" Jared asked.

"Yeah, I'll deal," Kyle said.

"There's something you need to know though," Jared said slowly.

"What?" Kyle asked confused.

"Well, there's this guy, he's kind of been following us on tour. He seems to be a bit obsessed with me," Jared said slowly.

"A stalker?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah, I just want you to be careful," Jared said grabbing his phone from the bedside table. He quickly unlocked his phone and showed Kyle a picture.

"Ok yeah, I'll be careful," Kyle said. "Send me the picture. I can show the guys and they can keep an eye out too," he said. Jared nodded his head.

Kyle pulled Jared closer once he set his phone aside again. He wrapped an arm around the bleached blonde. He pressed a kiss to the side of his head. Jared smiled and looked up at the younger teen.

"I love you Jer," Kyle said.

"I love you too," Jared replied with a smile.

"I don't want to leave on Sunday," Kyle whined pulling Jared close. Jared chuckled and kissed the blonde on he cheek.

"It'll only be two more weeks," Jared said.

"Two weeks too long," Kyle groaned.

"I agree, but it has to be done, you've got school and I've got a tour to finish. Just be happy I'm not going to Europe," Jared said.

"I am extremely happy that you're not going to Europe," Kyle replied hugging Jared.

Boom. Another chapter done. Kyle found a way to show Jared he loved him and gave him the thing he wanted most. Will this be a smart move? Can Kyle survive the backlash from coming out? Jake knew all about Cadam! Who else knows?

Thanksgiving went off without a hitch, see I'm not always mean. So much more to come. More drama and more twists and turns await. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
