(A/N: For this final part, the song I'm using is "Corynorhinus" from Batman Begins.)
Epilogue
"Our top story: The recent attack on Fortuna that killed dozens of army personnel, including General Bryke McDaniel, as well as the destruction of millions of credits worth of equipment, is now said to be an act of terror, and while the suspect or suspects have not been identified, Cornerian Intelligence is currently investigating the matter. As of now, General Peppy has signed an order to increase military force across the Lylat System."
*"So now I'm labeled as a terrorist?" Krystal said as she stared at the monitor. "Charming."
Fox chuckled. "Well, at least they didn't say your name."
"No, but Eclipse knows, but they can't do anything right now without looking suspicious," Krystal replied. She sighed. "I sure hope Peppy knows what he's getting himself into."
"He'll be fine, as long as he plays his part," Fox said casually. "So… what now?"
"Hm? Oh…right." She had been trying to prepare for this moment. "I have thought about your offer… and even if I did come back, what difference would it make? Falco and Slippy have gone their own ways and only two pilots against an entire organization of disgruntled veterans isn't going to be much of a match up."
"No, but I only care that you're back with me," Fox said. "That's all I've really wanted these past two years… Come on Krystal, you know you need my help as much as I need yours."
"Well…alright, but seriously, how are we going to do this?" Krystal asked. "And where are we headed anyway?"
"Papetoon," Fox replied immediately.
"Your… home planet?"
"Yeah… and about that plan…" Fox said. "You see… I've been hiding something as well. I've been busy these past two years and… well… take a look for yourself."
He motioned towards the front window and Krystal looked out. She could see the small yellowish sphere that was Papetoon, but something else caught her eye. Surrounding the planet, she saw what had to have been an armada of ships. Frigates and dreadnaughts were all in groups and all of a sudden she now understood.
She heard the metallic steps of Blade walking up to her. "From this view I count twenty-seven dreadnaughts and thirty frigates."
"Thirty-two and forty to be exact," Fox said with a smile. "So, what do you think?"
Krystal looked to him and the grin on her face was priceless. "When do we start?"
(A/N: Well guys, it's been a blast writing this story. I feel like I could have gotten it done sooner but with school and all, what else can you do? I sure hope you've enjoyed reading it and yes, there will be a sequel on it's way but I think for now I'm going to take a break from Star Fox and work on other stories, especially my Digimon story.
As always, I do not own Star Fox, it belongs to Nintendo and thank you all for the support and reviews. Stay tuned for more coming up soon, this is FoxMcCloud7921 signing out!)
