A/N: I see you all loved my cliffhanger at the end of the last chapter! ;D
If you're wondering why I was so cruel, it was because I couldn't make up my mind. Part of me wanted to kill off Wally, but the other part of me didn't. So I settled. I "killed" him off but brought him back. Even if I didn't have that cliffhanger, you guys didn't need to worry about me actually killing off Wally. I don't think I'd be able to do that xD
Anyways, as promised, here's another chapter to follow it up. I wasn't just going to leave you guys hanging! I couldn't do that. Well... I could but I won't!
I only own Felicity, Clare, and the plot.
Enjoy my wonderful readers! And remember, the review box is your friend! Seriously though. I'd love to hear some ideas on maybe some future events!
MOUNT PLEASANT
July 4, 22:04 EDT
Felicity shook her head. She stumbled backwards until she hit the door. Using it as support, she pressed a hand to her forehead, sliding shakily to the floor. Tears had already begun to streak down her cheeks as her mind raced, attempting to make sense of what she was seeing.
"You're not real," She breathed out, eyes glued to the carpet below, "I-I'm just imagining things." That was the only thing her mind could come up with. The Team and League tried to find Wally, in fact, they were still looking for him, but they had found nothing. Not even any traces. He just vanished.
The bed creaked. Felicity snapped her head up. Wally had a pained expression on his face as he stepped towards the sobbing girl. He imagined his 'death' would cause her pain, but he didn't think it would be this bad.
There were obvious bags under her eyes, though Felicity did her best to hide them, from her lack of sleep. Her blonde hair was a mess, most likely from a combination of the rain and depression. What caught Wally off guard the most, though, were her brown eyes. They were dull, empty, no longer shining brightly.
Felicity pressed herself further into the door as Wally approached her. Head whipping violently back and forth, she mumbled a pitiful, "Stop." She couldn't do this, "P-please, just stop. Y-you're not real."
"Felicity," Wally cooed, kneeling down. He reached out, hesitating slightly as she flinched away, "Babe, I'm real." He hooked his finger under Felicity's chin, gently raising her face. Tears were still flowing out of her eyes, but they were slowly stopping.
As soon as his hand made contact with her chin, Felicity tensed. His touch… it felt so real. His hands were calloused and slightly cold, but it didn't matter. It was his touch. It was so vivid, so real. Felicity was having a hard time comprehending what was going on. She had been almost positive that her mind was playing tricks on her, projecting an image of Wally just so she would feel better. But now, now she wasn't so sure. She didn't feel like it was possible for herself to so vividly feel Wally's touch, like she was now.
Her brown eyes met his emerald ones, "Wally?" She asked timidly. Felicity hesitantly reached her hand out. Her fingers were mere centimeters away from Wally's cheek when she paused. Taking a deep breath, she gently caressed Wally's cheek. The speedster smiled at his girlfriend's touch, but that quickly changed.
Felicity's eyes widened when her fingers didn't simply go through him. A sense of relief flooded through her, but that was quick to change to anger. Her gentle caressing turned into a hard slap, causing Wally's eyes to widen in shock.
Without so much as an explanation, Felicity shot to her feet. She strolled over to the window as Wally composed himself. Brown eyes stared blankly out the window, watching as the storm raged on. Behind her, Wally stood up, rubbing his cheek. It was slowly turning red as the stinging sensation died down.
"Well that's not the reaction I was expecting," Wally muttered. He eyed Felicity wearily, closely studying her body language.
Felicity's frame shuddered. She wasn't sure what to feel. One minute she was happy, relieved that Wally was actually alive. And now? Now she was angry.
"Y-you were gone," She choked out, eyes still firmly glued to the rain. He broke his promise, he left her.
Wally felt his heart shatter at her tone. She was broken, that much was obvious, "I know," Wally simply agreed, running a hand through his red locks, "I-I'm not sure myself what happened."
Thunder clapped in the distance as Felicity shakily turned around. Her brown eyes finally took in Wally's current state. There were tears in various locations on his Kid Flash costume. His hair was disheveled, red hair poking out at different angles. His skin was pale, paler than usual that is.
Felicity covered her mouth with her hand, holding back a sob. Wally looked worn, beaten. Almost like he went to hell and back.
Which he very well might have.
Seconds ticked by as the couple stood, a few feet separating the two of them. Outside, the storm continued to torment the earth. Rain pounded the ground, soaking it as lightning lit the sky up. Felicity felt as though as storm was raging on inside of her. She wasn't sure how to react anymore. Her emotions were all jumbled and mixed.
She was a mess.
Felicity glanced back up to find Wally staring at her. The anger she had felt immediately disappeared as she regained her composure. She had no right to be mad at Wally. He never meant to hurt her, to leave her like that.
In the blink of an eye, Wally felt a firm body collide into his. A soft grin spread across his face as he glanced down, eyes settling on the familiar mop of blonde hair. Felicity's arms were wrapped tightly around Wally's torso. Tears were streaking down her cheeks, but they were no longer tears of sadness. Felicity had Wally back.
"Y-you're h-here," The girl sobbed out, clutching Wally like he was her lifeline, "You're r-really here."
Wally buried his head in Felicity's mop of blonde hair, relishing in her scent, "I am, beautiful. I really am."
"I thought I'd lost you," She mumbled, voice slightly muffled by Wally's chest. Sobs still wracked the girl's body, and even more came as she remembered Barry relaying the news he was gone.
"I know," Wally murmured. The red head pulled away slightly from his girlfriend. Calloused thumbs rubbed under her eyes, wiping away stray tears, "But I'm back and I'm never leaving you again."
"You better not," Felicity mumbled. She stared deeply into Wally's emerald eyes before crashing her lips onto his fervently. Wally kissed back eagerly, never wanting to let go of Felicity again. He was where he belonged, in her arms and vice versus.
THE WATCHTOWER
July 5, 07:36 EDT
You know that saying 'spread like a wildfire'? Well that's exactly what happened with the news of Wally's return. Not even half an hour after Wally showed up on the Watchtower, the whole League, and Team, had flocked to the floating space station.
The common area was filled with excited murmurs and speculations as Wally caught up with each and every superhero comrade. No one was quite sure as to what happened. In fact, Wally could barely recall what happened to him. No matter how many times he repeated his story, no new memories came to mind of that day. The last thing he could remember was watching his very own hands fade from existence, and that was enough to spur panic in the speedster.
Flash had some speculations, seeing as he was the one who was the most adamant (next to Felicity) about finding Wally. They all revolved around the Speed Force, which Flash explained was what Jay Garrick believed to be the source of the speedster's powers. However, it was unclear to Flash as to how Wally escaped, if that even was where he was at.
Nonetheless, it was unimportant. The important part was the fact that they had Wally back.
The whole time Wally mingled with the Team and League, Felicity stayed by his side. Their hands were firmly clasped together, each of them being afraid to lose the other again.
After about half an hour of mingling, Bart finally got a chance to talk to Wally. The auburn haired teen stepped up to his 'cousin', a soft grin on his face. Scratching the back of his neck, Bart laughed nervously, "Does this mean I have to return the mantle of Kid Flash to you?"
Wally chuckled, shaking his head, "Nah. A promise is a promise after all."
"Really?" Bart chirped, smiling from ear to ear. Felicity smiled at the younger speedster, "But what about you?"
"I'm leaving the hero game," Wally shrugged. He paused before adding, "For good this time."
"Like I told you, Bart," Felicity chimed in softly, causing the younger teen to look over at her, "We never should've come back."
Wally nodded. His hand, which was firmly grasped in Felicity's own, squeezed hers tightly, "This life just isn't for us anymore."
As Bart opened his mouth to speak, Flash came walking over. He threw a grin Felicity and Wally's way before clasping his hand on Bart's shoulder, "Well, kid, Central needs us."
Bart grinned up at the elder speedster before zooming off, throwing a goodbye over his shoulder. Flash chuckled before glancing back at Wally. A soft smile settled on his face as he studied his nephew. It still puzzled the speedster as to what happened to Wally, but it was best to not dwell on it. He was here now and that was what mattered.
Wally dropped Felicity's hand as Flash stepped closer, throwing his arms around his nephew, "It's good to have you back, Wally." Flash said as the two speedsters pulled away.
Wally nodded, slinging an arm around Felicity's shoulders, "It's good to be back."
Flash smiled again before quickly giving Felicity a hug, "I best be off," He said, turning to walk away, "Can't let Bart have all the action!"
Felicity chuckled as Wally waved at the departing speedster. She curled herself further into Wally's side, letting out a content sigh. It had been a while since Felicity felt truly happy. When Wally disappeared, she felt as though a part of her had also disappeared. She tried her best not to, but Felicity became depressed. It was hard to not become depressed when the love of your life just up and disappears.
Wally glanced down, soaking up the image of his girlfriend. She looked so content. A soft smile was spread across her thin lips, her eyes closed as if in thought. Smiling fondly, he murmured, "Penny for your thoughts?"
"Are my thoughts only worth one penny to you?" Felicity quipped back. Her brown eyes opened, gazing up into Wally's own emerald ones.
Wally chuckled. He lifted his hand up, caressing her soft cheek, "You know they're worth so much more than that to me."
"I know," Felicity grinned. Her grin faltered slightly as she cast her eyes downwards. With a sigh, she shifted slightly, "I was just thinking about how much I missed you."
"Really?" The speedster questioned. He gently cupped her chin, forcing Felicity to look up at him. A sly smile spread across his face, "And just how much did you miss me?" He murmured huskily, breath tickling Felicity's lips.
She shivered slightly, biting her lower lip as she looked up at her boyfriend through thick lashes, "A lot."
Wally grinned before dipping down, capturing his girlfriend's soft lips with his own. Felicity let out a soft, quiet moan as she relished the feeling of Wally's lips on her own. The couple were quick to forget about the crowd of heroes that had gathered in the common area of the Watchtower. It didn't matter though. To the two, it was just them.
Finally, when Wally and Felicity separated to air, a cat call- one Wally was pretty positive came from Dick- echoed in the quiet area and was soon followed by the eruption of applause. Felicity froze. A red blush crept up her cheeks as she buried her face in her boyfriend's chest. Wally chuckled, body rumbling under Felicity's small frame. He ran a hair through his red locks as he fought to ward off the blush that painted his cheeks.
"I forgot they were there," Felicity murmured, voice slightly dampened by Wally's chest.
"Me too, babe," Wally agreed, smiling sheepishly at the heroes, "Me too."
A/N: I apologize for the shortness of this chapter. It did have more to it, including Clare and Tim, but Word crashed on me and the only part that I had saved was this part. So yeah. I figured I'd get this /short/ chapter out because hey, better than nothing right?
Just so you guys know, I'm not going to post like an official sequel. I'm going to continuously update this story with new chapters. I don't know why, but thinking of a sequel just stresses me out but adding like 10-15ish more chapters to this story doesn't xD I'm weird.
I don't want to add this, but I feel I have to now: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't go stealing my plot. It kind of really upsets me. It's happened to me more and more lately. I know I, in a way, steal the shows plot (but I give them credit where they deserve it!) but other than that, anything my brain comes up with is mine. I've found a few stories, none from this site, that have taken my plot, incorporated their character, and called it their own. One was even word for word with mine! Just please, don't steal my plot or anybody else's plot! It does more harm than good for you and almost makes me not want to write.
Ending on a positive note, the next chapter will contain a plethora of Clare/Tim! As well as maybe some Wally/Felicity. But I feel Clare/Tim need some more time to their selves xD
Review my lovely readers! Grace me with your thoughts and words!
