Sorry it's taken so long to get this chapter done and that it's short, but every moment of writing time has gone into my original novel. And it's still not done :( This story will be coming to a close soon, but don't worry, there will be many more ALS in the series :)

This update is for RoseDimitriLoveJunky- Happy birthday, and thanks for reminding me to update!

RPOV

After the storm last night, most people had been kept awake. As a result of this, everyone else was sleeping in, aside from Dimitri, Viktoria, Nikola and me. The Russians apparently hadn't quite adjusted to the time zone yet, and Dimitri had wanted to get out of the tent and into the open air. I'd followed since I'd been desperate for something to eat. Plus, Christian was snoring like a chainsaw.

After about half an hour, Dimitri had become more and more quiet until I was pretty sure he was about to sleep sitting up. He'd barely slept at all last night due to the storm, and the night before we hadn't exactly slept much, and the night before that he'd been coordinating my party.

"For crying out loud, Comrade, go back to sleep. You're going to be no fun all day otherwise."

He raised an eyebrow, looking back at the tent where Christian was still competing with the noise made by power tools. "Not even I can sleep through that. It's even louder inside."

I shrugged. "Sleep here then."

Dimitri looked dubious, but did as I said anyway. The log wasn't the most comfortable thing to sleep on, but he wasn't that fussy. As he rested his head on my leg, I began to stroke his hair.

A few minutes later, his breathing evened out as he fell asleep. Nikolai went to shower, and it was just me and Viktoria left around the campfire.

I looked up to see her watching Dimitri and I, and when she met my eyes, she gave me an evil grin.
"I think we should have some fun whilst he's asleep," she said winking at me.

An evil smile of my own slid into place. "What did you have in mind?"

5 minutes later, Viktoria returned with a handful of hair ties, and we got to work. Dimitri was so deeply asleep that he didn't feel us styling his hair. What was it about this place that had this effect on him?
Viktoria braided bits of it whilst I pulled it into 2 high topknots. I then threaded daisies into the braids as she went to get the cameras.

But as we went through my tent, stifling giggles, the urge to cause mischief came back. Motioning silently to Viktoria, I gestured to her to help me lift the small plastic picnic table over into Lissa and Christian's section of the tent. Both were out for the count. We positioned the table clearly over Christian's head, before setting an alarm on his phone to go off in 10 minutes, then placing that on the table. Honestly, if he wanted to keep his cell private, then he should have chosen a better passcode than he and Lissa's anniversary. Kept it secret from her, whilst still bonded to me. Or at least changed it since. But no. His loss.

Sneaking out from the tent, camera in hand Vika and I set about snapping pictures of Dimitri. We could barely contain our laughter at this point, so it was a good thing that Christian's alarm went off when it did.
It buzzed for about a second before there was a loud thump from the tent, followed by a shout and stream of cussing. Dimitri shot up, and the Guardians from the neighbouring tents came running just as Christian stumbled out of his, clutching his head.
"Hathaway, I'm going to-" He stopped mid-rant when he saw Dimitri. "Dude..."

Looking confused, Dimitri slowly brought his hand up to his hair, feeling the many spiky ponytails before plucking a flower from one. Even my mom was snickering quietly. Dimitri's gaze flicked to Vika, and I suddenly had the urge to run.
"Vika!"
His sister barely had time to start running before Dimitri caught her from behind and began to relentlessly tickle her. "Stop!" She squealed. "Please Dimka! Stop! Roza helped!"

"Oh, sell me out why don't you." I grumbled.

"You'd have wanted credit anyway," Viktoria gasped when Dimitri let her go, and began stalking towards me. I put my hands out in front to keep him back, but it didn't help.
I wasn't an overly ticklish person, but there was a spot just above my hips that hadn't got the memo. And of course, Dimitri knew exactly where that was.

"Stop it!" I whacked his arm, trying to get him to stop. "You look cute! Too cute to be this mean!" It didn't help, so I had to fight dirty. I wasn't the only one with a secretly ticklish spot. I managed to wriggle away enough to get a hand free, before getting it to his ribs. A moment later, he let go.

"Ha! Tickle stalemate." I shouted triumphantly Seeing the irritated look on Dimitri's face, framed by spiky ponytails, I couldn't help but laugh again.

Dimitri's look softened into a smile. "These really haven't been my couple of days, have they." I shook my head. I might've annoyed him, but had achieved my goal of dissipating any lingering effects of the storm. Even as I thought this, Dimitri seemed to realise too. "Come here," he beckoned.

I did so, cautiously. Most of the people who had been watching had left now, to start breakfast or to wake up their significant other to tell them about what had just happened. Abe would be gutted that he'd missed his future son-in-law looking like this. I'd have to use the pictures as bribe material in the future.
Son-in-law. We were really going to get married.
"You should wear your hair like that to our wedding," I teased. "Really brings out your eyes."

Said eyes were rolled as Dimitri reached up to pull an elastic from his hair. He reached for me, and I took a step back, but he persisted. "No, you shouldn't make jokes you can't take." I relented as he tied up a section of my hair, which now probably looked like a mini hair volcano. Removing one of the daisies I had added, he placed it in mine. "Beautiful. We'll make a great pair at the altar."

"Are you trying to make me feel guilty?" I asked as butterflies made their presence known in my stomach.

"Is it working?"

I smiled as I gently pulled another tie from his hair, so that most of it was back to normal. "I don't regret it." He pulled me closer, angling for a kiss. "But maybe I won't show the pictures around just yet."

He pulled back. "There are pictures?"

I rolled my eyes. "Just kiss me."

He did, at least until my fingers got caught in one of the braids still in his hair and I started to giggle against his lips. I tried to hold it back, but then he started laughing too.
"I'm going to go wash my hair. Why don't you decide what to do after breakfast? See what everyone else thinks too."

"Alright," I said before stealing one last kiss, and flicking one of the remaining braids, "Pippi Longstocking."

Review and get to play with Dimitri's hair :3 Actually, review and tell me if you have any ideas about what you want the gang to do in the next chapter. I have a couple of ideas, but I'd love to hear what you want :)
