Chapter 20: Khaos Brigade's Strongest Faction

(Saito)

Together with Julio, I was running though out Romalia, looking for that girl, Xena. She made it very clear that she's the new Void mage. For crying out loud, she used the [World Door] spell! I just wonder why she ran away like that.

"Hey Julio, it seemed like that girl knew you. Mind if I ask how?"

"She's the His Holiness little sister. I've never personally met her, but His Holiness had many pictures of her and would talk about her every now and again. Although I've never really paid attention, so I kind of forgot about her until now."

This is getting very interesting. As I was thinking all of this, we made it back to the Ostland. When we got there, I saw that everyone was already there. It looked like they were waiting for us. So we just walked up to everyone, and Azazel was the first to talk.

"So, did you two have any better luck then us?"

"Actually, we did meet her. Her name is Xena and she can, unfortunately, cast the [World Door]."

As soon as I said that, Louise sighed.

"So she ran away from you. What did you do to her, Saito?"

"I didn't do anything! Who do you think I am, Issei?"

"Well, I suppose you do have a point. If anyone was going to cause a girl any trouble, it would be him."

"Hey, is that really the way people see me?"

Louise just took out her wand and Issei shut his mouth. He's as scared of Louise as ever. Well, I can't really blame him. I had been on the receiving end of her [Explosion] for longer then I'd like to remember. And Issei has experienced the might that is Louise Françoise le Blanc de Des Ornières. Anyways, once the criticizing of Issei was done, we went back to the main topic of Xena, by Azazel.

"So, what's [World Door]? Is it like the [World Gate]?"

Louise just sighed.

"Well, yeah, I guess it can be considered a lesser version of the [World Gate]. The [World Door] can take you anywhere you want in the world, but only in the world, while the [World Gate] can take you anywhere in the universe. Of course, you need to know what the place you want to go to looks like, or have someone else think of it for you."

"I see, so that must mean that she's still here in the city somewhere, right. So we just have to figure out where she is before the [Mystery Faction] does."

Well, that's easier said than done. She could be anywhere in this city. Does he have any idea how big this place is? As I was thinking this, Rias walked over to Julio.

"Julio, do you mind if I have a look at those runes on our hand?"

"No, of course not."

He took off his glove from his right hand and should Rias the runes of [Vindálfr]. She then touched it and her hand started to give off a crimson glow. As if reacting to it, the rune of [Vindálfr] gave off their glow. Then, they turned crimson too.

"What's going on?"

"It's just a small spell employed by us devils. You see, a familiar getting lost isn't that common, but it does happen. So, in order to find it, we us this spell on the contract and it will lead us to the familiar. I'm merely putting it in reverse and making it so that the familiar can find the master."

After some time, she put her hand down and looked at him with as smile. Julio looked over in one direction, and smiled.

"It seems like it's working. I can feel a strong presence pulling me over there."

I just smiled.

"Well then, I say we get going. Don't want to have to wait to find the [Valley of Hestia] any longer."

With that, we made our way in the direction that Julio said Xena was. I just hope we find her before those [Mystery Faction] guys do.

(Xena)

I was on my way towards the back exit of Romalia, when, suddenly, two people walked up in front of me. I couldn't tell who it was since they were wearing a dark robe. It's nothing new for me. People usually appear in front of me like this all the time, trying to get me to become a servant or something. I would just ignore them and cast [World Door], but before I could get my wand out…

"Hello Lady Xena. It's good to see you again."

I recognized his voice. It was the voice of the one person I wanted to the most, right after Victor.

"Are you…?"

He removed his hood and reviled his face to me. He was a young man in his early twenties. He has pitch black hair and pitch black eyes. I my suspicions were confirmed.

"Chernobog! I thought that you were dead! I thought that the Ancient Dragon ate you! Where in Halkeginia have you been?"

He just lightly smiled at me. Then she pointed at his friend.

"With my friends. This is one of them, her name is Louhi."

The lady took off her hood and reviled her face. She had long platinum blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. She was extremely beautiful. So beautiful in fact that I was feeling kind of jealous, which never happens, and I've seen some gorgeous women in my life. For example, I have caught a glimpse of that Tiffania girl before. Of course, I also felt a dangerous aura coming off of her. I don't know why, but I get the feeling that she's not someone I want to be around very much.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Louhi."

She just stood there. Yep, not someone I want to get to know. Chernobog then looked back at me.

"Lady Xena, I'll make this fast. We want you to join us. Come with me and join our faction of Khaos Brigade."

Now, if it was a few months ago, I would have gone for it, but now… I was hesitant. The reason, I saw something in his eyes that wasn't there before, no, I probably never noticed it. His eyes, there was no kindness in there, just pure darkness. I was actually starting to get scared a little. So I secretly grabbed my wand.

"Um, thanks, but I think I'll pass on that. I really have to get going now."

I was about to open a [World Door] when my hand was grabbed my something. I looked and saw that it was that Louhi girl. She was looking down at me with cold eyes.

"I thought you said you could convince her to join us?"

Chernobog brushed it off.

"So I was wrong, what's your point. Like our leader, Angra Mainyu, said. If she doesn't come willingly, then we just have to take her by force. Now then, let's get that troublesome wand away from you for now."

This isn't good. I have to find a way to get out of here, and fast. As I was trying to think of a way out…

"Get away from His Holiness' little sister!"

A sword came down at Louhi. She let go of me and jumped back next to Chernobog. I looked and saw that that one who saved me was Julio Chesaré. Next to him were the other [Familiar of Void], the Void mages, and some other people. One of them, a guy who looks to be in his twenties with black hair and golden bangs, gasped as soon as he saw them. Chernobog just giggled a bit and Louhi glared at the new the guy with black/gold hair. Chernobog was the one who spoke first.

"Azazel-boy, it's been awhile. I see you've brought a Gremory with you, and not one, but the last three Void mages. Good, that saves time."

The familiar, Saito, turned to Azazel.

"Azazel, you know these two."

"Yes, and because of that they're wearing the uniform, I also know the true identity of the [Mystery Faction]. This is bad, very bad."

He took a deep breath and said, in a serious voice…

"The guy is an Evil God from Slavic mythology, Chernobog, and the woman is an Evil Goddess of Finnish mythology, Louhi. The [Mystery Faction], it must be…"

"That's right Azazel-boy. This is the [Evil God Faction]!"

Chernobog said while laughing. I don't know what's going on, but I defiantly got a bad feeling about this.

It's been awhile, but I'm back. Also, as promised, I reviled the true identity of the [Mystery Faction]. The [Evil God Faction]! How can our DxD and FoZ friends stand up to something like this? Also, what could gods want to Void? Just wait and see. Well, hope you keep reading.
