Author's Note:
Hey guys I'm finally back I hope you enjoy this chapter, I will upload this story as frequently as I can. Don't worry you won't be waiting years till the next chapter lol. Also, if you decided to read this story again from the beginning I have made a few edits to the previous chapters to make the story easier to read. There are no major edits. If you have already read this story again then you may notice that this chapter is similar to a chapter that was already up. I deleted that chapter as I didn't like it and it was to identical to another chapter I had up, so I rewrote the chapter and deleted and added a lot of new stuff.
This is not a replica of the other chapter so don't worry you haven't been duped lol. It's not the longest chapter but I hope you enjoy it anyway :).
Piper's POV:
Piper walks into the kitchen.
"Good Morning."
"Hey Paige, thanks for looking after Wyatt for me again."
"No problem."
Taking Paige's place, Piper continues to feed Wyatt.
"So, how is your genus plan to get Chris to eat more homemade meals going?"
"Better than I expected. I have finally been able to get him to eat a decent homemade meal time to time, even if I have to force feed it down his throat."
"Piper, Chris is a big boy, I'm sure he is able to at least feed himself" Paige laughs.
"Yes, well he is my boy regardless of how big he gets and if I have to force feed him to get him to eat I will."
"What are you going to do, strap him down to a high chair and force feed him?"
"If need be, yes."
Paige laughs. "I don't think that would go down so well."
"What wouldn't go down so well?" Chris asks walking into the kitchen, Book of Shadows in his hands.
"Chris! Hey" Piper gives a heart filled smile.
"Hey."
"Kwiss" Wyatt reaches out to his brother.
"Hey Wy."
"Kwiss" Wyatt reaches out to Chris so he could carry him.
Looking at Wyatt he makes no move towards his brother, it's sad that he is unable to differentiate baby Wyatt to the evil one who has killed many people including his family members.
"Hmm, are you hungry? I can make you-"
"That's not why I'm here Piper, I don't know how much I can stress to you that I didn't come here to play happy families. I came here to save my psychopathic brother which means finding whoever turned him evil. Not wasting my time having homemade meals."
"Hey, cut your mother some slack, she just worried about you and trying to feed you a decent meal."
Chris rolls his eyes at Paige's comment.
I watch in slight shock as a frustrated Wyatt orbs himself into Chris's arms.
"Kwiss play."
"Not now Wyatt" Chris puts Wyatt back in his high chair and Wyatt pouts in response.
Chris lets out a frustrated breath, facing the sisters. "I need you to help me vanquish a demon."
"Alright" I say automatically just happy to spend time with my son, even if that time consists of vanquishing demons and being in the underworld. As well as to distract myself from the fact that my son doesn't want to be near his brother.
"I need you to call Phoebe, were going to need the power of three."
"OK, do you mind telling us what demon we're vanquishing?"
"I'll tell you Paige, when Phoebe gets here. We're going to need to go to magic school as Gideon should have more knowledge of the demon than what's is in the Book of Shadows, him being an elder and all."
"Great, just when I thought I would have a demon free day."
"Paige, you saw what your future consists of yet you still complain about going demon hunting, if anything I thought the death of daughter would-"
I see the dread and anger in Paige's face as Chris continues, and because of the hurt in my baby sister's eyes I know I have to put a stop to Chris's word.
"Chris that's enough. We understand what we have to prevent the future we saw, but your comments are not helpful right now. Especially bring that up again, it is painful for any mother. Now I understand that you're angry with us, but whether you like it or not Paige is your aunt and I am your mother and I won't allow you to speak her like that."
Sighing Chris looks at Paige apologetically, "Sorry."
I can't help but feel slightly proud that I was able to stand my ground, that he even apologized. Our relationship is slowly getting better and slowly improving for the better despite his comments.
Paige nods in response.
"Now you go to magic school and we will meet you there with Phoebe"
I wait for his orbs to disappear before I release a much needed breath, scolding him for the way his been acted towards Paige went more smoothly than I expected. I'm even shocked he accepted me scolding him for the first time. Clearly cared about what we think about him even though he will never admit it, that my approval... No, that's not the right word, my perception of him means something. Which is a really good sign, it means he cares, he cares about us, Not future us, but us now. Which is more than what I thought he felt a few days ago.
"Thanks, Pip I know that was hard for you"
I just smile in response; she shouldn't have to thank me for that.
"Come on let's go get Phoebe before my son-"
"Throws a tantrum."
"Paige"
"What?"
Piper sighs shaking her head "Don't let Chris hear you say that."
"Wouldn't dream of it."
Piper picks Wyatt up and makes her way out of the kitchen with Paige following behind her.
After the vanquish me, my sisters and Chris wait for Gideon in the library, waiting for him to tell us about the next demon he thinks might potentially might try to turn Wyatt. However, I can't help but to not ignore the look he gives me every time I hold Wyatt, how he makes it clear to let me know every time I see him that Leo should be up there with the rest of the Elders. Which I make sure to let him know it's none of his business what me and Leo do. Leo said Gideon was of the elders who approved our relationship, fought for us. I don't know what's changed since then.
He finally walks in and I hold Wyatt closer to me, I don't know why but I just do. I do believe Leo when he says he won't leave me, us, again but I just can't help the need to protect my family around him or around any Elder.
"You asked me to come, so I assume you have new leads for me to look up?"
"Actually, that's not why I called you here today Chris. I called you here as I was made aware that you all went to the future?"
"Yes, so what?"
Chris suspicion and distrust towards Gideon was clear in his voice.
"You know I only want to help Christopher."
"It's Chris."
"Chris. I wouldn't have called you all here if I didn't want to help, I want to make sure Wyatt is safe just as much as you."
"If you want to do that than just make sure you keep the list of Demons coming. Is that all?"
"Why do you refuse to tell me of the future? Are you trying to hide something? Something more than just the twice bless being attacked?"
"Now that's enough Gideon, you know better than anyone the risk of changing things if one knows about the future. Future consequences and all."
I won't let him interrogate my son as if he done something wrong, as if he is a criminal. Why is he so interested anyway?
"I am fully aware of future consequences, but, Chris has come to change the past has he not? So what is the harm telling me what you saw?"
"You know what we don't have time for this Gideon, it's none of your business what they saw or how my future is just know I've come to change it."
"So the future needs to be changed?"
"I thought that was already clear, you know I don't just time jump for the sake of it."
"And your only here to stop someone from attacking Wyatt?"
"Yes, that's all?"
"And your certain you don't know who it is?"
Chris gives Gideon a curious look and I look between the two, confused as to what has Gideon asking all these questions and why Chris is so hostile towards him.
"Clearly or I wouldn't have asked you of all people for help."
"And why do you say that?"
Gideon rushes out nervously before clearing his throat.
"Future consequences."
I can't help the smirk that slowly creeps onto my face as I know Gideon would be irritated by Chris response, God knows I used to despise when he said those two words.
"Far enough, anyway I will leave you to continue your research, Paige can I talk to you quickly?"
"Hmm. Yeah sure."
I watch as my baby sister leaves with the Elder and I watch as Chris watches the Elder leave, his irritation clear in his eyes.
"Piper?"
I was so focused on our son I didn't realize Leo orbing in, I turn around to face him.
"Hi."
"You didn't tell me you would be here; I was worried when I found no one home."
"Sorry."
He nods in response.
"Well, I have better things to do."
"Chris-"
"What mum? I have leads to chase."
I completely ignore his attitude and the way he said mum, just happy he said the words regardless of how they were said.
"Come home Chris, have dinner with us."
"I don't have the time Piper."
"So were back to Piper again?"
He sighs in response.
"Please Chris, just listen to your mother."
"And who are you to tell me anything?"
"Chris-" Leo tries to calm down our son's sudden anger.
"No! I didn't come here to play family; we are not the Brady bunch!"
"How do you even know that show?"
I give Phoebe a look that tells her that now is not the time for that. Even though if we weren't under such circumstances, I would ask him the same question.
Chris rolled his eyes before orbing out, and I can't help but sigh, sometimes I wish I could take that power away from both my sons, a power I know will be annoying no matter what age they both are.
"He hates me."
"No, he doesn't Leo."
"I know you saw the hatred in his eyes."
"You will get through to him Leo, you weren't there for him in the future, it will take time."
"I hope your right."
"I know I'm right."
"Well, you know since the threat is gone and all would you mind orbing me to my office Leo/"
Not responding, Leo does as he is asked.
Leo walks up to Wyatt and Piper and Wyatt fusses in Piper's arms so he could enter Leo's.
"At least one of my sons are happy to see me."
I can't help but give Leo a sad smile. I know if he tries he will get through to Chris, we both will we just have to be persistent.
