I apologize for the very late update! Things been kind of out of control in my house and for both mine and my sister's health-both mental and emotional-we moved out and moved into an apartment in another town thirty minutes away from the town we previously lived in. I'm not going in much details but don't be surprised by later updates since I now have a full time job and soon my days off will be occupied with some personal stuff.
Any who...

Enjoy the story lovelies! ^ω^
Zero and I were both silent on the way back home. I wasn't sure why he was quiet-unless it has something to do with why he looked sad about something earlier before we left. Once we stepped inside I started to head for my room, not mentally ready to argue with him about keeping another secret, but I was stopped as strong arms wrapped around me. "What's bothering you?" Zero asked. Was it that obvious I was upset? I guess so considering I was so disappointed when I realized the secrets are back. I wiggled out of his arms and turned around to look at him. "You're clearly trying to go back to hiding things from me! How can I help you when you don't communicate with me?" I demanded. He rolled his eyes and groaned, he pulled me back into his arms, though he tightened his embrace so it would be hard for me to wiggle out.
"Is this about that I said it was nothing when you asked what was wrong before we left that soirée?" He asked. I nodded woodenly and he sighed heavily. "It was nothing though, Iris. I was being foolish and thinking you were considering living the life of a noble vampire, even though I knew better. So it wasn't a secret, it became nothing but foolish thoughts." He assured me. I pulled away a little so he could see the disbelieving look on my face. "You seriously thought I want to go back into that kind of life? Are you mad?! I had enough of that life when I was engaged to he whom shall forever burn in Hell and toni-" Zero pinched my lips shut gently and glared at me. "I get the point, Iris." He groaned and released my lips.
"As long as I made myself clear, we're good." I teased. He chuckled a little and kissed my forehead tenderly. He let me go and turned me around so I was facing the hall. "Alright get into something comfortable while I start cooking dinner." He told me. I bolted for my room, eager to get out of the dress and change into my pajamas. "Don't have to tell me twice!" I called over my shoulder. I closed the door and took off my shoes and took struggled to reach for the zipper at the back of my dress. I was desperately trying to reach for it so I wouldn't have to call for help and I sighed in relief when I found it and got it unzipped.
I quickly changed out of it and into a dark blue v neck tank top and black pajama shorts. I stepped out of the room went inside the kitchen where I was greeted with the smell of curry. I walked over to Zero and poked my head around his arm, curious of what he was making that involved curry. "If you are done being nosy can you get two bowls down?" Zero asked though I could detect a little mirth in his voice. I rolled my eyes playfully and walked over to where we keep our bowls and grabbed a couple. I sat them down next to him and headed over to the cups. "What do you want to drink?" I asked. "Bloo-water." He said quickly. I cocked an eyebrow and looked over at him curiously. He must not have taken any blood tablets since the last time he fed from me which was two weeks ago. I thought he had been taking them since he couldn't feed from me since I was basically over at the Kuran manor all day and night trying to cram vampire etiquette and how to act like a proper princess, and considering he was acting fine around blood while we were at the soiree. "Zero, when was the last time you ate?" I asked. "This afternoon." He said duly. I rolled my eyes and leaned back against the counter as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Not food, Baka! When was the last time you had any blood?" I corrected myself. He sighed heavily and glanced over at me. "Just as long as it been since you had any." He retorted. I grimaced knowing if I wanted to start giving him a lecture about making sure he drinks blood as much as he needs to I had no place to speak considering it's been a while since I drank any blood and it's still a pain in the ass to take those damn blood tablets.
"Well out of the two of us, the only one who can take those blood tablets is you." I reminded him. He glanced over at me and cocked an eyebrow. I felt my cheeks burn from embarrassment when I realized why. Just because he might be able to take those tablets doesn't mean the satisfy him like when he drinks my blood. "I'll drink some blood after dinner." He assured me as he looked away though I could see the small smirk on his face.
Yay! We don't have to worry about any secrets after all! It was just a big giant misunderstanding!
