Pulling Me Through Part Two

I'm off of school for a week, so I'm hoping to get more updates in. Hope everyone enjoys and please review! This chapter will take place a week after chapter twenty.

Chapter Twenty-One

Riley's POV

The tour had been pretty repetitive, but it was pretty cool to see brand new places and show Savannah the wonders of the world. At the minute, everyone had just started to wake up and the tour bus was in a bit of a mess. It was chaotic as you attempted to squeeze past people to get some food or a drink. It eventually got so annoying that I gave up with trying to get food on the tour bus and decided to make good use of the little stop and go and get something to eat from the cafe.

"Andy, are you coming to eat in the cafe?" I asked. He looked up at me and nodded as he gathered Savannah up in his arms.

"I'll come" Jake said as he pushed himself off of the sofa and joined. It didn't matter that we didn't invite Jake because he always managed to worm his way into everything, but it's actually quite amusing.

"Hurry up" I urged. "You have no idea how hungry I am" It was fairly obvious that he probably did know how hungry I was because he had made various comments about how much my stomach was rumbling. He gave me a quick eye roll before he pulled his shoes on and thundered down the few steps before hitting the gravel path.

"What are you guys getting?" He asked as he walked.

"I'm in the mood for a muffin" I answered. Yes, I know that muffins probably aren't the best things to eat for breakfast, but I really didn't care. Pulling open the door, I was hit with the scent of any food you could possibly imagine. It was absolutely divine. We walked up to the counter and smiled brightly at the woman behind who was serving.

"What can I get you?" She asked as she fiddled with the name badge that was pinned tightly onto her red and yellow T-shirt.

"Can I have a chocolate muffin, a hash brown and a crepe, please?" I asked. She nodded sweetly before she moved to the side to tell someone the order and gave us one of those wooden markers that tells us what table we are.

"It should be ready in about five minutes" She said as she spared a quick glance at Jake and smiled shyly. She didn't strike me as the kind of girl who would go for someone like Jake. She seemed a little bit preppy and looked like the type of person who would look down at Jake because of the way he chose to dress, but then I realised how stereotypical I was being.

We all made our way to one of the tables at the back of the room and took a seat. Jake looked a little fidgety, but I said nothing about it until he explained why he was so nervous.

"That girl was seriously gorgeous" He said. Rolling my eyes, I took his hand in my own. I may be acting like I'm annoyed by how ridiculous he was acting, but I couldn't help but be immensely pleased that he may have found a girl that he actually likes.

"When she comes over, strike up a conversation and me and Andy will leave" I said. It had to be uncomfortable if you were trying to get somewhere with a girl and your sister and best friend was just watching you. I knew that I would despise it, so I didn't intend to do it myself.

"Fine, but just so you know..." He was cut off when the girl he liked gave us our food. It didn't look as though he was going to say anything to her, so I gave him a sharp kick in the shin and that got him talking. "Hi, I'm Jake" He greeted. It wasn't the best line, but it was better than some of the others he could have probably come up with.

"Hey, I'm Arianna" She said. I could tell that Jake would like her just for her name because his face just seemed to light up. Andy started to nudge into me as a sign that it was probably time for us to go. I sidled out of the seat and took Savannah out of Andy's arms, so he could get out of the booth. Just as we were about to leave the cafe, Jake turned to look at us quickly and I sent him a little wave that he couldn't return because Arianna was deep in conversation with him and it would look a little weird if he randomly started waving when he was in the middle of talking to her.

Once we were outside I started to believe that it was safe to talk again. "I swear that is the first girl that he's showed an interest in since he was fifteen" I laughed as I shifted Savannah around in my arms. She was four months old and had little tufts of brown hair sprouting from her head. The time had whizzed past and she seemed to be growing bigger by the day.

"Jake seems very family orientated" Andy sighed with a confused look marking his face. "I can't see him wanting anyone new to join the gang." We often referred to our little group as 'the gang' because it just seemed so fitting. We were just like a scary version of friends.

"I suppose, but he deserves a girl who will understand him unlike that bitch he dated when he was fifteen" I said, my voice as bitter as lemons.

"Care to tell me the details?" Andy asked as we started to walk up the stairs of the tour bus to find it completely empty. I didn't have a clue where everybody else was, but I knew that they wouldn't be too long.

"She just tried to ruin the family" I sighed, the memory was a horrible one, but I was willing to share it with Andy. "She kept dragging things up about our mom and it turned Jake into a really angry person. He wouldn't talk to me, he would avoid my dad at all costs and then they broke up and he picked up the guitar."

"She done all of that at the age of fifteen?" Andy asked. Yes, it seemed ridiculous for a fifteen year old girl to try and rip apart her boyfriend's family, but she tried to and she damn near succeeded.

"Like I said, she was a total bitch" I stated matter-of-factly. She was a complete bitch and I wanted everyone to know it. I would scream it at the top of my voice if I thought it would prove anything to Jake. He didn't break up with her for the obvious reason; he broke up with her because she was moving away. He still thought she could do no wrong.

"Let's not focus on the bitches of the world and try to enjoy the rest of the day" Any mumbled into my hair before kissing it softly. Now that sounded like a plan.

Jake's POV

She was sitting in the booth opposite me and talking to me about what her job entails. Yes, it was mainly just busting tables, but any word out of her mouth was interesting. She went to university and was determined to become a teacher. It seemed weird that I was going to try and her involved with someone who enjoyed education, but life is always pretty weird.

"I'm sorry" She gasped. "I've been talking about myself for so long. Why don't you tell me about what you do" This was going to be the bit where she would think I was a pathetic waste of space and go back to serving customers.

"I'm in a band and I'm on tour here, but I'm originally from Cincinnati" I said. Could I give her anymore of my life history?

"Woah, what's your band called?" She asked. She didn't seem disgusted and repulsed by it as I thought, but it was still early days and I was afraid to assume anything for the fact that it could end up breaking my heart.

"Black Veil Brides" I answered before realising that that would probably put her off having anything to do with me. "I know it's a weird name, but it's pretty cool once you really try and understand the meaning behind it."

"It sounds awesome" She said as she leaned back in her seat. "What kind of band is it?" Ok, this is the part where she will get repulsed. I can almost guarantee it.

"We're a rock 'n' roll band" I answered, tugging on my hair which is something that I only do when I'm nervous.

"Cool, I might like your music" She said with a surprisingly upbeat voice. A silence fell over us that was pretty awkward for me, but she seemed to be completely content with it. "I should probably do some work."

"Yeah, there's a queue building up there" I laughed as I pointed to where the counter stood.

"Do you thing I'll every talk to you again?" She asked. She had no idea how much I hoped we would talk again. Being with her felt so natural and right that I was almost reluctant to leave the cafe.

"Here's my number. You have got to call me" I said as I handed it to her. She took it with a bright smile before she walked back to the counter with her back turned away from me, so I couldn't see her dazzling green eyes. I walked out of the cafe and headed back to the tour bus. Jinxx was just opening the door when I started walking up the steps.

"Hey, Jake" He greeted as he held the door open for me. "Why are you so happy?"

"I've just met the most amazing woman in the whole world" I sighed as I walked to the living room and collapsed onto the sofa. Life is pretty damn good at the minute.

"Are you going to tell me about her?" Jinxx asked. I was scared in case I jinxed it. No pun intended. What if I spent so long talking about how we were hitting it off and then I never spoke to her again in my life? The thought terrified me more than anything else in the whole world.

"Maybe later" I answered as I headed to where my bunk was, bumping into Riley on the way. She grinned at me as we walked past each other.

"Judging by the look on your face, I'm guessing it went pretty well" She sighed. She knew that I hated it whenever she said things like that to me and the grin on her face made it even worse than it normally is.

"Shut up, Riley" I said in monotone. I almost never spoke to her like that, so she always knew when to stop because I would start to show a shred of anger towards her and it would always instantly shut her up.

"Are you going for a lie down?" She asked as she tried to change the subject, so I wouldn't still be angry with her.

"Yeah, I just need to think about everything" I mumbled. She smiled again before continuing to walk up the aisle of bunks and to the main living room area.

"I'll see you later, Jake" She called back. I'm glad I have a sister like her.

I hope everyone enjoys and I would love it if you could leave me a review. Again I would like to say that I am hoping to get more updates online before the school holidays finish, so wish me luck on getting some new material sorted for the next chapters!
