Liar
3rdPOV
"I hope blueberry is to your liking." Qetsiyah said while placing a cup of tea on a table in front of Bella.
"As long as it isn't camomile." Bella smiled.
"Hungry?"
"You know I didn't come here to eat."
What a shame, Qetsiyah will once again be forced to eat alone. Bella observed the ancient woman as she sat down across her. Truth to be told, they met on several occasions by now and Bella only now started to care about the details. Tessa, as the witch now asked to be called, from what Bella have seen is extremely found of sandals and long dresses, always wearing them and Bella can only imagine this was her attire when she was first alive.
Bella thought it was boring, always wearing the same cut and different shades of dark violet. Although her way of dressing was boring, Bella couldn't say the same about her personality. If she was willing to help Silas cast the spell of immortality, she must have been a very loyal friend, though decision to imprison Silas and Amara in darkness for all eternity indicates an extremely jealous, hateful and vindictive personality as well.
Since Bella and crazy ass witch met, Qetsiyah has proven to be quite crazy, unstable, and possessive. She admits her own issues including paranoia and vindictiveness so working together with her is huge risk for Bella, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. Now one more thing bothering Bella was how in the name of all that is holy, Silas could just overlook Qetsiyah beauty. She was beautiful and powerful, what is there more to ask of woman? Ah yes, Bella's face, Katherine's face... Amara.
"So how did it go?"
"What do you think how it went?" Bella sipped her tea. "Everything went as we planed, after all there was no Amara to start with."
"Yes, I am aware. Surely her wasn't pleased."
"Who said he was?" Smirk danced on Bella's lips. " He was out of his mind, furious, went on full rampage..."
"Your smile indicates something more, Doppelganger. Now tell me, I won't be mad."
"You have no reason to be mad Tessa, I on the other hand..." Bella sighed, this was so messed up. "When he realized he couldn't have Amara he decided that I am just as good. I won't go in details of what exactly happened, but I won't deny, I was enjoying myself... Only later did occur me that he was more than likely pretending that I am Amara."
"He used you." Qetsiyah brows narrowed. "Just like he used me."
"Do you trust me now? I want revenge for him playing with me, he used my sentiment against me, he had my loyalty just like he had yours, but in the end he still chose Amara."
"Haven't you been listening? I have trust issues."
"Who doesn't?" Bella asked. " I can't even trust my family not to try to kill me... And you should trust me at least little bit. I stole Amara's body all by myself and delivered her to you to see. I even gave you the cure."
"You only gave it to me because you wanted me to trust you."
"Give me some credit. I didn't betray you so far."
"But why would you help me?" Bella almost laughed at that.
"Tessa, darling, I am not helping you. I am helping myself."
Everything said so far was closest to thing to truth. Bella was hurt by Silas's actions, it hurt to know that she wasn't enough to replace the originator of her face. So when she found out the location of Amara she acted fast in reaching it before anybody else in which she succeeded. But to get the location, she needed to exchange the cure for it, Tessa wouldn't agree for less and Bella agreed knowing that Tessa will only be keeping an eye for a while and then it will be back in Bella's hands to do as she wish with it.
"Fine then. Don't even think of betraying me."
"Why so serious? If I want my plan to work then I need you to help me, I doubt you'll do that if I stab you in the back."
"And what is your plan exactly?"
"Don't worry, it is quite similar to yours."
"I'll be the judge of that."
It was pass midnight when Bella finally ended discussion with Tessa. The conversation between the two of them eventually turned to light discussion over diner with bottle of red wine. Bella could only thank her hunter side for arriving to Klaus's house safely. Tessa passed out before Bella left giving Bella the opportunity to snoop around and find the cure, but this time this was the chance Bella didn't take. She needed Qetsiyah to trust her and stealing from her wouldn't get her far.
The house was empty. Obviously as Mikaelsons were in New Orleans taking over the city and looking after Klaus's baby mama. At times like this, when she was alone, Bella missed her family. It was sad to know that the Mikaelsons who stabbed each other in back for past thousands years were still a family while her own was... Broken? No not even broken, there was no family at all. Saddened by how big pieces of her life no longer fitted in picture, Bella allowed herself to cry in shower.
With hair wrapped in towel, dressed in pajama, Bella lied down on bed to rest, but the dreams refused to come as she was still crying and drowning in self-pity. She was aware that this night won't bring her rest until she faces with the demon. Lazily, she pulled out of the bed and went down to living room where she left her phone. The empty house was creeping her out, how Klaus dealt with it is... Well, he was more than likely painting to make time fly.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" Silas asked when he answered the phone. As he answered after only one ring, Bella knew he wasn't sleeping.
"I can't sleep."
"So you called me to sing you a lullaby?"
"Forget I called."
"Wait! You're staying at hybrids house, right?"
"Where else?"
"I'm nearby, so expect me soon." He hung up..
Bella tossed the phone on sofa. She wasn't quite sure what was bothering her so much about Silas now. Silas does what he wants and now when she decided to prevent him from finding happiness with Amara, guilt got to her. Man suffered for two thousand years being separated from Amara, but that is no excuse, over the centuries there was many people who suffered because of his sin, Bella included and to make all of this worse, Silas knew she was falling for him and played with her heart.
"There was no need to knock." Bella said sarcastically as Silas appeared out of nowhere in the living room.
"I did tell you to expect me." Silas smiled and sat down next to her. "I brought us something." He pulled the bottle of bourbon.
"How thoughtful."
"Yes, I thought the same."
They sat together at the sofa in uncomfortable silence, both were aware they should talk, but neither knew how to start. Eventually, Bella stood up, walked to kitchen and returned with two glasses. Bella filled the glasses, handed one to Silas and went to sit down next to him again when he pulled her in his lap. No words were said between them, the gazed in each others eyes while slowly consuming the content of their glasses. Once the glasses were empty, Silas put them aside.
"You used me." Bella said in voice barely louder than whisper. Her eyes were still red from previous crying session and yet she felt more tears are about to come. "And you'll keep doing it again and again until you find her and then... I'll be of no use to you." Her voice was now louder with accusing tone.
"I'm sorry."
"I would rather if you would stop telling me lies."
„These are not lies… I am sorry." She looked away which made him cup her face forcing her to look back. „I am sorry for making you less worth every time I compared you to her, Amara, the woman of my unmet desire. .. I longed after her for eternity, pretty face like yours wasn't supposed make me doubt of my affections towards the woman I imagined to be the goddess, but it did."
„You're fool to think I believe you."
„I am a fool for clinging to something that disappeared before I arrived. I'll never see her again, Bella… It hurts to know my tries were useless, but it hurts more to imagine my slights driving you away…"
„You're selfish. Loving one woman, but lusting after me."
„I'm not denying."
Those words were finally something Bella could believe. No sugar coating, just the truth. Bella could accept that, her time is yet to come. She smiled as Silas kissed her. She allowed his touch on her lips, she melted against him again, but never during the kiss did she forget Silas still doesn't love her more than Amara. Bella even allowed Silas to lead her to the bedroom to lay beside her. Silas doesn't love her enough now, but there was something twisted in Bella, deep in the roots of her being.
„I love you." She whispered while laying her head against his chest.
„Shh… Rest now." His arm wrapped around Bella. She didn't hear him, she was already in land of dreams where she was the hunter standing over dead prey.
Goodbye, Amara.
And there it is... I am not quite sure yet, but this story could end in next chapter... But if there is enough of you demanding more than I'll happily oblige.
Sorry for mistakes,
Wicked Daphne
