Chapter 21

Klaus and Caroline stood up from the ground and he went to touch her arm but she pushed his hand away and said "you don't even come near me, I told you not to compel me again".

Everyone was shocked by the way Caroline was acting and the way she was talking. They could almost say she had an English accent. Elena said "what's going on?"

Bonnie said "think about it. Who does the original family care for?"

Caroline looked at them all for the first time and said "your feelings for the Caroline I was, was hiding your judgement, and clouding it as you might say".

Alaric said "wait, you're the forgotten original?"

"The one and only".

Jenna said "your Klaus' wife?"

"Unfortunately" she glanced at Klaus "I am".

Damon laughed and said "vampire Barbie is the one who got hitched to the psycho".

Damon continued to laugh but Caroline whooshed over and threw him into a tree. He groaned for a moment but then looked towards Caroline and she said "I am an original, show some respect. And that person you called a psycho is my husband". Caroline turned away from Damon and could see that Klaus had a smirk on his face "your still acting like an arse but no one insults my family". She walked towards the four original siblings, as they were now all stood together, and said "you were all acting completely out of order. You shouldn't have compelled me and you three should have stopped him or found a way".

Elijah said "Caroline, how could we have done that if we didn't know how he was compelling you?"

Caroline took off her ring and it surprised Klaus "don't look surprised, I figured it out the last time you compelled me. Nik had a witch put a spell on my wedding ring".

Kol sniggered and said "brother, the wedding ring that was a bad choice".

Klaus glared at him and Caroline said "Kol, no one is going to judge but me".

"Yes sister" he said sweetly with a smirk. She tried to stay strong but the smile came through. She wrapped her arms around Kol and he said "I've missed you, we all have" he picked her up and swung her.

When he put her down, she hugged Elijah and he said "we truly have".

Caroline then turned to Rebekah and hugged her. Rebekah said "thank god I am not the only woman anymore" Caroline laughed into her shoulder "I missed you, Caro".

"Thank you, Bekah". Caroline pulled away then said to her family "I'm sorry for how I reacted with all of you, I never meant to hurt any of you".

Elijah said "it is understandable, you did not understand" all of the siblings nodded as they agreed and accepted her apology.

Caroline looked at Klaus and could see that he felt guilty for everything he had done. She took a few steps towards him and she began to feel guilty herself. The siblings looked unease and Kol said "well thank god your back, Niklaus has been a nightmare to live with".

"Always moping and breaking stuff when he misses you" Rebekah said. Klaus glared at the twins of the family and Caroline knew that they were tying to make her go easy on Klaus.

As she stood in front of him, she held out her wedding ring and he took it. He had a heartbroken look but then she said "I don't want to leave you. I have loved you for a thousand years and we promised each other eternity...but in order for that to happen I want you to remove the spell on the ring" she then sent a smile to Rebekah and Rebekah knew what she was about to do "and remove the compulsion on our other family member" her eyes glanced to Stefan quickly so he knew who she was talking about. She walked close to Klaus and placed a hand on his cheek before she kissed the other. She then placed both of her hand on his face and leaned her forehead to his "we may have been doing the same thing for the last thousand years, but now to be a family we have to stop. We have to stop all the compulsion, all the daggering of the siblings and work together...if you don't then you will lose me. I will walk away and I will never come back".

He quickly wrapped his arms around her waist "never".

Elijah, Rebekah and Kol smiled as they knew that Caroline had now persuaded him. Caroline said "then do as I say" he leaned down and kissed her. They got lost in the kiss for a few moments but then Caroline remembered what her deal was and she turned her head. He began to kiss her neck but she moved out of his arms and stood next to Rebekah "demands first. Compulsion and the ring now".

Klaus sighed in frustration then whooshed over to Stefan. The Mystic Falls gang were all staring at them in aware but when Klaus appeared in front of Stefan, Damon stood by his brothers side. Klaus said "Stefan, when was the last time you have vervain?" Klaus could tell by the look on Stefan's face that it wasn't resent. No one could do anything before Klaus looked into his eyes and said "now you remember".

They all looked nervous about what Klaus made him remember and Damon said "brother, are you alright?"

Bonnie said "Damon, move away from him. Let him remember" she looked at Caroline and Rebekah and they smiled to her.

Elena said "remember what?"

Stefan looked up from the ground where he had been previously looking and when he saw Klaus he punched him. Klaus fell to the floor due to the punch on the jaw. He put a hand to his jaw as he stood back up and he said "I'll let you have that one" the cut on his lip began to heal. Everyone was shocked by what Stefan had done and even more that he got away with it.

Stefan said "how would you feel if I could compel you to forget Caroline" he took another punch but Klaus dodged it.

Klaus held Stefan's wrist that went to hit him and he said "Rebekah, control him before I hurt him".

Rebekah whooshed over and stood in front of Stefan as soon as Klaus let go. She put both her hands on the side of his face and said "Stefan, look at me". Stefan was keeping his eyes focused on Klaus as he was angry but when he felt familiar hands on his face he averted his eyes.

He looked down to see Rebekah smiling at him and he gasped "Rebekah" she smiled with tears in her eyes and he pulled her into him.

She cried into his shoulder and said "I'm sorry, I should have stopped him, I should have found you...but we had to protect you from Mikael".

He pulled away form her and whipped the tears away with his knuckles "I understand why you did it. I'm just mad that it took so long for you to come back to me".

They kissed but then less than a second later someone said "what the hell is going on?" they all looked to see it was Elena "why am I only just finding out now that one of my best friends and my boyfriend-" Caroline interrupted.

"That's ex best friend. Sorry to you but I hate the doppelgangers, ever since I met Tatia. You all just act the same to me. Sluts and whores".

"Touchy" Rebekah said "also, that's ex boyfriend" Rebekah glared at her.

Elena looked at Stefan and he said "I'm sorry, Elena. But I didn't remember Rebekah and that is the only reason that I was with you. Now that she is back..." he tried to think of the right words to end this conversation quickly "I'm married".

AN: I really torn on this chapter as one side of me wanted Caroline to jump into his arms and never leave, then the other side wanted her to yell at him and for punishment leave for a century. So this is what you got with my mixed emotions. Review please
