A/N: Hello readers! Time for another chapter! But more importantly, OMEGA RUBY AND ALPHA SAPPHIRE ARE FINALLY OUT! While I desperately want to no life this new game, I have a responsibility to my readers and will make sure to have the next chapter ready by next week. As always feel free to post any comments, reviews, or suggestions you have.

The three of us plummeted further down towards the ruined Celestic Town. The feeling of being in the wide open sky would have been quite nice... if it wasn't for the fact that our HP would hit zero if we crash landed.

Misaki and Ryota grabbed their pokeballs and quickly threw out Altaria and Honchcrow to fly on. I reached for Starraptor's pokeball, until I realized something. Starraptor was with Clair!

"Ren, hang on!" Misaki yelled, having Altaria dive down towards me. Unfortunately, I was falling faster than Altaria was flying. She wouldn't be able to reach me in time.

Well, never thought I'd go out like this.

I closed my eyes as the ground got closer and closer. Suddenly, the sensation of falling stopped as two talons grabbed me by the shoulders. I looked up to see a familiar face.

"Starraptor?! But how-"

"How else?" a voice answered. Bending over Starraptor, was Clair, with a big grin on her face. "Bet you didn't expect this!"

"No, I definitely didn't." I agreed. Starraptor slowly descended and released me when we got inches from the ground. I thanked it and returned it to its pokeball. "Thanks sis. I owe you one."

As I caught my breath from having my life flash before my eyes, Misaki and Ryota landed onto the ground. Misaki jumped off of Altaria and came running over to me. "Ren! You're ok! Thank goodness!" The female trainer wrapped her arms around me and started crying. "I was so worried."

"I don't know whether to laugh or puke." Ryota sighed.

Misaki glared viciously at the black haired trainer. "Shut it! You're just jealous cause you don't have any friends!"

Ryota smirked at the girl's comment. "Oh yeah. I'm super jealous." he said sarcastically. "I mean, who wouldn't want someone as obnoxiously annoying as you for a friend?"

"Why you little-"

"Alright you two, break it up." I interrupted. "Come on. We just saved everyone in the game. We should be celebrating."

"I'm all for that." a voice called out. We looked over to see Riley walking up to us, along with Cheryl and a bunch of other trainers. "I can't believe you guys did it. You're heroes now."

That night, we all held a huge party in Hearthome City to celebrate Team Reaper's defeat. We would have had it in Celestic Town... but it was kinda trashed after all that happened. All the surviving members were captured and sent to prison. I was able to pull a few strings and got them to release Darach's sister Caitlyn. She gave us a thank you and then disappeared into the night. After that, life pretty much went back to normal. At least as normal as it can get in a death game. Clair, Misaki, and I prepared to head out for Sunnyshore City the next day. After all, we still had one final badge to get.

As I was eating breakfast, Misaki pulled me aside and asked me to come with her. She lead me to a closed off area behind the pokemon center. "What's wrong, Misaki?" I asked.

The female trainer seemed to be in deep thought about something. She finally looked at me with a clear expression on her face. "Don't overthink this. Ok?"

I looked at the girl, confused. "What are you-"

Before I could finish, Misaki pulled me in close and kissed me. My eyes opened wide and my face was more red than it had ever been in my life. When she finished, her face was painted red as well.

"Misaki?! What was..." I couldn't even finish my scentence because I was so flustered.

"It's just... while we've been traveling... God this is difficult." Misaki sighed.

"Well you're the one that kissed me! And by the way, exactly how am I supposed to not overthink that?!"

Misaki continued to blush even more. "Well... at some point in our journey I began to feel differently about you. I didn't know what it meant, but now I think I do. You're always so strong, and kind, and caring. Ren... I love you."

After she said that, I went from flustered to absolutely speechless. Misaki stared at me, waiting for a response. "Well? Say something!"

"I... I never knew... you felt that way." I said.

"And? How do you feel about me?" Misaki asked.

My mind rushed through all the memories I had with this girl. We saved each other's lives back on day 1. We had traveled all over Sinnoh together. We battled countless trainers. At some point, did I begin to feel the same? Suddenly, I remembered when we first came to Hearthome City. I was made speechless when I saw Misaki perform in the contest. After she won, she kissed me in a freak accident... but I didn't want that kiss to stop.

A smile formed on my face after I had found my answer. "Yes. I love you, Misaki."

Misaki began to have tears roll down her eyes as her face transformed into a look of pure happiness. "Oh Ren!" She wrapped herself around me and nuzzled her head against my shoulder.

I'll never understand girls.

The sound of clapping interrupted our moment. We turned to see Ryota leaning against a tree with a smirk on his face. Both mine and Misaki's cheeks got so red, you'd think we were drunk.

"R-R-R-Ryota! H-How long have you been standing there?!" Misaki exclaimed.

"Oh, long enough." the black haired trainer smirked. "Bout time you confessed how you felt, Misaki."

"You jerk! Why are you always like this?!" Misaki glared.

"Because... we're friends aren't we?" Misaki and I stood there in shock with our mouths wide open. Ryota wasn't exactly the kind of guy to say he had friends. "Anyways... see you around." He turned around and walked away, leaving the two of us alone.

"Did he just call us... friends?" I asked.

Misaki nodded. "Yeah. I think he just did."

We walked back into the pokemon center and met up with Clair. We left the city and headed out, going towards the last gym keeping us from our goal.

A/N: To all you fans that have wanted to see a Ren X Misaki, here it is. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and what's to come.
